Total no of pvc collected in NW/NE-26,952,981
Total no of pvc collected in SS/SE-19,694,368. These are the numbers from strongholds of they two top contenders. Now I'm must say that if Atiku will win this election he must do well in NW and NE. It will be a battle Royale in the NC and SW. Atiku needs to close up buhari numbers in those regions by at least 50parcent to have any chance. If buhari does very well in those regions then it is game over!
Atiku will win SS/SE 90% and can comfortable get 30% in NE/NW. cheesy

Buhari should be really worried.

NNPC by law manages the joint venture between the Nigerian federal government and a number of foreign multinational corporations, which include Royal Dutch Shell, Agip, ExxonMobil, Total S.A, Chevron, and Texaco (now merged with Chevron).

PoliticsCBN Governor Emefiele Urges Buhari To Sell NNPC by shachris05(op): 1:52pm On Feb 21, 2019
“If you sell down a 30 per cent stake you could raise something substantial. It is an option they need to consider as a way of raising further funding,” he told the Financial Times.

“It is an option now because our revenues have dropped and we don’t need to pile on more debt. The alternative is to look for ways of releasing value from some of the government’s assets.”

Emefiele has asked CBN officials to evaluate how much could be raised if the state-owned Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) substantially reduced its 55 per cent equity in its numerous joint ventures, adding that petroleum profit taxes could be adjusted upwards to compensate for the state’s reduced stake in crude oil sales.

He said he had commissioned the research and would present the idea to President-elect Muhammadu Buhari when he assumes office on May 29 as he believes that $75 billion is a realistic target, and that private equity groups could be encouraged to compete with the oil companies for acquisitions to ensure the price is competitive.

Emefiele said a greater portion should be invested in transport and energy developments that would grow the economy, create jobs and could be used to rebuild macroeconomic buffers damaged by the collapse in world oil prices.

For years, Nigeria’s oil production has been stagnating at around 2 million barrels a day because of uncertainty around stalled reforms and because of the state’s difficulties in raising its own share of development and maintenance costs.

It is in joint venture agreements with multinationals including Royal Dutch Shell, Chevron, ExxonMobil, Total and ENI which pump about half of Nigeria’s 2 two million barrels a day of oil production.

PoliticsLai Mohammed and APC Condemned Mbu For Speaking Against Ballot Snatching by shachris05(op): 1:56pm On Feb 20, 2019
Here is Lai Mohammed condemning Mbu for saying that Ballot Snatchers would meet their waterloo/death.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has described the AIG in charge of Zone 2 Command, Joseph Mbu, as a lawless and barbaric policeman who should urgently be called to order by his boss before he starts another around of his trade-mark nihilism in his new posting.

In a statement issued in Lagos on Saturday by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party said Mbu’s actions since he was posted to Lagos have neither dignified the police as an institution nor portrayed him as a well-trained law enforcement agent.
It said the temperament, comportment, utterances and actions of Mbu, a very senior police officer, are capable of inciting mass killings, violence and anarchy. ”Since his posting to the Zone 2 Command, this contumacious policeman has exhibited an egregious act of lawlessness by barging through the Lekki Toll Plaza without paying toll and then ordering the arrest of policemen and workers at the Plaza.

Is it not an irony that a man who is trained to enforce the law is the same who is breaking the law? ”But that action, as bad as it was, pales into insignificance when compared to his most recent statement in which he was basically inciting the police against the citizenry and encouraging the killing of civilians. It is sheer irresponsibility for a senior policeman to say that for every policeman who is killed during the election, he will kill 20 civilians. ”Lest we are misunderstood, our party will never condone the killing of police personnel or of any law enforcement agent for whatever reason, just as we will not condone the killing of any innocent Nigerian.

If a senior police officer does not know how to convey to his officers and men that they should protect themselves while also avoiding extra-judicial killing of any citizen, then the funds spent in training him have been wasted,” APC said. The party said such language as ‘fire-for-fire’ , ‘If one of my men is killed, I shall kill twenty of them’ or ‘you have the power to stop the Governor’ is inappropriate, inciting and barbaric, especially under a democratic dispensation, and is most unbecoming of a senior law enforcement agent.

It therefore said Mbu should be held solely responsible for any violence or killing of innocent citizens before, during and after the elections in the area under his command. APC warned Mbu to mind his utterances and actions, shake off all the vestiges of lawlessness and barbarism for which he has become infamous and comport himself like a senior police officer that he is if he wants to succeed in his new assignment, saying ”if he continues in his old, unedifying ways, he will face a public opprobrium as he has never done before”. and Here is Mbu's very comment, very similar to what Buhari said in 2019.

Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Zone 2 Command, Joseph Mbu, said any persons found involved in election violence in Ogun and Lagos States would be made to face the wrath of the law.

Mbu issued the warning after a meeting with Commissioners of Police and their Deputies under his command at Zone 2 headquarters, Onikan, Lagos on Tuesday.

The AIG said the zone was well prepared for the forthcoming general elections, warning thugs and their sponsors against fueling any violence.

He said: “Anybody found with dangerous weapons – firearm, cutlass, axe or anything that can cause injury to a person – will be demobilised and such weapons forcefully recover from them.

“I know that thugs are getting ready and planning to snatch ballot boxes or card readers.

“It is a very serious offence and whoever tries it will meet his waterloo.

“The police will repel whoever attempts to do that.

“Any political thug or group financed for the purpose of election violence should re-think because we are not going to take it lightly with such people.

“We will not spare them and their sponsors.”

Mbu said the zone had enough manpower to prosecute the elections, stressing that they were prepared to protect lives and property before, during and after the exercise.

Mbu explained that the meeting was to look into their preparation with a view to sharing more information on the best way to provide security for Ogun and Lagos States.

He said apart from police, the Department of State Services, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, the Nigeria Immigration Service and the Nigeria Customs Service will also provide security for the states.

Mbu appealed to residents of the zone to go out and vote without any fear of intimidation, stressing that there were enough security men to police all areas.

He warned politicians against inciting their followers against others, stressing that no candidate would be allowed to use siren, arms and guards to polling booths on election days.

He also appealed to traditional rulers and clerics to talk to their subjects to eschew violence, stressing that all the known black spots for election violence had been taken care of.

He said it was the voters’ choice to wait or leave after casting their ballot as long as they maintained peace.

Mbu warned that except those accredited to move around to monitor, no other person or group would be permitted to move anywhere during the elections.

He called on the media to consider national security and peace above other things and to cross check information before publishing.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that representatives came from Lagos, Ogun, Railway, Port Authority, Airport, Special Fraud Unit, Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Marine, Medical and Cooperatives.

SNATCH BALLOT BOX ON SATURDAY
[/s]

Trash. We all know who the father thugery and ballot snatching is. come to lagos and witness ballot snatching at its ugliest.

Nobody is supporting ballot snatching. What we are saying is that we already have punishment stipulated by our constitution for ballot snatching. If you feel that that law is not sufficient enough, then kindly raise it with the NA and amend the laws to say 'shoot ballot snatchers at sight'.

As of now our law on ballot snatching Section 129 (4) of the Electoral Act states, “Any person who snatches or destroys any election material commits an offence and is liable on conviction to 24 months imprisonment.”

Anything contrary to this means we are running a banana republic where anyone can choose to do anything he FEELS is right.
