Just a phone call would do. Their customer service is very effective. |
tucute: please guys, when driving in a traffic, just wind up your side glasses whether its an A.C compliant car or not, once you are out of traffic and on the free flowing access roads , you can wind down...Cos even if your glass is tapped by a rogue, you can still manoeuvre your way out while your glass is wound up...Winding down gives them direct access and outright courage to extract the persons belongings..Bros, i pray you dont experiece it. I'm always on AC, whether in hold up or not. The thing is they don't care whether your glass is up or down, they track people down in a very heavy traffic where there's no place to turn to. If you read my story well, you'll understand the situation. |
cigie: Now I want to ask, if you just ignore the guy...do you want to tell me he'll pull out the gun and shoot at you in that heavy traffic where escape would be hard for him...he's gonna have the guts to do that? Is wa for Lagos shaBro, escape is the easiest thing for an armed thief in Nigeria, we are all scared people. Moreover, i don't think endangering my life over possibilities is a good idea. |
No be small thing o! really thinking of getting a licenced pistol but heard they don't grant pistol licences to anyone except its a long gun. E be like say all of us go begin dey carry illegal guns as lagos dey go so. |
Friday 1st of March seemed to be a great day as I hopped off ma bed to get ready for work. I work on marina at one of the Nigerian banks’ head offices. I got to the office at 8:00am and my colleague Emmanuel immediately shared a robbery experience he had that morning. In his words, he was stuck in traffic at 6:30am around charity bus stop driving towards Oshodi when a strange man knocked on his window and demanded for money. The guy said “fun wa lowo a fe jeun” which means “give us money for food”. To cut the story short, Emmanuel gave him five hundred naira, but the guy became so aggressive and demanded for his phone and all the money with him. As I listened to the story, I laughed at him and blamed him for giving him his belongings. I left the office at 5:30pm that day being a Friday, u know, Friday hold up dey mad die. I live around Abule-egba area of Lagos, so I was trying to get home early. I passed third Mainland Bridge, linked Alausa secretariat, bursted out at MKO Abiola gardens and then African shrine where I got stuck in traffic. For those who are familiar with the road, you can be still for about 15 minutes before traffic starts flowing as there are usually LASTMA officials around Amaraolu Street who control the flow of those coming from Agidingbi and those trying to burst out at via Amaraolu Street. I got there at about 8pm and could not wait to get out that traffic as all I saw were brake lights. I was in there for about a minute when suddenly, a strange looking guy hit my window with his hand and demanded for money, he raised his shirt up a lil and there it was, the pistol tucked in his jean. Me being the James bond driver that I am started looking around if there was any escape route I could take, but all to no avail, everywhere was dead blocked. I hurriedly brought out 1k from ma pocket, winded down the glass a little and stretched it to him. He smiled and demanded I took everything out of ma pocket and handed it to him. I declined and resorted to begging him in Yoruba. Like say God dey my side, the guy collected it and said it was because I’m Yoruba o, e for show me. Immediately I left the area, I called 767 (Lagos state emergency service) and reported the almost successful robbery and they promised to send the RRS. How I wan even take tell Emmanuel say the same thing happen to me after I don abuse am. On a serious note, the security situation in the state seems to be on the upward trend, we all need to be very careful and channel it to the appropriate authorities . |

Mad Cow: Indeed it is the greatest book...And who says she can't be one of the greatest islamic scholars in a few years with the rate at which she's going ? at least, she's got all the quranic verses in her head. she'll just need more time. |
Chiefupper: imagine some1 who has finished d whole physics textbukz now comparing human brain memory wit computer memory,no doubt such person is mad,if u can't use your stagnant brain memory to store d holy buk of any religion wc u practise y discouraging others Mad Cow: She should try memorizing more useful books like her School books or Nelkon Physics textbook..The greatest book in the world is the Quran as it teaches and guides mankind in the right direction in this life and also prepares one for the hereafter. 90% of her memory card? funny as it shows how dumb you are. The brain is like a muscle that expands the more u use it. Tascocent: y she no try bible now.......she 4 no say kaki no b leda. 66books no b moi moi ooo. wait first @ d age of 3 and 8month ke, for wetin now. iro nla"O mankind, worship your Lord, who created you and those before you, that you may become righteous - (21) [He] who made for you the earth a bed [spread out] and the sky a ceiling and sent down from the sky, rain and brought forth thereby fruits as provision for you. So do not attribute to Allah equals while you know [that there is nothing similar to Him]. (22) And if you are in doubt about what We have sent down upon Our Servant [Muhammad], then produce a surah the like thereof and call upon your witnesses other than Allah, if you should be truthful. (23)" One of the many miracles and beauties of the Quran is the ease at which its memorized. |
Great! So we'll have to observe fast tomorrow thursday 25th November. I advise muslims to make good use of this opportunity. May Allah accept our act. AMIN. |

This is the most fascinating video about Nigeria i have seen in the past decade, i'm really proud of these russians. They feel so sad being russians and are so enthralled about the country we wanna leave by all means. One fact is that we are nigerians and there's nothing we can do bout it, we just have to be the change we desire to bring about the equitable growth and development we seek. I really hope this vdeo is promoted by concerned government agencies so as to tell nigerians that we are valued by foreigners pending the attainment of goals set by the present administration. We will get there Nigerians, we will. |
What is wrong with the Morons here on NL, they don't read links, yet they start making irrelevant comments. Its not the braids that cost N5M but the deal she has with the braids company. |
