Christianity Etc › Re: Millionaire Pastors and their Poor Members by Sibrah: 9:44pm On Nov 01, 2014 |
What some of these net worth rating agencies are doing is half baked persecution. You claim pastors are so rich compared to their members but failed to delve into their charity work. The bible talks about not letting the right hand know what the left hand is doing pertaining to charity in mathew 6:3. As it is today there are people who genuinely beleive there is a good God and those who beleive there is none. What stops an unbeilever masking as one from claiming he or she has charity works worth billion to sway people into giving to his/her church OR what will make a believer start boasting about his or her charity works? The analysir Mr OP presented hardly proves anything. |

Politics › Re: I Will Beat You To Death Anytime I Catch You – Tompolo Warns Festus Keyamo by Sibrah: 2:17am On Oct 31, 2014 |
brainpower: I don't support violence and threat to people's lives but each time any of these ex militants is mentioned everyone cries Jonathan. Go and get details about Tompolo, the man was already rich before GEJ, and even if Yar adua or OBJ was still there, he would have still made the threat cos that's the only language they know. And moreover in Nigerian politics, we use any weapon that's at our disposal, if GEJ keeps using these men then it means its working for him.
In the west we have OPC while in the North we have ACF, Sharia and Boko haram, yet these same militants from the south are crying in their own way for what they believe and yet we hate them. If you ever live in the creeks, you will know how loved these people are, and they always care for their families. So whenever militants are mentioned, some people shouldn't always use it to score political points by mentioning GEJ. Whether he is good or not, GEJ is going to win the coming election, I don't see it happening any other way, anyone who thinks otherwise is living under illusions cos Nigeria isn't America and we still have our religious and ethnic differences which are the major fatcors that determine elections not nairaland and twitter and FOI.
Keyamo did the right thing by petitioning the IGP and I hope the IGP will take necessary measures to settle things cos this may lead to a serious ethnic trouble. Moreover Keyamo accpeted that he and Tompolo are acquintances. Brainpower uhh! +ve or -ve? |

ediko5: Even with the help of some application. You did large development work. Web designing business in Nigeria is so disgusting and embarrassing. Imagine people building eCommerce website for 5k simply because they have free access to eCommerce themes and plugins. I prefer to call such a work web uploading because such a site probably has just enough items uploaded into it to help appreciate the look of the template. In sane climes, an organisation with an e-commerce platform should have a hand in-house to help maintain the website. Imagine that staff being paid 5k alone! Even the so called static sites require update of info from time to time, re-theming of site for events like anniversary and theme update for new features like new bar, gallery or accordion being added. What we have most time a guy who can quickly set up CMSes in 5 days but can't extend the theme, database or code of the CMS claiming a webmaster status. If u don't know what a webmaster is all about why not specialize in a section of web related services instead of using generic titles that puts too-weight on your shoulders. |

Billyonaire: The Article is dated May 16, 2012, why dig old news out just to discredit Tukur, Boko Haram as at 2012 was fighting for justice, a revenge for their execution of Yusuf, now its a terrorist organization.
The dynamics have changed between then and now. It is d same story since 2009 . . . Mosque gets bombed the Imam alone is almost hit and a Church gets bombed the pastor and lots of member die. Some group of politicians have always tried to indirectly express public support for Boko Haram in a bid to get political support they may not even need at the end . . . |
