If the government is unable to track people with available data they have already, it is not because of existing database but poor technological infrastructure to implement that. Go and commit any serious crime and see whether government cannot trace your whereabouts. How many fugitives do we have roaming in the country freely?

This will not also solve the problem. To put a final stamp on the EndSARS campaign, I think we need to legalize guns in Nigeria like USA did. People with a job that requires them to move around more often or that live in remote places should be given a license to carry some types of gun for protection, this can be a revolver or pump action riffle. This will enable them to protect themselves against bandits because they are the people most vulnerable to such attacks. Police or military will think twice before they harrass you on the road if they know that you have a backup to defend yourself with.

Filmmaker Mnena Akpera is currently writhing in pains after her boyfriend’s wife, Faith Udende, allegedly assaulted her and scalded her with hot water in Makurdi, Benue State.

It was gathered that Jeff Udende’s wife found out that he had bought a house for Mnena where they allegedly meet for coitus. This prompted her to pay Mnena an impromptu visit.

“The wife had asked the side chic to leave the house her husband bought for her which Mnena ignored.

Faith decided to pay Mnena an unscheduled visit and beat her before pouring hot water over her body. She then proceeded to lock her up in the house absconding with the keys.

It took the intervention of friends to break the door to access Mnena and quickly rush her to the hospital where she’s currently receiving medical treatment,” a source said.

The Management of the Lekki Concession Company (LCC) has disclosed that it is ready to show the footage of Lekki toll gate shooting.

This was made known by the agency's Head of the Legal Department, Mr Gbolahan Agboluwaje who appeared before the Lagos State Judicial Panel of Inquiry for Restitution for Victims of SARS and related abuses and Other Matters on Friday October 30. He also disclosed that there are hours of recordings on the CCTV footage.

Commenting on summons of presenting the October 20 footage, an investigation report and any other document, Agboluwaje stated that no investigative report or document is available.

He said;

“LCC is prepared to air the footage before the panel” but no investigative report or document is available.

“We have the footage. We do not have an investigation report because we know that investigations are ongoing and we have not been able to provide any document.

“We had a very short notice and we brought what we were able to lay our hands on."

The Head of the Legal Department of LCC who also disclosed the Managing Director of LCC, Abayomi Omomuwa would not be able to testify due to the short notice, said this was because the company was yet to hire an external counsel to represent the MD.
