that's what am saying, to every Nigeria restructuring is something different. there is no one who has come in clear term to define or enlighten us on what thee restructuring is all about. they keep making use of the word when they don't know what it means. To u restructuring has to do with devolution of power, the central government should be less powerful and can be charge of some key ministries. the state should be tasked with generating revenue and developing theirr states.i disagree in all terms for one to think that restructuring in such manner is the way forward for our dear nation. I wonder what will happen to the masses if the state are given more power and saddle with so much responsibility. the type of governors we have are not ready to work, they still depend on the federal allocation acccrued to them by the federal government. and when they are paid the money is not well utilized and even for the common needs of workers which is payment oof salary and pensioners are not paid or pay less. how is that the fault of the central government. I also agree that we need a change from the conventional way of doing things but restructuring is not the way. this method did work before and so many issues were tackled but it has been strained base on our current way of living. it's no more a square peg in a round hole.
The system makes your governors lazy and some appear lazy. The fact that there is a pot of money to be shared every month made them lazy. The fact the system is soooooooo messed up, made the governors of Borno and Yobe to hide under insurgency.

Are you aware that Kebbi and Niger States can feed this country comfortable? Are you aware that Lagos State alone can generate the power that the whole of South West can use? The same can be said of Katsina for the whole of North West? Are you aware that Enugu and Ebonyi can use the coal and limestone in abundance in their respective states can provide power to the whole of South East and the gas in Nigeria Dealt can serve that region perfectly?

What is making the governors of these places not utilizing these opportunities? The system.

Make no mistake, restructuring cannot solve our problem. Restructuring means changing the unworkable system that we have now.

LiteratureRe: Politics Or Poligreed by Sensitivity1254: 5:03am On Jul 21, 2017
Hahahaha.

Restructuring does not mean we should go back to parliamentary system of govt. It means changing the system. We claim that we are operating Federalism but in truth we are operating unitary system.

Restructuring can be changing the unitary to true federalism.
Restructuring can be reducing the powers of the FG and giving them to the States. Take a look at the exclusive list.

Leadership has nothing to do with age.

Anyone can make a difference.

You talked about recycling. Do you the people that populated the US Senate? Majority of them were former governors. Some of them have been in the Senate for 8 terms. Do you know the age of Benie Sanders? John McCain? Even the current senate leader? Are you aware that the current VP was formerly a senator and then became a Governkr before becoming a VP? Are you aware that Obama was once a senator? Hillary Clinton was a senator? There is nothing wrong having oldies people in politics or having people from same family in politics. What matters is the end product. About ten years ago, the President and Prime Minister of Poland were identical twins. One of them died few years ago in a plane crash in Russia. The surviving one is now also the President of Poland.

You talk of Youth, I ask, which youths? Is the Governor of Kogi not a youth? The speaker of NASS not a youth? Was Ibori and Orji Kalu not youths when they became Governors? What did they achieve?

Are you talking about the current crop of youths who are worst than the old men that we have in politics today?
LiteratureRe: Politics Or Poligreed by Sensitivity1254: 7:47pm On Jul 20, 2017
Many things we get wrong about our problem as a country is that we don't really know what is the cause of our problems.

The major thing affecting us is the system. This Unitary system that the military foisted on us is not and will not help us. No matter the person we elected. Take a thousand of the best of mind world all over and put them into one person, the person will still fail. Why? Nigeria is configured to fail.

Another issue is what we call our constitution. 1999 constitution is one of the set back to this country. It deserves to be thrown into the trash bin.

The issue of incompetence comes last.

The constitution rest too much power on the centre. The President and the FG is the alpha and omega. This has redenered our states useless. States were supposed to be an incubator of ideas as its obtainable in US. The FG emulate the ideas that works in states. States supposed to be competitive but it's not so in Nigeria. Why? The system and constitution.

Why do you think that everyone is calling for restructuring? It's cos the system is not working. Why should Lagos and other southern States share the VATS they received from cigarettes and alcohol companies with those states in the north that destroys bottles of beers? Why should a state Jn the north use the revenue allocation that he receives from the resources in the Source to sponsor mass wedding? why should the only functioning ports be in Lagos? Do you know how much the country is loosing due to the mess that is Apapa and the movement of ships and cargoes that were meant for Nigeria to Coutonu? Why can't we have a port in Ibaka which is a natural sea habour and that can serve the South South, South East, North Central and Central Africa very well? Do you know that the state of California has about 7 sea ports alone? Who built them? The state govt. Why should a state Govt wait for the FG to give approval first before he can build an Airport and repair a federal road? Why should South East wait for 50 years before it can get an International Airport? Why should South East beg before they can have a second Niger Bridge? Why is Tinapa not working? Do you know why Bayelsa state (a state that produces 50% of the oil that we sell) be connected to the National Grid(National Electicity) eight years ago? Why has the spillage and environmental degradation in the Niger Delta not attended to?

If we don't change the system, we are doomed. If you like import Leaders Frok outside Nigeria, once they come in, the system will strangulate them.

It's not about praying. If it's about praying, Nigeria would have been head and shoulder over every other country.

It's about having leaders with vision and dream. Making institutions to work which will help the leaders to actualise their dream and vision.

If we pray from now till the next thousand years, we won't shift a place.

It's biblical.

Sow and Reap.

Awaken to the reality of this world,
It occurs to me that nothing good comes easy,
And nothing bad comes difficult,
It's define as a game of chess,
For me it's a show of fame,

In a continent like Africa,
And a nation like Nigeria,
Religion and ethnicity has become a tool,
Since time immemorial,
Our leaders have use this weapon to success,
And we the masses wallow in abject poverty,

Every nation saddle with its challenges,
Every government with its myriad of problems,
From dictatorship to democracy,
From insurgency to seccession,

Our leaders: past and present,
Either in government or individual,
Coming with different ideas to solve our problem,
From the echo of restructuring,
To the roaring voice of seccesion,

The president is sick,
The acting president is under pressure,
Our politicians are heating up the polity,
The masses are hungry,
What next is the fate of the Nigeria as a nation?
Our fate? Doom.

she noticed all these things on tym bt she failed to do her duties as a wife by calling d husband to order wen it was early bt she instead waited till it was out of hand....i don't blame Michael much cos dat z what law of nature z all about cos women possess a attraction dat it takes strong willed nd minded men to escape d temptation bt Michael wasn't dat strong so he fell nd needed help on tym which didn't come early.if nt she waited for her hubby nd she caught him red handed when she met dat banquet nd card during his absence nd she sit him down nd talk sense into him after reprimanded his inability to have self control i knw he won't have gone dat far.tenkio!!!
Lolz.
Blame a partner for his/her partner's inability to say no to sexual overtures ? A married man not being able to control himself or lack of self control is the fault of the wife ?
She noticed Mike's infidelity and decided to forgive him and make amends. She sent her sister packing just because she want her marriage to work. Kelvin even helped to deliver Mike by making the video of Mike's secretary go viral thereby making her to lose her job. What did Mike do ? He worked out a transfer for her and still planned for another hanging with it which made him to cancel his travelling to Abuja with Sarah. He dicked Sarah. Same with Ebere. But let's blame his wife.

We keep finding excuses for cheating husbands, wives, boy friends and girl friends same way we do for abusers. And they keep growing in boldness to keep committing the shit they are doing which is a game to them.
I think the problem of Mike is his inability to realise that he is no longer that single guy in school that jumps from one skirt to another. And this has been the ruin of many a man and husband. The flirting and sexual laundering that they thoroughly involved in when they were single comes back in their later life to ruin them. I have seen many become victim of this.

@bolded is where the dilemma lies. Claire does not know Phil one bit forget all the attention, Care and love he is showing towards Claire, plus Claire is a matured lady. There is a reason she kept fighting for her marriage despite all the shiits Mike has done and we all saw how she almost broke down when Mike came begging the last time.

Am not an advocate of Phil, rara o. I would have preferred Kelvin to Phil cos She knows and understands him better. Where Phil came from, I Dnt know.

P.S...Michael should be punished adequately.

So, Claire is pregnant too? grin •••• Oga Mike should be a sperm donor Abeg...see sharing of children to the daughters of Eve cheesy
She almost broke down cos her husband made her lose her pregnancy and yet he is busy getting others pregnant like public he-goat. She nearly broke down cos she can't get over the fact that a man she loved and sacrificed for, fought to remain married to could do all the shitt to her. Sleeping with her workers, her blood sister (who supposed to a sister to Mike) and his secretary. She nearly broke down cos her own sister, her only family. Someone she brought up like a daughter can do that shiit to her.

My only challenge is Claire's association with Phil.

Phil is just acting to be who/what he is not.
All men pretend to be nice until they get what they want.
At this stage, what Claire should concentrate more on is finalising the divorce and get whatever she can from Michael.

Then Relocate!
take time to think about her life and next move
Not gallivanting around the whole place with Phil, who is obviously too good to be true!

@PamelB...This is a beautiful piece.Keep it up
"all men pretend to be nice... " we are too good with blanket generalisation. Phil hasn't shown that he is not what he is. From his interaction with his friend, it showed that he a perfect gentleman. What a lady need in a man. If he is after Claire or anythijg apart from love and her happiness, he would have taken advantage of Claire when she was broken and at her weak point. Remember how he handled her at the club in Abuja when she was intoxicated ? Nothing stopped him from devouring her but he restrained himself and did what a perfect gentleman should do.

She need her home more dan Phil b/cos she was a virgin wen she came into d home.nd Michael deflowered her so half part of d love z still wit her hubby.she z not at fault fully bt she caused herself some of dis misfortune dat befell her home....as for amara nd co i dnt have time to qualify dem cos it will be like am talking to an evil vulture.

Keep ur work goin dear u re a great writer nd u will shine beyond ur peer pamelB...
How is she the cause of her misfortune ? So coming into the home as Virgin should make her remain in bondage called marriage to Mike ? How matter how promiscuous your husband is, banging your own blood sister is the height of it. She even tried to make the marriage work.

Mike knees almost in tears..... after series of enchantments, he continues..... two options to break the spell.... it's either you bring her here or you make a human sacrifice.
Mike instantly knew his doom had come since neither option was a possibility, he lay there thinking for a long time when an idea came up.

okay baba..... can I get a love charm?....... for what? baba asks in total shock. since I no fit bring her here or do the sacrifice make she kukuma like me naw............ hmmmmmm baba murmurs as he finally hands him a small red bottle, drink a little of the content everyday for 3days, at the third day the charm would become potent and she would fall at your feet and do your biddings.
Thank you baba, Mike hands him one thousand naira note as he turns to leave........... heed to my words my son, baba warns finally, cos failure to abide by them might be very destructive.

It is not like i didn't believe his story entirely, but he is exaggerating it at some point.

Communal, religion, politics and Tribal clashes do happen all over the world we can't deny it.

As you said your people have taken your revenge by killing some innocent Hausa in Benin, And i know there are many such scenarios of killing Northerners secretly down south without publishing the aftermath on social media or newspaper you people will just keep mute, and sees nothing wrong in it but when the reverse is the case you guys will be shouting massacre.

Northerners dont usually cry victims when your people killed them but they will take it as every soul must return to here after and we are not here to stay.

I am not an advocate of killing innocent souls and i always stood by southerners specifically igbos sometimes i give them shield by protecting them. But the problem is they are just ungrateful, they will still come back and insult North.
Someone is sharing his personal experience and you are telling him that he is exaggerating as if you experienced same thing with him or you were there to witness his experience.

He just painted it the way it has always been with the Core North.
You guys are the worst set of ungrateful people I have seen and lived with in all my over 30years of life. I have lived in the North for 25years stretch and k witnessed all the crisis that engulfed Kaduna, Jos and Bauchi.
