PoliticsRe: Boko Haram Bombs Every Northern State But Katsina And Sokoto...why? by shenisaac(m): 5:30pm On Jul 07, 2015
Well...I live up north, so place close to kano. We have not had any bombing at all. Our former governor was very diplomatic with his handling of security. One thing I know he did is that he never joked with info brought to him. He was always on the neck of the dss and military. One rumor and the whole town is floaded with soldiers. And he never publicized his nabbing any bh Member. That way, no attention is brought on the state. Plus...he was an honorable man and the people loved him enough to cooperate

Nice one op...
I recommend as top priority the massive reorientation of the populace.
I also support the immediate sacking of the service cheifs and a renewed dedication and morale to the troops by the appointments of credible generals
Also, vigilantes must be encouraged and supported

Illogical reasoning.
How will bokoharam know those other Muslims?
Islam doesn't really have sects like christianity. They pray in any mosque close and comfortable for them.
This bokoharam are not Muslims or Christians as far as I'm concerned.
THERE IS MORE TO BOKOHARAM THAN WHAT YOU READ IN THE MEDIA.
ASK PEJ - AMERICA MUST KNOW....
Bros...Muslims have sects o! Don't believe what you have not researched on. Islam has more than 5 sects in Nigeria alone. Please recheck

IsLAMe has always been political, during the time of "proph-ate" MuhaMad, there were numerous was of conquest in the name of allah and forced conversions into the religion of piss.

the "prophets" teachings has a lot of political undertones as soon as he reported came out of a cave and proclaimed himself the last prophet of a certain moon god, also hitherto known as allah.

the teachings of jihad is deeply enrooted in political advancement by any means necessary, when the followers of Jesus tried to entice him into fighting for political relevance, he assured them that his kingdom is not of this world, not so with El hajj mohaMAD bin Abubarkar (SAW 4), all conquered territories where quickly placed under a mooSLIME ruler nominated and installed by the ''LAST'' prophet.

all sultan/emir/ruler of and Islaymeek nation also leads them in prayer, showing that the state and religion are intertwined, most fights in islam is intertwined with, land, forced conversions, making iSLame a state religion, annexing of infidels lands and others, including control of the state.

hence ISLAM IS INTERTWINED WITH POLITICS.

I rest my case.
Fair point! Looking at their antecedents, I must say "there is no smoke workout fire"

And later some would say BH terrorism is in the interest of Islam!
Hehe...beats me!
Actually BH started with the sole interest of Islam. But by 2009, it had metamorphosed into something else. Some Cases of bomb blasts in Kano, Bauchi, jos have confirmed some of the gunmen to be other tribes and Christian! Infact, the BUK chapel bombing confirmed that the gunmen who shot sporadically at fleeing people were igbos. One survivor, a nursing mother claimed she knew one of them who was her neighbor. One bomb blast in jos confirmed that a woman, a member of the church was strongly withstood by her daughter not to attend service that day, cos she planned to plant the bomb in her bag. Today, BH is one menace that will pull us together-Christians and Muslims to unite and birth a beta society.
PoliticsRe: Boko Haram: In Defence Of Govt's Position To Negotiate. by shenisaac(m): 4:49pm On Jul 04, 2015
Hmmm...
First off...Buhari said he ll deal with BH over TWO MONTHS, not ONE LIKE MANY OF YOU QUOTE. It's only been a month, be patient

Second, he promised that security ll be his biggest priority. If negotiating will solve it, why not?

Third, every Administration has had to deal with militants and extremists and negotiating had always been an option.

Fourth, considering the extent of degradation that this terror had brought upon us, why can negotiations be on the table?

Five, USA, Israel negotiated for their citizens, let's remember that these fighters are largely Nigerians howbeit agreived.

Six, if you have ever been directly affected, stayed in the fear for so long, walked the line of terrorist attacks, had a first encounter with blasts, guns and blood, am sure you would gladly embrace ANY option on the table that could make it all stop.

Seven, yes other groups may arise and take advantage so as to gain free money deals, but let's know that no competent govt would let such situations as terror take firm root in its society before taking drastic actions. Now this is where I draw a line of 'questionable competence' between GEJ and PMB. I feel the later ll not let things go that bad before he acts
PoliticsRe: Appointments:uproar As Buhari Favours Northeners -PUNCH by shenisaac(m): 9:26am On Jul 04, 2015
MrNigeriaOne:
Calm your nerves asap!!! Not evn 1% of the FG has been appointed yet! Just a coincidence that all the early appointments happen to be northerners haven't you thought... maybe all the appointments made already were originally planned/allocated/zoned to their various geopolitical slots?
Hmmm... I want to agree with you sha. Am a stout pro-buhari man but these appointments are giving me concern. Yes some of those posts can be said to be zoned to the north- e.g DSS- but I don't like the fact that INEC chair still stayed back north. And the accountant general...kai! I don't like this. I trust his discretion. He is a wise man and I trust he ll do the needful.

PS: the argument that the appointments were based on merit is rather lame. There are many competent men in Nigeria to choose from, not only up north. By the way, I am a northerner

North again??
The acting will not be substantive eventually. Be is the highest principal officer to hand obey to that's why he was given. I doubt if PMB would appoint a northerner to be substantive.

So I have always admired his leadership prowess. I feel he ll do well. He looks likely to decamp though. And I see him running for president in the near future

What exactly did Buhari do in the past week that increased your power supply?

I have not had power since Inauguration day. Do you know why?

Buhari had hit the ground sitting...in my opinion. I haven't seen anything different from Jonathan yet, except a strange soft spot by the Nigerians who voted him.
Abeg sorry o....but I just have to ask - you want to see in one week, something different from GEJ who spent 6 years?

Heheheheh...it is to be expected. Keep the opposition coming. It's healthy for our democracy. Even though the writeup is littered with many unthinkables, I insist that you keep it up.
*command center and military headquarters are thesame abi?
*Yaradua declared his assets PUBLICLY after one week of being in office abi?
*you dey compare PMB, newly sworn in govt with UK's re-elected govt abi?
*Buhari should appoint ministers without going thru the 8th assembly who have not yet been sworn in abi?
*PMB should just appoint o, regardless of geopolitical considerations so that you ll see space to write about his insensitivity to the complexity of Nigeria abi?
*PMB should fire all dem cheifs, executives asap so that you can write of his 'witch hunting' skills abi
*he should just start working on NEPA since he should know the problem by now, even after GEJ kept telling the public lies about the progress of the sector. No need for forensic studies abi

Ok o...am living this.

PoliticsRe: If Igbos Sincerely Want Biafra.... by shenisaac(m): 10:36am On Jun 05, 2015
change49ja:
I believe if Igbos do really, seriously, genuinely and sincerely want Biafra nation, they will have it without a shot of gun. They do have all the human and material resources to achieve this. However, it seems the people leading the secession campaign have no clue as to what they want or how to go about it.

Moreover, with all due respect, it seems most Igbos would prefer to be in Nigeria than Biafra. I may be wrong but this is why a referendum is so important. Imagine, few months ago, the Scottish were demanding for their own country. They got a referendum but majority of Scots prefer not to leave UK.

Why I'm saying all these is that, if Igbos achieved Biafra by force through arms, it's most likely that, there might be an internal divisions among tribes, states within Biafra. This is why the way to go is through a referendum.

Unlike in the 60s, Nigeria now practice democracy today and I believe if Igbos unites and, with one voice demand for a referendum Via the United Nations, nothing can stop them. South Sudan did it, Eritrea did it, Ukrain did it, Scotland recently did it( though they fail but they're not giving up), 'Barcelonians' and some small towns are currently demanding for their own country in Spain. There are hundreds of nations within nations demanding for referendums in order to have their own countries.

So, people demanding for secession must always adhere to best option of separation which is PEACEFUL separation. This can always be done by first demanding for a REFERENDUM. Demanding for a referendum in order to determine whether to remain as part of a country or whether to secede is not a crime. What is a crime is when people take up arms to fight a democratic institutions. This may lead to a full blown war and War is not a child's play.
Wow! SECONDED O! SECONDED SECONDED!! INFACT, THIRDIRDED!!!!!! grin grin
But ofcos, nay sayers will not read this well before they decend on the truth with insults. I am glad we still have the likes of you in this country
