I have a Bsc In Accounting. How do I get started with Australian student visa
Accounting is the devils den for PR in Australia. If your plan is to study and go back, then no issue. But if you are thinking of applying for PR after studying, my dear you are in for a long thing. We are talking about minimum of 95 points to secure an invite.

I'm going to tell y'all the most important thing about studying in Australia. It is really expensive to come here and study one stupid course that won't lead to anything!
Most people didn't really do sufficient research before selecting courses and ended up wasting their precious time and money.

Kindly do yourself a favour and Study a course that you're really passionate about and that also guarantees your future here. If you study a valuable course which you're passionate about, getting PR would just be a natural consequence.

Also, they're just reviewing and changing migration policies everyday like boxers, so please do your research to make your journey less depressing.

Thinking you can just marry one oyinbo for paper? Haha.. I'm sorry, na those over 100kilo single mum dey desperate and they'd make your life hell to the extent where you'd consider going back on student visa before the 2years complete. The kind of old women wey wey African guys dey nack for papers is just unbelieveable! And some don't even get it after investing time and "money" abi she no go chop?

Enough story, if you already have appropriate qualifications and work experience it'd be way better to just try your luck with 189/190. When I see qualified engineer with experience still hunting student visa, I can't but cry!

BTW, Social work, IT, Nursing, Engineering and a lot more premium courses would save you from those mental stress. Just know what you're passionate about and go for it.

God bless everyone
Well said. Get on that PC and do some research.

1. Your sponsor living in Australia and whole family joining them is a no no for Gte

2. Brother in-law ain't convincing enough. Case officer might think, why can't brother in-law sponsor his own brother?

It depends, cos we the CSOL includes the SOL.

Basically, If you are going for a 189, the occupation has to be on the SOL, alongside yours.

If you are going for a 190, it has to be on the CSOL

What I'm not sure about is if it has to be available on the same state list as the one sponsoring your 190. But as for the above details, they are very correct.
Thanks bossladymo1☺

Whatever you do, ensure her occupation is on the same list as yours. Really crucial.
I guess what you are saying is that...if am on SOL and my supposed spouse happens to fall on CSOL, it wouldn't work right?

Just ensure you pick the most suitable because for me that is a major concern. It took me hell time to decide on my best skill option. You know here we don't ve specialtysad
lastly once you are set for ACS ensure all your papers
are duly certified To avoid delay of ur assessment.
Ok thanks

Hello Shabaranks

You right! I was match with the first one. read the below for easier understanding how it works :

If your degree is assessed as having an ICT major which is closely related to your nominated occupation, you will require 2 years relevant work experience completed within the past 10 years or 4 years relevant work experience completed anytime in your past work history (whichever provides the earliest skill date) to meet the suitability criteria.

If your degree is assessed as having an ICT major which is NOT closely related to your nominated occupation, you will require 4 years relevant work experience completed anytime in your past work history to meet the suitability criteria.

So the deal for you is : Which skill occupation is ur best match and what is ur degree course ? If these 2 matches U are game with 2yrs exp removed and if not you are game with 4yrs removed to meet the the suitability criteria.
Thanks again. Well, I can nominate Software engineer, Analyst programmer or Developer programmer as these occupations closely match my course units. Also, have got 5 years of experience to match with any of the above.

Payslip is not required. ACS don't want anything than its requirements:
Intl Passport or birth certificate
EducationAL qualifications e.g certificate and transcript only.
post university employment reference/s

Note there are exceptions if you are not ICT majors.
Thanks for your reply. Again, there are 2 ICT units;
1. Closely related ICT units
2. Additional closely related ICT units

i suppose the first one is the one they match with your courses right? If you have better insight, kindly let me know. Thanks

This truly is the day that the Lord has made!

Looking at my kids, and knowing that they are going to enjoy a farrr better quality of life. Their integrity won't be questioned because of their nationality, and their dreams and aspiration won't be cut short/delayed because of their nationality. The future looks brighter than it has ever looked.

Never under-estimate the power of positive confession. Right from my teens, a week never went by without me saying I wish I could get married and move to Australia...I wish to have a boy and a girl, but I want the boy to be first.

Well...need I say I got exactly what I wanted.I got my grant today! The right to live, work and study in Australia...wow! Townsville, here I come!

Note: No Form 80 requested. Prolly cos of my profile (female with kids), or because I have no international travel.
Congrats bossladyMo...Welcome to Australia in advance☺

Its postgraduate.I was adviced to go for schools that don't require ielts university of carberra have my course but they need three years experience.while Deakin my program is one year.I wanted a 2yrs program on communication, international relation etc.one of my lecturers wrote two letters/statements for both schools I applied for.will have to wait before I apply for another ielts exam
You can check other schools. For IELTS to be waived, u need to get a letter from your school registrar stating ur studies were undertaken in English. Some schools ask for this while others automatically waive it. Just do some research and u will find a suitable school.

Yes although one of schools said 6.5 or equivalent.I would have done better if my center was settled.
Are u for postgrad or undergrad? If postgrad, I would advice u check other schools that do not require IELTS if ur previous studies were undertaken in English.

My father is sick so he's not working at the moment,,, I just got my eCOE dis morning... Plz ur answer will be most appreciated..@surveyor1. bossladyMo, chookudi ,
Well according to immi website, under AL3, ur uncle can only sponsor u if he's an Australian citizen or PR holder. Buh I believe if u can show evidence that he has been the one sponsoring u, then maybe, just maybe u might be lucky.

aduktus: Please house, can i pay my OSHIC to d school using gtb master card? Somebody said i needed to have a gtb online code to be able to do this. Any better means of paying money to oz schools pls? Thanx.
U need to activate ur online banking to be able to make online transactions using a Gtb Mastercard. However, u culd walk into any Gtb bank and make a telegraphic transfer or preferably if u have a Dom account. Most schools ve a method of payment and most times ur OSHC is added to ur acceptance fee.
