He's right , there are courses you don't study in Nigeria else it'll be a waste of time if you've got no skills e.g engineering and medical courses.

Skills are more important than all these rubbish you do in Nigerian universities.
It's like you're contradicting yourself. You said he's right but went ahead to blame the system for having courses that amount to a waste of time.

Says Reno

Do you know why oil and gas companies operating in Nigeria have to keep applying for expatriate quotas to bring in thousands of foreign workers? It is because there are over 250,000 oil and gas jobs in Nigeria, yet Nigerians keep going to universities to read library science, linguistics, sociology, philosophy and political science. Courses that have no relevance to anywhere and anything in Nigeria.

Then these same people complain that foreigners are coming to take their jobs. What job can you do at Chevron with your PhD in Religious Studies? That is why Total and Elf are bringing non-graduates with technical skills from France to do jobs that you could have done if you had just spent six months learning a skill.

Dangote built a $19.5 billion refinery and could not find 11,000 technicians to run it, because all of you have degrees in botany and philosophy. Google it. Dangote had to import 11,000 technicians from India. They are at Lekki earning in one hour more than you make in a month, because you wasted four years studying languages and linguistics. The next thing is to join Obidients to blame Tinubu for your predicament. I greet you o!

In your mind now, you think you made sense? Nigerian police and Canadian police which one has a more entrenched history for abusing black lives? You just jump everywhere here talking without thinking.

Honor has nothing to do with whether someone knows you or not. If you do a despicable thing even in your closet, you've lost some honor which you can regain only by making up for what you did.

Not everyone would know how to cook, yes. Cooking is a skill to be acquired but your reason behind not learning how to cook makes zero sense.
It's very immature of you to trash what someone said completely as making "zero sense". Why, you don't know if he made sense to another person other than you. I tell you, if there is just one person that he made sense to, then you are the one who has made zero sense instead. And I tell you, he made sense to me, big sense indeed.

This is why only mature men can control women. If you see little things that can cause problem in your marriage, it's better to let it go instead of trying to assert yourself always.

There is nothing someone will say on this Nairaland that you will not see one witch coming to talk nonsense about it. This nonsense must stop in this 2024.

Those two bolded are kind of conflicting. If he was born that way, meaning he was created same way by the same person you asked him to handover to. On a lighter note though grin grin

Personally, I think people's social & behavioral pattern is largely the influence of the immediate environment & the society. The females around him may have unconsciously played a significant role while he was growing up. I have observed cases where bigger sisters regularly costumed their kid brother with their own wears & makeup. Bath & freely unclothe completely in his presence, etc. Its even worse when he happens to be the only "male" around.
You started laughing grin grin grin without hearing my response first. That he was born that way doesn't necessarily mean that he was created that way. There may have been some negative interruptions in the womb that may not have been permitted by God.

I was responding to the other guy and I quoted a tweet that show that even society influence is just like the person was born that way, using Yahoo as an example but it's similar. https://twitter.com/DNCNetwork1/status/1743198485287981148?t=494IfK6jmV1wF_JDzFcHHQ&s=19

Africans a d God, instead of looking for a way out, you are calling God
Ok. What's your own advice? The op asked us for an advice. I have given mine, what is yours. Give your advice. And, if you don't have what to say, it's wiser to just keep cool and pass instead of looking for already given advice to criticize. The fact that you don't believe in God doesn't mean everybody should not believe in God.

The Bible says that it's fools who don't believe that there is God. For me, that's quite logical because, how can someone exist and would not acknowledge that he or she was made the way he is by Someone. That 'Someone' is God.

If you have a superior argument for why I shouldn't believe in God, you can let me know. I'll be very glad to consider it with absolute fairness. Otherwise, it's only fair for you to submit to my superior reason and believe in God NOW. The next moment might turn out to be late. Thank you.

BusinessRe: Naira Appreciates By 13.51% To N895.23/$1 by SharingIsLife(m):
The gain represented currency appreciated 13.51 per cent against the previous day’s figure.

Meanwhile, at the parallel market, the Naira dropped marginally to exchange at N1230/$1, representing a 0.81 per cent decline from the N1,220 per dollar it quoted on Wednesday.
What makes the Naira gain at the main market at the same time that it loses at the parallel market? It's now I'm beginning to understand why FG went after BDCs the other time.

In any case, this is some good news. 13.51% gain in 24 hours is commendable. FG should be encouraged to try to know what caused the gain so that they'd do more of that.

unfortunately fg dnt even know, try and error.

Cantonese:
It may not be copyright.

Car manufacturers share certain parts with each other, as they have the same parts coming from the same suppliers.

For instance, I used to have a BMW 3 series many years ago. The same car shared parts with a Mercedes model. I only found out when the mechanic collected the same from the Mercedes mechanic and it was the same.

Truly, aside from Nigeria, certain people must not come around you. They kill ideas.

Go to some ministries and parastatals today with a proposal. If you are asked to drop it and come back, you just gifted someone your idea. They simply copy it and submit. They get the approvals for themselves. When you return to check, they hand over your documents to you and tell you that they were not accepted by oga. The next, you’ll find someone carrying out the job with another name.

The life sometimes feels like a jungle!
The irony of it (which is why we are where we are) is that the person who stole the idea can never implement it every inch like the originator. So, it fails to fly. Our selfishness is our major setback.

The Autonov1, which was made in the 1970s by the famous and iconic UNILAG Engineer, Professor Ayodele Oluwatumininu Awojobi (12 March 1937 - 23 September 1984) is the FIRST Nigerian produced vehicle.

Those of us who are older can indeed confirm the historical FACT that the Autonov1 was produced many years before 1997. Please it's very important for historical facts to be checked before posting misleading info on NL and online and @AfricaFacts on X is becoming a non-credible site for getting accurate information.

=>https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autonov_1
Sir, the Autonov 1 was a great invention. I'm very happy to know about it. And I'm grateful to you for sharing it. But, try to understand why, not only AfricaFactZone but also Wikipedia says that Z-600 was the first fully indigenous car made in Nigeria. It's because over 90% of Z-600 parts were sourced locally but Autonov 1 was made from an abandoned Leyland Jeep.

Whatever be the case, both Autonov 1 and Z-600 and more and more prove that Nigeria has been a dream killer for a long time.
