Why didn't others die right?
If he's sick before he drank the oil things will be fatal, if you drank engine oil on the normal day, you just purge. If he's beaten if he's sick, things will be fatal, if you are beaten on a normal day you either get sick or wounded. Now if he's sick, drank engine oil, and gets beaten, he won't survive it.
That, is just a possibility out of a thousand possibilities.
