The Rivers Ijaw People’s Congress has announced its decision to abandon Governor Siminilayi Fubara of Rivers State, and pledged allegiance to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mr Nyesom Wike. Chairman of the congress, Senator George Sekibo, announced the group’s decision during Wike's “thank you” visit to Okrika Local Government Area of the state on Saturday. Sekibo described the feud between Fubara and Wike as “very unfortunate”, stressing however that the Ijaw people were not ungrateful people. He recalled how Wike supported the emergence of Fubara, an Ijaw son, as governor of Rivers State and was widely supported by the people across the state. “Please don't look at him and think we are all ungrateful people. Ijaw people are very grateful people. “That is why we abandoned him (Fubara) and said we will follow you. You have done so much for Ijaw people in Rivers. Whatever you say we should do, is what we will do,” he said. Sekibo assured the minister of the Ijaw people’s support and pledged complete loyalty to President Bola Tinubu. “We are grateful people and that is why we are following you. We will not leave you because you have been there for us,” he added. Earlier, Chairman of Okrika Local Government Council, Mr Akuro Tobin, described Wike as his “political godfather”. Tobin added that the minister equally supported many sons and daughters of the area to occupy various political offices, both elective and appointments. He assured the minister that the men, women and youths of the LGA were solidly behind him and Tinubu. Speaking on behalf of Okrika women, Mrs Linda Stewart, Deputy Speaker of the Rivers State Assembly, representing Okrika Constituency, said Wike's support to women was unprecedented, and prayed for him to succeed in all his endeavours. Wike, in his remarks, thanked the people for their support and for standing firm with Tinubu. He described Tinubu as a man who keeps his promise, and urged the people of Okrika to continue to support people with good and trusted character. The minister, who also visited the ‘Amanyanabo’ of Okochiri Kingdom, King Akete Tom, in his place, commended the traditional leader for keeping his people united. He told the monarch that a decision had been made on the 2027 election, adding that his children would tell him the details in due course. He, however, appealed to the traditional ruler not to interfere with the upcoming political activities but advise the people whenever they go wrong. “It is not going to be business as usual. Allow us to play our game, and if there is any problem, call us to settle,” the minister said.

The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has made four telephone numbers available to residents of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to report uncleared refuse. This is aimed at addressing the growing waste problem in the FCT by ensuring that waste management contractors do their jobs as at when due. Senior Special Assistant to the FCT Minister on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka, urged members of the public to send pictures and videos of uncleared refuse to the phone numbers through WhatsApp. He said the location of the pictures and videos should be specified to identify the contractors covering the areas. The Agaba of Jiwa Chiefdom in Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Alhaji Idris Musa, has supported Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Renewed Hope Ambassadors, a group working for the reelection of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, with a sum of N1 million. The traditional ruler made the donation when members of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors were led to his palace by its Coordinator, Hon Adamu Abdullahi, on Wednesday. The monarch expressed profound appreciation to President Tinubu for his leadership and his choice of Minister for the FCT, praising the President for appointing Barrister Nyesom Wike and further commending him for finding Hon Adamu Abdullahi, whom he described as his son, worthy of coordinating the Renewed Hope Ambassadors in the FCT. He declared his unreserved commitment to the President’s reelection, stating that within his influence in the FCT and beyond, he would personally lead efforts to mobilise support for President Tinubu. The Ona of Abaji, Dr. Baba Yunusa Ugbada, has hailed the developmental strides of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Federal Capital Territory (FCT) through the Minister, Nyesom Wike, describing the Minister as a true ambassador of the President. The Monarch, who is also the Chairperson of FCT Royal Chiefs, spoke when Hon. Adamu Abdullahi led members of the FCT Renewed Hope Ambassadors to pay him a courtesy on Thursday. The visit was aimed at familiarizing the ambassadors with the traditional rulers, strengthening relationships and seek their support for the administration of President Tinubu, as well as seeking their blessings and guidance of the traditional rulers. The Ona of Abaji, Abaji Area Council of the FCT, who praised the FCT Minister for his efforts at developing the FCT, especially the satellite towns called for more infrastructure and interventions in the education sector to liberate the people. The Renewed Hope Ambassadors also visited Gwargwada, Rubochi, Yaba, Wako, Pai, and Zuba chiefdoms. The Chief of Pai, in Kwali Area Council, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Pai, commended the administration for the extensive road network, which he said has made it easier for farmers to bring their produce to the capital. Also, the Agora of Zuba, Engr. Muhammad Bello Umar, expressed confidence in the ambassadors' ability to serve the FCT and pledged continued support for the progress and unity of the territory. Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has vowed that founding leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will not allow individuals who defected from other parties to undermine or “kill” the party. Speaking during the 104th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held at his Abuja residence on Sunday, Wike condemned a faction of the party for flouting court orders and conducting what he described as an *illegal convention*. He accused the group of disregarding two valid Federal High Court judgments, only to seek refuge in a State High Court through an ex-parte order. “You went to a State High Court to sue INEC, asking that the convention must take place, and you got an ex-parte order to override judgments of the Federal High Court. How do you disobey two final judgments and still claim leadership?” Wike queried. He faulted the faction for returning to court to seek validation after having already violated lawful rulings. “You had the convention without obeying the court, and now you are back asking a Federal High Court to recognize you. If INEC already recognizes you, what exactly are you going to court for?” he added. Wike warned that persistent lawlessness could imperil the future of the PDP, stressing that leadership must be rooted in honesty, discipline, and respect for judicial processes. “We must not allow our party to die. Leadership requires commitment and honesty, not propaganda. If we don’t respect our own laws, how do we earn respect from Nigerians?” he said. At the meeting, the Board of Trustees (BoT) Chairman, Senator Mao Ohuabunwa, called on NEC to immediately constitute a Caretaker Committee, noting that the tenure of the current National Working Committee (NWC) ends tomorrow. Ohuabunwa explained that the move is in line with the party’s constitution and is necessary to ensure continuity, unity, and stability. He highlighted ongoing efforts to appoint caretaker structures in states and zones including Anambra and the South-East where earlier congresses could not hold, describing the step as vital to preventing leadership gaps and strengthening internal reforms. As PDP faces critical internal challenges, party stakeholders say respect for court orders and collective discipline will determine its path to rebuilding ahead of future national elections.

FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, inspecting the ongoing construction of Interchange Bridge and Road linking Maitama, Gishiri and Jahi with Gwarinpa today. The project is titled; Full scope development of Arterial Road N16 (Shehu Shagari Way) from Ring Road II to Ring Road III with Two Interchange Bridges at N16/RRII and N16/RIII intersections. The portion from RRI to Arterial Road N20 (Solomon Lar Way) within Katampe District was developed and commissioned by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to mark 2nd year Anniversary of his Administration. The portion from N20 to RRII is being developed under Jahi District Infrastructure Project, leaving the undeveloped portion from RRIII to Arterial Road N40 to link the road that leads to the Renewed Hope Estate in Karsana Districts. The portion of this Arterial Road N16 under reference traverses the Gwarimpa Housing Estate and this segment of the road when developed will provide access to the Gwarimpa Housing Estate located within Bunkoro and Wupa Districts as well as Sector Center E which is the hub of commercial and social activities comprising group of four districts namely; Gwarimpa II - C03, Kafe - C05, Wupa - C15 and Bunkoro - C18 Districts in Phase III of the Federal Capital City.

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike has appointed Town Planner Mukhtar Usman Galadima as the Senior Special Assistant on Development Control and Planning. A statement on Wednesday, by the Minister's Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, described Galadima, as a seasoned Town Planner, with over 30 years of experience in the FCTA Department of Development Control (Abuja Metropolitan Management Council) and Satellite Towns Development Agency. Mukhtar Galadima, who became the Director, Department of Development Control in 2016, retired from the Civil Service last month. He was a member of several ministerial committees, including the Abuja Masterplan Restoration Task Team, Review of Revoked Titles and Change of Land Use. The appointment takes immediate effect. Africa woke up again to the unsettling news of another military seizure of power, this time in Guinea-Bissau. The justification offered by the junta was a familiar one: a disputed election. That explanation, however, only scratches the surface of a wider crisis that continues to undermine stability across the continent. Elections in many African countries have become dangerously unpredictable events, not because citizens lack the will to choose their leaders, but because the institutions tasked with managing those choices are often compromised long before a single vote is cast. The reality, uncomfortable as it may be, is that election management bodies, security agencies, and even some election monitors and observers frequently become actors in the manipulation of results. These institutions, which should serve as the guardrails of democracy, instead tilt the playing field in favor of powerful political interests. When electoral processes are deliberately distorted and outcomes are engineered rather than earned, the inevitable result is public distrust. This distrust quickly escalates into protests, violence, destruction of property, and in some cases, the kind of national instability that creates a vacuum for military intervention. In moments when the political class pushes a nation to the brink, the Armed Forces become the last institution still capable of preventing total collapse. To stand idly by while politicians drive their countries toward crisis would itself be a dereliction of duty. The military, whether people appreciate it or not, remains the final guarantor of the state. When all civilian institutions fail, when violence spreads unchecked, and when politicians flee abroad with their families, it is the military that remains to restore order and prevent the complete disintegration of the nation. Sudan offers a sobering example. In a country where politicians created rival militias for factional advantage, the national army became the only barrier preventing irreversible national fragmentation once those militias turned their guns on the state. This reality does not glorify military rule. It simply exposes a painful truth: military coups in Africa are not the disease; they are symptoms of a deeper democratic malfunction. As long as the continent continues to operate democracies that are hollow in form and corrupted in practice, the cycle of coups will remain unbroken. The fundamentals of democracy must be strengthened if Africa is to move beyond the era of military intervention. Electoral bodies must be independent, credible, and shielded from political influence. Security agencies must act as protectors of voters, not tools of intimidation. Institutions must be stronger than individuals, with a judiciary capable of delivering justice that citizens can trust. Political systems must become inclusive enough to ensure that losing an election does not equate to political extinction. And above all, the rule of law must be upheld without fear or favor. Until these foundations are rebuilt, elections will continue to generate crises rather than resolve them, and the continent will remain vulnerable to military interventions that are triggered not by ambition, but by the collapse of democratic order. The uncomfortable conclusion, therefore, is that military takeovers—however undesirable—will continue to occur whenever political leaders undermine the very democratic structures they claim to defend. If Africa genuinely wants to end its cycle of coups, then it must first end the behaviors that provoke them. As long as elections remain compromised, institutions remain weak, and governance is treated as a private enterprise rather than a public trust, the military will continue to be called upon as the emergency brake preventing nations from spiraling into chaos. Africa does not need more coups; it needs democracy that works. But until democracy becomes real, military takeovers will remain, in the eyes of many citizens, the last resort when everything else has failed. Capt. Bishop C. Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Barr. Nyesom Wike, has expressed dissatisfaction with the pace of work at the ongoing Judges quarter and Court of Appeal complex at Daki Biyu jabi Abuja, warning that the contractor is unlikely to meet the revised December completion deadline. Wike spoke on Wednesday during an inspection tour of the project, where he noted that although significant progress had been made, the finishing phase was dragging beyond acceptable timelines. “Initially, the contractors agreed to complete this project by September, but they wrote to request an extension to December due to some setbacks,” Wike said. “However, from what I have seen here today, I do not believe this project will be completed by December. It may even be difficult in January. That is not what we expected at all.” The Minister acknowledged that some sections visited showed satisfactory progress but insisted that the overall pace remained below the standard required for a project of such national importance. Speaking on the significance of the project to Nigeria’s justice system, Wike emphasised that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration is committed to strengthening the judiciary through improved welfare and infrastructure. “You cannot talk about confidence in the judiciary without talking about investment in infrastructure and judicial welfare,” the Minister said. “These are the things that give judicial officers the confidence to discharge their duties.” Wike added that creating a conducive environment for judges is essential for sustaining public trust in the justice system. “If you don’t have confidence in the judiciary, you cannot be sure of the future of our democracy. What we are doing here is creating the right environment for them to put in their best and maintain public trust in their work,” he stated. Three Chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Austin Nwachukwu, Hon. Amah Abraham Nnanna and Mr Turnah Alabh George, have petitioned the National Judicial Council (NJC), requesting the immediate investigation and punishment of Justice A.L. Akintola of the Oyo State High Court for alleged abuse of judicial process. The trios are plaintiffs in the Abuja Federal High Court Suit Number FHC/ABJ/CS/2120/2025, judgment on which stopped the planned November 15 and 16, 2025 National Elective Convention of the PDP. The petition was titled; Petition against Honourable Justice A.L Akintola of the Hugh Court of Oyo State for His Lordship's Judicial Act of Recklessness, Impunity and Flagrant Violation of the Known and Very Well Established Due Process of Law." It reads; "This Petition is against Justice A.L. Akintola of the High Court of Oyo State which in our opinion amounts to an act of judicial indiscretion and abuse of Office. "The said Judge had gone ahead to issue an Ex-Parte Injunction mandating the Peoples Democratic Party to go ahead with its Convention earlier slated for 15th and 16th November 2025 despite the fact that the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja had delivered a Judgment forbidding the holding of the said Convention in Suit Number FHC/ABJ/CS/2120/2025 Between Hon Austine Nwachukwu & 2 Others and INEC & 8 Others. "The Injunction issued by Justice Akintola amounts to sitting on appeal against the Judgment of the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja in the above mentioned Suit. Copy of the Judgment of the Federal High Court with specific attention to pages 88 - 93 where the Federal High Court specifically ruled and ordered as per Reliefs Number 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 respectively to the effect that the PDP is not entitled to hold convene or conduct its national convention scheduled for the 15th and 16th days of November, 2025 is hereby attached. "For the purpose of introduction, we were the Plaintiffs in the said Suit Number FHC/ABJ/CS/2 120/2025 which culminated into a Court Judgment delivered in our favour on 31st October 2025. The said Judgment forbade and restrained the Peoples' Democratic party from proceeding with its planned National Convention slated for 15th and 16th November 2025 due to the failure of the PDP to fulfill certain mandatory requirements which are conditions prrecedent to the holding of the said Convention. "Your lordship, the choice of Ibadan, Oyo State and in particular, the choice of Justice A.L. Akintola's Court for the hearing of a fresh Suit and the grant of an Ex-Parte Injunction against the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC), Peoples Democratic Party and its National Officers whose Headquarters are in Abuja raises serious Suspicions and calls for deep scrutiny considering the fact that it was the same Justice A.L. Akintola that was chosen to head the Local Government Elections Tribunal to hear Petitions arising from the Local Government Elections conducted by Governor Makinde's administration in Oyo State. "Even a non-Lawyer knows that a State High Court lacks the authority to function as an appellate Court over a decision of the Federal High Court. Therefore, the Ex-Parte Order made by Justice A.L. Akintola despite the conclusive determination of a similar Suit at the Federal High Court with finality undermines and further casts aspersions on the Judicial Reforms being championed by the Chief Justice of Nigeria. By Justice A.L. Akintola's Ex-Parte Order, his lordship had thus appointed and constituted himself into an appellate Court and had sat on appeal over the judgment of the Federal High Court and varied same via an Ex-Parte Order. "His lordship cannot feign ignorance of the judgment of the Federal High Court on the same subject matter because Justice Omotosho's judgment was not only widely televised on many National Media Houses like NTA, TVC, Arise News, Channels Television and others but also circulated and reported on many National Dailies like Daily Trust Newspaper, The Nation as well as other online News Media. "In the light of the foregoing, we hereby appeal to your Lordship to cause a probe of the circumstances leading to the unwarranted grant of an Ex-Parte Order by lustice A.L. Akintola of the High Court of Oyo State and to ensure that the learned Judge faces punishment if found wanting. Doing this will ensure that the Judicial space is sanitized and made uncomfortable for Judges who lend themselves as willing tools in the compromise of the ethos upon which Judicial authority rests." In an affidavit deposed to by one of the petitioners, Hon. Amah Abraham Nnanna, he stated as follows; "I am the PDP Chaiman of Abia State by the virtue of which I am very well conversant with this case. "I am one of the Plaintiffs in Suit No: FHC/CS/2120/2025 in which Hon. Justicc J.K. Omotosho delivercd judgment on the 31st day of October, 2025 against INEC, PDP and the National Executives of PDP sued as 3rd to 9th Defendants. "I know that from the CTC of the judgment that INEC and PDP were clearly directed not to proceed with the National Convention of the PDP slated for l5th and 16th of November, 2025 until certain conditions are met. "I know as a fact that none of the Defendants have appealed against the said judgment delivered on the 31st day of October, 2025. "To our dismay, as Plaintiffs in the said judgment, Hon. A.L. Akintola of the High Court of Justice of Oyo State constituted himself into the Court of Appeal of Nigeria and set aside the said judgment of the Court on the 3rd of November, 2025. "I hereby verify that the entire facts stated in our petition are nothing but the truth of the situation and circumstances of the judgment of the Federal High Court and the Exparte Order delivered by Hon Justice A.L. Akintola which automatically set aside the Order of the Federal High Court." |

The Breathe Clean Air Abuja project, which is scheduled for launch on November 13, is a flagship public-private partnership initiative under the FCTA. The campaign will focus on raising awareness about the dangers of charcoal and firewood stoves, aiming to replace traditional firewood stoves with gas stoves and reach over 5,000 households across the six area councils of the FCT, particularly in underserved communities. Led by Ms. Daniella Omotola, a young Rotaractor (Rotaract Club of Omole Golden, District 9111) and behavioral advocate, the youths group included members of Rotaract Clubs in the FCT and Youth Corps members. They educated students and members of the public on environmental protection and the upcoming “Breathe Clean Air Abuja” project. Mandate Secretary, FCTA Health Services and Environment Secretariat, Dr. Dolapo Fasawe, who declared the youth-focused advocacy campaign open in Abuja on Monday, announced that the Secretariat was collaborating with Rotaract Clubs in the FCT and other stakeholders, to sensitize young people on the dangers of air pollution and the importance of adopting clean energy solutions. "Members of these clubs are to join the outreach efforts to further expand the campaign’s reach and impact among young people," she said. The campaign will focus on raising awareness about the dangers of charcoal and firewood stoves, encouraging the switch to cleaner cooking methods using Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), and promoting habits that protect the environment from pollution and hazardous substances. Speaking during the advocacy visits, Omotola said her passion was to mobilize young people, especially students in secondary and tertiary institutions, to take the lead in protecting the environment for future generations. The 2023 elections were a political awakening that exposed the fragility of Nigeria’s opposition and, more specifically, the Southeast’s negotiating power. The euphoric push for Peter Obi’s presidency, though emotionally charged, mistook passion for strategy. Power, in politics, is not dashed or gifted; it is taken through structured alliances and hard negotiations. To understand where things went wrong, one must look back at 2015. Atiku Abubakar’s defection from the PDP was not a mistake but a strategic recalibration. The political pendulum had swung North after President Yar’Adua’s death, and the North was determined to reclaim power. Buhari became the vessel of that northern consensus, backed by a broad coalition that united strange bedfellows under the APC. That coalition made victory inevitable. In 2023, however, ambition trumped strategy. Rather than building a united front, the opposition fragmented itself. The Labour Party’s rise under Peter Obi, though inspiring, became a parallel movement detached from the realities of coalition politics. The insistence that power must be “dashed” to a perceived messiah blinded many to the necessity of merger politics, the same tool that unseated PDP in 2015. As 2027 approaches, the ruling APC is consolidating its grip, absorbing defectors and widening its political base. Meanwhile, opposition parties remain divided by ego, regional sentiment, and wishful thinking. If the Obidient movement truly seeks power, it must evolve from online fervor to realpolitik, building bridges, negotiating interests, and forming alliances. Nigeria’s power game rewards strategy, not sentiment. Until opposition leaders bury pride and converge under one national coalition, history will repeat itself and 2027 will be a rerun of 2023. |

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mr Nyesom Wike, has said that no judge of the FCT will live in a rented apartment by the end of President Bola Tinubu’s first tenure. Wike made this known in Abuja on Monday, at the inauguration of the construction of housing units for the President, Court of Appeal, Chief Judges of the Federal High Court, FCT High Court, and President of Industrial Court. The minister said that the gesture was part of Tinubu’s commitment to improving the welfare and enhancing the performance of judicial officers in the country. He said he had told Tinubu that his government must show a difference in its approach to the welfare of judicial officers saying, “we can’t afford to continue to see judges living in rented houses. “Sometimes you don’t know the landlords of these houses; sometimes you don’t know their neighbours. “These judges preside over criminal matters or other serious matters indeed and of course, you never can tell what will happen. “Our judges, our judicial officers, you deserve the best, and I thank God that Mr President has made it a policy to see that during his tenure, the narrative is changed and we’re happy”. He assured the heads of the courts that the housing would be completed in 12 months, adding that the Certificate of Ownership of the houses were issued in the names because they would become their property upon retirement. He added that the ongoing construction of 40 houses – 10 for Judges of the Court of Appeal, 10 for Federal High Court Judges and 20 for Judges of the FCT High Court would be completed by the end of the year. Wike also assured the President of the National Industrial Court of Nigeria (NICN), Justice Benedict Kanyip, that the gesture would be extended to the judges of the industrial court. On her part, the FCT Minister of State, Dr Mariya Mahmoud, described the project as a collective commitment to strengthening the pillars of justice and governance in the nation’s capital. “This project is about honour, dignity, and institutional pride, providing befitting residences for our esteemed heads of courts whose wisdom and integrity uphold the rule of law in the country,” Mahmoud said. Earlier, Kanyip thanked Tinubu for approving the project, in line with his administration’s emphasis on improving judicial welfare and independence. According to him, providing safe, comfortable, and secure residences is crucial for the judiciary to function effectively without fear or external influence. “Like other public servants, judicial officers perform better when their personal security and mental well-being are assured. “This housing initiative expectedly will address these concerns, and enable the occupants to fully dedicate themselves to their judicial responsibilities.” Kanyip emphasised that judicial housing was part of the emoluments of judicial officers and enshrined in the 1999 Constitution. He commended Wike for the gesture, which described as a “practical demonstration of support for the judiciary”, that reinforces public trust in the justice system. Also speaking, the Chief Judge of the Federal Capital Territory, Justice Husseni Yusuf, acknowledged Tinubu and Wike’s leadership that situates justice at the heart of national development. The Minister explained that the two health flagship programmes represent a holistic vision of health: protecting mothers and newborns during childbirth while safeguarding families from the dangers of household air pollution. Dr Mahmoud, also noted that the initiatives symbolize the administration’s resolve to invest in both immediate healthcare needs and long-term environmental sustainability. She further explained that the Mother–Baby kits, contained essential medical items and consumables, that would support safe labour, delivery, and neonatal care for women and babies across the FCT. "No woman should face childbirth without the tools and support she needs, and no child should begin life without adequate care. "These kits reflect our deep commitment to maternal and child health and to ensuring that every mother and baby are given the best start possible", she stated. The Minister, however, described the Abuja Breathe Fresh Air Project, as a bold, forward-looking initiative designed to reduce indoor air pollution in vulnerable households. Mahmoud further emphasized that by replacing polluting fuels such as firewood, charcoal, and kerosene with smart, efficient Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cookers, the administration is addressing one of the silent but deadly health risks in the homes: respiratory disease caused by smoke inhalation. She affirmed that these two transformative programmes are part of a broader transformation under the Renewed Hope Agenda. Speaking further, Mahmoud said the administration has strengthened its workforce through improved conditions, and training investments, while infrastructure upgrades—from hospital renovations including call rooms to the establishment of a Public Health Emergency Operations Centre—have boosted efficiency and resilience. She, therefore, used the occasion of Nigeria 65th independence anniversary to call on Nigerians to recommit themselves to building an FCT where every home is healthier, every birth is safer, and every breath is cleaner. One of the projects is the procurement of integrated (hybrid) solar lighting in the District of Abuja City and Expressway under the Light Up Abuja Programme Lot 1: Maitama, Asokoro, Wuse, Central Business District (CBD) Airport Expressway, Lot II: Katampe, Garki I and II, Mabushi, Gudu, Jabi and Katampe Extension. Other projects to be flagged-off by the Minister include; full scope development of Arterial Road N1 from Wuye District to Ring Road II, construction of Northern Parkway from Ring Road II to Ring Road III, provision of access road to Bus Terminal at Mabushi District Cadastral Zone B06; Phase II of FCC, full scope development of Arterial N20 (Solomon Lar Way) from Arterial Road N5 (Obafemi Awolowo Way) to the Airport Expressway, provision of access road to the Renewed Hope Cities and Estates project site within Cadastral Zone D06, Karsana West District of the FCC and provision of access road bypassing Airport Second Runway from Bill Clinton Drive to Tunga Madaki Settlement with a four span bridge. Also to be flagged-off are; construction of access road to the FCT Fire Service Station and Erosion Control in Kaura District with three span Bridges, construction of transit way (2) to connect Central Area with Wuse District with two bridges, design and construction of Mohammed Isa Road Extension in Cadastral Zone A04, Asokoro District, rehabilitation of 15km old Keffi Road from Kado Village to Dei-Dei Junction and provision of engineering infrastructure to outstanding layouts within Guzape A09 Lots I and II projects areas AIT Neighborhood Asokoro A04 District. Others are the construction of Collector Road CN2 (Emmanuel I. Ogala Street) from Arterial N16 (Yemi Osinbajo way) to N20 (Wole Soyinka way) including road ILS 5 within Katampe District, as well as design and construction of Residences for the Heads of Courts (President Court of Appeal, Federal High Court Chief Judge, Chief Judge of the FCT, Abuja and President Industrial Court). It should be recalled that four weeks ago, the FCT Minister flagged off the construction and expansion of water supply to satellite towns, beginning with Bwari Township in Bwari Area Council (Lot 1) and Karu town and its environs in Abuja Municipal Area Council (Lot 2). Two weeks ago, the Minister also flagged off the construction of a multi-purpose sports centre in Abuja’s Kafe District, construction of a new Magistrate Court complex in Jabi District of Abuja and the emergency reconstruction of the Karu road from the Karu interchange to Customs Clinic Junction (Karu site) within the Abuja Municipal Area Council of the FCT, with the scope of work expanded to include the rehabilitation of additional critical roads in Karu satellite town.
