It might giveyou an added advantage though It makes no difference if/when you get the job.
An applicant who doesn't have up to five years relevant experience will still be placed on Grade 8 (like a fresh graduate)even if he has MSc.

I think this is one of the reasons most gurus decided to into ghost mode. Someone would say he/she has read from part 1 to 5 and still come and ask for a good hospital/doc in Houston Texas... There is a way you can confirm if the SSN is being used online... Someone posted a link to it back then, you'll have to search wayback or hope the person replies you again. I think you can also flag/report the SSN as compromised via the same means (web)

You are already planning accommodation when you haven't even been given the job, not to talk of knowing which state you'll be posted to . I admire your faith sha. Anyways, rent in V.I is like from 1.8M upwards; fully furnished, serviced etc can cost like 4/5M. An alright place in surulere is from N600k. Yaba/Ebute Metta is slightly cheaper than Surulere and also not to far from V.I. You can also consider the lekki/ajah axis.

Bear this in mind tho, if you are posted to some offshore facility or some other location in Lagos your proximity to the DPR office in VI would be of no consequence since your daily commute wont be to there.

This is incorrect. DPR does not have offices in every state. @Walush analysis is spot on...
By the way, this is the kind of information prospective candidates of the interview stage should avail themselves off. You should at least be able to name some states where their offices are

and you can be posted to work in any state regardless of where you presently reside

Well, about the dates for the next step; DPR new recruits usually resume in the first quarter of the year so if its to be same for this group and if they are to resume next year, the interviews should probably be conducted by nov/dec this year. If not....

Housing allowance 946,350naira per annum
Salary- 1million per annum and
Feeding allowance-- 300,000naira per annum.

Do you think it'll make any sense to take the risk and wait for DPR? I heard they MAY pay more and then, job security. By the way sir, how much really is the salary for GT Mechanical Engineer and any housing benefits?

To which I responded- Salary is over 133k per month and as for housing allowance, I'm not sure they pay that to GT however for entry level, it maybe over one million. Then I was told there maybe other allowances.

Even though DPR pays better than this her offer, a bird in hand is still far far better than two dozen in the bush.
Many people on this forum would jump at that her offer; i mean we are talking about N2million per year

You mean the Head of Corporate Services, Lagos whom the Head of Human Resources reports to. I'm sure the Director also knows too sha

By the way, the Head of Human Resources is also based in Lagos as the DPR Headquarters is in Lagos. The Abuja office is just a zonal office.
