I'm a good testifier to this topic of rent hike, cos I know what I went through of recent before I finally paid for one few days ago. Even if you are not moving from one house to the other, expect an increase in your rent fee from your landlord soon especially if you are in any part of Lagos. If he doesn't, you need to start worshipping that kind of landlord honestly.

All I can say is yahoo boys aren't the problem but inflation. The present government keep taking bounty from the society everyday and keep adding back little to nothing. Look at it from the source.

I heard of someone who wanted to rent a face me I face u room at isolo, the room itself is 60k for a year but the stupid agent want to collect 100k as agent fee. Like why will agent fee be more expensive than the room.

It should be total for agency, agreement and caution. Which these agreement and caution are still going to the landlord's pocket. Most of us just sum the total up in our mind thinking everything belongs to the agent. Mostly, the problem is really from the greedy landlords.

Some agents are evil and extremely greedy too but definitely not all of them.

It's worse in Ekpoma, edo state. A two bedroom flat in Emaudo Ekpoma presently is over 1 million naira, no exaggeration. A POP house 3 bedroom my church member's son (yahoo boy) rented for 1.460m agent fee 60k in Ekpoma o, I didn't say Abuja

God bless that agent and the likes of him in that place. If it's in Lagos, agent will collect minimum of 146k on that house if not more than. Except if that 1.46m isn't the anual rent, maybe agreement and caution already added, that's when it can reduce a bit.

I got a call from glo this morning to re-register my sim card but to my suprise, you can only do this by visiting the nearest glo outlet or sim registration agent.

No *996# option to re-register like that of MTN, is there a different code for glo or must someone visit their outlet?
