Thubv did the same when GEJ declared state of emergency on Yobe and Borno in 2013. That was even much needed as Boko Haram had almost overrun the state.

GEJ did not suspend the governors and legislature of those states.

There's no need for all this unnecessary chest beating. The Nigerian military struggled against the militants throughout OBJ 8 years in power, Yardua had to give them amnesty for peace to reign.

Are you not seeing and hearing about the insecurity all over Nigeria? The Nigerian armed forces is presently overstretch. A disturbance in the Niger Delta will badly affect oil production and our economy.

How many fronts can an overstretched military fight?
