WritterNg: He's right.
Russia is the largest country on earth. No army on earth can cover an area that size. Not even 80 million troops. The US can barely mobilize 2 million troops.
Russia has the largest mineral reserves on earth. Rare earth metals and others in abundance.
Russia has the largest missile arsenal on earth. And the largest and most diverse nuclear arsenal.
Russia is backed by China & India and the rest of Asia (4 billion people). All nuclear armed btw.
So how on earth do you expect the US to win against Russia? Even with the help of NATO. China will not mobilize it's army to fight for Russia if a war begins, neither will india, India is more dependent on America than on Russia and India also will not mobilize to fight for Russia, if NATO wants an all out war with Russia, Russia will be totally destroyed, Russia is powerful, but not that powerful as you make it to look. |

kedeojo: You people are the architect of not producing a president since 1999. Obasanjo was never south west choice rather from the Northern establishment but your zone openly supported the north against south west. How do you expect them to be happy with you people. You guys just did it to spite the yorubas then. You did it against Abiola too by voting against him when other zones supported him. At the moment, you guys can't produce a president. The only best option to be a vice presidential candidate in 2031 under APC, but at the moment, we south south are even in the pole position to snatch it. Do away with politics of hatred, bitterness and emotion. you are not from the south south, why pretending, you lie shamelessly that you are from Edo state, but I have come across your comment on here once in a while, you are one of those ROnu folks, why not just own up to it. |

raumdeuter: Those 6million votes Obi got were votes that would normally have gone to Atiku like they did in 2019
If Obi didn't fragment PDP votes in 2023, it would have been almost impossible for Tinubu to win you are very wrong, those 6million vote atiku got in 2019 were mainly from the south and it was because obi was on the ticket. If atiku hadn't contested in 2023 the votes he got from the south would most likely have gone to obi, obi won Delta and akwa ibom but atiku got a large number from those states those votes all of them would have gone to obi. |

kafeii123: I think I agree with you that there's been no serious show of leadership/tackling of critical issues since the guy was elected...I somehow believe that he's not sound enough to have the position...if not for quota system issues...his current deputy should do better in that seat..also... I am suspecting that it may be due to oshiomole and APC's meddlings in the state's treasury...we don't know what fraction of the state's resources he will need to release to the bosses who got him into the seat..
But it may also be because they have so much issues to still sort out.... I will personally want to see if he's been paying the civil servants appropriately...and then perhaps see what plans he's drafting up to show his legacy on the people..although given the why he came in...it may be hard to do...especially with these lawsuits that may throw him out of the office anytime. he is definitely not sound enough for the Job. |

kafeii123: Obaseki began d work in your street...in what year?.... why did he have to wait till that time?... he was trying to play Amosun's ogun state script on you people...that fool also destroyed ogun state roads and bulldozed their markers...then left it like that for over three years...only to start beginning to fix them when his tenure was almost over...forcing the electorate to vote his candidate ...if they want the roads fixed...it's bad practice and whilst I do not promote illegality...I do not blame okpebholo for refusing the unfairness.... those who are affected should really have sued obaseki for not holding the election when he should have I don't blame okphebolo completely for the abandoned project in my street, but one thing I have noticed is the lack of construction works going on in the city, okphebolo is getting things wrong, there is practically no leadership direction, what is he doing at the moment, he's been in the news lately but most of it has been, when he demolished certain properties, him promising Tinubu massive vote from Edo , the famous" it is confusing me" speech and his fight with the local govt and the attorney general, apart from these he's been relatively silent on actual leadership. |

mcquin: We don suffer for Edo. I practically relocated from my Siluko Road office to G.R.A cause of the nuisance of agberos and touts calling themselves bus drivers/conductors. EDSTMA that was active under Obaseki has now gone quiet as the hooliganism has been enthroned.
Funny truth is that is what Edolites want. Trade on walk ways, pick and drop passengers at the middle of the road. Go to Ring Road and see different uniforms, nearly 7 doing God knows what with imprints as Freedom at Last. That freedom to do nonsense when Obaseki no been allow us.
I once criticized Obaseki here over his failure to fix Sapele Road in the name of it being a Federal Road, but walai that guy was good; changed the face of our civil service. We really don't know what we have till we lose it. same thing I was told people I have this conversation with, obaseki might not have been perfect but he was definitely better than what the opposition painted him as, even now no major construction work is going on in Edo my street's construction work has been abandoned, the only time we get to hear from okpebholo is when he makes some negative headlines in the news. |

Politics › Re: Ohanaeze Council Slams Oba Of Benin Over Suspension Of Six Igbanke Monarchs by Shattuck(m): 7:54pm On May 03, 2025 |
Irony1: No he doesn't bruv. Check the constitution l, his role is more of ceremonial. Go and read the constitution again. he does have the power to suspend traditional rulers within his domain, he has the enigies, and other titles such titles were not given by the state govt or the federal govt but by the palace, the popular esama of Benin kingdom at one time was suspended by the palace. |
Politics › Re: Ohanaeze Council Slams Oba Of Benin Over Suspension Of Six Igbanke Monarchs by Shattuck(m): 3:58pm On May 03, 2025 |

pazienza: Igbanke land is Igbanke ancestral land, it was never given to them by Bini. this is where you are wrong when you talk about ancestral land hope you don't mean 50-100 years occupation, esan, etsako those are people who have ancestral land, the local govt they occupy is one of the ancient towns in Benin, I don't know much about the present issue on ground but to say igbanke land is ancestral means you know little about the issue on ground. |
Politics › Re: Ohanaeze Council Slams Oba Of Benin Over Suspension Of Six Igbanke Monarchs by Shattuck(m): 8:51am On May 03, 2025 |
Irony1: Oga Nigeria is no longer under the control of a traditional hegemony, even the Oba is still subject to the control of government and as such he has no right to control any community especially the igbankes. he does not have constitutional power, doesn't mean he doesn't have his constitutional territory and as a custodian of the Benin heritage, I am sure the obi of onitsha has an area he rules over or that his kingdom extends to, even though he does not have constitutional power, can I and my tribes people now relocate to onitsha in thousands and settle there and then create our own kingdom in onitsha and then rename onitsha and when the obi complains I then say because he doesn't have constitutional power, that shouldn't be an issue. |
Politics › Re: Ohanaeze Council Slams Oba Of Benin Over Suspension Of Six Igbanke Monarchs by Shattuck(m): 6:59am On May 02, 2025 |
Irony1: But even at that they are not a suzerainity of the Benin kingdom and as such the Oba has no right over them, besides the same Oba under the Nigerian constitution makes his powers more ceremonial especially as it pertains to preservation of tradition, he has no administrative powers to even meddle in the affairs of another ethnic group or community. to be fair if the land the igbanke people occupy is the ancestral land of the Benin kingdom they he has a right over that territory traditionally, the oba does not have the power and has never made any attempt to suspend any esan king or auchi king you know why because those communities are indegenous to the state and separate even though the esan tribe migrated from the Benin kingdom but igbanke is not the same the land they occupy is a Benin land according to certain history they were slaves, if they chose to be igbos fine but they can't claim the territory as theirs or part of the igbo nation. |
Politics › Re: Ohanaeze Council Slams Oba Of Benin Over Suspension Of Six Igbanke Monarchs by Shattuck(m): 6:47am On May 02, 2025 |
Irony1: That is a big lie. Igbanke was never part of Benin kingdom, it was under the Ika division. Make una take am easy to dey lie. that is the truth I can't say for certainty the origin of the igbanke people but I do know that the land they occupy was part of the Benin kingdom, I have heard that they were freed igbo slaves who settled there, even the local govt they occupy is an ancient Benin town/ local government. |
Politics › Re: Ohanaeze Council Slams Oba Of Benin Over Suspension Of Six Igbanke Monarchs by Shattuck(m): 6:23am On May 02, 2025 |
gidgiddy: This is why people who speak the same language should not be subdivided into different states with those who have a completely different language
During the creation of Edo State in the 90's, the Igbanke people were carved into Edo State when they should have been left in Delta State with their fellow Ika's
This has now caused a situation where the Oba of Bini feels these people are his subjects when they are not.
Most unfortunate. if this were the case why does the oba not interfere in the affairs of the esan, auchi and other indigenous non bini kingdom, the igbanke issue has an historically aspect to it, it's more than being grouped into Benin. |

Fahd11: The most viable option for the North now is Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. Constitutionally, he has one more term and that can give the North the chance to get back to power in 2031. However, it will sure take a lot of convincing and strong political hard work to get him to contest. Still, you cannot rule out Tinubu's dexterity to flop this move. Any move to make Obi the leading figure is dead on arrival. The North will prefer to take the risk of an Atiku ahead of Obi because take it or leave it, Atiku is a bigger force than Obi. atiku is not a bigger force, his power lies in his ability to hijack the pdp structure, right now the pdp structure has been decimated even atiku cannot even boost of he control of what's left of the pdp, in terms of the masses support obi has more force than atiku even across region, he won the south and even did well in the north winning some states up north and even the FCT, without the traditional pdp governed state governors support atiku cannot get any organic vote in the south even in the north he has never won majority of the support how is atiku a bigger force then. |

A tribe bini can not be father to a race Yoruba. how is yoruba race far older than the bini, the oldest civilization in the entire yoruba land is ile ife, and when bini was already a kingdom with a thriving kingship, economy and governance, ile ife never had a kingdom let alone a king. |

If you chose free delivery now and later chose premium delivery after the issuance of your visa it can take 2 weeks to get the delivery of your passport except it you paid for express delivery. Although the stated issues does not happen all the time but most time OIS, DHL and the US embassy misunderstand delivery messages amongst themselves especially changing from free to premium. Ciao. is it advisable to apply for a community college or a university for a certificate program rather than a master's program reason being a certificate program aligns more with the technical aspects of my current occupation, will it reduce the chance of getting a visa approval. |
