RomanceRe: What A Guy Did To Me At Iwo Road Ibadan, A Bitter Experience. by seyiki: 10:48am On Jan 28, 2022
Your SIM might be the target for some dirty deals he might want to do. I suggest you do the needful by blocking the SIM and probably have a police report against some unforseen evil days.

On your part, as some people have noted, you were very desperate. You could have even gone to his place in Osun if not for security reasons. Just know that not all that glitter is gold.

There were lot of red flags you could have easily noted if you were watchful but you allowed your emotion to cloud your inner warnings
maxwelltony:
Good morning Nairalanders

There is this particular guy that I met on Facebook about two month ago in Facebook, we have been talking and he calls me almost everytime, he has tried to invite me to his house in osun state on different occasions but due to security issue I had to decline his invitation..

We planned to meet on Wednesday and he told me he was coming from osun state, so I told him to drop at Mr Biggs in Iwo Road Ibadan..

I stay at challenge so I had to #200 cab from there down to Iwo road, I was having about #1300 with me before leaving the house, I was already waiting for him for about 40minute before he showed up, he told me his car has fault and that he had to call his mechanic to fix the car for him, we sat down and talked.

During our discussion, he told me to please give him 1k to get something to drink, that he had forgotten his wallet in the car and his phone is off to make a transfer, I gave him and he ordered for soft drinks and meat pie..

Along the line, he told me he needed to make a call and requested for my phone so that he can direct the mechanic bringing down his car, I heard him calling and was directing the man down to Iwo road, all of a sudden he just went outside and before I could know it this guy has dissapeared with my phone and was just looking at him from afar..

I couldn't shout as I was just looking like a fool because I don't know what's happening, I waited for about 1hr thinking he has gone to pick the mechanic, I tried calling my number but was switched off, he has gone with my phone and I don't know his number off hand.
I had use the #100 left with me to buy recharge card and was left with nothing..
It was a bitter experience for me as I had to trek all the way from Iwo road to Olorunsogo, When I couldn't continue with trekking I had to approach a lady to please help me out
with #100 after explaining my situation to her and she gave me #500 and wished me well.

I thank God it was not more than this, he only went away with my phone, what if he had used me for ritual?

Please ladies be careful about the kind of guy you hang out with, always take your time to know the person you are moving out with..

I had learnt my lesson, and have handed him over to God .

Thanks sir for the information.

Pls sir could you suggest some courses that go in tandem with the production and maintenance experience?
makano:
Hello Seyi

If you really wanna go for a course related to your HND instead of your work experience, you have to really convince the Visa Officer on the reason why you wanna go for that course. Let the Visa Officer know how the course will be beneficial to you in your home country...

Loving a course is not enough reason to convince the Visa Officer, in fact, its not a reason.. Let the Visa Officer see the benefits and opportunities the course will provide you on your return to your home country..

Peace

Dear Makano,

Thanks so much for your quick response.

1.I got my HND this year 2021

2. My job description was around production team lead and thereafter I moved into maintenance section as a maintenance leader

3. As for the reason I went for HND electrical, I really love electrical engineering and have a great flair for the associated courses from outset but couldn't practice in the company then because of company protocol and some stuff

I hope this suffice for now sir, but wouldn't hesitate to send you my detailed CV if it is so needed.

makano:
Hello Seyi

How long have you gotten your HND?

Also, you didn't state your Job description in the manufacturing Company..

Why was the reason you went for an HND in a course different from your work experience?

Your answers will guide me on how to advise you..

But Ideally, we advise applicants that have gotten their 1st degree for more than 5 years to choose a course related to their work experience.

In your case, you have more than 10 yeas work experience, so choosing a course in that direction will make more sense...

But if you will have a very genuine reason for going with a course related to your HND, then u can go ahead..

Peace

Good day my elders,

Please I need advice on choice of course and programme based on my background

1. I had OND in electrical/electronics engineering at upper credit level

2. Thereafter , I had 10 years plus work experience in a manufacturing company but not in electrical field

3. Later went back for HND( finished with Distinction) and start a personal business in transportation

My question:: I need advice or suggestion on fitting programme and course to enrol in to have a seamless flow in explaining career path when applying for SP

Thanks sirs and mas

@frankrobben1,@justmellow and other gurus.
Please I urgently need your advice. A message just dropped regarding the commencement of my wife's eligibility review. She was supposed to have started her class since January 5 and the admission has been deferred with a new admission letter sent to her which she has not submitted. What is the best step to take now

Hello richG,

Kindly help confirm from your sister what type of application she filled. If it was visit or study permit for the kid. I want to do likewise. Thank you
richG:
Good evening.
Please what are the documents to send for a minor's PPR?
Does anyone have an idea?

My sister's child got a PPR and we are not too sure about what to attach since there was no biometrics.

How will the child's consent be filled and signed too?

Hello @Bbio,

Based on my knowledge I don't believe this is true. The claim might be because of the personal messages being sent to people who might be eligible for Nigeria Student Express(NSE) where they are told that their applications would be put on hold until they produce some documents within a stipulated timeline. Other than that , I believe all other normal processing are still ongoing.
However, there are other great minds and gurus in here who might have superior points and correct me if I have erred.
I therefore submit.
Bbio:
Blessed day to you all, please I'm trying to confirm the information given to my brother by an agent that, all process on students visa are currently on hold,he currently has an admission letter from Cape Breton college, paid all the fee to the agent, and is it true Canadian visa office in Lagos is currently closed?pls help me with any info necessary.

@Justmellow, @Frankrobbn1
Thank you so much for your selfless service and your great answers.
Please I need further advice:
1.Based on the note sent to me, any further action on my application would be put on hold till 17th of December which is almost one month time after which it will be assumed I want normal processing. Considering the fact that I am supposed to resume in Jan 2021,:
1. Should I request for a deferment from my school till September 2021 so as not to jeopardize my approval chance because of the high proximity of resumption time or is there anything else I can do?
2.If number 1 above is the right route,( i.e deferment) how do I communicate my intention to the visa office?
JustMellow:
Hello Seyiki,

You should talk to your mom to enquire from her bank for further direction. However, its not a compulsory factor that you must opt the NSE processing.

The NSE would be best for prospective applicants who would have the time to prep for the IELTS and/or building their funds to the stipulated eligibility amount, and not for those that already have their application processing ongoing. 75k is a whole sum that can be well-invested.

All the best

Hello the gurus- @frankrobin , @Justwise @justmellow and all other gurus, pls kindly help with my question. Advice needed on my wife's application.

1. She has admission for January 2021

2. She just gave birth

3. Our initial plan was for only her to apply before while the other family members join her later but with the recent delivery (just a month ago) , we felt if only her should apply it might want to raise the question of who will take care of the new babies

My question is hope it won't reduce our chances of visa approval if all the families should apply together considering the fact of home ties?
What is the beet approach to this situation ?

Have you gone to TRA's website to read the guidelines for assessment?
Yes bros I have done that ....but am not cleared if my years of experience could substitute for my electrical qualification instead of mechanical since mechanical engineering is the relevant qualification to fitter general

Good day house. I need guidance on how to go about my case. I have OND in electrical/electronics engineering in 2006, but I have 11 years plus work experience in a manufacturing company where my job roles have been tailored to the requirements by the general fitter skill (mechanical skill). Will this be acceptable by the TRA or what do you think I can do? Thanks in advance.
