NLC and TUC leadership are now steps to political upgrade. Nigerians need to stand up and fight for their selves including the workers. May God bless Nigeria

GreatKingg:
This is like a two-edged sword. It's either we continue to subsidize fuel and watch the nation crippled to its knee or we remove subsidy and increase the hardship on the citizens. Truth be told, Nigeria can't afford to keep subsidizing fuel at this point in time. The fuel subsidy arrangement reeks of corruption. Nigeria is broke, that is the truth. The government should have made provisions in the budget for palliatives to help cushion the effects of the subsidy removal. The blame is not on this current administration, but rather on the last administration that prepared and signed the budget for the year. There was no way this administration could have continued to subsidize fuel when there is no provision for it in the budget. Or would you all rather we borrow more money to keep subsidizing fuel? That makes no economic sense. It's either we keep subsidy and not have money to pay civil servants and carry out capital projects, or we remove subsidy and save enough money to put into other sector of the economy. I get it, there is going to be hardship in the near-term, but I think most will agree that we will definitely come to enjoy it in the long run.

Also, I see people talking about raising the minimum wage. In all honesty, #30,000 is too meagre to meet the current reality on ground, but the numbers being proposed and flying around won't work either. Raising minimum wage above #100,000 is only going to increase the suffering for the citizens. Inflation is currently over 20%. What do you think will happen to inflation if minimum wage is raised astronomically? Economics students should understand better.

The bottom line here is that we all need to accept reality as it is today. Subsidy is gone for good, and the government should as a matter of urgency provide palliatives for its citizen for the short term. Wages and salaries should be reviewed to meet with the current situation.
Well you have point, but the government who have the people in mind will push the palliative forward before announcing the removal of the subsidy. Did you do naming without giving birth first

Follow ur heart my brother, but if am to go by ur words, Benita is better and younger, and she also care about you and also loves you, cos before a lady goes to ur kitchen to clean it up. They truly have great feeling and it's easier to control them at a tender age, cos they still love genuinely. Just proposed to her first, then pay her a surprise visit in a school. God will guide you better.

This is a lesson to every man out there. Never force a woman to love you, never get married out of pity, make sure the woman you decided to get married to accepted you without any conditions. May God help the man and raised him up again
