What ties does this brother of yours have to Nigeria? Any travel history too? You seem to be mostly/mainly counting on your previous visa and its usage as the capital/leverage to getting him the visa, very wrong. He has to qualify on his own first to a large extent, that is most important. Your usage is your own advantage and can only minutely contribute to his advantage if other variables (ties) of his are good.... Don't forget the hurdles are always higher in most cases once the host is an immediate relative!

Thanks a lot for educating on this. Yes he's got a lot of ties here(kid&works in a gud coy). He also has a good travel history.
Hope we get it eventually as we truly don't have any intention of staying back.

How old is your younger brother? If he is above 18, I think you should renew yours through dropbox, maybe he can attend the interview with a copy of your visa

He's over 18. We've already scheduled for the Interview together as family(siblings) goin on a vacation. Do u think this is gonna be an issue as we're both over 18.

Normally, i should do a drop box visa renewal but I decided to go for the Interview again & schedule the appointment with my brother as we both intend to visit our sister this summer.
Pls I'll like to know if I can book an appointment with my younger brother since we're travelling together as a family.
Is this a good decision as I feel the good usage of my previous visa(used it twice & both usage was less than 3weeks) can convince the consular we dont intend to stay back and can give him a stand to get the visa as well.
Kindly advice.

They will tell him they cant fix it i had same issue once ago but u can try, they always believe maybe he wants to sell the date for a new name or something

Pls explain how you sorted yours out.
The mistake is on the appointment form which had my name rearranged I.e my surname had my first name filled on it and omitted my surname.
All other forms including DS-160 were correctly filled.
Kindly share your experience.

I don't think it's an issue. As long as all the names are the same. Your Visa will bear the name arrangement as it appears on your datapage.
