UnimkeAk: U think dpr is npower. Is ur common commisioner son(think , this is the lowest of politicak appointees) in ur state applying for npower.
Please grow up... All the slots have been taken. And Dont think our politicians wards are dullards, the are actually very bright and top notched, given the high levels of education and exposure. Probabily even on merit , the would still outshine most persons.
But still no juicy govt job has ever been on merit in this country, even in the 80's or 70's, thats y the juicest jobs have always been reserved. Its just amazing how people would just come hear and be spewing rubbish with all confidence |

jozivill: guys here is the plain truth this recruitment is only a formality, back door recruitment is already on, some people have already been given appointment letters whether you choose to believe or not. So my point is this; whether you have written the test or not, as long as your application status did not display rejected, you are still in the game especially based on your personal logistics, you know what I mean! sigh...., Please let the people that have collected the so-called appointment letter tell you when they are to resume or have they started work already...?? usqoh: @Serious minded people only. The following things will happen if the source I got is genuine:
a. Every candidate must score at least above average mark of 23. (51.1%) to be eligible for next stage. Shortlisting at this stage does not depend on experience hire or graduate trainee nor your state or course. Only d score
b. The next stage is d skill test. Shortlisting at this stage will not only take into account your score but also state, category, course and d no of positions.
c. The last stage of the recruitment is interview.
Though there will b political slot, nepotism and fallacy in d recruitment, however a very good amount of people will get d scholarship by merit. DSSHQ: Someone who I think knows alot about this recruitment said the same thing. So I believe this.He further said the average could be high as 75% in order to reduce the number of candidates for the next stage. He said alot has been spent on the current stage and there is need to prune down the number. The stages as outlined by usqoh are correct but I heard nearly the same cutoff scores as @DSSHQ which is 70% |

I cant believe that you people just wasted 3-4 pages of this thread arguing about sharing questions or not. Do you people think that DPR would be stupid enough not to know that people would share the type of questions they encountered? IN this social media age....?? When its not as if everyone is writing on the same day. I'm sure they would have prepared for this and used a large pool of questions.
I hope you all know that the recruitment is based on an applicants total scores over 3stages: 2 tests and 1 Interview. If merit is strictly followed, everyone that gets above the pass mark in the first test would write the 2nd test. The second test would prob be conducted in one day and should be discipline/level based so the alluded 'advantage' is whittled down there. Even if some pple manage to get expo there, how would they get any advantage during the interview...
Lets focus on more important things and leave DPR to worry about the lapses in their recruitment process. |

Swittease: Thanks alot; I will try that You dont need to do all that..... Just go to the center and explain yourself. You should be allowed to write the test. Same time happened to PrinceAlPacino and here is his post @AlwaysUltrapad: You should delete that your advise to her before other people start getting ideas PrinceAlPacino: Good Evening All,
Thanks for the advise and encouragement late last night. On the unannounced change of date, I had to go the center here in PHC. I got there after 8am and explained myself at the gate. I met about 40+persons who had similar challenge. I must appreciate the team in PHC; they were very courteous, kind-hearted, patient and understanding.
In a nutshell, the unannounced change of date is not much of a big deal. If you are affected, try to prepare and be at your supposed venue as soon as possible (tomorrow or next). Little snippets that got to my ears is that the tests 'MAY' be concluded on Thursday in Port Harcourt. I can not say for other states.
For those that thought I was stupid for being astonished and worried about the sudden unannounced change of date, I am sorry, I should have checked my profile as often as I checked my e-mail. |

Hiculis: Who gave u that wrong information my dear, masters degree is always an added advantage 4 either GT or EH. You are the one with the wrong info.. DPR doesnt care about your Masters Degree during application. If you like have 2 Masters with no work experience, if you scale thru & are employed you'll still be on the same staff level with someone who just graduated. The Masters is only an advantage when you have joined their workforce and they are choosing people for some projects/special assignments |

DonFreshmoney: Cut the long story short. I received the mail for the aptitude test for 26th at Maitama Abuja. But I am already working for Zenith Bank. Is It advisable to go for the test? Also I already have a PhD full tuition scholarship in Melbourne Australia starting January 2018. Am confused, cos zenith bank wouldn't allow me to write DPR test on that day, also is it advisable to quit any job (zenith , DPR) to go for PHD. Please let me know. Thanks Your ultimate goal here should be going for your PhD, a full scholarship isnt something to belittle at all esp in Australia which is presently giving out permanent residency anyhow. So its most likely that after your PhD, you'll file for permanent residency and be given. In case you don't get Aus residency, you'll still have to come back to Nigeria and start looking for a job cos I'm not sure Zenith Bank would keep a space for you. (I'm sure you were going to resign b4 going to Aus anyway). My advise for you is to go for the DPR test, you can always make up a story for your boss at Zenith(That is if you dont meet him at the DPR test center ). The last recruitment for DPR dragged on for 3years and I know some successful applicants then who had gotten their masters during the period. I also know someone who left his masters in the UK to resume at DPR; he deferred a semester, resumed and then applied for study leave after his confirmation to go and complete his masters. These are options that DPR gives you and Zenith wouldnt. With DPR you still have options for your Phd which Zenith wont give you |

michnib: Hi,
I will like to ask if anyone here has used a midwife birth center for child birth. We had our first child at Delsol with no complications, paid all bills. A friend in El Paso Texas recently told of this option and the fee appears to propose huge savings, though we were considering Chicago for the birth but the distance of the accommodation to the hospital seems far from google map (over an hour drive).
Please I will need your advise / direction on this.
Cheers. Birth centers have been discussed repeatedly on this forum. The general consensus is to keep away from them regardless of the cost savings. For more info, just search for 'birth center' in the search bar on the top of this page and then limit the search to the travel section. |

josh050588: Hello Great people
Myself and wife have been reading previous posts becuase we plan to go to the US late august for vacation with hemmingsway safari resort, and then i would return after 2 weeks but she would stay back to have our first baby (just got married in december but they advised we apply as tourists, since we have a ticket for 2weeks holiday stay in orlando and then my wife can stay back at US to have our child.
Am a little bit skeptical because my wife has a virgin passport, currently awaiting to do her housejob (medical career) and currently a sit at home housewife.
We already paid for our Vacation visa fee B1/B2.
We intend to stay in atlanta, because we have a family friend there for child birth.
How do we approach this visa interview?
my wife would be 18weeks when we go to the embassy.
our travel agency advice that i make an id card, that she works for my private company as a doctor, to show local ties.
BUT i JUST WANT TO TELL them as it is...since i have the funds and my wife would definitely return to do her housejob to complete her medical career. we are planning to travel together.
I would have prefered Houston but no accomodation.
Looking forward to an expert advice. Thanks *sigh* Why are travel agents so full of lies like this...??? @josh050558 If you manufacture a job for your wife and she is now asked to show her payslips or statement of account with salary inputs... How do you do that..?? More lies...?? Getting caught in a lie by the consular officer could seriously jeopardize your chances in future interviews. From other's posts you would see that a lot of people have been granted visas for childbirth even though they had no previous travel experience and they said the truth. I would advise you to go with your gut instinct and SAY IT AS IT IS!! I would have preferred if your wife went for the interview by herself so that she could use you as her tie back home but since you've scheduled it together, let's hope your travel history covers 4 her. Couples like yours have been known to be successful together too. Also, try and make sure you fill your forms yourself b4 those ur agents fill rubbish on your behalf |

justwise: I really hope that she does that or somebody else that knows the process because this idea of using contact within the embassy to get VOA will not work here.
The passport booklet is not available but when you contact the insider within the embassy the booklet becomes available? We need to stop feeding those corrupt Nigerian embassy workers VOA is not processed by the embassy. Its processed by the Nigerian Immigration Service at their HQ in Abuja. olajay5: Sorry, I think you misunderstood me. I didn't mean unborn child. How can one get passport for an unborn child in the first place? What I meant is that my wife already gave birth in the US and I am due to join her later to return to Nigeria together. Is there any problem if I get the passport here and take it along with me. As per passport photograph, I already have that and every other details. Okay, I understand now... I can see you've gotten your answer also. |

olajay5: Dear all,
Following the scarcity of Nigerian passport from abroad, is it possible to get the Nigerian passport for my LO in Nigeria and take it along with me to the US for her use to return to Nigeria? Has anybody tried this option? I read people now find it difficult to process emergency travel certificate (ETC), VOA too seems not to be readily available unless you know someone to help you out (as @desouls has helped many here). Quite a number of people are asking for @desouls contact while some are getting frustrated.
Please can @desouls give a step-by-step guide to be taken to process the VOA without necessarily calling for his/her contact anytime anybody wants to process the VOA.
Thank you I'm sorry but I cant make sense out of the bolded, do you mean procuring a Nigerian passport for a yet unborn child.... Which/whose passport photograph are you going to put on it...?? or do you think Nigerian Immigration would give you an Intl passport without a photograph on it?? ayam not understanding ooo... plus if the Nigerian passport booklet is still scarce & you cant get the ETC or VOA, you can still apply for a Nigerian Visa from the embassy. Eddie & Tanko could help with that or you can do that yourself if there is a Nigerian embassy in your city |
