Mr President is taking time to clear the rot you people enshrined into the system; where recruitments were so fraudulent that the less competent graduates occupy our government establishments rather than the best, where ministries and parastatals were fraudulent empires rather than government institutions for development, where ministers and government staff were treasury usurpers rather than agents of development, where government officers now require more than their jumbo pay salaries to perform even below basic expectation, where government officials now leave their jobs to chase after contracts, jumbo pay approvals and allocations from the presidency, most of which are dedicated to internal consumption rather than project development etc etc etc..

It will take a little longer Mr PDP, I know that all you want now is to know who the ministers are so that you will "nicodemously" go and hustle for contracts; I know that your permanent suites at Sheraton paid with Nigeria's money are expiring soon and the plush life is being threatened.

Do you know that PDP in Nigeria is now synonymous with "poison" which should never be consumed but used to fight enemies? Do you know that If not for the want of opposition to remain, you would've been thrown into thrash, locked up and the keys thrown away forever?

President –Elect, Mu h amm a du Buhari has re­assured that his administration will crush the Boko Haram militants within two months of his assuming office.

General Buhari spoke yesterday evening during an interview with Chris­tiane Amanpour on CNN, monitored in Lagos.

He said there is insecu­rity in the north-east and in the Niger Delta regions just as he explains “we know how they started and where they are now and we will rapidly give attention to security in the country. And I believe we will ef­fectively deal with them in two months when we get into office.”

He said the Federal Government made some mistakes in its fight against Boko Haram and his ad­ministration will addressed the issues. Buhari however stressed the importance of the support and assistance of Nigeria’s neighbours: Niger, Cameroon and Chad to help checkmate the mili­tants.

“We will be needing the cooperation of neighbour­ing countries such as Cam­eroon, Chad and Niger. There were efforts made by the President Goodluck Jonathan administration, but it was not good enough and it came rather late,” he said.

But where did the Jona­than administration go wrong. Buhari drew atten­tion to the poor showing of the Nigerian military in the fight against Boko Haram and explained thus: “We expected the Federal Gov­ernment four years ago to sit down with these coun­tries and make sure they do not allow the terrorists free movement across bor­ders, training facilities and movement of weapons.

“These were only done a few months ago and we have seen how Cameroon, Chad and Niger are fighting Boko Haram more than Ni­geria is doing until recently. Really we have seen enough and we have enough law enforcement to face Boko Haram squarely.”

Buhari is confident that under his government, the Nigeria Army will perform differently. He also said the performance of the military was affected by corruption in the system.

“They will…if you re­call, the Nigerian soldiers out of all ethical expecta­tions were granting inter­views to foreign journalists, saying they were being sent to fight terrorists without proper weapons

“And then the National Assembly attempted to conduct a hearing to find out how much money was approved for training and weapon in the last three years but that hearing was scuttled by the administra­tion.”

His retreat from the limelight coincides with a looming sense of economic crisis, and shocking allegations that a police figure close to a key Putin ally - the ruler of Chechnya Ramzan Kadurov - ordered Nemtsov's brutal killing.

The 62-year-old's unusual absence has dented his tough guy image, according to some correspondents.

His aides scrambled to explain he was healthy and his macho handshake remained so strong "it breaks your hand".

But on Thursday he failed to attended a key session with his FSB secret service, postponed another important meeting over a breakaway Georgian region, faced claims his government could resign, as well as allegations that one of his closest ex-KGB allies, Igor Sechin, boss of Rosneft, was on the point of quitting.


A day earlier he aborted a trip to Kazakhstan with a source in the ex-Soviet republic claiming he was ill.


Putin was last seen in public when he met with Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi on 5 March.

Official pictures have emerged of meetings since then, but rumours say these in fact took place earlier before his sudden and unexplained disappearance.
