And when does the country get the remaining 1.3 billion back since it was the contractor that failed to meet his obligations which necessitated the termination of the contract?

Dint blame the opposition for trying to oppose the progress of the new administration. We should excuse their anxieties cos this is their first time On the job. They ll soon calm down ko. I believe their noise will go a long way in keeping APC led govt on their feet. Needless to say, their ranting especially in trivial issues is very annoying. But leave them ko...then go learn.

Bros exactly my fears... I believe all of them are ALMOST the same, I will be more than happy to see honesty

Honesty in fiscal policies
Honesty in recruitment into government Jobs and parastatals
Honesty in helping the power and gas industry to grow etc.
Amen bro
PoliticsRe: Asset Declaration: Buhari Should Stop Being Clever By Half by shenisaac(m): 6:58am On Jun 02, 2015
anyaekekehinde:
That is not correct, you don't need any confirmation from ccb, what ccb will do is verify the information supplied for their OWN USE and NOT for public use.

what gives you the impression that they(both buhari and Osibanjo) cant declare something to the ccb and declare another thing to the public.

again, if they both tell the truth, the ccb will not come out publicly and confirm the truth.
and if they both lie to the public, the ccb will not come out and contest or refute what they have said.

If they declare it now and it is not consistent with what ccb has, do you think the ccb will come out and tell you what buhari and osinbanjo declared is not correct ?.. HELL NO.

The only reason why this waiting game is tenable is:
1 Maybe they are so rich and have lots of asset that they need the CCB to help them confirm what is what and what is not.

2 It is their own wish to declare it publicly, it is not constitutional, so they can do it when they like, they can even do it after the 4 years in office.

I didn't vote for them, so i am less worried whether they declare it or not, it was a campaign promise they made to those thay voted for them.
Emm bros...this is not the regime of the clueless one filled with such impunities! Am sure your mind can't see the possibility of an honest govt in Nigeria. But I assure you to relax, this regime will prove your likes wrong

Nigeria ll be liberated and will be the envy of the world. Oil ll no longer be our core focus. I also know that PYO will be pivotal in bringing about the change we desire. PoliticsRe: Okonjo-iweala’s Hidden Figures By Governor Adams Oshiomhole by shenisaac(m): 11:51am On May 28, 2015
AfricanGod2:
“Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala is a heroine not just of Nigeria, but of the entire continent. Her crusade against corruption has put her life at risk.” — The Independent (UK)

People become renowned for things other than scholarly articles, and someone who graduated magna cum laude from Harvard has no business being mentioned in a discussion about her professional credibility.

Let me refresh your memory regarding the constitutional "responsibilities" of Dr Okonjo Iweala.

The Federal Executive Council

According to the constitution.
"The Cabinet of Nigeria is the Executive Branch of the Government of Nigeria. The Cabinet members are appointed by the President and report to the President. The Cabinet oversees 19 Federal Ministries, each responsible for some aspect of providing government services, as well as a number of parastatals (government-owned corporations)."

Dr Ngozi Okonjo Iweala is a member of the FEC and so is not answerable to Adams Oshiomle or any other governor, and as a member of the FEC she is not expected to prepare or give slide presentations to any governors.

She is also a member of the NEC, however the NEC is not a body she is mandated to attend by the Constitution. It is more or less an advisory body and a means to foster communication between the states and the federal government, but this is what things have been like since 2014:

"The National Economic Council is one of the federal executive councils designed to serve as a clearing house for economic issues between the states and the federal government. Even as strategic as this body is, of recent, it's been submerged in politics, as its monthly meeting has not held since August 2013 following the division of the Nigeria Governors' Forum.
How do we rescue this body from the quagmire of politics in view of its importance.
Join us at 1pm on Focus Nigeria." - AIT

Now tell me why a lady with so little time will waste it on preparing "slides" and "lessons" for a council of members that won't even attend meetings.

Finally, you mentioned something about state governors asking for their state's money and mentioned that Okonjo is not superior to governors.
I just want to say that I agree she should give an account of the handling of Nigeria's finances, but constitutionally she has no responsibility to give this account to governors. Moreover governor's, who supposedly have superior authority to the finance minister are too subject to the minister's decisions to be really considered superior.
The fact is that until governors can't do without relying on the hard work of the federal government vis-à-vis revenue from federal agencies then they should shut the hell up and stop complaining. So far it's only the likes of Oshiomle and Amaechi who can't pay salaries that are complaining.
Bros please eh... So that I don't misunderstand you, kindly state what's your point on this issue. Thanks.

I was about about to exit this post because it lacks authenticity without the mention of Kogi state but thank God I found Kogi state at the bottom.
Kogi state is the worst state in Nigeria in terms of infrastructural, Economic, human development, infact I ranks at bottom of any sought of development...The poverty rate in this state is ripe and the state capital looks more like a zoo with different wild animals in the form of humans moving about...
This state seriously need to start holding their leaders responsible and shelve their ethnic and religious bigotry
In my ranking Kogi state is the worst state in Nigeria.
Bros...wait till you go to yobe! That place is worse than a desert.
PoliticsRe: What Cost Jonathan Power In The End by shenisaac(m): 6:26pm On May 27, 2015
GEJ... Well, I always did hold a conviction that power by accident would only pollute. This is why I never voted him for once. I knew he would win back in 2011, but he just din't strike me as 'the man'. His Cluelessness grew and my dislike climaxed when I watched him on presidential media chat talk on issues - he was obviously clueless! Kai! Thank God we are free at last from such kinda leader.
In Summary, he simply had no clue!

Christianity EtcRe: Self-service, Selfless-service And Nigerian Christian Morality. by shenisaac(m): 4:33am On May 11, 2015
Once again, they have left the issue of selfless service and are busy arguing over self service
Is no surprise to me though. Our various orientations about these subjects simple tells alot about how the church community is building or minds. Minoring on the majors and vice versa.
It's easy to gain remarks on things that aren't the core issues. Jesus NEVER ONCE SAID THE WORD 'MASTURBATION', HOWEVER HE SAID THE WORD 'SELFLESS' MORE THAN 3 TIMES. But we choose to dwell on what isn't the core ish.
Op, I bet if we attach the word 'money' to 'selfless' then, we might get the adequate level of trend we seek. I am a child of God. My highest calling is to be selfless! What I do in my closet is between me and Him. But my being selfless can change the world.

Same way the southern MOGs incited the SS, SE and SW against Baba. lipsrsealed

The nine universities were supposed to be compensation for the BH massacre, economic downturn, facilities delapidation .... etc abi ??

God will help you people to see that Jona's undoing was his ineptitude and lackaidasical attitude to burning national
issues and not any grand conspiracy.

The north have always voted for GMB, the only change this time is the NC and SW who swung the pendulum.
