Fashion / Re: Chinese Girl, 16, Undergoes 100 Cosmetic Surgeries To Improve Her Looks (Photos) by shooqueen(f): 3:36pm On Jan 31, 2021
What a wicked shame that this young girl is not happy and proud of her native looks. What type of a world have we created, via the media, to make this young girl want to look more like a doll than her fellow countryman and women. I hope she dose not regret her decision to want to be so very different to what nature intended. This reminds me of a time in every females past, a time when she was unhappy about herself in one way or another; swing the clock forward 30 years- what that woman would do now to have the body she previously was not happy about or the face she had problems with? The problems with your appearance you have at 16 fades into obscurity faced with your appearance problems you perceive you have at 46.

Hi all, I would like to share our story with you back in June 2012 my husband was refused a visa as the spouse of a UK citizen one of the reasons was his fingerprints had been mixed up with another person who was looking for a visa at the same time (this person had a conviction against his name) and must also have had my husband’s fingerprints attributed to him. Trying to convince people this had happened was virtually impossible, I approached everyone I could think of including my local member of parliament who helped me get a letter to the right department of the home office. It was a couple of months before the home office agreed there had been a mix up. We were told that we could, when called by the embassy in Abuja, re-submit the paperwork for the visa. Once again my husband’s refusal was upheld as they did not believe our relationship was subsisting, the decision had already been made before we sent the new evidence in. We tried the EU Irish rout but that was not as strait forward as we first thought (and a whole story on its own). We submitted the appeal in august 2012, we did not hear back from the home office until January 2013 with a date for the tribunal. It was set for the 4th of April 2013. Getting a new bundle together took weeks everything was scanned, printed copied, dated and meticulously indexed I left nothing to chance. We decided against a solicitor, I represented my husband, we decided as long as we told the truth and gave all the relevant information and proved everything my husband would be granted a visa, Our bundle was over 300 pages and in the determination from the judge he praised how organised I was he was also moved by the fact each of my close family members wrote statements about my husband and I together. To prepare for our case I went to the courts to watch a similar case the week before our case was due to be heard to see how the system worked and how to best address everyone it was very informative. The day our case was heard was one of the longest in my life our case was heard last and lasted almost an hour and 20 minutes of being asked questions by the judge and then cross examined by the home office representative. It was 5 weeks before the judge made a decision in our favour. My husband flew back from Nigeria in July 2 years ago. This week he has just received his ILR. The most important piece of information I would give to anyone is get as much evidence that your relationship is subsisting. Photos, tickets from events you both attended proof of telephone calls between yourselves over the time of your relationship every little piece of evidence you have and DATE IT ON THE FRONT, embassy staff don’t turn things over to look for dates. Don’t be tempted to forge anything where you have gaps write why there is a gap, index and date everything I can’t say it enough, an extra 2 or 3 weeks getting all your proof together could save you 18 months of being apart. I wish you all good luck.

shooqueen: Help, yet again! You may remember my husband’s visa refusal because his biometric details (fingerprints) had been linked to someone else’s name. Well having contacted the police in the fingerprint department the data protection unit various solicitors and my local MP we finally got somewhere. My MP forwarded this email:

**Thank you for your email of 6 June on behalf of Mr XXXXXXX about his entry clearance and his biometric details.

The Entry Clearance Manager has confirmed that the incorrect report has been linked to Mr XXXXXXX application and quoted in the refusal notice. This error has been rectified and the application will require reconsideration.

The Entry Clearance Officer will contact the applicant today, or as soon as possible, to acknowledge the error and in order for him to present the required documents needed to re-assess the application.**

This letter was dated 13th June and we still have heard nothing, on the 21st June I contacted my MP again still no-one has been in touch they have my husband’s address, email and telephone number can anyone tell me how long it will take?

If we thought it was going to be this long we could have just made a fresh application 2 weeks ago!
Does anyone have Mr Jason Ivory’s email address? Maybe contacting him directly will have more of an effect

[quote author=Vicjustice]I remember your case and the earlier post you made: I hope you are aware that you must be an EU citizen, or a Swizz or Norwegian national to be entitled for the EU treaty rights of Rome which allows for free movements within the EU countries.

I am British so I have free movement. The first time out of the UK was to go with my husband to nigeria to get married.

The Irish Ministry of Justice usually responds to application on the sixth months after submission.

I have conflicting advice on this one as a solicitor friend said "to join family permit" (not a visa) should only take about 2 weeks to get whereas I spoke to an someone in the Irish embassy in Abuja who said it would take 8 weeks. Are you sure this will take 6 months if so we may as well put in a new application.

You said you don't have much time to wait, therefore, i think you have much time to get yourself into more trouble:
First, there is a chanced that he will be banned from the EU for life if that finger-print mess is neglected.
Second, He could also be refused the visa if you are not fully established in the republic of Ireland.
Third, You must have a job, a full time job with a permanent contract

I have secured a job and place to live in Ireland and have given notice at work.I am just booking my flight to Dublin to arrange my PPS. I know this all sounds a bit rushed but I just want to be back with my husband. If life were fair we would already be back together. I will do anything it takes to be with my husband.

Any futher advice will be greatly appreciated.

Refused Entry To UK. Trying For "To Join Family" In Ireland

I have re-posted this here as I can't find where to post for Ireland.

My husband was refused a UK visa one of the reasons was they have his biometric fingerprints mixed up with that of someone else, we are in the process of trying to legally sort that issue out. Putting in an appeal will take in excess of 8 months according to solicitors advice. A time we are not prepared to wait to be together so I will be exercising my EU treaty rights in Ireland , my husband can join me, after 6 months we can then do the same thing in the UK.

Question1. Could anyone tell me what my husband will have to take to the Irish embassy for proof he has the right to join me?

Question2. How long will the process take once the application is submitted?

Question3. Are there grounds that he could be refused other than they do not believe we are in a subsisting relationship?

Question4. Is there anyone here that has made the move to Ireland how have you found the job market? IT sector.

Can anyone tell me, as I have been through the UK. Gov web site with a fine tooth comb, if I claim family tax credits and working tax credits are these classed as public funds and would stop my husbands appeal going ahead, as everyone who earns less than £30000 pa in the UK is entitled to make a claim?

justwise:

Go with the visa refusal letter to explain things to them, they may refuse to disclose much info to you because of Data Protection Act but you have to lay your complain about the alleged fingerprint mixed-up.

I went to the police station with all the info and I have had a call back form them they are putting me in touch with the fingerprint department who hopefully is able to help. I have also taken advice from 3 solicitors who specialise in immigration law. This fingerprint mix up is not as uncommon as I first thought but it does rule out a stright forward appeal as we have been advised to instruct a barrister and it will take around 7 months to be heard after the application data has been inputted. I spoke to the justice department on 24.05.12 and they were only just inputting data from 20.04.12. I am not waiting to be with my husband for another 8 months so I'm going to exercise my rights to work in another EU country (Spain) and my husband can then apply to join me with a family permit. One solicitor said this would only take a few days. Does anyone know how the process works or how long it will really take, any information would be great?

We will also carry on with the appeal as we want his fingerprints sorted out

The fingerprint is stored in central database that is accessible by immigration or UK law enforcement agencies anywhere, the police or the immigration can check it with hand-held device even on the street.

Thanks that's a great help as I live in the UK I'm going to the police station to try get more info, I will keep you posted.

Sorry one more thing. Do you know if the UKBA checks the fingerprints they take at the VAC or do they send them to the UK to check and if they are checked in Nigeria how do we get a copy of the results?

This is strange one but could be sorted out, they need to tell you when the fingerprint was taken and where, then your husband can proof that he wasn't in that location at that time and date.

The case is this. . was your husband at midland police station on that day and time? If ur hubby can prove that he never gave his finger print to the police on that day and time then he will be fine

We know that the fingerprints were taken over six years ago and my husband lived in the north of the UK then (over 100 miles away form the area) but to prove he was not there is going to be impossible, we would have better luck in having his biometric data re-done and sent to the uk to be checked by the west midlands police. Do you know where he could do this, he lives in Abuja. Closer would be better as we have little time we only just recived the refusal of entry yesterday but it has a refusal date of the 10.05.12 on it. Many thanks.

Hi I'm new to the site and need help my husband has been refused a UK settlement visa, we will be putting in an appeal but one of the reasons given was that my husband did not declare that he has previously been known by another ID (they gave a name and date of birth of someone old enough to be our nonexistent son)and have biometric details (fingerprints) of my husband held by west midlands police. This is just not possible there has been a mix up somewhere; we think my husband's biometric details have been allocated to someone else in the vac or immigration offices. Has anyone come across anything like this before? Has anyone got any ideas as to how we can get a copy of both sets of biometric details? Please help!
