Meanwhile, glory to God, got my visa for Australia coupled with a work permit 2 days ago. Should I get this DPR gig, I intend on staying for it whether the salary big or small. Lol. Meanwhile, if anyone has good some good advise with respect to what they think might pay off better on the long term, I'm more than willing to hear.

That figure is just the basic salary.
The next item talks about your fringe benefits which are not included in the summation of the basic salary. Your total annual benefits could be x2 or x3 the basic salary

Sorry to inform you, but dpr hasn’t been the cause of your ‘disappointments’ This is because they have never announced an official date for sharing APLs & fail to meet up.... Your disappointments stems from believing the words of some unknown fellows on a faceless blog... People who are in no way affiliated with dpr or the recruitment process but y’all choose to believe every drop of piffle that they spew forth even though they have been continuously been proved wrong. Your disappointments & HBP are therefore self induced but what do I know..... Make una continue, it’s obviously not enough yet

To those that are patiently waiting for the possible dates to come and go, please don’t waste your precious time hoping for that to happen rather channel your energy towards praying to the Almighty to be among the successful ones. Don’t be too concerned about the resumption date when you not sure of making the final list. I would like to thank @chideozi for your post that addressed this issue.

I repeat again, the information I provide is subject to debate and prove your point by providing the house with updates. They actually don’t need to find Alcohol in your blood. I think the ct or ultrasound can show the condition of your liver, so they might be able to determine the level of your drinking ..

I don’t think the tests are discriminatory, they might just be to know your health status and how suitable you are for the job... For eg someone with defective eyesight or so won’t be posted offshore etc

Go for your job...differ your award till next year and apply for study leave after one year.

The only problem I see with that is not knowing whether you'll be granted study leave just after a year of working.

Weigh your options carefully and pray for guidance...Congrats.

@bravo121 This is the best advise..., most esp if your new job is a Federal Govt job (like NPA ).. They would be more likely to grant ur study leave since you are being sponsored by another Fed govt agency. Congratulations on both fronts

When they say majority is on merit...., they do not mean 100%. Surely there would be a couple that use connection to make it on the list but this recruitment won’t be as bad as the CBN one. What I heard was that the OND recruitment list was made up of mainly connected people so that this one would be majorly on merit. And for those that are doubting ow it’s possible, I heard that Shakur is very stubborn when he wants to be and has strong backing... He is also near retirement age so he has nothin to fear from any Oga at the top

When I got my current job (Its a FG job) the department/office i was posted to wasnt on the appointment letter, which i assume is the case with all/most govt parastatals. Rather I was issued another letter which read ‘posting letter’. These people need to try harder, if we cant figure all these out then we shouldnt be hoping to work at DPR

Posting letter comes along with APL.
You'll resume directly to the location you are posted to, be inducted by the zonal/field office and get OTJ training for a couple of months before proceeding for training in batches at a designated training center.

So walkinglegend, how come your friend is still awaiting her own posting letter.....

Appointment letters are signed by the Head of Human Resources or Head Coporate Services on behalf of the Director...

and I don’t know if anyone of you has ever seen a document signed by the current director, but he normally signs his name as M.D.B LADAN on official documents
