@ kashif
@ Ollyruffy

I have decided to get the external cooler as you advised. I searched tirelessly online and finally got the type I should use from this weblink.
It provides the type required for my car model. 2002 Dodge Durango. I'm getting it soon.
Thanks @ollyruffy and @Kashif.

Kashif:
Like you have been advised, get external cooler.

The average Chinese folks are friendly and sometimes overtly accommodating. However, a great number of ordinary Chinese people are completely ignorant of the world outside of China. They know next to nothing about other countries or cultures save for American, British, a few western/Asian countries and Japan - for all the wrong reasons. Whenever I run into those genuinely and helplessly ignorant ones, I lecture them - in a friendly way on their obvious shortcomings. But wherever I run into educated or otherwise folks who have a problem with me being dark skinned, I reduce such lots to rubbles by telling them in Chinese how irritably stupid they are. Having lived and worked in South Korea, and visited Japan, I can tell you China isn't the only country with tons of ignoramus. The best way to beat such lots at their game is to learn their language. The look on their faces when I speak Chinese is priceless! grin
All the best bro...One love!

[quote author=chukxie post=52625734]That "hei GUI" is bad o...( Black Devil) and the *Fei Zhou* in typical core Chinese ( The land of nothin)attributed to diseases, war ,famine, we walk naked with leaves, lack of food and water) in general a very poor *continent. Well many of them still think Africa is a country.
We are both on the same side bro. I did a search on the word "Chinko" on Naira land car talk section alone, you can guess how many times it's been used. In fact you won't imgaine how many times the search result will come up with if you do the search on the Nairaland as a whole. I love the Chinese, I mean the friendly, respectable, mannered ones, though very few, this is as a result of their culture, upbringing and exposure. I even learn some of the local dialects in my area Anhui. Those offensive words in their local dialect is the worst. You wish you don't understand.
However,I make sure i wear my bullet proof because you can't know exactly when the bullets will come and I am always ready to give it back to them as it comes.

Actually I know what it is because I speak Chinese . Regardless of that, I just don't go calling Chinese people "Chinks", lao zhong, huang gui 鬼 etc when I've not been provoked.
Likewise brother, been here 12 years and counting. I hear it every day. The truth must be told. Point of correction it is however a common language here in NAIJA..* Chinko* that's why I used it...no pun intended.

In every ramification, they always break the law and gets away with it. Not only has this auto industry helped their economy, but has put them above the strongest economies in the world, so also in other areas they imitate and doing well in it. Their style of governance made thing work easier and faster since ORDER is direct from above. I haven't seen any Democratic country developing at this pace in the last 2 decades. I really envy their capability. Hope Nigeria can learn a lesson or two from them. * not the negative part o*

I hope you know "Chinks" is a racial slur like 'Nigga'.
Back to the matter. If Nigerian copied automobile, electrical, engineering, scientific etc innovations like the Chinese do, our nation would have been great by now. Honestly, I respect the Chinese for the enviable development they have achieved since opening up.
Do you have any idea what names they called us blacks in China?. I hope you don't wish to learn the language then you will know what a racial slur actually means.

With the way these Chinese peeps copy, I am beginning to wonder if they don't respect/recognise patent rights. Abi Land Rover doesn't have automobile patent to protect her design(s)?

I can see the Chinese govt. does a lot to protect her indigenous companies in cases like this.

This is just too much.
It's a perfect clone of the Evoque.
Had to go read 'bout it (the controversy and 'similarities') they should settle themselves.
Right on point!.

If there is availability of working health insurance in Nigeria, it could make things better. Nigeria has a long way to go. However, the woman is heartless, she carried those innocent babies for nine painful months and to neglect them at the expense of 150k naira.....Too bad! She should be send to a correction camp and rehabilitation center whenever she's been arrested. No justification for her actions.

I don't know if you dont mind me getting your contact number if you are based in Nigeria or how can I get in touch apart from Nairaland forum. I need more insight into this. I really wouldn't want just anybody to touch anything in the car except by an expert.
Thanks.

External transmission coolers are small radiator-like heat exchanger and could be of 3 types.
1. Tube and fin Type
2. Plate and fin type
3. Stacked plate type

These above are normally installed in front of the AC condenser and they are cooled with the radiator fans. The hose from the transmission is run to the input of the cooler while another hose is run from the output of the cooler to the transmission. Ensure you get the cooler with its inlet and outlet having same size with your transmission hose sizes for easy installation.

These cooler are available on Amazon and other online stores and they are easy to install. Ensure you buy the one with the right GVWR rating for your vehicle if you plan to be towing with the vehicle.

https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=transmission+cooler

After the installation, ensure to add additional transmission fluid and check the level is current as recommended by the car manufacturer.

If you have no space in front of the condenser, there are coolers that come with fan and thermostat assembly. These can be installed remotely with the engine hood where you have enough space. The fan will come on and off as controlled by the thermostat.

My point is, NEVER make permanent decisions based on "reviews".

Want to buy a car? Meet with dealers you can actually SEE, and inspect their vehicles. It's common sense.

Experience is the best teacher. I'm sure the OP has learnt.

Happy Holidays.

Temperature is the worst enemy of auto transmissions. Therefore driving without any form of cooling is gambling with your transmission. Replace the radiator ASAP or you can install an additional auto transmission cooler if you want to bypass the trans oil cooling through the radiator.
My car has been running like this for over 4 years, radiator was disconnected from the transmission because water get mix with oil all the time.. I'd love to know more about this or should I say I am more interested in how to by pass the trans oil cooling through the radiator by installing an additional auto transmission cooler.
