Lugbe a satellite town in the FCT has always been bedeviled by lack of power supply. It is unfortunate that it came to this, because the most irresponsible PHCN staff are stationed there. All they are interested in is to cut off light. This is a town that can never boast of 10 days power supply in a month. I pray someone does something about this because since Saturday there has not been a blink of light and PHCN claims its because of this incident that happened at Tudun Wada Village while the whole estate remains in darkness. So sad So unfortunate.

The sad thing is.

Today, Ghana is Economically stable than Nigeria, and what did they do to Nigerians trooping every 10 Minutes into their Country? they showed us love.

We should emulate how Ghana shows everybody love into our lives.

Have you stayed in ghana? you will know how much they hate Nigerians. Dont be decieved

To Robonski and Fellow Nairalanders.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

This is a very good news to start the new year. I also register my felicitation. Thanks to Robonski and others for taking the necessary steps to realizing the dreams and more grease to your elbow.

Fellow Nairalanders, pls I have this observation. It seems we have been concentrating our energies on the supply side of the business, i.e. how to improve the methodologies of fish farming to enhance output, starting from different kinds of ponds, seeds, feeds, water management, and harvesting. What about the demand side? How can we, as an association or group, ensure we break the barriers to self-sustainance in fish (many kind of fishes) production in Nigeria? How can we get the ears of the government to gradually set the machineries in motion to put a partial ban (and later total ban) on fish importation like they are doing for rice production now?

In addition, I can remember some people engage in dried fish for exportation. Can we have some people, already doing this successfully (I mean profitably with consistent market) engage on how to make dried fish produced in Nigeria acceptable worldwide? Can these people dedicate themselves (like Robonski and the likes doing currently on feeds and improved practices in fish farming, generally) to improve on the method(s) of smoking that is/are of very acceptable standards worldwide? Are they ready to share their experiences on this forum so that other people can learn? Can we also organize ourselves by zones for dried fish exportation?

We need total explosion in fish farming in Nigeria since the challenges and opportunities are right there in front of us as good and dedicated Nigerians. Fish is one of the products we are wasting a lot of our hard earned foreign currencies on. The sky will just be the limit for us if we can succeed in the two directions. I am just thinking.....

Thanks for your understanding beyond the little I managed to say for now.
This is definately on point. please can people who are into drying and export come up with a sort of blue print like what robonski and soft are doing on feed and seed. After all its a win win situation for all. I look forward to responses from our experts in the house.

This sounds like a very good idea. But I am wondering how fish farmers who are "upcountry" will be properly integrated in this plan. Can we benefit from the fingerlings/juvenile/feed sales with little/minimal additional logistical cost.
this is to confirm to you that I also got my fingerlings from robonski yesterday and destination is Abuja. some fishes are called shooters abi jumpers. but i call this ones flyers. Cos even with spending time on the way before arriving, they were very very active. I will advise you place your order now. Cos the fish demand pass supply ooo

I can see the ongoing debate regarding the formation of the association.. Mr soft has done justice to the benefit and aims of the association..we are one big and happy family and I will support anybody who wish to form any group or association..

It has long been my desire to have an association where we can have our own dedicated hatchery, feed mill to produce our own feed, meeting house, access to funds, training for members, and cosultancy etc it Doesnt get better than this, its a win win for all.. I WILL decide if the feed will be sold to the public or not.. To cut the long story short we are not imposing it on anybody to join the association but rather letting people know the mission and vision and the benefit of joining the association.. it's a choice .. I have to stop here since soft has said it all.. God bless
this is the reason why i am addicted to this thread. The maturity and selfless ness. Kudos Robons baba and Softee. I dey follow you bumper to bumper in wande coal's voice cos "The future is here"!

Chilan take a chill pill and watch this play out itself me too dey watch lol. This is the only thread where info are freely shared and has made fish farmers out of all comers and they come to share their success stories with us here. In other groups you are either givn half info or completely misled. more so joining an association or union is free you can choose to be a part of it or not. so what's the big deal? I don't see y the brouhaha about selling seed or feed. people can choose to patronise robonski or not the guy will not stop anyone from lifting information from the thread and creating ebooks. shikenan Magana ya kare

They're timeless because of the impact they had then and it still reflects till now. If he were to be a musician of this age, it won't make any difference. Tell me how many hit songs of now that actually make sense in terms of what the song is suppose to portray. And how many of the sensible ones make waves.

Alot of what he sang about are still relevant till present day. You will agree with me that even then his songs reflected the realities of that period he was a star in his time, recognised internationally, i can bet you that most hit songs of now adays, are forgotten as fast as the next release, music is suppose to be a literary work, once that is out, it becomes something to be relished just for the moment.

Thank God he was born 77 years ago.. .if he had been born in this age, his songs wouldn't have made much sense to most people.

There you are wrong, fela's songs are timeless. All i hear this days are a mumbling of meaningless songs concocted for the half educated and dim-wits, who writtle and gyrate to them. Art and poetry has abandoned and in it's place, a cacophony of sometimes irritating and discordinate sounds
