It has been officially announced the best team of CONMEBOL Copa America Brasil 2019 which is selected by the Technical Study Group (GET).


As the champions of 2019 Copa America, 5 Brazil players are included (Alisson, Dani Alves, Thiago Silva, Arthur & Everton).

Guerrero & Trauco also in the best XI as members of runner-up Peru with only 1 Argentina player (Paredes) being selected in.

Gimenez, Vidal & James Rodriguez are also in the XI.

It is noticeable that Messi, Coutinho, Sanchez, Jesus & Laurato are not selected in this XI.

Grudge match as Super Eagles battle Cameroon for AFCON quarter-final ticket It is said when two elephants fight, it is the grass that suffers. The same scenario will play out this evening when the three time African champions, the Super Eagles of Nigeria battle five time champions, the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon. Without doubt, pitch of the 20,000 capacity Alexandria stadium will feel the brunt when the two giants of African football battle for one of the quarter-final tickets in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.Both teams finished runner -up in their respective groups despite being rated to top, and low fire power is a constant variable in both camps with only two goals in each team’s kitty. while group B favorites the Super Eagles who were favored to have an easy ride fell 0-2 against debutants Madagascar in their last group match, the Lions of Cameroon also struggled to hold Benin Republic 0-0.







Ahead of today’s match, expectations are high that the Super Eagles would put behind them the ‘mishap’ against Madagascar and repeat their recent show of supremacy over the Cameroonians. It will be recalled that even though Cameroon have had the upper hand against Nigeria in AFCON history, the Super Eagles recently humiliated the Indomitable Lions in the race to the 2018 FIFA World Cup. The Indomitable Lions may be fast losing their claws but nobody can undermine their capacity to roar again as they hunt for their sixth AFCON title. However, a former Flying Eagles coach, John Obuh in a chat with Trust Sports expressed confidence that the Super Eagles will soar over the Lions of Cameroon. “I think it is a game that we hope to do well. In recent times, we have been overcoming Cameroon and Saturday will not be an exception. We have met several times and for those who follow football know the outcome. “They defeated us and we have also defeated them but football is becoming more scientific every day, such that the scientific part of it is more difficult than modern science. “In modern science, when you do 1+1, it gives you two but in football, it could be negative or positive where tactics and luck come together,” he said. Chairman of Enyimba FC, Felix Anyansi-Agwu who is currently in Cairo also expressed confidence that Super Eagles will beat Cameroon to reach quarter-finals. “Nigeria will win. The youngster who is favoured to start today’s match scored for Nigeria when the Super Eagles played a dramatic 1-1 draw with Cameroon at the Stade Omnisport Amadou Ahidjo in Yaounde, on Monday, September 4, 2017 on their way to the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

The former Blues midfielder who is of Nigerian descent, is presently working for the club by managing the career development of their on-loan players.

Newton is now expected to return to a role he previously had at Stamford Bridge under Roberto Di Matteo.



Lampard will bring assistants Jody Morris and Chris Jones, who both previously worked at Chelsea, with him from Derby County but the club want to add numbers to their coaching staff following the departure of Maurizio Sarri last month.

Ex-Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has returned to Juventus on a one-year contract after a season spent at Paris Saint-Germain.
The 41-year-old, who will be number two to Polish ‘keeper Wojciech Szczesny, previously spent 17 seasons with the Turin club, winning nine Serie A titles and playing three Champions League finals.
“Welcome home, Gigi!” Juve said in a statement.

Chile’s Eduardo Vargas fails hilariously with a panenka penalty in Copa America semi-finals



A ‘Panenka’ penalty is a difficult skill to pull off. It requires the perfect amount of lift to rise and dip just in time. Meanwhile, it also depends on the goalkeeper’s decision to dive the wrong way. When it is pulled off, it looks rather stunning. Eduardo Vargas attempted the same in the Copa America semis and what happened next was rather hilarious.

Eduardo Vargas, who most famously played for Napoli from 2012 to 2015, was handed the ball after Peru conceded a penalty in the Copa America semi-final. The Chilean stepped up and decided to be cheeky, attempting a ‘Panenka’ in the process.

Unfortunately for Vargas, the goalkeeper didn’t move at all, embarrassing the Chile forward in the process!

Thankfully, Vargas’s penalty didn’t have any huge ramifications for Chile, who were already trailing Peru by three goals with just a minute of stoppage time left to play.

Los Incas were handed the lead in the twenty-first minute by Edison Flores before a goalkeeping error allowed Yoshimar Yotun to double the advantage at minute thirty-eight. Paulo Guerrero applied gloss to the scoreline just past the ninety-minute mark to give Peru an unassailable lead.

Peru will now meet Brazil in the 2019 Copa America final after the Selecao beat rivals Argentina in the other semi-final.

Let me analyze this whole thing to you. First and foremost it was a planned work. This lady came into the mans house 10pm all by herself, she called the police about 10 mins she got into the house, the police arrived the house less than 2 mins after the call.
