Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Efcc Recruitment by shiwaggz57(m): 10:50pm On Jan 31, 2019 |
socratesoncrack: This thread used to be the first thing I opened every morning for my daily dose of updates back when the initial 'Magu Era' recruitment began in 2016, i think. Back Then, EFCC was going through this rebranding exercise- ushered in by the Govt. of Buhari, and I was desperate to be a part of this new, energised fight against institutionalised corruption that was fast gaining momentum. I prayed diligently every time I prostrated before God. Fast forward, the recruitment process took nearly a year of my life and I scaled through all stages but, when the final calls for successful candidates were made, I did not get mine. Retrospectively, I felt an entire year was lost just waiting for something that in the end never transpired.
What are the lessons to be learnt from my experience? (1) Do not put your life/development on hold in the hope of waiting on a job not secured yet. Go for your Masters or something (2) Do not undermine smaller opportunities that may come your way as you wait for the 'bigger fish'. Start something regardless of how small, when the Eja Nla finally manifests you could always leave the juvenile fish behind (3) Always have contingency plans. Do not over commit your resources in one basket. Realistically, a part of you should always be prepared for the 'what if i don't get it' scenario or else it will hit you like a bolt from the blue.
My story did not end with disappointment however. A few months after the EFCC call-ups were made, through the most unlikely of channels, I secured a Job somewhere I can only describe as EXCEPTIONAL. Which prompts the last lesson to be learnt; (4) Always trust God for He has the best blueprint mapped out for you! Alhamdullilah! and I sincerely wish all of you success. That picture na Airforce base Mando na, x-ray waiting. Chia! All you said are coincidental to my experience then too, the only difference is I applied for my masters that same year I applied for the EFCC, awaiting for the final list for training for me to differ my admission but no way, but to God be the glory, m done with my masters now. That experience won't leave my memory, and surely I will tell it to my children. I was so confident I was gonna make the list but God knows best. |

Explorers: That video is scary and shocking bro.
Moving from one dead soldier to another and giving them another shot in the head just to make sure they're all dead.
No secured base/camp perimeters, no radar in their bases to detect incoming attack from miles away, no communication system, no backup, expired weapons and equipments.
In developed countries, if soldiers are setting up just temporary camp/base anywhere, it will be up to a life time standard and secured no matter how small the size.
Perimeter will be like a mile away with air/ground defence system, communication gadgets, armory, generators and both ground and air support few miles away.
If soldiers are travelling in danger zones like this, they deploy drones ahead their route first to detect ambush and to guide them with their motorcade full of armoured cars/humvees and a communication vehicle. (Ground/air support not far o in case)
Serious people/Government that value lives of citizens, that's what they do.
We can afford these things, but we wont just do the right thing here.
Men at Nigeria/Chad border/Borno, you giving them hilux and staying in holes and under trees camp like animals
The more the pain/agony/suffering/crying of the people, the richer they become. can u send me the video pls |

Bakar1: Gentle Men cadets
I think almost all questions that have been asked has one way or the other revolved around how the interview is going to be, but why can't you all move further to ask these gentle men officers these following questions on when enlisted what actually happens sometimes as to give you more morale of kill the one you have already.
@Sherrif232 and @mangojuice can you cracked officers help the intending cadets share your experiences at training which could be much but would be glad if you could treat these questions with the answers if not more for those enthusiasts wishing to know more than just the surface.
1. Most of the intending cadets would like to know how, when selected how is it inside as per SSC and DSSC like how would the cadets be welcomed..? Like would they start hunching from the gates and the likes how would they be given their battalions and their kits any grooming party and stuffs of that nature.
2. How is training like e.g first 3 months would it be bloody is it all about jobs and all, how do people buy job and how's it paid for, obstacle crossing going to visit various formations, what drills are taught and as from what month to what month e.g matching, weapons handling e.t.c Bush camping is it done how and where, are there classes what are being taught and all.
3. As some joined for the pay would you be as kind as giving them the range as for SSC being a lieutenant and DSSC being a 2nd Lieutenant their salary and perks are they given allowances how is the allowance paid and all what other packages and benefits are there when one joins as oppose some other jobs, as well as what they get when in camp e.g what they would be paid in camp and what they are entitled to. after camp would they be given a huge bucks like a sign on fee to be able to set up their house and get a ride and stuffs like that because some see it as a means to get out of unemployment others see it as a means to upgrade pay so that they would know what they are getting into.
4. The HTACOS can you please explain to them how it's run I.e how many years from one rank to another how many exams one needs to pass run out date on rank based on age and the likes so they know what they are facing so as not to be stagnant, as well as to calculate their ages and know their fits and their last laps and how promotions are done.
5. Are appointments given to cadets in camp just like the regulars that get appointments and what are those appointments and what do they mean and their duties and pros and cons as well.
6. Are SSC and DSSC cadets sent for courses abroad just like the regulars that the best in a field in the three arms are sent abroad to go complete his/her training is that also found there or after pipping is there any way they give best in anything where such is sent on courses abroad.
7. And accommodation after being commissioned how is it done like we all know there are barracks almost all over the country how is it done and given out duo almost everything is delapedated can one get his own accommodation outside and rent is there any support like allowance paid for those not staying in the barracks and all.
8. In terms of pass i.e going out not AWOL how many passes are given to both the SSC and DSSC and what does pass entails.
9. Hows the POP going to be preparations on terms of drills matching and how's the launch and dinner of POP going to be.
10. How are deployment letters given is it same day or when and how are you guys mobilized to go to your new unit were you guys given breaks before resuming work fully.
I don't mind gentle men officers writing epistle on each questions so as to get the intenders more grounded for what they are about to face information is power but when used as well as when harnessed from the right channel.
I think @lebete3000 can also share part of his experience he had in DSSC as well.
The army job is not a job for all, its a job well bought and well served.
Intending cadets stop assuming You would suffer is that clear..? What is clear..?
You all would be cracked to be born again is that clear...?
This is so we won't have deserters when they all come for training or saying had I known I wouldn't have left my civilian job, so as not to loose on both ends, as well as to give space to others who are willing, able and ready.
I think I would stop here for the intending cadets more can also be asked if they so wish.
CC Sherrif232, Mangojuice, Lebete3000 thumb up bro, well pointed out. Pls to the directed, help us answer the questions, we will really appreciate. |

doctormoh: On what basis did they select the officers cadre? Its kind of confusing .. I got an invite for the physical screening and I scaled thru. In fact, I was given a pink card here in Abuja and was told to come back for the exercise which eventually was postponed due to the fact that some person were reported to have met the grim reaper during there own exercise.
And now, some persons who did not receive the mail for the physical screening have been invited for the aptitude test. Why are things this upside-down in Nigeria during the first stage, everybody was invited and now they just cooked up a random list for both officers and MI cadre... my advice for you is to know the center of exam for the state u choose, n go n write the exam. shikena |
