PoliticsRe: Ganduje To Northern Politicians: Drop Your 2027 Presidential Ambitions by Shattuck(m): 8:43am On Feb 12, 2025
AMINDA:
I am a big fan and student of his school of leadership and unapologetically so. He alone made me mobilise and vote for Tinubu in 2023 and to see the same people he worked for trying to rewrite history and make him the villain rubs me off the wrong way. I assure you, he doesn't know me nor have we ever met. There are millions like me, I assure you. You seem to underestimate the amount of supporters that the President lost with the shabby treatment of Elrufai. Most are only quiet for now.
ok oh, if you say so, but I doubt if any Nigerian politician have a school of leadership that anyone should emulate, I agree though Tinubu did humiliate el rufai.
PoliticsRe: Ganduje To Northern Politicians: Drop Your 2027 Presidential Ambitions by Shattuck(m): 5:57am On Feb 12, 2025
AMINDA:
The Northern politicians Tinubu has surrounded himself with are not inspiring and can barely mobilise northern voters to queue again behind the ticket in 2027. They simply lack the charisma. This was what HRH Sanusi Lamido Sanusi was trying to tell the President recently but he was met with insults. Whether you admit or not, losing Elrufai will turn out to be a strategic mistake.

Just a few words from Elrufai and the whole polity is already in turmoil. Whoever says he's irrelevant is just lieing to himself. The master strategist should have learned to keep friends close and "enemies" even closer, that is if he considered Elrufai an enemy. Elrufai posed no direct threat to Tinubu before now, not until he was embarrassed and continuously hounded. He only posed a threat to fellow Northern APC politicians who are scheming for 2031. The President should have remained neutral and not pick a side, just as Buhari did. Elrufai deserved that. At this point, he has nothing to lose.
seems you are on el rufai's payroll, strange all your contribution is about el rufai.

cheesy

I thought El-Rufai said he's moved on

Thought he said he was pointblank told PBAT he wasnt interested in a Ministerial post

So why this obsession and childish antics

Svoboda, I agree he helped Tinubu into power, but at this rate, if any Tinubu loyalist attacks Mallam, then he shouldnt be called a betrayer or whatever

He's now playing it the mud and whatever attack he gets is justifiable
see how scared the Ronu miscreants are to attack el rufai.

GboyegaD:
The challenge with people like you who follow modern news. Elon Musk like Trump was a core Democrat and only shifted base because they knew what people wanted to hear. Elon Musk's allegiance changed mainly because of his transgendered child and all he is doing is a way of expressing his pain. People like that in my opinion shouldn't be taken serious.
I think the Democratic party has to reform itself, part of me kinda like the Democratic party as I think they are more humane, but there is still another part that can't just subscribe to all or most of what it stands for.

Pls direct your advise to my own people from SE in NL they always start tribalism name callings and when others gives it back to them they started claiming victim and marginalisation cry will start or you started hearing Yoruba hate igbo, Bini hate igbo, Hausa hate igbo shit.

Yorubs, Edo, Ijaw have done exceedingly well in so many things outside the country and you won't hear any noise but the moment anybody from SE do just little thing good outside the country the next you will be hearing is igbo amaka, without us nobody else, igbo first, we own the country, we these we that then online trolls will start. I bet you if this young dude Moronfoluwa is igbo some will still attack him for holding Nigeria flag and not Biafra flag.
while I support your message totally, it is also worthy to note that of recent the SW folks have been heavy on chest beating and trolling other ethnic groups too, maybe you aren't one of them but they have been pretty loud these days too.

PoliticsRe: All We Need Is One More State For The South East - Ozekhome To Reps by Shattuck(m): 6:03am On Feb 10, 2025
AndroBlaze:
Nigerians are just noisemakers and wasteful people.

Why not take one state from the North and add it to the South to balance the equation as 18+ 18.....are you telling me with all the so called professors we have someone cannot suggest something like adding Benue state to SE and pulling Taraba from NW back to middlebelt.....we are just a country populated with empty vessels.
the call for the creation of more state, is influenced more by ethnic sentiments rather than regional sentiments, the south east(igbos) want one more states in their region, do you think adding benue who aren't igbos to the south east makes sense, while I do agree than some of these states declared as northern states shouldn't be so, but these are secondary
issues, with regard to creation of states the primary concern is bringing tribal and ethnic people under an umbrella ( state) or under an umbrella (region) as in the call by the south east.
Foreign AffairsRe: Trump Imposes Sanctions On South Africa Over Genocide Case Against Israel. by Shattuck(m): 6:27pm On Feb 08, 2025
JuanDeDios:
I understand shared struggle. I just don't think it's in their NATIONAL INTEREST to go head-on against the US when their position isn't going to make much difference anyway. Note that while supporting the Palestinians who're being mass-murdered by the Israelis (with clear provocation), they're tacitly on the side of Putin, who's mass-murdering Ukrainians (without clear provocation). Because the USSR (whose authority is inherited by Russia but which the Ukraine was also a part of) supported them during apartheid. So history is all that matters?

Well, I hope it all works out well for everyone in the end.
they aren't head on with the US, it is the Trump who just decided to interfere due to its alliance with Isreal, I hope south Africa can navigate this.
Foreign AffairsRe: Trump Imposes Sanctions On South Africa Over Genocide Case Against Israel. by Shattuck(m): 2:47pm On Feb 08, 2025
JuanDeDios:
Immune from US sanctions? Hehehe.

I strongly disagree with Trump's bullying, but South Africa made a blunder jumping in head first into matters of this nature. There is useful suffering, then there is useless suffering. South Africa's intervention isn't going to save the Palestinians.
you can't really blame south Africa for standing for something, you know during apertheid Palestine supported south africa's ANC in it's struggle and fight for liberation, it is only fair that south africa entend same support, considering their shared struggle against apertheid.

TOPCRUISE:
The EFCC chairman have tried his best. Those condemning him are just been tribalistic, nepotistic and political.
Those Nigerians that defend corrupt leaders but complain about corruption are so much on this forum especially on first page of any corruption scandal.
When the authorities arrest and prosecute these corrupt leaders these set of people rally behind them calling their arrest political and crying the authorities are witch hunting.
tried his best how, why is Betta edu not being persecuted despite overwhelming evidence of grand theft, what about the ganduje case, you can't totally fault Nigerians for calling certain arrest political because it actually is even though I don't support any politician undergoing prosecution, The efcc chairman is kinda worse than his predecessors because he is so hypocritical.

I don't know why people are not factoring what you wrote here in their permutations or is that how they don't rate Nigerians or they fill the people don't matter in selecting the leadership
With the abysmal performance of Tinubu so far ,the people eye has opened and I think it not going to be business as usual
we need to also factor in now the nation's already compromised institutions also, overall I think it's too pedestrian to just limit the outcome of the next election to just political friends and foes.
PoliticsRe: APC Paid Women For Demonstrations Against Jonathan’s Government - Amaechi by Shattuck(m): 6:49pm On Feb 01, 2025
Deadlytruth:
See how you distort facts? If anything, Oshiomhole was even in support of Jonathan over the removal. In fact Oshiomhole, despite being in the opposition, was the only governor that openly came out in public to defend Jonathan over the subsidy removal in 2012. None of the PDP governors from the SE or SS was bold enough to do what Oshiomhole did and none of you Jonathan fans could call them out.
Then where did you ever see Buhari in the streets protesting against the subsidy removal back then? It was only after he became the APC flag bearer in 2015 that he criticized subsidy in response to journalists' question during a press interview. Then when did Tinubu enter the streets to protest against subsidy? Most of you GEJ supporters just look for any means possible to demonize Oshiomhole and Tinubu just for political correctness.
you are the only one here trying to distort fact, maybe you don't know what the occupy Nigeria and ojota protest was all about, didn't you see tinubu, oshiomhole, soyinka, protesting against subsidy removal, every adult Nigerian knows this, I wonder how you think you can spin the narrative.

Clueless oaf

If we want to talk about DEI being a bad thing, the fact that an unqualified imp like him is president , voted by similar minded people like him should be a concern for how much value we place on qualifications. He’s not near qualified to even be a representative.
lol he is just trying to change the narrative as quickly as possible, no matter how hard he tries, the firing of key aviation staff does not help him achieve that, no matter how Hard he tries.

University education in public institutions is highly subsidized. The actual cost of training one student runs into millions annually. But the nigerian government's subsidy on education which is not something they shout about allows citizens get cheap tertiary education unlike in so called saner clime where it is far more expensive.

There was subsidy on dollar until it was removed by this administration, there was petroleum subsidy which has also been removed and there is subsidy on electricity which I don't know whether is still existent.

Before you ask questions like this, I think you should first tell us how much tax you pay to government coffers annually, tell us how up to date you are in paying for PHCN (NEPA) bills, which will be the basis of any entitlement mentality.
the question isn't about Nigeria's governance it's about the Tinubu administration, so talking about cheap education, cheap electricity when in fact the prices of these thing has gone really high under the Tinubu administration, I don't think you understand the question.

brainless pple always trying so hard to rewrite history to dre favour. Image talking Abt and intension base on rumour to d worst coupe in Nigerian history dat led to a civil war.
the brainless people are definitely the ones who think that a coup which killed about 21 people was the worst coup, I have heard the history of the civil war, there is a desperate attempt by the southwest to act like they are the victims of this story, let's agree it was an igbo coup, let's agree the killing of leaders of other region except the Eastern leaders was wrong, but beyond all that this is the true picture for me, when the counter coup occured and aguiyi ironsi was killed and the coup plotters that was justice enough, the military didn't stop at that they went also and murdered hundred of soldiers of Eastern origin who weren't even a part of the coup for me this was terribly wrong, the worst part of it for me which is the highlight of the entire story , was the killing of thousands of civilians of Eastern origin, because of the actions of a coup by military officers, these thousand of igbos which later became millions of death was the highlight of the entire incident, you guys can try to rewrite history by claiming the killing of less than 20 political leaders was worse than killing innocent unarmed civilians for just being igbo, and now trying to gaslight the south east, every right thinking individual should know that the action of the counter coup was extremely out of proportion and evil, I figured you are a yoruba man, would you feel it is justified if Tinubu makes a wrong action for your entire ethnic group to be mass masscared wether they are in govt or not just because of the actions of a fellow yoruba man, no be everything be banter sometimes we use our brain, Nigeria owes the igbos an apology for the mass massacre and ethnic cleansing of innocent igbos, the mass massacre is the bigger picture for me. And btw the Jan 15 was not the bloodiest coup in Nigeria's history.

The President has reintroduced history in schools and made it compulsory, so shall we talk history?.
The irony is that those people who struck FIRST without any provocation are the ones crying to be the victims today. According to FFK, let's forget the past, let's move on and forgive but then again, have the perpetrators ever sought for forgiveness?.
Okay, let's move on, but are the perpetrators till date not persistent with same agenda of occupation of all minorities of SS and their lands without respect for their respective identity, drawing them into a map and calling all of them Biafrans as against their wish, should we move on?
Okay, let's move on but have they moved on from the election loss?, till today, they wish the country burn except their own is in power. They can't move on but FFK is asking those whose leaders, families, fathers, mothers, grandparents, great grandparents, families were murdered in cold blood should forget the past when the closure they are seeking for has not been granted them. FFK is lucky, his family was spared, he could have been different if his father was equally murdered before his very own eyes as a little boy. FFK has changed with age, we know what he could have said 5, 10 years ago.
The perpetrators are still holding firm to the 1966 agenda of domination, so, how do we move on?.
look at the insensitive on display, were the innocent over 30 thousand civillians killed unjustly by the Nigerian troops, a part of the coup, were the over 3 million who died a part of the coup, yes as regrettable as the coup of Jan 15 was, it was barbaric but the mass murder of innocent people can never be justified if anyone is to apologize it should be the Nigerian military, but you won't agree because of your ethnic hatred for the igbos, the counter coup might have been justified by go about killing innocent civilians in thousands and millions just because they share same ethnic group with those who killed your polical leaders that was very wrong, and now folks still use this to gaslight the igbos when they were the victims on the biggest injustice and inhumanity in Nigeria's history. I am not igbo but yet when I see so many people try to revisit the civil war history and blame the entire igbo ethnic group for it, I just see it as devilish and evil, the igbos were the biggest casualty of those events and if anyone should apologize it should be the Nigerian state for mass murder of fellow Nigerian civilian citizens due to ethnic hate.

Then today you scream of nepotism?

Anyways was it only azikiwe that traveled out?

Moreover why the call for Biafra after the counter coup ?

Why wasn’t it the northerners staging the coup since the igbos dominated all major sectors?

The coup was clear and definitely spelt out in the meaning of IBO which is I Before Others.

What lead to the greed was because of the power handed the north so the only way was to kill all the northern leaders and their Yoruba counterparts.

Period.

You can’t rewrite history we already know.
junior military officers carried out a coup and then you blame the entire ethnic group who weren't consulted before the coup, so by your thinking the entire yoruba ethnic group should be blamed and punished for whatever decision Tinubu makes? Furthermore by your list the north was majorly at the receiving end but the north does not carry this issue on their head the way the south west does, and the only reason why you came to that conclusion is because you are already a bigot and your thinking will always be prejudiced, would you hold the same ethnic colouration on the people ( north) who annulled june 12 or who imprisoned MKO guess not, the military staged a coup, ordinary igbos paid for it with the lives civillians who weren't in the military who had no idea of a planned coup, children were starved to death by the Nigerian govt and for some reason the Ronu folks still think they are the victims, recently we saw the killings by the military in okuama community, the army is controlled by a yoruba, same with the presidency, now if the people of that community of okuama decide to go and attack youruba communities in the south west would hold the same opinion, it's crazy how grown men think.
