Foreign AffairsRe: Javier Milei Ends Budget Deficit In Argentina, First Time In 123 Years by Shattuck(m): 1:14pm On Dec 12, 2024
FreeStuffsNG:
Smh. This is falsehood. Fox is the equivalent of fake news platform in Nigeria. A lot of ignorant unpatriotic people with low self esteem will swallow and believe this fake news. Fox News report on economy? Smh.

That country called Argentina is in deep mess so much that it's public service and economy is in utter mess.

You don't achieve deficit by cutting off the salaries of workers and improvishing your citizens and country when great nations like Nigeria with almost 6 times the population of Argentina, is increasing salaries , providing direct palliative to support the vulnerable members of the society and growing GDP quarter on quarter basis while fighting inflation aggressively around 30% compared to that of Argentina that is almost 300%!

"He (Javier Milei) laid off over 70,000 public sector workers, cut pensions by 30% and froze infrastructure projects, pushing the country deeper into recession. Supermarket sales fell 10% last month. The International Monetary Fund lowered its 2024 growth outlook for Argentina, projecting a 3.5% contraction.

Poverty now afflicts a staggering 57% of Argentina’s 47 million people, and annual inflation surpasses 270% — a level unseen in a generation
."

Above and the screenshot below is the ugly and sad reality of Argentina today and not the Fake news by fake news spin Fox media.
why do you guys hate good news about others so much, it is the crap mentality, you hate on any good leader or nation who shows what true leadership is about, children of hate for a reason, if your claim of being patriotic is real, this is where you take inspiration and emulate others who are doing it right, but the mission is not to do it right but to gaslight and use propaganda as the tool while the nations wealth is being looted. Shameless govt / supporters.

From what I've read, ife didn't fight with THE Benin Kingdom but rather with Igodomigodo (the kingdom that preceded the Benin Kingdom)
who was the leader of ife then? Remember ife never had a monarchy then, how could ife had defeated the Benin kingdom or igodomigodo as you stated, when igodomigodo or Benin kingdom was larger than ife, btw I don't have a record of a battle ever taking place.

The OP produced a short video while trying to deceive the gullible. This is the full video. Here is a summary of What the oba of Benin said during his coronation;

Oduduwa was a benin prince who was exiled and went on to become ruler in Ile life. After the ogiso dynasty ended in Benin, the benin people were in need of a ruler and they reached out to their exiled prince. Instead of coming, he sent his son (oranmiyan) to benin to rule and oramiyan gave birth to Eweka the first and later left the kingdom.

A Benin Prince (Oduduwa) founded Ile life after he went on exiled from the Benin kingdom.

Let me ask you first;

When did Bini came into existence?

Who built the bini kingdom?
the bini kingdom has always been in existence since centuries ago and it as always had an monarchy that dates back centuries, same cannot be said of ife who never had leadership or a direct line of succession strangers from around the world took turns to rule over ife even oduduwa was not a local he was a stranger to ife, even a servant once staged a coup a siezed power, if according to your yoruba history oduduwa was the founder of ife, and oduduwa was a stranger, who seized power, you can put 2 and 2 and see that for oduduwa a stranger to come to ife and seize power he must have come from wealth and power, and he must have had men who fought for him, most likely a prince from another kingdom and according to bini history a prince relocated to ife and for him to have established a monarchy in ife he must have also come from a place where monarchy was being practiced being the bini keep kingdom. No be everything Dem dey argue you can actually piece history together and get the fact or close to the fact.

Your bone of contention is wrong..

Their was nothing like Bini before the first Oba of Benin who happens to be Oranmiyan’s son! It used to be called Igodomigodo, a very small remote village. So, how can Oduduwa be from somewhere that wasn’t in existence?
if you have an open mind you would see the truth,imagine you calling the bini kingdom a small remote village, but the bini kingdom has always been larger and mightier than ife, the bini mornachy is older than ile ife's monarchy, if ile ife never had a monarchy then how come they could give bini a monarchy, history never had it that bini an ife fought a war even if a war was fought the bini kingdom was larger and mightier than ife so ife could never had conquered the bini kingdom and take over the monarchy, also ife never had a direct line of succession the monarchy was being seized by coup plotters several people ruled ife even a servant once ruled ife, think about it, if ife never had a direct line of succession how can anyone believe they gave bini a king, the Truth still remains a bini prince once ruled ife and the oba is a direct descendant of that prince.

What I understand about the whole debate is Benin was originally administrated by aboriginal Bini kings, who did not use the title "Oba"

Later on the Bini kings were displaced and usurped by ile Ife Princes that produced the first Obas...ancestors of the current King.

Read vehintolar submission for further clarity.
wrong history, so ife ife princes displaced bini king how could they have done it without a war? And if a war was fought there is no way ife could have defeated the bini kingdom because the bini kingdom was larger and mightier than ife kingdom, secondly ife never had a monarchy read the history anybody coul rule the ancient ife kingdom several outsiders once ruled ife even a servant staged a coup and seized power and became ruler, if a servant can stage a coup and rule ife why then do you doubt a bini prince once ruled ife, also if ife never had a monarchy or a direct line of succession how then could they have given bini a monarchy? Even till this day ife does not have a direct line of succession. The story we know is this a bini prince once travelled to ife and he later ruled over ife his son later became the oba of benin, and that's the truth

Benin ancestry is not Yoruba, it's only the Oba's ancestry that comes from there. The mistake people make is to think that the King and the people share common ancestry. Some of these Kingship came about about by conquest and not necessarily by being indigenous.
do you know that he bini kingdom was larger than ife so how could ife have given bini a king without conquest? And do you also know ife never had a direct line of succession, succession was by palace coup, so how could ife had given bini a monarchy when it never had one? Do you also know a slave once ruled ife he staged a palace coup and won and he became leader of ife, if a servant can become king of ife why then do you doubt the history that a bini prince once ruled ife and the oba is a direct descendant of that bini prince, being a prince from the great bini kingdom might have given him more power and wealth to fight to be king of ife, because then ife never had a king leadership was by coup.

This your analysis is spot on. I do not believe in the definition of betrayal as in the instance you gave. That's flawed loyalty supporters show to politicians. It also has some tribal undertone. I only called him a betrayal because of his many battles with those who helped him to rise. I believe there were some agreement in place which he agreed to before he was supported. Weather these agreements were right or wrong is a matter for another day. He reneged on them once he got what he wanted. He did it to APC and again in PDP. He is courageous but in Nigeria where politics is about feeding fat on the common patrimony by party chieftains.. those who invested in his election will feel betrayed. That's why I called him a betrayal....and he does not know when to draw the line like in the case of the Oba. I also know obaseki is not a career politician that's why he did most of the things he did. We need more non career politicians like him and Sim Fubara so that Godfathers will cease to exist in Nigeria politics.

I have gone through your post and have seen that you have a soft spot for obaseki. He did well generally in governance but his way of playing politics is too arrogant and self destructive. I like him too and actually wanted him to win but you are allowing your likeness for him to overshadow his short coming. You want to potray him as a saint When you know he is flawed in his relationship with people around him. When a particular issues keep happening between one person and several people..then it is time to look inward. Obaseki might have his own conviction but his antecedents will not inspire anyone to take a chance on him in future. Separate emotional attachment from your view of him and you will see how power drunk he was. For instance...in the issue of the Oba concerning the returned artefacts..what was he trying to prove? Apart from showing that he has the power to hold on to those items? The problem with the way we play our politics is that once we like someone...we feel they can never be wrong. Just answer this simple question... do you think any party will support someone like obaseki for any political position again? Be frank with yourself.

And a little advice for you....Learn to outline your opinions without littering it with insultive words. It makes no difference to your argument apart from brewing bitterness
I apologise if my comment may appear insultive, my take on obaseki is this, I want issues about him to be judged singular in the case with the palace I think he was wrong on that, that's just it, now just because he was wrong on that does not for me serve as a justification to just about any accusation from any other individual, let me be practical a bit, when they talk about obaseki and the betrayal thing they talk about how he betrayed his deputy, but for me that wasn't betrayal at all shaibu governorship ambition was wrong and unfair to edo central, how then did he betray shaibu, I am non partisan as it relates to politics I know he has quite a long list of aggrieved person's even in his party, yes maybe he has a character flaw, I just have a problem with the narrative that sometimes folks ,most especially Apc folks use to gaslight the masses by making folks like shaibu, oshiomhole, wike to look like victims, they will tell you osinbajo betrayed Tinubu, by running for president, igbos betray Tinubu by not voting for him in the last ekection, if you live in Lagos and you do not support Tinubu or Apc then you are a betrayer, the word betrayer as it relates to Nigerian politics for me just sounds like a word used to justify slavery and gaslight individuals against having personal ambition or say against a suppose godfather, the same issue is playing out in Rivers State you see how fubara is getting lots of support, against wike,but there are certain folks who desperately try to paint wike as the victim. In context when you look at the US elections Joe Biden wanted to run for a second term, George clonney met with Obama, and Obama applied pressure on Biden to drop out of the race, due to Biden health and poor debatethis is the same Biden who was vice to Obama, Americans and democrats never said how Obama betrayed biden, because Obama's concern was fair and valid.

MR man.. you are missing the point. In politics everyone makes concession. He left APC in acrimonious circumstances...same thing happened in PDP where he divided the party. Even his deputy who put his polical career on the line for him during his travails with APC ...what did he repay him with? If one person keep having problems with everyone else..does it mean he is always right? And you think everyone will have the time to come out and say he did something t o them? The man is a serial betrayal. He is a bad politician. I have nothing against him because I think he performed well as a governor but he must learn to make little concessions as a politician or he should remain in the private sector.
you don't get my point obviously, the whole " serial betrayal" thing is just some bullshit that has been spread and folks like you just echo it without even analysing it yourselves, tell me how did he betray shaibu? By your understanding of politics was it shaibu's turn to become governor? When it was obviously Edo central's turn, how did he betray oshiomhole also, oshiomhole wanted to give him the ambode treatment if you were in his position would you not fight, even after he decamped to the pdp he still reached out to oshiomhole several times, he invited him for events even awarded him, he never maligned oshiomhole in public or fight him the way some do by destroying their houses, who else did he betray, you all misunderstand obaseki's personality, obudu oshiomhole's deputy had intentions then of succeeding oshiomhole, but oshiomhole opposed him, why is oshiomhole not called a betrayer? A man must have its own conviction, and betrayer for me, I based on principles, imagine wike saying obaseki betrayed him, if you ask the idiot how, you will see it was because obaseki did not join him his aso ebi G 5 or whatever, did obaseki betray the pdp? No. So if obaseki had joined wike in his madness, I guess you would not call him a betrayer then, but if he had done that he would have betrayed the pdp, in that case who should he be loyal to? Is it not right that he was loyal to the pdp rather than wike? Yet you all still call him betrayer? The only thing you hate is for people you have helped to even have a opinion or say in anything, for people like you you believe that once you have received any help, that individual owns you, your thoughts, your actions your opinion and everything isn't that slavery and foolishness.
