It means spreading your stock purchases over a long period of time and buying shares that cost a certain amount in naira each time. The spreading out of the purchases greatly reduces the risk of loss due to buying at a time when the shares are relatively expensive. But it also greatly reduces the possibility of making more money by buying at a time when the shares are relatively cheap.

Since the amount invested is constant, this means you will tend to buy more shares when they are cheap than when they are expensive. That makes it arguably superior to the similar strategy of buying X shares at regular intervals over a period of time.

If you guess that a stock is going to go up, there's a 50% chance that you'll be right. Even a broken clock is right twice a day. It means nothing.

Even Warren Buffett cannot say that he is sure that a stock will go up by 30% in a certain time frame. All he can say is that he believes a stock is undervalued and that over the long run it is quite likely that other investors will realize the value of the stock, and therefore the stock price will probably go up. And even if they don't, the company will be in a position to pay sufficient dividends to earn him a positive return on his investment, or to buy back its undervalued shares so that the remaining shares will command a much higher price.

You can recommend a stock and explain exactly why you think it's under-priced, but you can't predict the future price. No one knows the future.

Those are irrelevant questions. They were given free land because we thought they had much to offer us. Now we know better. That's all.

We already know that our government is "in shambles". That is not news. What is news is that these guys have nothing to offer us that we don't already have. We don't need their expertise in whining and complaining about the government. We already have that in vast quantities.

What's stupid about it? The government never gave me any free land, and I am a Nigerian, so why should they get that plus much more?

They are used to being supported by the government and they cannot survive without being coddled by the government. So let them get the hell out of here. We already have farmers who can't thrive without government coddling; we don't need to import such from Zimbabwe.
