seunmsg: That dude is done. Theatrics didn’t save him at the end of the day. His lawyers should start looking for grounds of appeal.
Now that he has been legally convicted, south east leaders can start pushing for clemency on his behalf from Mr. President. I still believe a political solution can be negotiated to end this matter. Have you ever heard in your life clemency granted to an un-remorseful and unrepentant convict. Never. |

Immatex: Very obvious that poor state of track infrastructure was the cause of this avoidable accident.
The running rails has very little ballast to hold the sleepers.
The Cess is heavily eroded and there are no embankments to protect the tracks from landslides and earth movements.
Train was also not travelling at the appropriate speed for the track conditions.
Total absence of signalling on this tracks.
Gosh, I work as a competent train conductor in England and what I see here is abhorrent and repulsive. We build in Nigeria for an opportunity to loot not for the love of country or citizens otherwise why do we always refuse to factor in safety in our building and operational activities? You’re calling this “very little ballast” You’re 100% a pseudo expert and knows nothing about railways. Pls stop imposting “Competent operator” una Show anywhere in this world and the standards where this will be considered insufficient ballast mtswww

Car Talk › Re: What Will You Do If You Were In My Position? by servercodes001: 6:29pm On May 13, 2025 |
HelenaWills: While it was being driven to my place. Overheating happened and it damaged the four coils. There right there, I spent above 250k fixing radiator, automated dashboard, four coils, plugs, oil gauge stick, mobil oil, gasket and some stupid things.
They fixed it, and it worked for a few minutes till it broke down again and I had to change filter and fuel pump with some minor things because car won't move. After a while... it moved again then stopped. This time it was the kick but before they figured it out. I learnt the roadside Kazeem had almost pieced the car in search of a fault that wasn't there.
While we were on this, I decided to replace the steering pump and rack because the steering had become stiff and so difficult to turn. This cost some fortunes.
Mind you, like play like play, this car had spent about 3 months at different locations. I got tired at this point and decided to leave it under bridge in Ojuelegba where I was asked to pay #400 per day but begged for #200. It was there from December till last month.
I was told it overheated again while moving from God knows where to Ojuelegba and I needed to replace the coils all again. Let's no forget there were different electrical issues that I can't even list out because I don't even know what to call them. But now, the gear is making one annoying and disturbing sound and they are asking for an arm and heart to fix it. It will be one year by next month and car hasn't made it to my house. It can't even go beyond 25Km/h nor can it climb hills. Very frustrating. As a person without much experience about used cars always have like 3mechanics inspect a used car. 2m for 2008 civic is already fishy, you better swap the engine since yours is still working to some extent. Still, those mechanics are not your friends, they’re cheating you |

PlasmaTV: You made some salient points which I'll address. And you are polite, so we will discuss. Let me reply some mentions first.
I don land.
First of all, your claim about special centres being the cause for the high pass rate is WRONG and utterly disrespectful to students who study hard for their WAEC. These same students write SATs and other international exams, and they ace it. So focus on the quality of education, not on the so called toughness of the exams.
Insecurity was a challenge for Jonathan, but at least, he was ON GROUND to visit the affected areas, and to offer tactical support. Tinubu was abroad when his country was on fire. Scores were literally k!lled in Venue, Plateau, Borno, Jos, and other states too many to mention. Where was our president? Remote working in wherever he is. Does that seem responsible to you??
For your defense on inflation - it is disrespectful to hardworking Nigerians to claim that they were living a fake life before. Ahhahn! These people work like dogs, but eat like ants. For example, 10 years ago, one who earns well could get a tokunbo car without much. Now, even people who earn 500k would find it difficult to purchase a 2015 Toyota Camry because of dollar rate, customs rate, and inflation. Is that fake life? Besides, statistically, less than 5% of Nigerians earn above 200k monthly. Convert that to dollars and weep.
For subsidy removal - does it sound right for a president to hastily declare "subsidy is gone" without proper planning?
I drove to get fuel the night before subsidy ended. Got 10k fuel for my generator. The next morning, there was literally petrol scarcity because a president couldn't be wise enough to systematically reduce and eventually remove subsidy. Next was the oniranu CNG campaign where we were asked to convert petrol cars to gas cars, and be disasters on wheels waiting to happen.
Yes, more needs to be done by everybody, but the burden lies more on the government. It's the govt that budgeted over 20b to renovate VP residence. Bought a new jet. Bought cars for the presidency. Budgetd 10b for solar in Aso while the country is in poverty. It's the government, not the people. It's the government.
For your comment on ethics - the burden lies first, and more, with the government. I'll look for an article detailing wanted citizens whose shady past got erased when they joined the APC. Top politicians.
The government has more to do, and they are grossly underperforming. It is more dangerous and destabilizing to be “systematically reducing and eventually removing subsidies” it creates persistent price instabilities and inflation expectations that are very difficult to control. |

PlasmaTV: Tinubu did massively well in Lagos? How please? Show me.
He removed subsidy. Where's the proceeds of the subsidy removal? Where was it channeled to? Why are the lives of Nigerians more difficult since he entered into power?
If you want to defend a fa!lure, at least, do so with some conscience. When you don’t have money to pay for a house, it means you don’t have the money , wouldn’t it be silly for someone to say “since you didn’t buy that house where is the money” There is NO MONEY for God’s sake. In what world does someone save what they don’t have. |

tunapawizzy: Honest question here, I need genuine answers, no abuses. Why do you want to support Tinubu in 2027? I am asking because I honestly feel things have gotten worse under his leadership, is there something you are seeing that I cannot see. I need some education please. He’s making reforms in our currency, economic and trade policies, that aligns with informed economic reasonings, they’re also tested and trusted. Good heart + Bad ideas = failure Tinubu is not a populist who appeases the people now at the expense of the future. Bad roads, schools hospital, corruption etc are all symptoms of a bad system. The president is working well to fix the system through his policies Remove sentiments or emotions and listen to all his interviews, policy papers and gazettes then you may be informed better. |

Tomorrow some fools from South South will be told that Ndi Igbo are the heart beat of their problem.
I hope the bleating sheep Asari that promised to raise Rag tag Army against ndi Igbo that has always maintained neutrality on Tinubu is enjoying the leadership of his Yoruba He-goat God. I hope he is aware that he and other Militants are the reason for all these shenanigans?
The Yoruba he goat is after the oil flowing to his masters in Europe not the lives of Rivers people. He is willing to sacrifice everything living to make sure Europeans doesn't lack oil or depend on Russia again.
As usual, Ndi Igbo will always stand with our brothers in Rivers at this trying times. We will always support and pray for them anytime any day Rivers is inwerre😁 |

JewelStone: I'm not gonna lie...I miss Nigeria sometimes which makes me flirt with the idea of splitting my time there when my kids are older. I miss my family, my friends and the sense of community.
But then I remember lack of internet and electricity, horrific healthcare system, bad roads, bigotry, lack of value for human life, insecurity, police brutality, immense corruption, tribalism, crumbling or non-existent economy and a million other horrible things. This quickly resets my mind.
My solution which I'm currently working on is to bring my sisters and my best friend over to live in Sydney with me and make good living for themselves. Then I won't have any business with Nigeria anymore except to visit my parents every two years.
So to answer your question: no, nein, never!!! A question for you please, if you had lots of money and you're not working for anyone in Sydney, like money is not an issue for you, would you stay there or would you come back to Nigeria.? |

magicminister: Lmaoooo!!!
Bro, if it’s 100 million dollars I could agree but 100 million Naira??
Haba naaaah!!!!
Make I show you maths behind it:
1 million views on YouTube is worth approximately 5-8k usd.
Davido’s fall has 138M views but let’s approximate it to 100 million views on YouTube.
100 million is 1million in 100 places. If 1 million views is Appx 5000-8000 dollars then the minimum Davido earned on “fall” from YouTube streaming alone is 5000 * 100 = 500,000 usd
1 dollar = 350 Naira
500,000usd *350 = 175 million Naira.
Davido made a minimum of 175 million Naira from “fall” just by YOUTUBE streaming alone!
Wizkid is a multi-billionaire in Naira cos I know for a fact, he made about 5 million dollars in endorsements and shows alone in 2018 which is about 1.7 billion in Naira.
——————————————-
A lot of people have disagreed with me and some stupid children have insulted me so I’ll post the numbers so everyone can see.... these numbers are outdated and Davido has about 600m views as of today so the income is way higher than listed. Dude no advertiser will pay $5k for Nigerian traffic. It is at most 500usd. Please don't argue just go and check out the ppv rates for each country. There are lots of things when it comes to ad revenue. Ppv, ppc, cpi, etc and also if the viewer skips the video immediately you'll be paid less and less |
