Paraman: Most of the trees planted under Fashola didn't make it. A lot of work needs to be done if the government will embark on tree planting again, so the success rate will be high this time around The trees and horticultural works Fashola did are still majority of what is available till this day. Many of the trees made it contrary to what you said. |

Chills007: I Have a very unique issue on my Civic 06. The dipstick broke into the engine and I have been using it for a few weeks.
I know It is not right: but I do not know how to the the fallen bit out. Took it to the mechanic he said if he can take the (I can't remember what he called it) but something like the oil pan out he could remove it and close it back. But upon trying. He realised that the pan and the engine could not be detached as they were fastened pretty hard. Said to remove it may need to drop the engine.
Just to put into context, what was left of the deep stick is the cover, almost the entire length of the dipstick fell into the engine.
Also I think my top gasket is blown out. It is my first ever car. Story: one evening I went out with my wife to see a movie and on our way back, I decided to use the AC since we are on the highway and it was a bit hot outside. She dey rub my head as we dey go and I no really dey pay attention to the dashboard. When I got off the highway and met slower traffic I decided to turn off the AC to let some natural air in. That was when I looked at my dash.
My engine's temperature was almost on the red. I immediately pulled over. Immediately I packed and turnoff the car, the kind of steam that came out of the engine bay ehn? I have never seen it before. I hurriedly open the bonnet to air the engine bay, from first look, my radiator was dry. The car sat there for about 40 minutes. Then I refilled the radiator with coolant after ward. Then I set off.
But I noticed the sound of the vehicle was not the same. I did not get 3 minutes away, then I realized the temperature was rising again. Then I knew it was more than coolant. All the coolant had gone off.
It was late and I was close to the house I was buying water at intervals to put into the radiator so that I can get home. I got home! Mechanic came to check it the next morning; the fuse giving electricity to the fan was gone. The fan had stopped working all along.
We replaced the fuse and it was good again. However the sound of the engine has not been the same. Leading me to thing the top gasket is gone.
Please can someone help confirm this.
I am a complete novice when it comes to vehicles. Please help I think the main issue was the broken dipstick. You shouldn’t have driven the car with the dipstick broken in the engine as that alone caused some damages. The engine may need to be dropped, oil drained, oil pan removed and also some components in the engine like the oil pump may need to be replaced. Just get a decent mechanic to do the job. |

A true leader is judged based on his empathy towards his people and not the ability to make decisions that will put them in misery.
Tinubu’s predecessors showed empathy, they could not fight those that diverted the subsidy and chose not to tow the easy path, which is punish millions of Nigerians for the sins of a few stealing the money for subsidies.
Tinubu on the other hand chose the easy path which appears to be much more cruel to the masses. If he were to be a “General” as you tagged him, or half as brave as you call him, why did he not go after the subsidy fraudsters? |

Advise him to buy crypto with 20M out of the money and store them. He can reinvest the rest in any business or travel out.
If I were in his shoes that’s what I’ll do.
He shouldn’t do shitty coins o. BTC, ETH, XRP and DOGe.
Should he do this, I can guarantee you that in 3 - 4 years that money would have quadrupled. |

Trippledots: Yeah, I checked and topped it up already. I'ld have to embark on my trip to lag like that. Hoping it doesn't fail in some way. When you get to Lagos, try to bleed the pump. Remove all the fluid and put a new one. You can check YouTube for videos on how to bleed the system. I’ll recommend you do it yourself. It’s quite easy. |

Trippledots: Any 07/08 odyssey owner here?
I used mine to travel from Lagos to the East yesterday, the first time I'm going that far with it. About 2hrs to end of my trip, I started hearing a whirring sound from the engine and it's been giving me concern.
Has anybody experienced this?
Any good advice is welcome Check the power steering fluid level. Also check if there’s bubbles in the fluid container. If yes, top up the fluid. |

ElSudani: Is the country currently earning anything close to the oil revenue available to Obasanjo's administration? Guy, you should research before saying this. Obj administration had the least oil revenue since 1999. Don’t always come out here to make a fool of yourself when you can easily use the mobile in your hand to carry out a little research. Some politicians just fool you with lies and you do not bother to verify if it’s true. |

If I have the money I don’t think I’ll buy any super car for use in Nigeria.
1. No good roads of up to 50km to drive the car on. 2. I don’t think we have any racing tracks yet. I can’t have a supercar to be driven like a daily driver. I want to push it to its limits 3. These cars require high octane premium fuel. Sadly, we don’t have that. Even Dangote fuel is refined using ethanol and these cars especially the Purosangue and many other Ferraris require zero ethanol fuel. 4. Servicing.
I’d rather go electric. |

Politics › Re: My Take On President Tinubu's Media Chat by Sheuns(m): 5:53am On Dec 24, 2024 |
The corruption part was totally off point.
We all know the set of people that steal majority of the nation funds, they’re the politicians. They’re not poor nor struggling to send their children to school.
The workers he tried to pin corruption on have little chance of stealing, that chance only comes for a few that make it to very high placements in the civil service e.g permanent secretaries etc. and it’s not all of them that do that.
The people that steal from Nigeria are the crops of politicians, executives, legislators especially. Deal with those. |
