Politics / Re: What Is Bishop Oyedepo's Problem With Buhari? See This by sharonorg: 10:16pm On Dec 03, 2018
No one is abusing him. People are surprised that despite is level of Education and the top adviser around him he did not realise the Article he was quoting was written as a satire/a work of fiction to mock those that believe we have an imposter in Aso Rock
oruma19:
anybody that abuses the bishop is useless, oyedepo is first a nigerian before becoming a pastor. He has 100% right to ask questions. Nonsense country
Politics / Re: What Is Bishop Oyedepo's Problem With Buhari? See This by sharonorg: 10:13pm On Dec 03, 2018
He is an Educated Pastor but could not differentiate between a Satire and Reality. The Article he is referring to is a satire/a work of fiction written by the writer to mock those who believe we have an imposter in Aso Rock. He completely did not understand the article.
DerrickzB:
When did being a pastor stop him from being a Nigerian Sometimes people talk without reasoning, should he also be disenfranchised because he is a pastor Or can he not speak on any issue bothering the nation and himself?? If it was a muslim cleric that spoke this stuff now.. everybody would keep quiet and mind their businesses.. we are being oppressed and the man that speaks up is attacked.. make una continue to dey mumu.. see ifa hear peem!!

Family / Re: My Husband Has A Different Surname To The One He Uses.. by sharonorg: 2:12am On May 14, 2018
So sorry to hear of your story.but unfortunately the name problem is not an unusual one as there are many Nigerians in UK working under names that is not there real names(People call it using other peoples passport).Like u said he was an overstayer in the UK after his visiting visa expired and the only way he would have being working all that long is because he probable was using another person's passport(He can't get a job with his visiting visa).Like I said it is not an unusual situation but he needs to sit you down and be honest with you as this thing as a way of being a problem in the future.Do not argue with him but talk to him and promise to help him but he needs to be honest eith you.Pls also keep it between you guys.
Morwendy:
Hi. New here but have read threads for years til now and I just have a simple question to ask . Ok, I know how dim I sound but I married my Nigerian husband 8 years ago. Next week, we apply for his permanent leave to remain here. We've been happy enough since we got married, the usual ups and downs but nothing too serious. Anyway, I found that he has a website advertising a business in Nigeria. Asked him about it and he says yes its his but its not up and running yet (like thats why I was mad at him rather than because he set ghis up without even telling me). I was looking at some photos on his site and I came across a poster laying out the days events for his fathers funeral. At the foot of the poster it says 'by [his name but different surname] on behalf of the family. Now, this new surname is the same as his fathers so I believe it to be his true name. Asked him about it and he says that his surname is different to the rest of his family because he chose to take his paternal grandfathers name. I assume his father should also bear the grandfathers name? He just keeps telling me that I don't understand Nigerian customs/traditions but now the word 'scammed' keeps popping into my head. A simple yes or no would be enough - is it usual for a man to NOT take his fathers name? Thanks in advance.

But the VP just said it and why are those people you just qouted not crying. My question is why not publish the whole list instead of picking names from only one side.
Cooly100:

If the names in the list were all from the south...viz Igbo, Yoruba, Ijaw, EfiK, Ibibio, Itsekiri, Ikwere...would the the north; the sultan, emirs, religious clerics, elites, youths and almajiris accept it?

Just ask yourself that questions...

Reading most of this comments indicates the level at which our Educational system has degraded to.The Vice president brought out figures as he believes it is and i have not seen anyone here that have posted a contrary figure to proof him wrong.
I think we need to go back to the 80s when we all didnt have access to phones and social media because it seems we have lost our sence of reasoning.

According to the story in the papers here and she confirmed that he gives her money sometimes several hundred of pounds per week. She is a bad influence on her 2kids lifes. We do not bring our kids up with the intention that they must buy us houses tomorrow. If they do then its there choice as they do not owe us a penny.
For 2 kids to say no to there mum then theres more to the story. She is not handicapped so why is she not working and now she is making money from the Newspaper by putting this sort of story out there damaging her kids name.It clearly shows the type of mother she is(A lazy bum and drug addict).

What you posted does not mean he had a job my brother.I can this minute within 5 minutes setup a company in UK and all it will cost me is £50.My family members will be directors which is in this case. Here are the history of Nnamdi KANU before he became an activist.

Kanu was born in Isiama Afara, Abia State, Nigeria. His father is HRM Eze Israel Okwu Kanu (JP) and his mother is Ugoeze Nnenne Kanu. He attended Library Avenue Primary School (now part of Government House, Umuahia) and went to Government College Umuahia for his secondary education. He later gained admission to the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) but left after two years. He moved to London and studied Political Economics at London Guildhall University now called London Metropolitan University (LMU).

According to Nnamdi KANU himself, he said that he was admitted to study geology but all receive chemistry class, which according to him was not in line with what wanted. Nnamdi went home, and told his father to send him abroad to study, that he will no longer continue with UNN. He he got admitted, and studied political economics at London guildhall university.
Nnamdi KANU and his friend Luke chukuma Egemba established Alpha Phoenix consulting firm, which was incorporated in 2005.

The problem is not those in government but we.We put they in power and I bet u if there's another election tomorrow we will still do same. They divide us with tribal sentiment, and so we occupy ourselves fighting each other instead of the common enemy.
The day we all unite and say no to this criminals then and only then shall we rescue ourself from our taskmaster.

Only ignorant people like you still believe or support FFK.
The Military are like any professions in the country that work shift hours. They get posted to a certain duty and get rostered around and also have offdays. It's not possible to have just one tribe at a particular post or Allocated duty as it raises a red flag. Osinbajo is not a baby he has being in position of Authority all is life and surely doesn't need a drug addict like FFK to tell him what to do. stop jumping around criticising people.

And how did you arrive at that your 90000 figure, what about the petrol stations(how many staffs per each all over the world) that are created indirectly by shell operations. The story says upstream and downstream so it means all forms of employment that will be created until it gets to the final consumers(me and you).
ephi123:

Shell as huge and global as it is has only about 90,000 - probably less now with all the divestments.

Not only 500,000 they should have made it 1,000,000

You see your life, the story says both upstream and downstream.which mean those directly employed by the company and also the other chain of employment through the distribution network before it gets to the consumers.
TooNoisy:
This government should stop the foolish lies. Even huge organisations like Shell, GE and Total that operate in almost every country don't employ 500,000 people globally. How can a company that is not operational employ up to 500,000 people.

Unless they plan to employ ghost workers who will work from home like the president is doing. smiley smiley

Travel / Re: Dear Nigerians In Diaspora, Is This Wickedness Or Selfishness? by sharonorg: 3:02am On Apr 29, 2017
Am not sure you right. Do you know that you now can't get accommodation in the UK without a valid residence visa. Most of the jobs the illegal migrant use to do in UK are now being done by the Eastern Europeans. Even as a student before you get a year to stay after your Masters programme to see if you can get a job but do you realise that's also no more.
If you live in Niger and you have 500k saved up and looking to job ship you better think twice. That money in Niger with good common sense might be worth 5million or more in 5 Yrs time but nothing in the UK(Detention and depotation).
If you work hard and strive to get to the top of your Career then you got a choice as there are legitimate way of travelling to UK or remaining in Niger.
bebe2:

I totally understand u,

But I do think for some pple traveling could be the only way out.

Now , I don't live in the USA so I can't tell wat illegals go through but in the uk they can get a job not legally though, and the smart ones will work 80 hrs a week quickly buy a small plot , build a one goat for their family back home . And u know once accommodation is settled , life is much easier anywhere in the world.

Getting in illegally does not mean one will never be legal. Once u are in u start to walk the ropes to settlement like millions of illegals before u.
