cococandy: Whenever you hear stuff like this, pls fact check it as most of it is republican propaganda. Take whatever they say with a pinch of salt.
One Easter. One Easter coincided with trans visibility day and the Republicans ran with the fake news that Biden has declared Easter trans day. Since then, haven’t we been celebrating Easter?
We have no public bathroom fiascos here. It’s all made up. Gender neutral bathrooms exist for everyone including families with babies. it doesn’t mean men and women are standing naked in the presence of each other in the name of genderlessness. You pick a stall, lock the door, use it and go your way.
Even in female bathrooms, we’re not standing around naked staring at each other. People who don’t want gender neutral toilets always have male/female bathrooms to choose from. This is absolutely a non-issue. Sometimes dads with little girls have no option but to take their kids to men’s bathrooms. Hence gender neutral toilets come in handy.
I understand the typical Nigerian is ultra conservative so when we hear stuff like this, it triggers a response in them that doesn’t allow one to actually check if it’s true or not. That’s why you hear a lot of people disliking dems without even knowing what’s true and what’s not.
Always use Reuters fact checkers or AP (the gold standard) of reporting to check anything you hear. When you say both parties play politics. Agree . Yet democrats “playing politics” at worst will lead to more diversity and inclusion.
Republicans playing politics will lead to fascism, theocracy and authoritarianism. It’s not the same at all. I know that it was just coincidence with the Easter thing but, still certain folks felt like an Easter message should have been top priority , I don't have nothing against gay people, I just believe that the divide in America is caused by it's political class same way Nigeria divides it's citizens with ethnicity and religion, I remember when covid hit, Trump's first reaction then was to ban all flight from china, and the first reaction then from the democrats was to criticize the move from a racial perspective by claiming racism against asians, a few weeks Afters America recorded massive deaths from covid, and that was one of the reasons why he lost his return bid, now during the presidential election there were polling survey that had suggested that more black mostly male supporters are supporting Trump, then I saw the reactions of some democrats, rapheal Warnock was like "black men aren't confuse" Obama was like " black men need to stop complaining" Michelle was like " black men need to take the lives of women seriously" and in all this reactions I doubt if anybody really paid attention to why Trump was gaining ground among black communities, some Americans had said they had more money under Trump's tenure than under biden's, if they had paid attention to why these ground were shifting they would now be where they are today, even among Latino communities which are the most antagonised as regard illegal migration, Trump still got an increased vote from them, I feel Trump's victory is a sign that America is saying something and the democrats aren't listening enough, you can say his victory was due to sexism, but one thing to note if every woman had voted for Kamala she would have won, you can say Trump's victory is due to racism but if every immigrants or almost all had voted against him he wouldn't be president- elect, I just feel the democrats need to realign the way it relates with americans and listen more, people are more than just race, gender. |

cococandy: America’s far left is comparable to centrist or at most center left in other developed nations. The things the right wing complain about as extreme left is already existing in other developed countries and we’re just lagging behind. I slightly disagree on this, america's left, I won't describe as centrist left I saw something sometime back when Biden declared Easter Sunday as an lgbtq day or something, can't recall the details, then you have the x passport where those who identify as genderless, then you have the decree or ruling where trans men and women gets to share a bathroom, or prison cell with imnates, I saw something in the news when a trans female impregnated several female inmate she was serving sentence with, then there was a push for trans female athlete comepeting in female sports, and another reason why I won't describe the democrats as moderate left is the way it reacts to issues relating to race, gender and sexuality, I get it that both party use it for political benefits, most nations have had it's fear of far right candidate, Italy is currently being led by a right wing candidate, France had one in the last election, even the UK had a conservative govt just recently one thing you would notice about these nations is the same anti immigration, nationalism drive, but you won't see the leftist opposition demonizing these moves so fervently the way the democrats do. |

cococandy: I’m glad you’re not coming at it from a know it all position so I’m happy to share some information and facts with you
Many republican states do not support abortion even at the risk to a woman’s life, incest or teenage children raped by grown men. And to make matters worse they’re proposing bills to ban access to contraceptives which everyone should be pushing for if we want to prevent pregnancies/abortions.
Biden’s administration receives a lot of flack on immigration because they’re pursuing more humane ways of dealing with it rather than locking up people in cages and some of the inhumane practices of Trump’s administration.
Good point on the immigrant votes and Democratic Party. A perfect case of people climbing up and pulling the ladder so others can’t get up. Time will tell. that's why in my personal conversations among my everyday offline folks I will always say the left wing are too far left and the right wing politicians are too far right, a middle ground, is all America needs, a ban on access to contraceptive is insensitive, and I never even knew such was in existence. |

cococandy: It dominates the political conversations because that what you guys and republicans talk about.
Y’all been told a million times what the democrat agenda is. There are websites to read up on it. Her economic plans that were praised by Nobel laureates as the best they’ve seen in a while. Her plan for healthcare and capping prescription drug prices. Plans for new home buyers. Plans to cut corporate price gouging that’s helping the inflation. So many things to talk about and they do talk about it but once yall hear someone mention gay people, your reasoning flies out the window.
Democrats do not dominate political conversation with talk about gay people’s rights. Republicans bring it up every time to distract you people from the fact that they don’t have plans. They never do. In every election they’re always looking out for the billionaires. They know that if you’re distracted, you won’t notice that you’re being scammed. So they’ll bring this ish up each and every time and y’all fall for it like cats distracted by a red dot.
LGBTQ people’s issues isn’t even in the priority of America’s problems at all. You’ll never meet anyone in real life worried about this. Because it’s mostly a non issue.
Now that Trump won, nothing is going to happen about them. They’ll exist just like they have always existed. No kids were being forcefully transitioned in schools like he blatantly claimed. There’s nothing that is going to change about that. But he’ll tell you he’s solved the problem now that he’s president elect. And you’ll believe it.
The only thing that’ll change is that Elon (the crass unbeliever), Thiel (the gay godfather)and the other billionaires who just bought themselves a presidency will have more control and power than they ever had. The chances that we ever get our country back from them will be slim to none
It breaks my heart to see seemly smart people get bamboozled so cheaply and so publicly with their faith and beliefs. It’s like the Truman Show. ok I am not an American so my opinion and understanding of things might be limited, I am not much of a fan of the republican party either, but the defeat of Kamala harris is not surprising to me, she is obviously more refined than Trump in terms of attitude and class, but the democrats/ Biden have not done well for the economy, immigration is an issue, yes Trump may exaggerate the problem or be racist about it, but it doesn't deny the fact that illegal migration is a big threat not just to america, another issue is the abortion right, yes we agree with the my body, my choice movement as it regards to rape, incest or health grounds but you can't expect everyone to just support the indiscriminate killing of the unborn, I like the democrats for giving a platform for minorities and immigrants community to lead and grow but that's just it, another thing worthy of note is the fact that nations that have the most immigrants population in the US come from conservative nations, like India, China, Nigeria, so in the long run I am looking at the future of the democratic party and if they can continue to get the votes of immigrants from these communities whose values and that of their home countries are a sharp contrast to that of the democrats. |

America is not shit hole nations, Where leaders are supreme. this is even the more reason why I dislike the wokeism of the democratic party, America already has gay rights why can't the democratic party focus on other things yet their priority is gay, transgender, brainwashing kids to transition from male to females, Germany, canada, the UK and other Western nations have gay rights also but you don't see it dominating their political conversations or policies. |

Therefore, you stand to make ₦200,000 annually or ₦16,600 monthly. This is better than risking your money in the hand of of today's get-rich-quick youths. They will run your money aground. Please, avoid the story that touches. the stanbic and fnbquest thing, is it done at any stanbic/ first bank branch? Also the money market fund is there a risk involved in any way or the 20 percent annual return is permanent? Does the bank bear the total risk for wrong investment or economic downturn? Thanks. |

If we check now, you are from Ebonyi or one of those funny states that should normally be a local government. what the guy said still makes sense, if funding is the issue why not borrow to finance the project, afterall the federal govt has been borrowing billions of dollars, if Lagos were to borrow to finance the project with let's say a little interest, in the end when the project starts generating revenue the govt gets its investment back gradually, than giving such a lucrative business to a foreign entity when revenues are being generated it would be flown outside Nigeria. |

So many people will see your post and actually think this is based on experienced first hand information. From my recent travel experience, the list should includes: FCT, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Kano, Kaduna, Ebonyi, Borno, Gombe, Adamawa and Enugu State.
Most people from the south do not travel to the North and have no idea how good the road network in this states are. The roads in Nasarawa and Jigawa are better than that of Lagos and Ogun State. Oyo State has greatly improved as well, but these states I mentioned have better roads in their Capital. I have heard that some northern states have good roads, but one thing you also need to note, which I don't know if the statistics took into consideration, is how well spread is the urban centre, like Lagos for example almost everywhere is an urban area, so almost every road needs to be in good shape, now if you ten try to compare say a state in which less than 20 percent is urban, I think the comparison won't be fair. |
