While growing up, we must have had some superstitions we believed in or still believe in. Good or bad.
Well, here's mine:

1. If you sit on a mortar, you won't grow tall.
Mehn back then, I wanted to grow taller so I avoided this like a plague.

2. People who eat lots of beans later grow tall.
Still on the height matter. Maybe this is how my love for beans started...lol


3. If you're sitting down with your legs outstretched and someone else walks across over them, you better tell the person to walk across back or else you won't give birth in future!

4. If you sleep by lying down flat facing the ceiling, you'd have nightmares! Because that's how corpses lie.
The first time I heard this was from my roommates during my first night in the university. This marked the beginning of the end of my superstitious beliefs because that was how I usually slept before university and there were no nightmares. And that's how I still sleep!

The man pictured above has allegedly been selling Yogurt on the streets of Kaduna for 30years. According to Mohammed Bilal who shared the photos on facebook, one of the lil children who he normally gives free yogurt surprised him with N3million cheque. Good deed surely pays. See another pic below;

The filthy and severely deformed offspring of an incest
"cult" has been discovered in Australia.
The members of the 'cult' who are actually brothers and
sisters, uncles and aunts had sex with one another over
four generations, and raised children who themselves
grew up to become intimate and have more inbred
children.
The shocking discovery of the family's depraved life in
the valley was exposed by residents of a
nearby town, who had reported that there were children
living in the hills who had not been attending school.
The man told the Sydney paper that on occasions two
women with 'about ten children' would emerge from a
car, buy something in the shops and leave.
'They were never clean looking,' said the man. And there
was 'nothing' on the blocks of land where the family lived
- 'no electricity, no water, just scrub.'
And sure enough, Police and child care workers were
stunned when they arrived at the cult camp, and found
40 adults and children living in two broken-down
caravans, two sheds and tents, where there was no
running water or sewage.
Dirt caked the surfaces of stoves and cooking facilities,
rotten vegetables lay in a refrigerator and a kangaroo
was sleeping on one of the children's beds.
Chainsaws, bags of rubbish and exposed electrical wires
lay about. There were no toilets, showers or baths.
The children were found living in filth and had numerous
disabilities from their inbred births.
Police later found out the family was started by a brother
and sister who slept together and she got pregnant.
Down through the generations, the family continued to
regenerate itself, the children beginning to have sex with
one another as soon as they were old enough.
The elders in the family comprised sisters Rhonda, 47;
Martha, 33; and Betty Colt, 46, who slept every night
with her brother, Charlie.
Betty had 13 children, some of whom were fathered by
her father, Tim, and her brother, Charlie.
Rhonda and Martha too had their own children who had
sex with each other to have more children.
Most of the children were underweight, could not hear or
write, had fragmented and stunted speech, decaying
teeth and ere unable to bathe or dry themselves.
Some did not know how to use a toilet or what toilet
paper was.
However, since the discovery of the shocking events in
the hidden valley, some children have since been placed
with foster families, while others are in treatment
programmes for sexualised behaviour and psychological
trauma.
They are said to be making progress with schooling and
hygiene, but Betty Colt appears to be in denial.

Despite the harsh criticisms that greeted recent
comment credited to Edo state governor, Adams
Oshiomhole when he told a widow to “go and die”, the
All Progressives Congress, APC, has backed the
‘unguarded’ statement, saying that the governor was
only being serious with his work.
The Interim National Publicity Secretary of the APC, Lai
Mohammed, while reacting to the statement said
Oshiomole was only doing his job as the governor of the
state.
Speaking on Channels television last Saturday, the APC
chieftain said:
“Running a state is not about popularity but about doing
the right thing. In doing so, you are probably going to
step on certain toes,” adding that those in government
sometimes take harsh decisions and should not be
prosecuted for such.
When asked if there was any justification for the
governor’s comments, Mohammed said:
“No, I am just saying that in some circumstances, you
take decisions which are very unpleasant.”
