The lawmaker says Governor Amaechi’s suspension from the PDP is undemocratic. A member of the National Assembly, Dakuku Peterside, has criticised the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for suspending Chibuike Amaechi of Rivers from the party, describing the action as “undemocratic”. Mr. Peterside, who represents Opobo/Nkoro (PDP) in the House of Representatives, said in Port Harcourt on Tuesday that the suspension was a setback to the quest for true democracy. “It’s (the suspension) a huge blow to democracy and fundamentally violates the rights of an individual to associate freely, to vote and be voted for in any democratic process. “As you are already aware, the NGF is not an extension of PDP; it is not governed by the constitution of the PDP. “In any case, the suspension of Gov. Amaechi is a major impediment to PDP’s future as a party because Amaechi is one of the shining stars of the party. “He is one of what I call the show case of the party,” the lawmaker said. Victor Moses, who is having one of the best seasons of his life in football right now. Having moved from a relatively small football club in England, to one of the top 3 best in the UK & one of the best in Europe presently, in the shape of Chelsea FC of England. The young man contributed so well to his club achievements in only his first season there. Not forgetting he was also fantastic in Nigeria's Nations Cup win in South Africa earlier this year. The gist currently going on about is that contrary to his claim to have lost his parents a few years ago to sectarian riots in the Northern parts of Nigeria (Kaduna State to be more precise). That claim might well be very farfetched and totally away from the truth. According to some reports, his parents are said to be hale & hearty, very alive in Edo State of Nigeria presently. According to the old media reports Mr & Mrs Austine & Josephine Moses- supposed parents of Victor Moses, who were said to be missionaries and were supposedly killed in 2002 during the sectarian riots in Kaduna. The 11 year old had gone out to play football, only to return to a home already destroyed and parents murdered. Victor Moses hence had to travel to the UK to seek for asylum. And the rest his now history. With this new discovery now as claimed by Sunday Express of Sunday, May 26 to June 1, 2013 on their page 6. So what is the true situation of things? What does Victor Moses have to say about what has been discovered? Is this a case of doing all one could do, to seek for the golden fleece abroad? Some new revelation recently sprung up following the controversial reports that Super Eagles star and Orduspor midfielder, Yusuf Ayila, abandoned his wife and kids in Ukraine and eloped with a girlfriend. Latest information has it that there was more to this story than the ears have heard. DailyPost gathered that the mother of two who was not legally married to the ace footballer allegedly attempted to manipulate him with charms. While narrating how it all happened, Ayila said, “Firstly, I’ll like to state categorically that Gbemisola is not my legal wife as widely reported. She is the mother of my two kids. We met years back and started a casual date. “The trouble started when I asked her to bring my children for holiday in Ukraine. One day, while I lived with her, I opened Gbemi’s wardrobe in Ukraine and found different charms, including a snake inside a bottle filled with gin. “It was a confirmation of the feelers I got from family and friends that she is fetish and had been using charms on me. I felt uncomfortable living under the same roof with her. In view of this development, I told her to return to Nigeria, to which she refused. At that point, I told her, I couldn’t cope with her bad habit anymore; that she had to go back to Nigeria or I will leave the house for her. “Meanwhile, before seeing the charms in her wardrobe, she had been at loggerheads with my mother for no concrete reason. I had to abandon the house in Ukraine to get another apartment when she refused to leave. “Yet, it never stopped me from paying the house rent, even after my departure to Orduspor, Turkey, my club. I kept paying the children’s school fees and other bills and later discovered that her Visa will expire in a few months’ time. “I sent her a mail asking her to leave Ukraine and go back to Nigeria since she hadn’t anything concrete doing and yet again she refused. I sent her another mail threatening to stop paying the rent in Ukraine by the end of April. “When she refused to leave, I sent someone to collect her passport lest she tarnishes my image and career. I started hearing some unimaginable stories of her escapades with men each time I visit Nigeria, but I kept my cool. She was also reported to be having an affair with a popular Fuji musician. “She had on several occasions connived with some people to kill me, which I survived by the grace of God. For the records, I have a recorded phone conversation of that.” The football star claimed that he gives Gbemisola N1million as her monthly allowance. Nevertheless, concerning the new woman in his life, Ayila disclosed that he’s now legally married to her. He described the new woman as a very responsible, God fearing lady who is his wife and not a mistress, as claimed by Gbemisola. It is no longer news that some ladies these days use mystical means (juju) to control the lives of their men and this happens often if the man is well to do

You will never believe what happened to me yesterday in PHC, I still cant get over it. i went to the shoprite 2 pick up something to eat and as i was walking down the isle i noticed this man staring at me. I looked at him and kept walking to the front counter to pick up bottled water and a loaf of bread. As i picked them and turned to find the same man right in front of me!I tried to show him some love so i smiled and said "hi"Then i went to get a can of coke, can you believe the same man followed me? I was getting nervous and mad cos he was following me without saying anything. But i tried to stay friendly, I just said "hi", he finally responded and said "am sorry for staring but you look just like my youngest daughter".We just buried her 2weeks ago, I felt stupid for getting mad as i expressed sympathy with him. He said he was fine as he knows that his daughter was with the Lord. Then he asked me to do him a favor. i said "if I can". He said he was a bit sad that his daughter never said goodbye to him before passin on. He asked me to get in line behind him and as he left the store,i should say "goodbye dad".So that he could have some sense of closure.Though his request was weird i agreed to grant it.So as he collected his bags from the cashier and walked away,i said "bye dad".He turned and said "thanks and bye daughter".When the cashier calculated my stuff she said the total was N26,750!!!> I said "What!!! How can a bottle of N270 water N250 loaf of bread and N150 can of coke add up to N26,750?"She said your dad said u are paying for his too...Which my dad ke ? I shouted "that man is not my father ooo !! ! " I quickly ran out just in time to see the man approachin the parking lot. I ran after him screamin "excuse me ! excuse me I almost shouted Thief Mr daddy !! "he started runnin for his car as he saw me comin.I caught up with him just before he was able to shut his car door. I kept on pullin and pullin his legs!!! just like im pullin yours now!!! You too like gist sef. |
The former England captain has decided to bring the curtain down on his illustrious career despite the efforts of Paris Saint-Germain to persuade him to play on for another year but Paris Saint-Germain midfielder David Beckham has announced that he will retire from football at the end of the season. The 38-year-old only moved to the French capital on a short-term contract in January but the Parisiens were keen for the former England captain to extend his stay at the Parc des Princes for another season. However, even though Beckham played his part in PSG ending their 18-year wait for a Ligue 1 title, the midfielder has now decided to bring the curtain down on his illustrious career this summer. "I'm thankful to PSG for giving me the opportunity to continue but I feel now is the right time to finish my career, playing at the highest level," he said in a statement. "If you had told me as a young boy I would have played for and won trophies with my boyhood club Manchester United, proudly captained and played for my country over 100 times and lined up for some of the biggest clubs in the world, I would have told you it was a fantasy. "I'm fortunate to have realised those dreams. Nothing will ever completely replace playing the game I love. However, I feel like I'm starting a new adventure and I'm genuinely excited about what lies ahead. "I'm fortunate to have been given many opportunities throughout my career and now I feel it's my time to give back." Beckham has established himself as one of the most recognisable faces in sport during a remarkable career that has spanned two decades. He made his name at Manchester United, winning six Premier League titles, two FA Cups and one Champions League with the Red Devils before joining Real Madrid in 2003. Beckham lifted La Liga in his final season at the Santiago Bernabeu before shocking the footballing world by moving to LA Galaxy, with whom he won two MLS Cups. Perhaps more significantly, though, he played a massive role in boosting football’s popularity in the United States. After two loan spells with AC Milan during his time in America, he eventually returned to Europe earlier this year with PSG, picking another domestic championship to become the first Englishman to win titles in four different countries. In his homeland, though, he will probably best be remembered for his captaincy of the national team, and the trademark free kick against Greece which secured his country's qualification for the 2002 World Cup. "I'm honored to represent England both on and off the pitch," he enthused. "I want to thank all my team-mates, the great managers that I had the pleasure of learning from. "I also want to thank the fans who have all supported me and given me the strength to succeed." Beckham's final two outings are likely to come against Brest, at the Parc des Princes on Saturday, and away to Lorient, on May 25. Ligue 1 : David Beckham (Evian TG vs Paris SG)
