Thanks for the invite, intuition brings ideas, rational mind does the dirty work. Many a scientist had ideas their rational minds couldn't fathom till later scientists worked on these ideas and made sense of them. For me I'd pick rational mind cos in everyday living, intuition won't take you far without having a rational mind to back it. My 2 cents. Downside to my choice is that innovation comes from intuition.
But I don popular oh op, how you take get my monicker?.... I'm elated

Yea...
Innovation comes from intuition

My first post on this thread....

I've been a ghost follower since December 2016.

I read the thread from page 0 till the most recent, especially during the buildup to jamb, and it served as a great morale booster for me. God bless you all. Special recognition to Dr. Lagusta.

I'm a newly admitted Dentistry and Dental surgery student, University of Ibadan.

Congrats

I have my petitions against the Intuitive mind though. Those that follow the feelings, some misleading hunches when choosing a partner. Females are at large guilty of this. They scream and yell, and emotionally torture themselves when an organ- the heart beats fast at the sight of strangers they call 'crush'. I wonder what gives them the notion that a feeling is equal to love. Smh... Love is not emotional. It is rational, yes you heard me right!!! In india, parents still arrange marriages for their children and those marriages ended up fine. It wasn't based on emotional yada-yada but on careful planning, mutual understand, sacrifice and hardwork. The intuitive mind is spontaneous while the rational mind isn't. We indeed need both. Let's say, your house catches fire and your baby is trapped inside, your rational mind would tell you to forget it and produce another baby. BUT Your intuitive mimd would jump right into the fire!!

BOTH are needed, none is greater.

Seun , WE need your opinion here.
Thanks for the wonderful contribution.

Education / Intuitive Mind Or Rational Mind, Which Is Supreme? by sholahokif: 3:48pm On Nov 21, 2017
I stumbled on some articles about intuition and rational mind. While some say intuition is the highest form of intelligence, others argued rational mind reigns supreme.

According to Albert Einstein, "The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift."

The rational mind uses reason or logic in thinking out a problem while the ability to know or understand things without any proof or logical process is intuition.

I'm bringing this to nairalanders to discuss.
Which is supreme and why?
Let's hear you out.....
And Learn...

Vcojuro:

Integrity and honesty should be the motto of all medical students who are aspiring to be future doctors.
Medicine our noble profession is built on trustworthiness and good character.
Do you think doctors are respected for the mere fact that they are doctors and not nurses or engineers. They are respected by the society because they of the good will and exemplary acts which they have shown to members of the society. Though there are some exemptions but hardly will you read in the newspapers and national dailies that a doctor intentionally killed any member of the society.
Medicine is not a guarantee that one will succeed, infact there are one thousand way of succeeding in this life without studying medicine. Any medical student will understand what I am saying.
Medicine as a profession is built on trust and any moment the society observes that we are deviating from the laid down principles, then believe me honestly medicine will no longer be a force to reckon with..............
Well done sir...
