Jethrolite:
At some point and when you've paid your dues, is it not virtually like this when compared to making money in Nigeria? You guys abroad like downplaying money making over there like this is 1992. Money no de, life is hard but you're changing cars and living in $2,500 apartment monthly.
Then show me an apartment that is cheaper there.
Yes, it is easier to gain employment over there than it is here but one thing we fail to consider is the cost of living over there

*UI PG students’ exams stalled*

The strike forced the University of Ibadan to stop
the examination of postgraduate students in
various faculties in the school.
One of our correspondents learnt that students in
the Department of Psychology were sent out,
while papers scheduled to be written in the
Faculty of the Social Sciences were cancelled.
ASUU members in the school voted to support the
strike at its referendum last week.
In a message sent to the Vice-Chancellor of the
institution, Prof. Idowu Olayinka, by the Chairman
of ASUU in the school, Dr Deji Omole, the union
said, “We write to inform you that the observance
of the strike action will include no teaching, no
examination, no supervision, no attendance of the
statutory meetings of any kind and other
academic matters. Our members will henceforth
withdraw their services till the end of the strike.”

*UNILAG, LASU to comply*

Academic activities at the University of Lagos
unfolded normally on Monday. However, the
UNILAG branch chairman of ASUU, Mr. Adelaja

the directive of the national ASUU from
Wednesday.
He said, “We have to call a congress of our
members and brief them on the directive. We are
having a congress tomorrow (Tuesday). But we
do not have a choice in the matter. We were part
of the decision to call the strike.’’
A senior lecturer in the Department of Mass
Communication, Faculty of Social Sciences,
University of Lagos, who did not want to be
identified, said there was no lecture in the

throughout the university. The strike is effective.”
At the Lagos State University, our correspondent
observed that many offices and lecture halls were
locked at the Ojo campus; only a few students
were seen.
Although the development was attributed to the
one-week lecture-free directive of the
management of the university, the LASU ASUU
Chairman, Dr Isaac Oyewumi, however, said the
chapter would “comply fully with the directive.”
He said, “It is going to be total. I can assure you
that we are going to comply.’’

FashionOne Of The Rarest Watches In The World Became The Most Expensive Rolex Ever by Shinery0123(op): 5:46pm On Aug 15, 2017
The "Bao Dai" Rolex more than doubled its auction estimate.

An exceptionally rare and unique Rolex watch just became the most expensive ever sold.

Known as the "Bao Dai" watch, this piece was sold to the last emperor of the Nguyen dynasty in Vietnam in 1954.

It just sold for over $5 million » at auction at Phillips in Geneva. The buyer has not been identified.

The Bao Dai is a Rolex reference 6062 — the most expensive and rarest watch model the brand sold at the time it was made. The gold case and black dial were the rarest configuration of the 6062 model.

Only three models to this specification are known to have existed, according to Hodinkee » . This particular model is the only one to have had diamond markers on the even hours, making it completely unique and unlike every other watch in the world.
It was sold by the Nguyen family for $235,000 in 2002, meaning that the watch has only changed hands once. Though that price may seem low compared to today's standards, it was also the most expensive Rolex ever sold at the time.

While the watch's auction estimate was only $1.5 million, collectors expected it to go for much more than that.

The Bao Dai handily beat the previous record holder, the Rolex split-seconds chronograph reference 4113, which sold for
$2.5 million last year.

That is approximately over 1.8 billion naira!!!
