I think Moses wayward crosses has to do with his weak left foot. He might be better crosser with his strong right foot.
People think only left footers are over-reliant on one foot and are weak with the other.

We didn’t actually play 4-4-2 entirely. We played 4-1-2-3 in attack, 4-4-2 in defense.
Lol, so you watched yesterday's game and still think Chukwueze was ahead of Iheanacho in Nigeria's attacking phase? cheesy

Baba na wetin I watch for video after they sang national anthem

You're telling me what I saw while I was watching the match for hesgoal as I dey watch match.... they showed it on video and they showed the Egypt own too with commentary
Baba na guess work Skysport do with the formation on Hesgoal before match start. Iheanacho was supporting Awoniyi upfront in a 4-4-1-1. There is a reason our wingers were spamming crosses into the box for the strikers, and we were launching balls to the strikers from defence. Make una dey watch ball na.

Oga you're very wrong

Always watch match live on TV
You people are judging formation based on what was shown as formation at the beginning of the match. The coach only provides information about his selection, the formation you see highlighted on TV is all guess work.

It's not 4-4-2
more like 4-3-3
So where did Iheanacho play? And why were our supposed inside forwards spamming crosses instead of attacking space inside the box?

Not 4 4 2 bro

Coach Austin played 4 1 2 3 yesterday with Simon and Chuks play the LWF and RMF yesterday and Awoniyi as the point man

Lol, it was a 4-4-2. You think Iheanacho played as an attacking midfielder?

Simon must play from the right from now on. His final balls will be far better when delivered from his stronger right foot. Ejuke can start from the left from where he can cut in and do his thing.
Baba we are playing 4-4-2, wingers are not meant to be cutting in with that formation as they are playing as midfielders.

With Ekong's good passing range, will it be a good idea trying him as a DM given his frailties as a defender ?
We are playing with only one DM and you want that lone DM to be a make-shift central back? Who will initiate attack from the back, or you thing being a DM is about knowing how to throw long pass?

Those insulting him should also stop the nonsense. Nigerians are fond of insulting celebrities or footballers on twitter. You need to see what Frank Edoho does to trolls on twitter, the way he deals with trolls on twitter is a joy to behold .
Because you have data and have access to these people does not mean you should abuse the priviledge. I am not in any way supporting V. Osimhen actions but truth must be told. If you can stand the heat, don't stay in the kitchen.
Online trolls are useless people who have nothing to lose, Osimhen has a career to defend. In fact, Osimhen responding with his own vitriol is the attention trolls have always wanted. He will now be more targeted.

Because Simon is free, Salah is not going to come back and track his run. I'm certain it was our coach's strategy to target him.

Agreed. But why is chukwueze holding back Na..?? Lool
That is because Nigeria hasn't been attacking Egypt from Chukwueze's wing, all our attacks is from left. Do you know why?

Because Salah is always stationed forward, Simon will always get one-on-one against the Egyptian wingback.

I expect Egypt to change their formation in the 2nd half.

Why is this even an argument?

But my super eagles with the best African players are scared

Super eagles cannot loose today game ,that’s one thing I know

Smh for you all that’s scared about Egypt like say na Italy una wan play

Tueh
South Africa play better organized, technical football than Nigeria, they play the best style that can match North African football. Their problem is the talent - what they have in technicality, they lack in talent.

European clubs hardly use Africans as playmakers that's why. They only use them as gbas gbos players. That's what happens when 11 gbas gbos players face each other. The heat and the pitches aren't helping either. Mind you, Copa America was the same, just gbas gbos everywhere.
How many good playmakers are from Africa if we truly dip it. Our style of play here requires more of flair and physicality, there is a true dearth of creative players in the continent.

Name them please.
Quaresma, Fabio Coentrao, Jesus Navas, David Beckham, Willian, Antonio Valencia, Jordan Herdenson, Wan Bissaka, Bernado Silva, Coutinho.

These guys can't do shiit with their left foot, even in tight corners they are over-reliant on their right leg to move the ball.

Tell me a good striker that cannot use his weaker foot, it's a attributes in of a quality striker and in general player.

I am have watched small boy Saka in Arsenal comfortable long range with both feet, same with Eze.

The same with Kane, Mane, even Salah has some degree of proficiency with his right foot . Or Messi, Ronaldo, Benzema.

It's not prejudice it's an attribute of a complete quality player.
You do not seem to get my argument. My point is why don't people also criticize players for being extremely right-footed like they do for left-footed players. I can count 10 players off the top of my head who can't do shit with their left foot but no one mentions this when discussing their weakness.

Don't understand why people point at a player being extremely left-footed, as a sort of flaw to their game. There are more extremely right-footed players in football and no one mentions this about their game. Still can't understand the prejudice.

I don't want better, I want organized. I want to be able to keep possession for an extended period by playing short passes on the ground from defense to midfield to attack. I want a fluid team that attacks together and defends together. I want a team that plays triangles in the attacking third, a team that plays through passes.

Come to think of it, I haven't seen any through pass in all the AFCON games I have watched so far. I remember watching the Euros and seeing at least one through pass a game, inttercepted or not. That tells you how poor African football is.
How many players dey throw through pass for history of African football? Lol. Through pass requires creativity, if there is anything African football has always lacked, it is creativity. We have enough players with flair and physicality but the continent is lacking creative players.
