Those they are coming to pick up are Nigerians, mind you i said Nigerians and not Nigerian-Americans, they are coming to pick Nigerians who are in the US on very short stays and who would be heavily impacted by the lockdown and shut down of the airspace. some are only prepared to pay for hotel accommodation for one week, and if they stay beyond 3 weeks in the hotel, they would be very short on cash and would be thrown to the streets. so those are the people they are coming to pick up.

people should stop deluding themselves that Nigerian-Americans or illegal migrant Nigerians want to come back to Nigeria, to come back to Nigeria and do what ?

I pity most of you who think naija is better because of unreported and low COVID-19 related deaths. It might interest you to know that African-Americans represents more than 75% of total number of deaths in the US. This means the whites continue to do things appropriately. The US has done the largest numbers of test in the world and they are very transparent in reporting data. But in Naija, you need connection to do ordinary covid-19 test even when you present symptoms. So far in Nigeria, less than 14k tests have been conducted with 40 deaths and 1325 positive cases. do your statistics properly and estimate, given the current state what the number of deaths would be in Nigeria if positive cases are 835k.

Even if Air peace is doing a free evacuation, i can assure you that Nigerians here in the US are not interested. Those signifying interest are those who are in the US on very short visits like two weeks conference and would run into financial crises if they stay beyond that period. Even in the midst of the surging number of positive cases in the US, the US still evacuated hundreds of Nigerian-Americans to the US, this is to show you that they'll rather be in the US than Nigeria. Get out of your dream guys and stop thinking anybody wants to come back to naija.

Thanks guys, my passport was stamped at the POE in Toronto, Ontario. But the questioning at the POE na die. i had indicated that i'll be visiting Quebec while filling my application, but changed my mind to be in Toronto after the visa had been approved. i had a compelling argument which couldn't be negotiated.

Its not even about thinking. He's been scammed by the agent. Except he's got a dual citizenship one of which must be from countries eligible for the ETA. If he is just a Nigerian by citizenship then he has been scammed and should try not to go near the airport or Canadian embassy coz he risks arrest.

Are you a student in a Nigerian university or a University in Europe ? is it a University sponsored conference ? if no, you need to have a sponsor for the conference who would be willing to let you use his funded statement of account. Basically, you need to upload a letter from your school granting you permission to attend the conference, proof of studentship etc. Although, it would be difficult to convince the VO that you have strong ties to home country because you are not employed, not married, and no travel history. Detailed document requirements has been posted in this thread, just go through it diligently. Good luck to you in your application.

Use Money gram and choose the bank account deposit option. The Individual will receive it directly deposited into their bank account. But to do these, you need to know the routing number and bank account number of the recipient.

It is really dicey. Your permanent residency application is a give away that you are a potential migrant, and that you want to use the visiting visa to accomplish your aim of forcefully relocating to Canada regardless of the opinion of the VO. This would be interpreted as an almost touchable desperation. This increases the burden of proof of ties to your home country, and it increases it above average. You dont want to find yourself in this type of situation. Well, you might risk it sha, who knows , you may be lucky. But if i were to be you, i wouldn't even bother.

I sincerely believe that the travel history carries more weight. A bogus statement of account wont help, keep it moderate, i only have N300K in my statement of account, this appears more believable than submitting a statement of account with $30,000. Try to be detailed in filling your form. You are right, but at times its not always true. I've been to the US countless number of times and return before my Visa expires. I never over stayed my visa. Your lover can be that individual who goes there and does what he plans to do and depart the US as indicated on his Visa. my 10 cents is that if you are waiting for any guy to consummate a trans-Atlantic love, it must be that dope guy who loves you like kilode, such guys would surely come back for you and wont do things that would truncate their chances of bringing their family along to the US.
