SportsTiger Woods Secures His Fourth Victory Of 2013 by ShackAttack(op): 1:18pm On May 15, 2013
Tiger Woods secured his fourth
win of 2013 with a two-shot
victory at The Players
Championship at Sawgrass.
With Woods and Sergio Garcia level, the
tournament looked to be heading for a play-off
until the Spaniard put two tee shots in the water
at the 17th hole.
A par on the 18th was enough for Woods, 37, to
take victory with a round of 70.
The American said: "I'm getting better. This was
hard. The conditions got tricky. I had a hard time
reading the putts. The greens were dicey."
Swede David Lingmerth, who was in the final pair
with Garcia, missed a birdie putt on the signature
17th, which is a par three with an island green, to
move level with Woods.
But the 25-year-old finished in a share of second
with Americans Kevin Streelman and Jeff
Maggert. Scotland's Martin Laird shot 67 to finish
one shot further adrift alongside Ryan Palmer and
Henrik Stenson.
Garcia also found the water on 18 and finished six
shots back.
The Spaniard, 33, said: "You have to be
disappointed, not so much with 18, but with 17. I
got going nicely from the 11th onwards, I felt I
was hitting the ball better, felt calmer and got too
confident on 17.
"I'd hit so many good shots in a row and I
under-hit it."
Woods returned to the top of the world
rankings in March but his three previous wins
this year had been on courses he has traditionally
been successful on.
But, having won at Sawgrass in 2001, this was
just his second victory at The Players
Championship, sometimes called the "fifth major"
in the United States. Woods has now won 78
PGA Tour titles, four short of the record held by
Sam Snead.
Woods and Garcia were involved in a row
during the rain-interrupted third round after
the Spaniard felt that Woods was to blame for
crowd noise that interrupted his swing.
But they were kept apart in the final round as
Lingmerth joined them in a share of the lead after
54 holes.
Speaking after the third round, Garcia said of
Woods: "He's not my favourite guy to play with.
He's not the nicest guy on Tour. So it will good
for both us not to play together again.
"We don't like each other. It doesn't take a rocket
engineer to figure that out. He is who he is. I am
who I am. It's best we're not playing together
again."
Garcia, when asked if he regetted the spat with
Woods, said: "It sounds like I was the bad guy
here. I was the victim. I don't have any regrets of
anything."
Woods picked up three shots on the front nine of
the final round and moved two clear of the field
with a birdie on the 12th, only to find the water
from the tee and drop two shots on the 14th.
But just as he gave the chasing pack an opening,
Maggert put the ball in the water on 17, Lingmerth
missed his chance on the same hole and Garcia
fell apart.
Woods added: "I was in control and hit the worst
shot I could hit on the tee at 14 and made a
double but I just stayed patient and told myself
that was my only bad swing all day.
"Apart from that tee shot I really played well. I'm
just trying to get better and I've had a good start
to the year."
England's Lee Westwood had yet another
frustrating day with the putter as he finished six
shots back, while Northern Ireland's Rory McIlroy
rallied with four birdies on the back nine to also
finish on seven under par.

WHATSAPP (Social Text Messaging App)
Whatsapp Messenger as-is formerly known as is a social texting app, it portable (in the sense that its data usage like BBM is minimal and cost little or nothing depending on the Phone you using)

Its regular interface varies depending on the phone's Operating System been used (Smartphone, Android, Blackberry, Windows 8, S40 OS)

The most unique feature is that it has the fun side of BBM and 2go as well..

BBM and Whatsapp Messenger have little similarities (BBM: can add someone by BBM PIN; WHATSAPP: The user to be added must have Whatsapp installed on his phone)

HOW TO PREPARE WAAKYE
=============================

(Waakye is a typical Ghanaian Delicacy; it is a mixture of well prepared brown rice and beans)
Enjoy!

It’s very simple and has this earthy, healthy taste.

Here is the recipe...

Here are my Ingredients:

4 cups Brown Rice
3 cups red beans
3 millet stalks
3 medium Tilapia (cut into 3 each)
1 pound of wele (cow skin) cut into sizeable pieces
8-10 medium sized tomatoes
2 medium sized onions
8 Peppers
Cooking oil
2 Maggi cubes
Salt
Black Pepper

Start by soaking the bean overnight.

https://www.chapter128.com/soaking_red_beans.jpg

Start by soaking the beans overnight. I find that it not only softens them and reduces cooking time, but it makes it easier to pick out stones and such, which I do and then put the beans on to boil.

Season the fish

https://stepinternational.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/Tilapia-Bowl.jpg

Wash Millet Stalks

Wash the millet stalks to remove any dirt or dust. Do this quickly since the colour starts to run as soon as they get wet. Cut them into lengths of 3 to 4 inches, toss them in with the boiling beans and allow then to cook together.

Get rid of dirt from rice if any need necessary

Pick through the brown rice if you have to. There are a few husks of rice that are better not found in the waakye as well as stones depending on how "brown" your rice is. I bought mine from a lady in Kaneshie market who had brown rice that had been picked as well as a cheaper version she said hadn't been picked. The price difference wasn't equal to the amount of work I saw looming ahead of me, so I chose the picked version.

Wash and Drain rice

Wash and drain your rice and add it to the beans as soon as they are cooked, add salt and some water if necessary and cook as you would cook rice.

Blend Onions, Tomatoes and Pepper

https://greenbeandelivery.com/healthytimes/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/Tomato-Onion-and-Pepper-Salad-282x282.jpg

Blend the tomatoes and pepper. Chop the onions and heat about 2 tablespoons of cooking oil and start frying the onions.

When the onions turn translucent and just start to brown around the edges, add the tomato puree.

Add a Maggi cube some salt and cover for about 5 minutes to allow the tomatoes to cook.

Uncover and allow the sauce to simmer down and start to fry. Fry the stew till it is dry and almost sticking ...

... then add the wele and a cup or 2 of water depending on how thick or tough your wele is. The tougher it is, the more water you will need. Cover and simmer on a low fire. when the stew thickens and the wele is the desired texture (a fork can go through), you don't want to over cook it as it will become a gooey gluey mess.

Heat 1 cup of oil in a pan. When it is hot, lower the heat and gently place the fish into it making sure to space them enough that they dont touch. If they do, the will tear when you try to turn them. Fry each side for about 3 to 5 minutes.

Using a spatula or fork, turn the fish, if there is significant resistance leave it for a minute or so, then try turning again, when it is ready, it should turn easily. When it is evenly cooked, remove from the oil and drain on paper towels. Continue till all the fish is fried.
Serve the Waakye with the Fish and Wele stew.

Enjoy!!

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Manchester United's Premier League Winners' Medals (A Sneak Peak) by ShackAttack(op): 5:37pm On May 10, 2013
Sir Alex Ferguson's Red Devils will be handed their 13th title along with the shiny medals when they take on Michael Laudrup's Swansea at Old Trafford on Sunday

Goal.com have got our hands on pictures providing an exclusive sneak peak at the Premier League winners' medals for the 2012/13 season.

The medals and a 13th Premier League trophy will be handed to Manchester United following their penultimate match of this campaign against Swansea at Old Trafford on Sunday.

It should be an emotional occasion as Manchester United supporters bid farewell to Sir Alex Ferguson in his last ever home game as the Red Devils manager.

While Ryan Giggs is set to collect his 13th winners' medal there are some United players still in the hunt to breach the minimum 10-game cut-off to earn themselves the invaluable piece of memorabilia.

Anders Lindegaard needs Sir Alex to give him two more appearances in their remaining fixtures for him to be eligible for his first ever winners' medal.

The likes of Nick Powell and Alexander Buttner won't receive a medal in their debut season as the 10-game limit is now beyond their reach.

Darren Fletcher is another to miss out after making only three appearances in a season ravaged by injury. He joins the likes of Gary Neville and Owen Hargreaves as medal-less players in a title-winning season.

I was surprised at what he said because I have always depended on the Social-Website's frontpage (which is unlike Nairaland.com [a forum site]) for regular and updated News Contents for viewing purposes only.

If you are a member of NP, I hope you are just making use of the social media part of it?

Please, Nairalanders what are your views on this?

HE MUST SCORE SIX GOALS IN FOUR LEAGUE MATCHES

https://estaticos04.marca.com/imagenes/2013/05/10/en/football/barcelona/1368168954_extras_noticia_foton_7_1.jpg

It is no secret that Leo Messi has always wanted to go one better with each new season, improving as a player, breaking his own records, doing battle with himself. With four games remaining till the close of the league season, the main aim - to win the title - is almost in the bag. Meanwhile, the Barça striker has a few personal scores left to settle, and they are still within his reach.

Messi has scored 45 goals so far in La Liga. He is only five away from matching his best tally ever, which he achieved last season. This record still stands as the highest number of goals ever scored in the competition in one single season. But it isn't outside the realms of possibility for Messi to set the bar even higher.

The first chance he'll have will be this Sunday in the Vicente Calderón and, what's more, Atlético is one of his favoured victims. It is the team he has scored most goals against since joining Barcelona. In the league competition alone he has struck 17 times in 13 games against the Matress-makers. It remains to be seen what physical shape he is in but if his league match against Betis is anything to go by, when he scored twice and almost got a hat-trick, the Argentine has a good chance of making the starting line-up.

After playing in the Calderón, Barça face Valladolid at home. After that, they play away to Espanyol in Cornellá, the only first division team stadium that Messi has yet to score in. What more incentive does he need? The Argentine has scored eight goals in 13 derbies, but not one even once in Cornellà-El Prat. Finally, Barcelona will end its season at home to Málaga. Five goals in four games is all it takes and one thing is clear - if anyone can, Messi can.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Iniesta's Father Slams Real Madrid Coach by ShackAttack(op): 9:59am On May 10, 2013
José Antonio Iniesta, the father of the Barcelona midfielder, hit out at José Mourinho on the airwaves of Radio MARCA: "Mourinho has no respect or shame. Andrés never mentioned Mourinho at all: he was talking about Iker, because they have a good relationship, and too right, because he's telling the truth. Mourinho is always picking fights. The Madrid fans have supported him, but eventually you'll see him for what he really is".

Iniesta Sr. did not hold any punches when discussing Mou's treatment of Casillas: "Whoever's in the team, you have to show your colleagues respect. He's failed to do so with Iker, a guy with great human qualities and who is an institution, both in Spanish football as a whole and at Real Madrid. If this had happened in Germany or England, Mourinho would have been long gone by now".

Asked whether his son has a chance of ever picking up the Ballon d'Or, the midfielder's father said: "He won his own Ballon d'Or a long time ago for being humble and giving so much pleasure to everyone around him".

As for the future, José Antonio Iniesta said that his son aims to retire in the Catalan capital: "He wants to end his career at Barcelona, but there comes a time in football when your level dips because of the strain of competing for so long. That will be the time to call it a day at Barcelona".
