For Olori Wuraola Otiti Zainab, the beautiful wife of the Ooni of Ife kingdom, His Imperial Majesty Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, fate is not smiling at her marriage at the moment. And those who should know are saying that the union is as good as over.





Of course, serious marriage problems don’t happen overnight. They creep up on lovers gradually. And shockingly, investigations by Global Excellence magazine, since the news of this crisis was broken a few days ago, showed that both Ooni Ogunwusi and Olori Wuraola had lived apart for most of the 17 months old marriage before it became a public spectacle.



A very reliable source told Global Excellence magazine that, for some bizarre reasons, Olori Wuraola soon became an isolated object to the three sisters of the Ooni.



“Since she moved into the palace after the marriage ceremony, the Oluaye’s sisters have avoided her like a disease,” the source said, while denying knowledge of any reason why her sisters-in-law distanced themselves from her. However, another source told Global Excellence magazine that the Ooni’s sisters were only supporting the king’s father who earlier information revealed never supported Ooni to marry Olori Wuraola.



The source revealed that the woman Ooni married in 2007, his first wife, Adebukunola Adebisi Ogunwusi, also suffered the same fate in the hands of Ooni’s family, particularly the three jolly sisters. Adebukunola’s marriage to their son packed up nine years after allegedly without fruits, immediately after Ooni Ogunwusi’s coronation, leaving Olori Wuraola, a longtime acquaintance, to fill in the vacuum.



But Global Excellence magazine’s main source claimed that Olori Wuraola’s case was different. According to the source that is close to the palace, unlike Adebukunola who is gentle in nature, Olori Wuraola has the trait of a troublesome personality.



Until Adebukunola’s marriage to Ooni ended in December 2016, the source hinted, there was no major quarrel between them, except that the Ooni’s family members were allegedly on her neck over child issue. “The signs were there,” noted the palace source, adding that, as leopard can’t change its spots, Olori Wuraola couldn’t change the bothersome personality that she really was which soon dawned on Ooni Ogunwusi himself and made him to almost give up on the marriage within four months. The source said that whenever Olori Wuraola had issues with Ooni, she got too serious, moved the fight from the level of love and understanding, to breaking valuable items in the house that cost millions to buy.



“When there was an issue between her and the Oluaye, she got angry and her ego took over. She would resort to bringing down and breaking expensive things in the house. She would get so serious that most times she would hit the sensitive trigger points of the king but because we have a king that is fair and mature in nature, he often allowed it to pass not because of anything but for his image and purity of his throne.”



It was gathered that, when the crisis was becoming unbearable for Ooni and was steadily rubbing on his image and integrity, he allegedly abandoned Olori Wuraola. “He stopped seeing her, stopped taking her on official trips and both maintained their stand until the public got to know about it,” the source stated.



Also, the source said that Olori Wuraola made some demands from Ooni, a condition she allegedly gave if she must leave the palace in peace, else the world would know about the palace ‘secrets’.



It was said that Olori Wuraola asked for the sum of N100 million, three latest SUVs and a mansion. The source added that, before the crisis became public item, the monarch was already building a magnificent house to be presented to Olori Wuraola probably on her next birthday. This magazine also learnt that a mansion in Lekki, Lagos State, had already been given to her by the Ooni. Global Excellence magazine could not verify this particular claim though.



Presently, the source noted, there seems to be no solution in sight to the Ife Palace crisis, as, it is said, Ooni Ogunwusi may bring in a new queen who had allegedly been waiting on the sidelines any moment from now.
