Good day, I had an account with bolt two years ago that was blocked. Right now the account can not be found on the system. I have been trying to open another one for the past two weeks but no luck despite passing all necessary courses. It just keeps saying I should go for driver training and activation. Will going to the office help? Or is there another way?

Having read through comments,
Let me put a few of my thoughts.
The first thing a lecturer taught me that i will never forget is
The aim of a business is to generate customers.
Profit is secondary or will come if the first is a achieved.
Secondly, if these customers have complain while doing your business, listen and understand and solve.
on the short run, u might ignore and get away with it, but on the long run, you will loose eventually because nothing is static and change is constant.
You will fade eventually and those customers will still be there... meaning they are doing something else.

If u want your business to last, you must take your level of business from transaction level to relationship level.

I don't believe that someone working/driving 11 hours a day will call that job a side hustle.
The original promoters of any business will not view their biz as a side hustle.
There is always a market share.
Sometimes a biz might think bcoz of no competitive substitute, they can do what they like,
You are just bidding your time.
Innovation can totally remove the entire biz space for a particular sector.

So many examples abound.

Therefore I implore the drive sharing companies to listening bcoz complain is a waiting solution in disguise.

I use NorthWest coolant for my car its been 6months down the line no issue it's very affordable I think 1k/ltr or 800 can't remember again, been a while a bought it I posted pictures here b4.

For the oil I'd advised you use any genuine synthetic oil with original filter or change the filter twice @ 5000miles interval.

Make sure the oil viscosity is 10W40 its better for Nigeria weather.

If you notice any drop in oil after 1000 or 2000 miles don't panic just check your engine cover.

In addition, a first hand user told me ford don't like anything tracker. Don't install anything artificial on the car just leave it like that and maintain ur car properly

The likes of Romeo, Ogunvic, Ifeanyi Mark and I and so on were the first set of drivers to sign up with BOLT in 2015 when they were still in 2 bed room office at Admiralty beside Forte oil Lekki phase 1.

That's like 7 years back. Then Uche, Femi and Nonso the founders of BOLT use to beg us on their knees to register with Bolt. They were ones training drivers. No employees like u guys back then, just 3 of them running the whole thing. Now dem don get money bought a very big office at SALEM. Employ staffs like u and Spread across to other states in N geria

Bro we made Bolt what it is today. I smiled when u said I am newbie. "Ki lo omode Mo" pathetic assumption . Nah our sweat Bolt take grow into Big brand yet no good compensation to drivers. Drivers are working like elephant and earning like ants. They only make good money during festive periods.

Bolt fares used to be much higher then and 15% commission was there share. 50k was weekly rentals drivers pay to car owners. Drivers can make 100k in 2 days during winter period. Now they reduced their fares, introduced cash discount and increase commission to 25%. Is that a growth or decline for Drivers? That's absolutel punishment and sufferness.

Let me correct you on this, we all moved to Bolt because Uber reduced their fares by 40% in 2017 April 17th, there was a massive protest at National stadium, But Uber remained adamant that they would make their fare as cheap as small chops. Drivers angrily left their platform, Now they are shadow of themselves. Bolt took advantage of this situation and launch their brand into prominence. And Bolt fare was far better than Uber as at that time.

As per you preferring Lyft coming to Nigeria to compete with Bolt, I dont think they will succeed. I don't see them adjusting their policies to suit Nigerian market. Nigerian business environment too harsh for foreign multi national to thrive. Uber is an example, the reason why they lost so many drivers today is because of their useless American policies in an African market where alot factors works against businesses. It's only the Chinese that can compete with Bolt, these guys understand any business environment they find themselves. Dudi is already giving Bolt a run for their money in S.A. Alot of drivers are leaving Bolt platform over there.

Abeg tell your Oga "Uche" that boys are not smilling. We are not happy with the fares. There is hyper inflation in country at moment. Things don cost. But fares are not increasing, still remains the same. How will drivers survive. Alot of them are living hand to mouth. No financial progress year in year out dem dey where dem dey.

See the truth be told, any white collar jobber in Lagos earning less than 300k. Monthly is sufferung. A man earning 150k in IB, Edo State or Delta state is 10x richer than you.

If I had 15m the last thing to cross my mind will be to leave this country.

Firstly you could build from scratch to finish a 10* standard room and palour self contain property with 12 to 15m.

When fully occupied Will give you at the very least 840k to 1.1m per annum.
With the way prices of commodities are skyrocketing you're sure to have an increase in rentals in a few years.

You'll have recouped all your capital in let say 10 years and still have your structure.

Now you still have about 5 to 7m. Get a decent car and register on bolt this should be around 2.5m, you can probably set a target of 50k weekly while you look out for other opportunities which will surely arise.

Maybe Uber might’ve changed oh but I’m writing this with first hand knowledge that Uber system rotate rides.

You can try it by using someone close to you oh collect his/her phone install Uber rider app and request yourself you’ve got 90% chance at first trial that the request will come to you but second trial is 40% chance unless you’re the only driver in that community.

Uber systems works perfectly just that they haven’t started showing rider destination is just some cons about them

It’s not right to type this trick(s) here but it’ll help upcoming newbies…..

Find someone close to you using smart phone download bolt app on their phone be it your wife/sister/friends stay within areas where there’s no surge so that your commissions won’t be much, request yourself using their phone to 2-3 streets away.

Arrive start trip rate yourself. Do this for 5-6 trips 2 Sims can do this. Gbam! Your rating jump up once you start your trip with real riders.

Since bolt are mad you have to be smart too but don’t do this with Uber oh

The uber policy of drivers not seeing where riders are going before pickup is a worldwide thing. It's like that in America as well. A backward policy.

Every other thing you said makes a lot of sense, I totally agree with you. Lack of destination trips is annoying and brutally wicked. Last time I drove on Uber two months ago, did more than
50km empty from Magodo to Ajah. I was getting requests further out when I needed to go home. Would have waited for a destination trip if that shite was working.

This is why Uber has never made a single profit since it's inception. They shoot themselves in the foot with stupid policies that are counter productive thinking they are smart.

You are quite right, everything in Lekki is somehow over-priced if you keep going to most places in Lekki designed for the rich in Lekki.
Even the Freaky freakys are not left out, I carry one earlier this year after lap dances in Askamaya Lekki, she floow me enter house (first mistake), see everywhere nice, she went to the rest room and came to the bed, my blood was already hot so i told her baby, see bed make we start o as it was already 1am, she said make we talk first, i was concerned so i listened attentively.

To cut the long story short she said i will give her 30k by morning which will be around 6am as their normal departure time, my N10k bargain fell on deaf ears so i told her well, i will not entertain blackmail (in my mind), She said N30k or no deal, i said ok now thanks for coming, she say make i give am cab money, i gave her N1k she refused o, i quietly told her to come outside with me to go find more money, once i dey outside i made it clear na N1k dey for cab, she flung the N1k at my face and left angrily. The next day i drove down to Ajah and picked up a fresh Freaky freaky for N7k, total damage N10k max. Total saving N20k.

So island can be quite pricey.

Same experience I have with FbnQuest but I’m giving them time though.

Investment one is even worse as they have neither paid the quarterly interest nor added any new interest since this month. Everything is just stagnant. No interest paid, re-invested or accrued.

ARM is up to date. Re-invested the interest on the evening of April 1 and new accrued interest already reading.

I’m just watching them closely.
Let’s say the Pandemic and lockdown is affecting their services. Hopefully, normalcy will return soon.

Again just because you have insurance does not give you the authority to be reckless, I have health insurance does that mean I need to carelessly smoke ,drink etc and do things to put my health at high risk...
