That is impossible. It may seem so yo you because you are native speaker, even speakers sef have trouble reading Yoruba. If you can't teach him to pronounce these words, I am sorry it is kinda futile. Emperessnaughty: |

According to you, ugliness equals lack of class. You must be really smart NOT and how dare you talk about beauty, did they choose their faces themselves or what? Unfortunately for you, there is nothing about Annie shows whether she is classy or not. She hasn't even been able to get it right in movies. It is your bad luck that he didn't choose you desire your beauty. You don't have to hate on these women. Despite their ‘ugliness', he chose to lay with them and their kids stew beautiful. smileysmiley: |

Maybe the one that has her shop in front of her house All business women that I know of, the iya olojas, the ones travel to buy goods, they get their assistant to cook, wash etc. Their assistants take care of the domestic chores. They hardly leave their assistants alone at the shop. It is something they wouldn't do just like that. Go to Ogunpa market and see how they curse their assistants. You go fear. The reason they do this is because of financial accountability. Before you start with modern day women, the examples of the women I am talking about were/are older women who are grandmas now. To the extent that some of them get fetish to secure their assistants' loyalty, the fear that they might be ruined is that extreme. And it has happened before, so you can't really fault them for their extreme fear. I once gave an example of how my great grandma would walk to Oyo from Ijebu to buy Aso Ofi and she had to leave her family at home in Ijebu Ode. There was a story about an old woman who would travel through Sambisa to sell her goods. She is Yoruba, she was reported to be in good accord with Boko Haram members. She had a lot to say about how non-violent they were initially. She is not poor yet she chose to travel that path. Her story is exactly the same story of most female traders back in the day. This is not a modern thing at all. Those that would travel within Yoruba towns did and others travel on foot or animals to the Northern part or to Ghana, Togo and Benin. They don't just spend two days and come home. They would leave their husbands and children at home. I don't see how this is dissimilar to what is obtainable today and these are documented To the poor ones, you will expect someone who can only sell two or give cartons of fish to ignore a market day because of domestic chores? What do you think would happen to the lil customer base she has? Do you know how hard these people fight for common customers sef? Do you know what their families might go through? Will you pay for their rents etc? You really need to stop looking at things from your angle. We also have our stories. You cannot speak on our behalf if you cannot understand the full story. What exactly is wrong with you taking care of your own home? Lezzlie: |
Family / Re: I Told My Wife To Cut Her Hair by sheilak: 8:39pm On Jun 01, 2016 |
You have say you prefer natural hair but low cut. Low cut is culturally and religiously wrong. You should know this because you are the man, the mini god and the one that has the right to control and guide his wife because she is not smart. She struggled. She didn't want to but because you insisted she did what she didn't want to do. She wouldn't have struggled if she actually understood you. You are happy that she is a ‘good' wife. A good wife in your context means submissive woman even when the reasons to take such a radical action are incomprehensible and a bit da**. If she had insisted too, she can't be a good wife, can she? You sounded like she never had a choice. You are a mini-god and you know you are in charge of correcting and guiding her, since she is on wrong path she had no option than to listen to your guidance and correction. With these options of yourself, I can clearly see why she had to listen to you. You don't need ultimatum or the use of physical force to force someone to do something. Insisting on what someone should do is bad enough which can be excused however when it pertains to an ADULT body especially on the issue of hair (the significance of it to women), you simply can't INSIST. It sounded like you nagged her to cut her hair. Also, the reasons you gave are quote da***. No offense please. One day, I told my wife that I prefer the low cut to the demonic attachment. She struggled, I insisted. I thank God for my wife, very good wife . I can say boldly I am blessed with a wonderful wife. She eventually agreed. God2man: |
