The type of news we desire. Nigeria... GOOD PEOPLE! GREAT NATION cc. Lalasticlala, Seun |
A Nigerian student, Saviour Okusenogu, is among 10 winners of the recently concluded Microsoft Youthspark Challenge for Change competition. The Microsoft Youth Spark Challenge for Change is a contest that tasks young people from around the world to submit ideas that will address a social issue through technology in their communities. 17 year-old Saviour Okusenogu, who is currently studying to become an Electrical and Electronics Engineer, says he has always had a passion for Science and Technology, thanks to his early exposure to computers. Through his BISET Initiative (Become Inspired in Science and Engineering Technology), Okusenogu wants to develop a project to spark an interest in science and engineering for more kids in developing countries by bringing fun and interactive science experiments and other projects to secondary schools with hopes that they will get kids far more excited than the abstract, conceptual ways many kids learn about those topics now. With this win, Okusenogu is delighted to know that his initiative will get the exposure it deserves: “It’s a very great opportunity for students like me, and for people who want to change their communities with science and technology,” he says. Microsoft announced this year’s grand prize winners with compelling ideas representing youth from Chile, Ecuador, Greece, India, Nepal, Nigeria, United States, and Uruguay. Later this year, these winners will travel to the Nicaragua to learn about social entrepreneurship and development issues. Microsoft is also outfitting each winner with a $2,500 cash grant, and a Microsoft technology bundle (Surface Pro3, Windows Phone, and Office 365) to help them develop their projects further. You have gifted hands, you know you can think, or maybe you have friends that when provided with the right tools and suitable environment can come up with an invention that will change the course of life... Then this might be an opportunity to show the world what stuff you're made of...... Like our page Make In Nigeria on Facebook or follow us on twitter @MakeInNigeria, who knows? This might be the opportunity you've been waiting for to become Nigeria's First inventor.... #MakeInNigeria

tlk2Prince:Thanks for this. i'm most grateful.... i have all the above except baptismal certificate. So i'll proceed. But please how many days did it take you to get this done because i reside in Lagos, so i must plan the whole thing well. Thanks again |

But if you have anyone that has successfully changed it or have heard of such, let me know so that I won't waste my little change on travelling, lodging, and even applying for COD and it will all waste away. once again, thanks Nairalanders, |
thanks for all the convincing advices. i'm most grateful. i'll find my way to the Abuja office soon to give it a trial. |
i'm still expecting advices. thanks |
it was ignorance. the agent that did it then was the one that made a mistake from the information I sent to him via sms, but he convinced me it won't be a big deal (I was gullible) but now I have to pay for it in a big way. |
Good morning everyone, please I have this challenge and i'll appreciate your useful responses. I applied for my first international passport( e-passport) about 6years ago but because of the information I didn't have then, I used 1986 as my year of birth but now I want to change it to the normal 1985 because all other credentials have 1985. I waited for the passport to expire which it has last February, so i'm willing to do a new one but all those I spoke to said I can't change the year of birth because once I do the BIOMETRICS, it will bring up all my data even if I don't show my expired passport Please kindly advise on the steps to take to change this or even contacts that can help. I don't even mind going to Abuja for this thing to change. thanks house. This is what ignorance can cause. cc. Justwise |
