WALKING IN LOVE WILL FREE YOU FROM UNTIMELY DEATH

I went to hold a meeting for a fellow in the state of Oklahoma, and I was glad on that occasion that I went by myself (without my wife). At that time the children were small, and my wife couldn't travel with me all the time. This pastor lived in a nice parsonage, and his church was one of the better well-made brick churches in that area. You have to understand that back in those days, not many Full Gospel churches were made of brick. Some wooden churches existed, but there were very few brick churches. But this pastor's church was one of the nicest churches in this town, and so was his parsonage. Well, holding a meeting in this church, I had another opportunity to work no ill toward my neighbor. You see, this man gave me accommodations out back behind his parsonage—in his chicken coop! He hadn't even cleaned it out very well; there were chicken droppings all around. He just put a bed out there, and that's where he put me……

……Well, you can imagine how you'd feel about that. And, of course, I've got the flesh to deal with just like you do. My flesh rose up, and I thought, I don't have to put up with this! I'll just leave. But then I realized that I couldn't leave because it might hurt the flock of God. They would wonder why I'd left, and they would have gotten suspicious of their pastor. You see, love worketh no ill to his neighbor, and God's love in us never takes account of a suffered wrong. So I couldn't do that. I decided to tough it out and stay one week so it wouldn't make the pastor look bad. I said to the Lord, "Lord, I'll tell You what I'll do. I know the meeting is set up to go longer, but I will finish out the week." In the first meeting, I announced that I'd only preach through Sunday night. I made it look as good on the pastor as I could, and I left on Sunday night…….

……You ask, "Whatever happened to him?" He died at age 39 with cancer of the throat. That was the last church he ever pastored. In fact, he wasn't even pastoring a church when he died. He was working in a grocery store. You see, if you don't walk in love, dear friends, you just throw yourself wide open to the devil's attacks. You'll find out that one reason there is so much sickness in the Body of Christ even among preachers is that believers don't walk in love toward one another. Then people can't get healed until they make adjustments in their heart and begin to walk in love toward one another. Walking in the love of God is the way to prosper in life. You can't prosper in God if you don't treat other people right or if you're holding on to grudges in your heart. (Kenneth E. Hagin)

EVER MET A WOMAN OF REAL PRAYER?

At one time I was so bound that no human power could help me. My wife was looking for me to pass away. There was no help. At that time I had just had a faint glimpse of Jesus as the Healer. For six months I had been suffering from appendicitis, occasionally getting temporary relief. I went to the mission of which I was pastor, but I was brought to the floor in awful agony, and they brought me home to my bed. All night I was praying, pleading for deliverance, but none came. My wife was sure it was my home call and sent for a physician.

He said that there was no possible chance for me -- my body was too weak. Having had the appendicitis for six months, my whole system was drained, and, because of that, he thought that it was too late for an operation.

He left my wife in a state of broken-heartedness. After he left, there came to our door a young man and an old lady. I knew that she was a woman of real prayer. They came upstairs to my room. This young man jumped on the bed and commanded the evil spirit to come out of me. He shouted, "Come out, you devil; I command you to come out in the name of Jesus!"

There was no chance for an argument, or for me to tell him that I would never believe that there was a devil inside of me. The thing had to go in the name of Jesus, and it went, and I was instantly healed.

I arose and dressed and went downstairs. I was still in the plumbing business, and I asked my wife, "Is there any work in? I am all right now, and I am going to work." I found there was a certain job to be done and I picked up my tools and went off to do it. Just after I left, the doctor came in, put his plug hat down in the hall, and walked up to the bedroom. But the invalid was not there.

"Where is Mr. Wigglesworth? he asked. "O, doctor, he's gone out to work," said my wife. "You'll never see him alive again," said the doctor; "they'll bring him back a corpse."

Well, I'm the corpse.
Since that time, in many parts of the world, the Lord has given me the privilege of praying for people with appendicitis; and I have seen a great many people up and dressed within a quarter of an hour from the time I prayed for them. We have a living Christ who is willing to meet people on every line. (Smith Wigglesworth)

PROPHESYING MONEY OUT OF PEOPLE’S POCKET?

Years ago I knew a number of couples who got married because some so-called prophet prophesied to them, telling them they should marry. Every single one of those marriages failed because they looked to a so-called prophet to guide them instead of the Holy Spirit residing within. Don't marry someone just because some so-called prophet prophesies to you.

For example, forty years ago one fellow I knew married a woman because someone prophesied that he should. It wasn't God's will, and it got him off track with God. He's been out of the ministry all these years and just recently got back in the ministry God had for him all those years. People are in danger when they go around trying to regulate other people's lives from the prophet's office.

I remember one fellow I knew several years ago who was called to the office of the prophet. But he got off into error because he thought he should prophesy all the time; he put prophesying before the Word! He had a message for practically everyone he met. He'd even stop people on the street to give them a "word" from God.

He didn't have a message from God for all those people! I tried to help him and tell him about the scriptural operation of prophetic office, but he wouldn't listen. God had mightily used him at one time when he was walking in the light of the Word. One of my own board members told me how God had used this prophet in his own life. This board member was in one of this prophet's meetings. The board member told me, "That man didn't know a thing about me. But suddenly in the middle of his sermon, he stopped, pointed to me, and said, 'Come up here.' Then he told me exactly what was wrong with me physically, laid hands on me, and I was instantly healed."

God had used this prophet mightily along that line. Later I had an opportunity to meet him because we were both staying in this board member's home for a short time. Every few minutes this "prophet" would prophesy to me. He had been in the house about twenty minutes, and he prophesied to me nineteen times! I didn't pay any attention to it. Not a word of it was so.

I told him, "You've distorted the office of the prophet. It's not what you think it is. The prophet doesn't just go around giving personal prophecies to everyone. He is first and foremost a preacher or a teacher of the Word of God." But he wouldn't listen to me. He even tried to give personal messages to every church member in every church where he preached! He did that even when the Holy Spirit wasn't manifesting Himself through prophecy. In other words, he did it in the flesh, and evil spirits began to accommodate him and speak through him.

As this man's ministry got further and further from God, he began to prophesy money out of people's pockets into his. You'd better watch out for those ministers who are always talking about money.

When any so-called prophet starts prophesying about money — watch out! They aren't doing it by the Spirit of God. Sooner or later they will get into trouble because that isn't scriptural. You can't find that in the Bible. This man was misled about the true function of the prophetic office. By misconstruing and misusing the prophet's office, he went bankrupt spiritually. He finally died at an early age. It's a pity because he could have been such a blessing to the Body of Christ.

We can see why it's so important to heed what Jesus said to me in the vision: "The prophet is first of all a preacher or a teacher. His main ministry is to preach or teach the Word. Prophesying is not his main ministry." A prophet who bases his ministry on personal prophecy instead of on preaching or teaching the Word will get into error and wreak havoc in the Body of Christ. IF IT BE THY WILL – WHEN TO & NOT PRAY THIS WAY

I was preaching in Dallas in 1953 for several weeks in a Full Gospel church. Then I stayed on an additional three months while the pastor took a leave of absence. Besides preaching at different times during the week, I had a daily radio program, and I also conducted some special missionary services on the weekend. One Friday night after the services had been dismissed, one of the ushers came and told me that a man and a woman from Forth Worth had come to see me. The woman was sick and wanted to be healed. I met with them, and the man related that he had been going to work one morning and had heard my radio program.

He said that I had taught on the radio that healing was for everyone. He told his wife about that statement I had made, and they began to tune in to the radio program every day. The man told me that his wife had had two serious major operations, and she was facing the third one. They had been praying that if it was the will of God for her to be healed, God would give them faith to believe that she would be healed. They had come to me so I could pray for her. I told them that it was unscriptural to pray to God for healing using the words, "If it be Thy will." When you put an "if' in your prayer in praying for anything God has promised you in His Word, you are praying in doubt. Some people think they are being humble when they pray that way, but they are really being ignorant. In other words, when you pray in faith, you don't use an "if." You will get no answer to the prayer of faith if you put "ifs" in your prayers.

But when you are praying a prayer of consecration, committing your life to the plan of God, then you can use the phrase, "If it be Thy will," because you don't know for sure what the Lord's will is. When you are praying the prayer of consecration, you are not praying to change something. But the prayer of faith is the prayer to change things. "If' is the badge of doubt, and the word "if' shouldn't be used in your prayers if you are trying to change a situation.

I had given some scriptures on the radio concerning faith, but they hadn't registered on this man whose wife was sick because he still wasn't sure it was God's will to heal his wife. I asked him, "If the New Testament said that Jesus took your wife's infirmities and bare her sicknesses, then wouldn't it be God's will for her to have her healing?" He agreed that it would. So we turned to MATTHEW 8:17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, HIMSELF TOOK OUR INFIRMITIES, and BARE OUR SICKNESSES. This man jumped up and exclaimed that it was the will of God for his wife to be healed. His wife saw it too. Then we turned to 1 PETER 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: BY WHOSE STRIPES YE WERE HEALED. Then we turned to the Book of ISAIAH 53:4,5 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

The margin reads, "Surely he hath borne our sicknesses and carried our diseases" (Isa. 53:4). This couple said that all they needed now was faith. They knew that it was God's will to heal. They said that they knew they were saved; they had gone forward in a church when an invitation was given and had prayed the sinner's prayer. So I knew that they were saved. I asked them if they had asked the Lord to give them faith to be saved when they had gone down to the altar to be saved. They said no. The man related that the pastor preached that they could be saved. The pastor had read the Word to the people.

In other words, they heard the Word concerning salvation. They had faith for salvation because the Bible says, "... faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" (Rom. 10:17). So I told them that they had faith for her healing, too, for the same reason they had had faith for salvation. They had heard the Word. This man said they were going to have to throw their first prayer away because it wasn't any good. I agreed with him. You see, as soon as the light comes, faith is there. This couple already had faith because they had heard and understood the Word. The woman agreed with us. She said that all she had to do now was to accept Jesus as her Healer. So I laid my hand on her head and prayed. Then I asked her if she was healed.

And she said that she surely was and that she knew it because the Word says so. Sunday night during the service at that same church, the vestibule doors swung open and there was that same fellow again. He asked the pastor if he could say a word to the congregation. The pastor gave him permission and the man told the congregation what had happened. He said that when he and his wife got home Friday night, she pulled her brace off and threw it into the closet, and said, "Thank God, I'm healed." The next day when he came home, he found her stooped over the sink washing her hair, something she had been unable to do. The woman had been completely healed! I also laid hands on the husband and wife, and they were filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak in tongues. Years later, the wife was still healed. How did she get faith?
From hearing the Word!

This man had also brought his mother to be prayed for, who was in a wheelchair with paralysis. After we prayed for her, she got up out of the chair and walked out of the building that night completely well. In the gospel of Jesus Christ, there is provision for every need, salvation, deliverance, safety, preservation, healing, and soundness. Whatever need you have, the faith to receive your answer comes from hearing the Word of God. As you determine to feed upon the Word continually, you will see your faith grow to be able to receive the wonderful promises God has provided for His children. (Kenneth Hagin)

WORSHIP IN SPIRIT

As I listened to Wisdom, it was difficult to comprehend anyone, even this great cloud of witnesses, desiring authority or position in His presence. It seemed that in every moment I had spent here, He had become greater in glory and authority, and I knew that my vision of Him was still limited. Just as the universe was obviously expanding at a great pace and the vastness of it was already incomprehensible, our revelation of Him would likewise be expanding for eternity. “How could mere humans ever represent You?” I questioned.

“When My Father moves His little finger, the whole universe trembles. To shake the nations with words does not impress anyone who dwells here. But when even the least of My brethren on earth shows love, it brings joy to My Father’s heart. When even the most humble church sings to My Father with true love in their hearts, He silences all of heaven to listen to them. He knows that one cannot help but to worship when they are beholding His glory here, but when those who are living in such darkness and difficulty sing with true hearts to Him, it touches Him more than all of the myriads of heaven can. Many times, the broken notes from earth caused all of heaven to weep with joy as they beheld My Father being touched. A few holy ones struggling to express their adoration for Him has many times caused Him to weep.

Every time I see My brethren touch Him with true worship, it makes the pain and grief I knew on the cross seem like a small price to pay. Nothing brings Me more joy than when you worship My Father. I went to the cross so that you could worship Him through Me. It is in this worship that you, the Father and I are all one.”

Of all that I had yet experienced, the emotion coming from the Lord as He told me this was greater than I had ever experienced. He was not weeping or laughing. His voice was steady, but what He was telling me about worship came from such depths within Him that it was almost more than I could take. I knew that I was hearing the deepest love of the Son of God—to see His Father’s joy. True worship from the embattled, struggling, believers on earth could do this like nothing else could.

For the first time, I now badly wanted to leave that place, even with all of its glory, just to get into even the most dreary little worship service on earth. I was overwhelmed by the fact that we could actually touch the Father. One person who worshiped Him from earth during these dark times meant more to the Father than the millions and millions who worshiped Him in heaven. From earth we could touch His heart at this time like we might never be able to do again! I was so overtaken by this that I did not even realize I had fallen prostrate. I then fell into something like a deep sleep.

I saw the Father. Millions and millions were attending Him. His glory was so great and the power of His presence so awesome that I felt that the whole earth would not have even measured as a grain of sand before Him. When I had once heard His audible voice, I felt like an atom standing before the sun, but when I saw Him, I knew that the sun was like an atom before Him. The galaxies were like curtains around Him. His robe was composed of millions and millions of living stars. Everything in His presence was living—His throne, His crown, His scepter. I knew that I could dwell before Him forever and never cease to marvel; there was no higher purpose in the universe than to worship Him.

Then the Father became intent on one thing. All of heaven seemed to stop and watch. He was beholding the cross. The Son’s love for His Father which continued to express through all of the pain and darkness then coming upon Him touched the Father so deeply that He began to quake. When He did, heaven and earth quaked. When the Father closed His eyes, heaven and earth grew dark. The emotion of the Father was so great that I did not think I could have survived if I had beheld this scene for more than the brief moment that I did. Then I was in a different place, beholding a worship service in a little church building. As sometimes happens in a prophetic experience, I just seemed to know everything about everyone in the battered little room. All were experiencing severe trials in their lives, but they were not even thinking of them here. They were not praying about their needs. They were all trying to compose songs of thanksgiving to the Lord. They were happy, and their joy was sincere.

I saw heaven, and all of heaven was weeping. I then saw the Father again and knew why heaven was weeping. They were weeping because of the tears in the eyes of the Father. This little group of seemingly beaten down, struggling people had moved God so deeply that He wept. They were not tears of pain, but of joy. When I saw the love that He felt for these few worshipers, I could not contain my own tears.

Nothing I had experienced gripped me more than this scene. Worshiping the Lord on earth was now more desirable to me than dwelling in all of the glory of heaven. I knew that I had been given a message that could help prepare the saints for the battles that remained on earth, but now this did not mean nearly as much to me as trying to convey how we could touch the Father. Genuine adoration expressed by even the most humble believer on earth could cause all of heaven to rejoice, but even more than that, it touches the Father. This is why the angels would rather be given charge over a single believer on the earth than to be given authority over many galaxies of stars.

I saw Jesus standing next to the Father. Beholding the joy of the Father as He watched the little prayer meeting, He turned to me and said, “This is why I went to the cross. Giving My Father joy for just one moment would have been worth it all. Your worship can cause Him joy every day. Your worship when you are in the midst of difficulties touches Him even more than all of the worship of heaven. Here, where His glory is seen, the angels cannot help but to worship. When you worship without seeing His glory in the midst of your trials, that is worship in Spirit and in truth. The Father seeks such to be His worshipers. Do not waste your trials. Worship the Father, not for what you will receive, but to bring Him joy. You will never be stronger than when you bring Him joy, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

WHITE WITCHES ARE AS DEVILISH AS BLACK WITCHES: DON’T BE DECEIVED!

As I walked close to Jesus, He stopped in front of the third cell. A bright light illumined the inside of the cell. In the cell was an old woman sitting in a rocking chair, rocking and crying as though her heart would break. I don't know why, but I was shocked to find that this woman was a real person with a body.

The cell was completely bare except for the woman in the rocking chair. The walls of the cell were constructed of light clay and dirt, molded into the earth. The front door spanned the entire front of the cell. It was made of black metal with bars of metal and a lock on it. Since the bars were set wide apart, Jesus and I had an almost unlimited view of the entire cell.

The old woman's color was ashen-flesh mixed with a grayish tint. She was rocking back and forth. As she rocked, tears rolled down her cheeks. I knew from her agonized expression that she was in great pain and was suffering from some unseen torment. I wondered what she had been charged with that she should be imprisoned here. All of a sudden, right before my eyes, the woman began to change forms-first to an old, old man, then to a young woman, to a middle-aged woman and then back to the old lady I had first seen. In shock, I watched as she went through these changes one after the other.

When she saw Jesus, she cried, "Lord, have mercy on me. Let me out of this place of torment." She leaned forward in her chair and reached for Jesus, but could not get to Him. The changing continued. Even her clothes changed, so that she was attired as a man, then a young girl, a middle aged woman and an old woman in turn. All of this changing seemed to take only a few minutes.

I asked Jesus, "Why, Lord?" Again she screamed, "O Lord, let me out of here before they return." She now stood at the front of the cell, clenching the bars with tight fists. She said, "I know Your love is real. I know Your love is true. Let me out!" Then as the woman cried in terror, I saw that something was beginning to rip the flesh from her body.

"She is not what she appears to be," said the Lord Jesus.

The woman sat back in the chair and began to rock. But now only a skeleton was sitting in the rocking chair-a skeleton with a dirty mist inside. Where there had been a clothed body only minutes ago, now there were blackened and burned bones and empty sockets for eyes. The soul of the woman moaned and cried out to Jesus in repentance. But her cries were too late.

"Back on earth," said Jesus, "this woman was a witch and a worshiper of Satan. She not only practiced witchcraft, but she taught witchcraft to others. From the time she was a child, her family practiced the black arts. They loved darkness rather than light.

"Many times," said the Lord Jesus, "I called on her to repent. She mocked Me and said, 'I enjoy serving Satan. I will keep on serving him.' She rejected the truth and would not repent of her evil. She turned many people away from the Lord, some of them are in hell with her today. If she had repented, I would have saved her and many of her family, but she would not listen.

"Satan deceived this woman into believing that she would receive a kingdom of own as her reward for serving him. He told her she would never die, but would have a life with him
forever. She died praising Satan and came here and asked him for her kingdom. Satan, the father of lies, laughed in her face and said, 'Did you think I would divide my kingdom with you? This is your kingdom.' And he locked her in this cell and torments her day and night.

"On earth this woman taught many witches, both white witches and black witches, to do their magic. One of her magical tricks was to change from a young woman, to a middle-aged woman, to an old woman-even to an old man. It was fun in those days to make the change and frighten lesser witches with her magic. But now she suffers the pains of hell, and her flesh is ripped away with each change. She cannot control it now, and keeps changing from one form to another, but her real form is the misty soul inside her skeleton. Satan uses her for his evil purposes and taunts and mocks her. Every so often she is brought back before Satan to be tormented for his pleasure.

"I called her many times, and I would have saved her. But she would not have Me. Now she begs and pleads for forgiveness, but it is too late. Now she is lost without hope." I looked at this woman who was lost forever in suffering and pain, and though she was an evil woman, my heart was broken with compassion. "Lord, how awful!" I said in tears.

And then, just as if Jesus and I were not even there, a dirty, brown demon with broken wings, about the size and shape of a large bear, came to the front of her cell and opened it with a key. He was making a loud noise as if to frighten her. The woman screamed in abject terror as he began to attack her and pull her out of the cell.

Jesus said, "This demon torments her often." I watched as she was dragged out of the cell and taken away. "Dear Lord," I asked, "is there nothing we can do?" I felt such a pity for her. "It's too late!" Jesus replied. "It's too late." (Mary K. Baxter)

LEARN ABOUT YOUR AUTHORITY IN CHRIST AND USE IT

I was holding a meeting for a pastor and his wife almost 20 years ago, and they invited me to their home. Both of them were ministers of the Gospel. As we were sitting there talking, the wife said, "Brother Hagin, I don't know how to say this to you, but this house we're living in has manifestations of evil spirits."

I don't know why she didn't do something about it. She had the authority. She just didn't know it. The pastor (he was one of the top men in his Full Gospel denomination) would hear the evil spirits go through the house and knock things over. His wife said, "I've actually spoken to one and it's spoken back to me. I've told it to go and it didn't." I said, "I'll take care of that for you." "Will you?" they asked. "We've thought about moving.'' "No," I said. "I'll take care of it. You won't ever see or hear these manifestations again in the Name of Jesus." Just sitting there at the table, speaking in an ordinary conversational tone, I said, "IN THE NAME OF JESUS I COMMAND EVERY EVIL SPIRIT TO LEAVE, AND ALL DEMONIC ACTIVITY IN THIS HOME TO CEASE." I told the couple, "Now it's gone; you'll never hear or see those demons again."

They told me last year — 19 years later — there was never another manifestation of that power. The pastor told me he almost had been embarrassed when his wife had brought the subject up. But I'm not embarrassed to know the devil and demons are real, are you? They were real in Bible times, and they're just as real now as then. I'm not afraid of them. And you ought not to be — not if you're a Christian, that is. (Kenneth Hagin)

THE DANGER OF BACKSLIDING

Ahead of us I could hear voices and the cries of a soul in torment. We walked up the small hill and looked over. A light filled the area, so I could see clearly. Cries like you have never thought possible were filling the air. They were the cries of a man.

"Listen to Me," said Jesus. "What you are about to hear is true. Take heed you ministers of the gospel, for these are faithful and true sayings. Awake, evangelists, preachers, and teachers of My Word, all of you who are called to preach the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. If you are sinning, repent or you will likewise perish."

We walked up to within fifteen feet of this activity. I saw small dark-clothed figures marching around a boxlike object. Upon closer examination, I saw that the box was a coffin and the figures marching around it were demons. It was a real coffin, and there were twelve demons marching around it. As they marched, they were chanting and laughing. Each one had a sharp spear in his hand, which he kept thrusting into the coffin through small openings that lined the outside.

There was a feeling of great fear in the air, and I trembled at the sight before me. Jesus knew my thoughts, for He said, "Child, there are many souls in torment here, and there are many different types of torment for these souls. There is greater punishment for those who once preached the gospel and went back into sin, or for those who would not obey the call of God for their lives. "

I heard a cry so desperate that it filled my heart with despair. "No hope, no hope!" he called. The hopeless cry came from the coffin. It was an endless wail of regret. "God, how awful!" I said.

"Come," said Jesus, "let's go closer." With that, He walked up to the coffin and looked inside. I followed and also looked in. It appeared that the evil spirits could not see us. A dirty-gray mist filled the inside of the coffin. It was the soul of a man. As I watched, the demons pushed their spears into the soul of the man in the coffin.

I will never forget the suffering of this soul. I cried to Jesus, "Let him out, Lord; let him out." The torment of his soul was such a terrible sight. If only he could get free. I pulled at Jesus' hand and begged Him to let the man out of the coffin.

Jesus said, "My child, peace, be still."
As Jesus spoke, the man saw us. He said, "Lord, Lord, let me out. Have mercy." I looked down and saw a bloody mess. Before my eyes was a soul. Inside the soul was a human heart, and blood spurted from it. The thrusting of the spears were literally piercing his heart.

"I will serve You now, Lord." He begged, "Please let me out." I knew that this man felt every spear that pierced his heart.
"Day and night, he is tormented," the Lord said. "He was put here by Satan, and it is Satan who torments him."

The man cried, "Lord, I will now preach the true gospel. I will tell about sin and hell. But please help me out of here."
Jesus said, "This man was a preacher of the Word of God. There was a time when he served Me with all his heart and led many people to salvation. Some of his converts are still serving Me today. Many years later, the lust of the flesh and the deceitfulness of riches led him astray. He let Satan gain the rule over him. He had a big church, a fine car, a large income. He began to steal from the church offerings. He began to teach lies. He spoke mostly half-lies and half-truths. He would not let Me correct him. I sent My messengers to him to tell him to repent and preach the truth, but he loved the pleasures of this life more than the life of God. He knew not to teach or preach any other doctrine except the truth as revealed in the Bible. But before he died, he said the Holy Ghost baptism was a lie and that those who claimed to have the Holy Ghost were hypocrites. He said you could be a drunkard and get to heaven, even without repentance.

"He said God would not send anyone to hell -that God was too good to do that. He caused many good people to fall from the grace of the Lord. He even said that he did not need Me, for he was like a god. He went so far as to hold seminars to teach this false doctrine. He trampled My Holy Word under his feet. Yet, I continued to love him.

"My child, it is better to have never known Me than to know Me and turn back from serving Me," said the Lord.
"If only he had listened to You, Lord!" I cried. "If only he had cared about his soul and the souls of others. "

"He did not listen to Me. When I called he would not hear Me. He loved the easy life. I called and called him to repentance, but he would not come back to Me. One day he was killed and came immediately here. Now Satan torments him for having once preached My Word and saved souls for My kingdom. This is his torment."

I watched the demons as they continued to march around and around the coffin. The man's heart beat and real blood ran from it. I will never forget his cries of pain and sorrow. Jesus looked at the man in the coffin with great compassion and said, "The blood of many lost souls are upon this man's hands. Many of them are in torment here right now." With sorrowful hearts, Jesus and I walked on. (Mary K. Baxter)

A GENERATION OF EXPLOSIVE KNOWLEDGE

First, don't ever pray about money, that is, in the sense that you have been praying about it. The money you need is down there; it's not up in Heaven. I'm not going to rain any money down from Heaven, because if any money came raining down from heaven, it would be counterfeit, and I'm not a counterfeiter. You see, I put everything you need in the earth. I made it all, and I didn't make it for the devil and his crowd. You read in My Word, in Psalm 50:10-12, where it says, '. . . every beast of the forest is Mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills . . . the world is Mine, and the fulness thereof And in Haggai 2:8 it says, 'The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine. . . .' "It's Mine because I created it. And I didn't make it for Myself. I made it for My man Adam. And I said, 'Adam, I give you dominion over all the work of My hands'"

(Gen. 1:26,28). "Originally, Adam was to dominate this world. He had dominion over the cattle of a thousand hills. He had dominion over the silver and the gold. And he had dominion over the world and the fullness thereof. But Adam committed high treason — he became a traitor — and sold out to Satan. And Satan became the god of this world. – 2Cor 4:4

Whatever you need, claim it in Jesus' Name. You say, 'Satan, take your hands off my money,' because it's Satan that's keeping it from coming — not Me. It's not Me keeping your children from being fed adequately. It's not Me keeping your children from being clothed adequately.

Don’t ever buy into the condemnation of the devil that you are unworthy because I redeemed you with My precious blood. There is a song for you to sing; there is a missionary journey for you to take; there is a book for you to write; there is a purpose for your been here in life. Why do My people not believe in Me? Why do My people reject Me? Why do they not walk in My commandment?

There will be a spirit of restoration that will begin to prevail through out the land. Get ready for things that have been stolen from you to be returned. Just before I return back to the earth there will be a strong emphasis on PRAYER. I prayed, ‘It is written’ when I walked this earth. When you pray, ‘IT IS WRITTEN’ then you can claim, ‘IT IS FINISHED!’

The time of My harvest is near. Warn the people on earth to get ready because I’m coming back soon. Just before I return, there will be a great increase of knowledge (Dan12:4 knowledge explosions lit trans). Your generation will be the first to see the birth of nuclear weapons (Zac14:12 – now we have each bomb stand that can produce a 150F million degrees hot in 1million of a second). Your generation has seen the rebirth of the nation Israel (May 15th, 1948, Isa66:. This will be the time of the generation of scoffers 2Pt3:2. I’m coming soon.

Many in the churches are sleeping right now. You need to wake these sleeping giant & tell them to enter an intimate relationship with Me. They just go through a set of forms & rituals but they don’t have an intimate relationship with Me. Many in the church are like Marta, they’re just busy going about with activities doing things that are not evil per-say, but are not quality time of fellowship with Me. What I really desire if for you to seat in My feet & have an intimate relationship with Me & I’ll empower you. Out of this intimacy I will empower you. The quicker you enter into this kind of relationship, the quicker I will come to receive you unto Myself. Daniel was My great beloved in his day because he prayed 3-times a day. Have an intimate relationship with Me every day in a way that you get instruction from Me every day as to what you are suppose to do each day. This is because you are in the generation that will see the greatest in-gathering of harvest that you’ve ever experienced. Your hour of vindication is coming. I am going to reveal things to you that I’ve shown you in the secret places & bring it into public recognition. You are the light of the world & you are going to be the salt of the earth & you are going to walk in that pureness & holiness before I return.

DOUBLE LIFE HOLIER THAN THOU CHURCH MEMBER

We stopped at the next pit. It was exactly like all the others. Inside it was the form of a woman, which I knew by her voice. She cried out to Jesus for deliverance from the flames. Jesus looked on the woman with love and said, "While you were on earth, I called you to come to Me. I pleaded with you to get your heart right with Me before it was too late. I visited you many times in the midnight hour to tell you of My love. I wooed you, I loved you and drew you to Me by My Spirit.

"Yes Lord,' you said, 'I will follow You,' With your lips you said you loved Me, but your heart did not mean it. I knew where your heart was. I often sent My messengers to you to tell you to repent of your sins and come to Me, but you would not hear Me. I wanted to use you to minister to others, to help others to find Me. But you wanted the world and not Me. I called you, but you would not hear Me, nor would you repent of your sins." The woman said to Jesus, "You remember, Lord, how I went to church and was a good woman. I joined the church. I was a member of Your church. I knew Your call was on my life. I knew I had to obey that call at all costs, and I did."

Jesus said, "Woman, you are still full of lies and sin. I called you, but you would not hear Me! True, you were a member of a church, but being a church member did not get you to heaven. Your sins were many, and you did not repent. You caused others to stumble at My Word. You would not forgive others when they hurt you. You pretended to love and serve Me when you were with Christians, but when you were away from Christians, you lied, cheated and stole. You gave heed to seducing spirits and enjoyed your double life. You knew the straight and narrow way."
"And," Jesus said, "you also had a double tongue. You talked about your brothers and sisters in Christ. You judged them and thought you were holier than they, when there was gross sin in your heart. This I know, you would not listen to My sweet Spirit of compassion. You judged the outside of a person, without regard to the fact that many were children in the faith. You were very hard’’

"Yes, you said you loved Me with your lips, but your heart was far from Me. You knew the ways of the Lord and you understood. You played with God, and God knows all things. If you had sincerely served God, you would not be here today. You cannot serve Satan and God at the same time."

Jesus turned to me and said, "Many in the last days will depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and will serve sin. Come out from among them, and be separate. Walk not in the way with them." As we walked away, the woman began to curse and swear at Jesus. She screamed and cried with rage. We walked on. I was so weak in body. (Mary. K. Baxter)

THE FALL OF LUCIFER (PART II)

Lucifer was made so beautiful. He had pride came into him & tried to take over heaven. Ezek28 & Isa14 - he bragged, ‘I’ll exalt myself above the Most High, I’ll exalt my throne above the stars of heaven, I’ll be on the holy mount of God, I’ll be over the peoples. They were no people created at that time. God had not made Adam yet. Ezek 28 says when Lucifer was created he walked upon the stones of fire. God told Ezekiel to prophesy to the king of Tyrus (which was Lucifer) about what He had to say about him because Lucifer tried to take over heaven. There was war in heaven that’s why we have wars on the earth now. He was kicked out of heaven when he tried to take over heaven & exalt himself above God. He thought he was just as good as God, he use to walk about in heaven proclaiming that he was like the Most High. He could create MUSIC. God made him to be in charge of MUSIC. He literally could create MUSIC from his being.

The STONES OF FIRES that he walked on was the HEART OF GOD. Inside God is ETERNITY. We are His offspring, we were made in His image. We were chosen in Him from the foundation of the world. We were all little spirits inside God. Lucifer had access to step inside of God. When you go up to heaven you are a spirit, a spirit being. You can step inside of God. The TRINITY is very simple. Jesus gets up & steps inside of the Father. The Holy Spirit gets up & step inside of the Father, 3-in-1. In the spirit realm, things can actually step inside each other. The ARC ANGELS also have access to step inside of God. The most amazing beautiful places in heaven are in God. You can’t see the end of anything inside of Him. Beautiful, beautiful mountains, the HOLY MOUNT of God is not some places in heaven but on the inside of God. Lucifer had access to God’s inside & the reason he had GEM stones (Sapphire, diamond, emerald, chalcedony, sardius, topaz, gold, carbuncle etc) put on the outside of him was because he was made to be connected to worship. That was what he was created to be. He was created to be the Anointed Cherub that covers. He would step inside of God & stand over His heart which is the STONES OF FIRE, open his wings & made beautiful music. One-third of the angels were created to worship. They would worship God & all this beautiful music would come out of God. They knew it was Lucifer, they saw him go there. They couldn’t go there themselves, every angels do not have access in to the Father. The Arc Angels do because of their position in heaven. It says, ‘you were beautiful & perfect in all your ways until iniquity was found in you’ Lucifer was made to be a part of the worship until he desired it. He usually sings & makes worship & all the angels will worship & that worship would go right into the heart of God. When we worship, it goes right into the HEART OF GOD. Lucifer stands there gaining the RUSH, this CONTINUAL RUSH (the anointing you experience when in true worship). All the worship comes right down in front of Lucifer & he was helping to make that happen. Eons of time went by & he didn’t sin, he never thought of anything evil until one day something flips inside of him, he said within him, ‘I really like this, this is great! I really have something to do with this, I think I should have this. I’m like God, I can create music & no other angel can create anything, no other angel have GEM STONES put on him’

At the heart of God were STONES OF FIRE. The Word says that God is a CONSUMING FIRE. That’s where His fire burns for us, they are gem stones. Out of the RIVER OF GOD flows the RIVER OF LIFE. When that RIVER OF LIFE flows out of Him it takes GEM STONES with it through the city streets & becomes the CRYSTAL SEA all over heaven. Diamonds lie on the bottom of the CRYSTAL SEA. Light shoots out of the CRYSTAL SEA. Little bits of Rainbow shoots out every where because of those diamonds in the CRYSTAL SEA. That is also how the rainbow is generated in the Father. If you take a piece of light & put it under a crystal or diamond, it will make a rainbow. Around the throne of God are GEM STONES & as the fire of God burns for us in His heart, they hit these GEM STONES & pushes rainbows up around in all direction. Lucifer was puffed up because of his beauty. He flew to all the angels telling them he would give them power & wealth when he took over. The same thing he said to Jesus in the wilderness, the same thing he says to people today & one-third of the angels fell for it.

MAKING DAILY ADVANCEMENT IN GOD

When I was at Cazadero seven or eight years ago, amongst the first people that came to me in those meetings was a man who was stone deaf. And every time we had the meeting—suppose I was rising up to say a few words, this man would take his chair from off the ordinary row and place it right in front of me. And the devil used to say, “Now, you are done.” I said, “No, I am not done. It is finished.” The man was as deaf as possible for three weeks. And then in the meetings, as we were singing about three weeks afterward, this man became tremendously disturbed as though in a storm. He looked in every direction, and he became as one who had almost lost his mind. And then he took a leap. He started on the run and went out amongst the people, and right up one of the hills. When he got about 60 yards away he heard singing. And the Lord said, “Thy ears are open.” And he came back, and we were still singing. That stopped our singing. And then he told us that when his ears were opened he could not understand what it was. There was such a tremendous noise he could not understand it whatever. He thought something had happened to the world, and so he ran out of the whole thing. Then, when he got away, he heard singing.

Oh, the devil said for three weeks, “You cannot do it.” I said, “It is done!” As though God would ever forget! As though God could ever forget! As if it were possible for God to ever ignore our prayers! The most trying time is the most helpful time.


Remember, beloved, don’t forget that every day must be a day of advancement. If you have not made any advancement since yesterday, in a measure you are a backslider. There is only one way for you between Calvary and the glory, and it is forward. It is every day forward. It is no day back. It is advancement with God. It is cooperation with Him in the Spirit. Beloved, we must see these things, because if we live on the same plane day after day, the vision is stale, the principles lose their earnestness. But we must be like those who are catching the vision of the Master day by day. And we must make inroads into every passion that would interfere and bring everything to the slaughter that is not holy. (Smith Wigglesworth)

TWO TYPES OF SPIRITUAL BABIES (NEPIOSES)

I'll illustrate the difference between a genuine baby Christian and a spiritual baby who's been a Christian for years. There was a fellow in the last church I pastored who was a businessman. He was a contractor by trade. His wife was one of my Sunday school teachers. This man wasn't a Christian, but he never missed a service — Sunday school, Sunday morning, or Sunday night. And during revival meetings, he'd come every night and bring his family.

Finally, this man said to his wife, "Talk to Brother Hagin for me. I know I'm not saved, but ask Brother Hagin if the church would accept my tithes." This man and another fellow were in business together. The other fellow belonged to another church; he wasn't a Christian either. This woman's husband told his business partner, "Our business is in bad shape financially. We're just about bankrupt. I know we're not Christians, but I believe if we'd honor God by paying our tithes that God would honor us." Of course we accepted his tithes! And so he started bringing his tithes from his part of the business. Then he bought out his partner, and within ninety days' time, his business was out of the red and in the black, and it was prospering. Then he needed to hire other folks to help him in his business. And so he'd hire people from the church to work for him.

Even before he got saved, this man said to me, "Before I hire anybody, I ask them on a questionnaire, 'Do you pay tithes?' My older employees who have been with me can stay with me. I wouldn't fire a man for not paying tithes. But I don't hire anybody who doesn't pay tithes. This is a tithe-paying organization. I've proved it out, and it works!" That's a pretty good attitude for a sinner man. But then this man came to the altar one night in a service and was gloriously saved. He continued to hire people from the church to work, including the young people for summertime help. I checked up on the finances of the church and found that during a certain month, two thirds of the support of our church came through his company or through those working for him.

About two weeks after this man had gotten saved, I was shaving one morning and getting ready to downtown to buy some groceries and go to the post office to pick up our mail. While I was shaving, the Spirit of God spoke to me, on the inside of me, in my spirit. It wasn't audible, but it was the inward Voice of the Holy Spirit, and He said to me, "Before you go to town, go out to ___ 's house and pray for him" (talking about the businessman who had just gotten saved).

The Lord said, "He got mad on the job, lost his temper, and cursed. I want you to go restore him." So I said to my wife, "The Lord told me I've got to go see _____ . The Lord just told me he lost his temper on the job, and he's home sick in bed over it. The Lord told me to go see him and restore him." Oretha said, "Go ahead then. The errands can wait. We're not in any hurry." So I finished shaving and started putting on my tie when I heard a car drive up in front of the parsonage. I looked out the window and saw this man's wife.

She came in and said, "Oh, Brother and Sister Hagin, please don't tell ____ that I came here. He'll have a fit if he knew. But he got mad on the job and lost his temper. He said he was so mad, he didn't remember it, but some of the men said he cursed. He told me, 'If I did, I don't know it.' "But now he says, I've backslidden. I'm never going to church anymore.' He had injured his back working awhile ago. And now that back injury's come back on him, and he's home in bed sick. Will you go see him? "But don't tell him I came by here. If he asks you, 'Have you been talking to my wife?' I don't know what to tell you to do."

"Well, I know what I'm going to do," I said. "You just ask my wife. I told her less than ten minutes ago that the Lord spoke to me and told me to go over there and see your husband. So I can tell him truthfully that the Lord sent me, because He did." So I went to the man's house. His wife told me where he was, so I went around to a side door and knocked. He hollered, "Come in," but when I opened the door and looked in and he saw me, he jerked the bed covers up over his head. He was embarrassed, bless his heart. But you remember he was just two weeks old in the Lord. I'll tell you, sometimes we folks who are older in the Lord forget what it's like to be newly saved. Somebody gets saved Sunday night, and we expect them to be living as good a separated and holy life as we are now (but when we first got saved, we didn't do that in our own lives either!).

And so he jerked the cover up over his head. I just got on my knees beside the bed, and I had a time doing it, but I finally managed to pull the covers off his head! I wasn't but a boy then, just twenty-seven or twenty-eight years old. This man was in his forties. But I took him in my arms and began to cry with him. He was crying, and I just began to weep with him. I said, "Brother _____ , I was shaving, the Lord spoke to me and sent me over here. We're not going to let the devil have you. You may have missed it, but we're not going to let the devil have you." "Oh, Brother Hagin," he said, "I'm just so embarrassed.

I did get mad, and I lost my temper. I know that. But I don't remember anything I said. I was so mad, I don't know what I said. And some of the men said I cursed." A person can get so mad he doesn't know what he's doing. I know — I've been there, but not since I was a Christian. I've got as much temper now as I ever had before, but I control it. I've never let it get away from me since I've been a Christian. Before I was a Christian, I could get so mad at someone, I'd knock him in the head before he could say scat! And I'd get so mad, I didn't know what I was doing sometimes. I've been just that mad before. "Well," this man said, "I had that back injury, and it seemed like I was over it pretty good. But it's come back on me, and I'm in misery and pain." This man was a genuine spiritual baby. I laid my hand on his back and said, "Dear God, now You love him, and I know You do. I know he's failed. I know he's sinned, but he's ashamed of it and has repented of it. Lord, just prove to him right now that You love him. Heal his back."

And I remember the man looked at me, and just as fast as you could snap your fingers, he was healed. He looked startled and jumped like you'd shocked him with electricity. He said, "You know, it's all gone. The pain left." He was instantly perfectly well. He broke down and began to cry and said, "You mean the Lord loves me enough to heal me?" I said, "He loves you enough, and He's restored you." Well, this man came on back to church. We didn't let the devil have him. I had to go one other time about a month or so later to restore this man. He got mad again on the job. But I didn't have to go anymore after that. But, after all, what do you expect out of a baby? They can't do too much for themselves. Somebody's got to carry them. We're going to have to give account unto God for what we've done with the babies who've been born in our midst into the Kingdom of God.

The second time the Lord spoke to me to go and restore this man, the minute it happened and he lost his temper at work, the Lord spoke to my heart and told me what had happened. I went out and restored him, and twenty-five years later, he was on the church board and working for God. He was paying his tithes and living right. I could carry this man on my own faith while he was a genuine spiritual baby. But let me show you something about those who have been babies for years and have not grown spiritually. I had a deacon in my church who lived close to this man I'd restored twice. This deacon was the head deacon. He'd always testify that he'd been saved and filled with the Holy Ghost for nearly thirty years. This deacon was nearly thirty years old in the Lord, and he came to me one day just a crying. He said to me, "I told somebody, 'Brother Hagin doesn't love me. I saw him twice in the last two months out there at Brother ____ 's house, and he never comes to see me.'" I said, "Yes, and I'm not coming either. You're a big baby. You get up and testify in church that you've been saved and filled with the Holy Ghost for nearly thirty years. You don't need anybody to visit you! You're thirty years old in the Lord — you ought to be out visiting others. "Brother ____ is a baby Christian. He needed some body to help him. You don't need anybody to help you.

You ought to be helping me take care of the spiritual babies. But instead, you want to be babied yourself. "So just go ahead and bawl if you want to," I continued. "I'm not going to sympathize with you or have one bit of compassion on you. You don't need it. "And while I'm at it, I want to say something else to you. If you don't quit running around sticking your nose into other people's business, you're going to draw back one of these days, and you're not going to have a nose. Somebody's going to cut it off!" I didn't mean someone was going to literally cut off his nose. But sometimes folks get the idea that God sort of ordained them and called them to run everybody else's business in the church!

I just told this deacon the truth. And he appreciated it. Actually, he got a little huffy right then, but he thought about it, and he came back and thanked me. He shook hands with me and said, "Brother Hagin, thank you. One thing I like about you is I understand you. I see what you were talking about. "You're exactly, one-hundred percent right," he continued, "and I'm one hundred percent wrong. I'm going to get out there and help you a little bit more. I don't need anybody to visit me. I ought to be visiting some of the babies and seeing about them and helping you out. I see that. And not only that, but I see I've tried to poke my nose in too many people's business around here. So I'm quitting it right now." You see, as long as people are really genuine spiritual babies, you can carry them with your faith and get things from God for them. It's the easiest thing in the world to get somebody healed who's a new Christian. Not only that, but it's comparatively easy, as a usual thing, to get Christians healed who have never heard about divine healing. They haven't been taught. So very often you can make your faith work for them. But God expects a little bit more out of those who know about divine healing and have been taught the Word. (Kenneth Hagin)

THE SECRET THINGS OF LIFE BELONGS TO GOD

One time when the Lord appeared to me in a vision, I asked Him about one of my loved ones who failed to receive healing and had to have a very serious operation. In the vision, Jesus was talking to me about something else, and then I asked Him about my loved one. I had prayed so earnestly and used all the faith I had for this family member. I asked Jesus, "Why did she not receive healing and have to have this operation?"

She was a born again, Spirit-filled, very consecrated, dedicated Christian. The Lord Jesus said to me: "That's between Me and her. It isn't any of your business." I mean, He was just as plain as could be about it. He said, "It isn't any of your business." You see, we're always going around trying to tend to somebody else's business. But the Lord said, "It is My business and her business, not yours." Then Jesus said to me: "Did you ever read in My Word where it said, 'The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever . . . ' ? " I said, "Yes, that's Deuteronomy 29:29."

"Well," He said, "why your family member didn't get healed is a secret between Me and her. If I'd wanted you to know, I would have told you. And if I don't tell you, just don't even think about it. Don't even touch it in your thought life. "But what's revealed to you, you preach. Go ahead and preach healing just like you're preaching it because it's right. But if people don't get healed, don't even think about it. Don't even touch it in thought life. It isn't any of your business. You're not healing them anyway; you're just preaching it." Since then, I don't even think about it when folks don't get healed. That's what the Lord told me to do, so that's what I do. (Kenneth Hagin)

FAITH FOR FINANCE : U CAN HAVE WHAT YOU SAY

I was in a particular meeting one fall. When I first walked in the parsonage door, I said to the pastor and his wife, "I'm going to buy a new car while I'm here. I hope it doesn't hurt my offerings." Some folks, bless their hearts, if they ever pray for the preacher, they pray: "Lord, you keep him humble, and we'll keep him poor." And they think they're doing God a favor! The pastor said, "Oh, no. It won't affect my church. In fact, we'll help you buy it. What kind are you going to buy?" I told him the kind of car I was interested in. He said, "Well, I tell you what — one of the deacons in my church has a brother who's in the car business.

He handles that particular make. "In fact, I stopped by there to see him myself day before yesterday, and they were unloading one off the truck. "I looked at it, and it's got all the equipment you
want."
I said, "It sounds like just the one I want."
I didn't think any more about it. A day or two after
we started the meeting, the pastor said to me, "Come,
get in the car and go with me." So we drove to this car
dealership.
He said, "There's the car I was telling you about." I
looked at it and said, "I'd forgotten to tell you the color,
but that's the exact color I had in mind."
In this illustration, this is the point I want to show
you: Not only will faith work by saying it, but faith will
work in your heart with doubt in your head. Many
times because people have a doubt in their minds, they
think, Well, my faith won't work. I'm doubting.
But every time I would tell a preacher, "I'm going to
buy a new car in the fall," my head would say, "Where
are you going to get the money? You couldn't even buy
an old sitting hen!"
When that pastor and I drove to that dealership and
saw that car sitting there, I was having trouble with my
head the whole time. My head said, "You've got enough
sense to know better than to lie. Here you've talked in
front of this pastor about how you're going to buy a car,
and he's about to find out what a fraud you are.
"You've talked faith and preached faith, and you're
going to fall flat on your face because you can't buy that
car. You don't have any money. (And I didn't!) And all
you've got is an old car that's got 93,000 miles on it. And
it needs a valve job, and the transmission is leaking. You
don't even have a spare, and all your tires are bald.
"You can't get anything for that old car. You ought to
sell it for junk. You can't get enough out of it to make a
down-payment on that new car. You can't, and you
know you can't. You can't buy that car."
I just didn't pay any attention to my head or the
devil either. We looked the car over and went inside the
office. A fellow with a big black cigar in his mouth was
sitting there talking on the phone. He had his feet
propped up on his desk.
He finished his conversation, put down his cigar,
and stood up to greet us. The pastor introduced me as
his evangelist who was in town for a meeting. We all
sat down, and the man picked up his cigar and began to
smoke. He propped his feet up on his desk again (it was
his desk — he could do whatever he wanted to!).
The pastor said to the man, "Brother Hagin wants
that car right out there."
The man looked out the window at the car and said,
"Well, fine, Reverend." And he put his cigar down and
became very serious. He said, "I may be just a sinner,
but there's one thing I believe. I believe the man of God
ought to have the best in life."
You know, sometimes an old sinner's got better principles
about these things than some saints — or "ain'ts"!
The car dealer said, "Reverend, do you know how
much that car is worth?"
"Yes," I said, "I know." The new models had been out
about three weeks, and I'd been checking the prices, but
I'd never found a color I wanted. I quoted him the price.
He said, "That's exactly right. That's what the retail
price is. Do you know what I paid for the car?"
He opened his desk drawer and handed me a piece of
paper. He had paid about $1,200 less than the list price.
He said, "What you see there is exactly what it cost
me. And I'm going to let you have it for that. I'm not
going to make a penny on it. I'm going to let you have it
for just exactly what it cost me."
He asked, "Do you want to trade anything in on it?"
"Well," I said, "I don't have any money. I'll just have
to trade my old car in on it."
"All right," he said, "what do you have?"
I said, "I'll just be honest with you," and I told him
my car was several years old. I said, "I've put 93,000
miles on it myself. I don't know how much somebody
else may have put on it, because I got it used. The
transmission is leaking. It needs a valve job — it clatters
like a Model-T Ford hitting on two cylinders. It just
jumps and jerks."
I continued: "I don't even have a spare tire, and all
four tires on the car are baldies. The car is not worth
much."
"Reverend," he said, "do you know what cars like
yours are selling for?"
I said, "Yes, I've checked them on the lot. Good,
clean ones that are in top-notch condition sell for anywhere
from $795 to $995."
He said, "Yours is probably worth about $495." I
said, "I doubt that. I wouldn't give $495 for it."
He said, "This is what I'm going to do. I'm going to
allow you $995 for your car as a trade-in on this new
one. As I said, I'm not making a penny on it, and I'll
lose money on your old one. I'll put yours back there in
the garage and do the valve job, fix the transmission,
put tires on it, and clean it up. And I still won't get that
much out of it. I'll probably have to sell it for $795 at
the most.
"It'll cost me probably two or three hundred dollars
to make this deal. But sign this contract, and you can
drive that new car off the lot today."
And I drove it home! And do you know that from
that day to this, I've never been without a new car. I
found out how to get one, praise God! God's Word works!

YOUR FAITH CAN MOVE MOUNTAINS FOR U

Once after a service, a woman came to me, and after sitting in the service and hearing faith and truth taught, she took hold of my hand and cried almost hysterically. (I'm not saying this to make fun of her. I'm just pointing out the facts.) I said, "What's the matter, Sister?" "Oh, I want you to pray for me." "All right," I said, "what is it?" "Well," she said, "it just seems like the Lord has forsaken me."

I said, "What awful sin have you committed to make Him forsake you?" "Oh, Brother Hagin, as far as I know, I haven't done one thing wrong. But it just seems like the Presence of the Lord has gone from me." I said, "Now where did you ever read in the Bible where it said, 'We walk by what things seem like' ? The Bible didn't say we walk by what things seem like. It says we walk by faith. And Jesus said He'd never leave you or forsake you." "I know that. But it just seems like He has." "Well," I said, "you've got more faith in 'seems like' than you have in the Bible."

"Yes, but I know what I feel." This woman almost got mad at me. I answered her, "Yes, and I know my Jesus, and I'm not concerned about what I feel. If Jesus said it, I believe it." Thank God for a motto I inherited from the Southern Baptists. I wrote it in red ink on the fly leaf in the Bible I had when I was on my deathbed. It says, "The Bible says it, I believe it, and that settles it." That means I believe what the Word says whether things seem like the Bible is so or not — feeling or no feeling. And if you'll practice that and start believing right, thinking right, and talking right, it won't be long until you'll be feeling right too. Faith must be released. In other words, you can have what you say. Your faith can move mountains for you. (Kenneth Hagin)

YOU WILL HAVE WHAT YOU SAY

I remember many years ago I was holding a revival meeting in a little town in Texas. It was my custom in those days during all of my meetings to have two fast-days a week. I would always fast on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Incidentally, concerning fasting, somebody asked me: "Brother Hagin, do you fast much? What is the longest you've ever fasted?" I said, "I've never fasted more than three days at a time in my life. You see, you need to have some purpose in your fast, and I always got my answer within three days."

But those Tuesdays and Thursdays I set aside during my meetings were just days I spent, not to get any specific answer, but just to wait on God. For instance, if I ate an evening meal, I fasted for the next twenty-four hours. I did drink water, but I ate no food. And I got further with God and made more spiritual progress fasting two days a week than any other way in all of my life. And then, finally, the Lord spoke to me to stop doing that because holding meetings with two services a day and fasting two days make you tired after a while! The Lord spoke to me and said, "I'm more pleased with your living a fasted life than I am with your having set days to fast." I said, "Lord, what do You mean, 'living a fasted life'?" "Well," He said, "fasting's not going to change Me, because I'll be the same when you start fasting, while your fasting, and when you get through fasting. I won't change. Your fasting won't change Me.

"But," He said, "fasting will help you keep the flesh under. You can keep your flesh under all the time and not eat all you want." So for years during most of my meetings, I would just eat one meal a day in the middle of the day and then occasionally maybe a little something light after church. Back when I would fast on Tuesdays and Thursdays during my meetings, I spent one of those days in the church building for nearly the entire day, reading the Bible, walking around the altar and up and down the aisles of the sanctuary praying and waiting on God, or meditating on His Word. And I would frequently read the whole Book of Mark. It didn't take long — there's only sixteen chapters. So I would read the whole Book of the Gospel according to St. Mark.

I don't know why, but Mark's always been my favorite Gospel. I guess the reason is that Mark 11 brought me off the bed of sickness as a Baptist boy with two serious organic heart troubles, a body practically totally paralyzed, and an incurable blood disease. So I was reading the Book of Mark, kneeling at the altar. And I'd read through to chapter 16. And I read there at the end where Jesus said, "And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover" (Mark 16:17,18). I stopped reading and got off my knees and sat down on the floor in front of the altar bench. I was meditating on what Jesus said: ". . . these signs shall follow them that believe. . . . " That's what I was thinking about. I wasn't thinking about Mark 11 — that was the furthest thing from my mind.

As I was sitting there meditating, finally, I just laid down on the floor and continued to meditate on Mark chapter 16. In the Old Testament the Scripture says, "Be still, and know that I am God . . . " (Ps. 46:10) . Well, I just got to the place where my mind got quiet, and about that time, on the inside of me — in my spirit — I heard these words: "Did you notice in the eleventh chapter of Mark and the twenty-third verse that the word 'SAY' in some form is in that verse three times and the word 'BELIEVE' is only there once?" You see, God doesn't speak to your mind, and He doesn't speak to your body. God is a Spirit; He contacts you through your spirit. And you contact God with your spirit. It's easy enough to get quiet with your body. You lie down at night to go to sleep, and your body gets quiet. But your mind can sometimes go on and on.

But in this case, I had gotten both my body and my mind quiet, and the moment I did, that's when the Lord spoke to me. On the inside of me, in my spirit, I plainly heard the Lord speak. Now it wasn't like someone's voice speaking out loud that you can hear with your ears. I didn't hear it with my physical ears. But yet way down on the inside — it was just as real as someone speaking to me physically — I heard those words. And when I did, I remember I rose up to a seated position and said out loud: "No. No, I didn't notice that!" There's no telling how many thousands of times I'd quoted Mark 11:23 and 24. On the bed of sickness at the point of death, nearly all night long, I'd hang onto those verses. I'd say them over and over again. So there's no telling how many thousands of times I'd quoted these verses, but I'd never noticed that. It's the same way with you. You may read certain chapters and verses for years, and then you'll be reading them one day and something just pops out from the page and you see something from the Word you've never seen before. You feel so silly and wonder why you never saw it before.

You see, you don't understand the Bible with your head. You've got to get the revelation of it in your heart. That's the reason you didn't see it before — because you didn't get it in your spirit. So I said to the Lord: "No, I didn't notice that." Quickly, I turned the pages of my Bible back to Mark 11:23, and I read it. MARK 1133 23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall SAY unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall BELIEVE that those things which he SAITH shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he SAITH. And there it was. I saw it. The word "SAY" in some form was in that verse three times, and "BELIEVE" was there only once. I said to the Lord, "That's right! I never noticed that before, but that's right!" And then on the inside of me I heard these words: "My people are not missing it primarily in their believing.

But where they're missing it is in their saying. They have been taught to believe, but faith must be released in words through your mouth. You can have what you say." After He said that to me, I sat there on the floor before that altar and began to think back in my own life at every meeting and convention I'd ever attended. All the ministers I'd ever heard preach flashed before my mind. And I couldn't remember a single one who ever preached about the "saying" part of faith. Then Jesus went on to say to me in my spirit: "You're going to have to do three times as much preaching and teaching about the 'SAYING' part as you do the 'BELIEVING' part to get folks to see it." And I checked up on myself. I had been doing a little bit of teaching on the saying part of faith, but not much along that line. But after that, I began to do what Jesus said to do. I preached and taught more about the saying part of faith. Let's look at Mark 11:23 again and examine it. Notice, it says, ". . . and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith. . . . " In other words, that's saying, "but shall believe in his heart that those things which he saith. . . ." Those things which you saith are words. In other words, you believe in your heart that those things — those words — which you saith shall come to pass. You believe in your heart, and you believe in your words. And that gives you power over demons, disease, and circumstances. Praise God forevermore! (Kenneth Hagin)

FORGIVE YOURSELF

I remember several years ago I was holding a meeting in Fort Worth, Texas. And at the close of one of the morning services, a woman met me in the aisle and said, "Brother Hagin, I want you to pray for me." "Well, what for?" I answered. She said, "Do I have to tell you?" I said, "Yes, I'm not going to pray unless you do." "Well," she said, "I'll tell you. I've been saved about seven years now and filled with the Holy Ghost about five years. I've taught Sunday school here in this church for the past five years.

"My husband and I have been married for over twenty years. We weren't Christians when we were married. He never has gotten saved. He always drank a little bit, but he'd just have a drink or two with the fellows. He's never come home drunk. He's a good man and a good husband, and I love him. He's always a good provider, and most of the time, he'll even come to church with me on a Sunday night. But he's never made a move toward God."

She continued: "Before I was saved, I was awfully hot-tempered. But now over a seven-year period, I haven't lost my temper one single time until recently. I've come close a few times. But I've never lost my temper. "But awhile back, my husband had taken a drink or two, and he came home pretending he was drunk. And I'll just be honest with you, I just got mad. I lost my temper, and I tell you, I turned him every which way but loose. He finally yelled out, 'I'm all right! I'm just putting on — I'm not drunk.'"

And she said, "That made me madder than ever that he played a joke on me and treated me that way. So after I give him another piece of my mind, I went in the bedroom and slammed the door and locked it. And then after two or three hours I cooled off, and I was ashamed of myself. The words I said kept coming back to me. I said a lot of things I shouldn't have said, and I was wrong.

"I got on my knees in the bedroom and just prayed the rest of the night that God would forgive me. I never did open the door and let my husband in. He slept in the other bedroom. "The next morning at the breakfast table, at first, he didn't say anything to me, and I didn't say anything to him until we sat down to eat. I always prayed over the food, and he'd be very nice about it. He'd always wait for me to pray.

"Finally he said, 'Aren't you going to pray?' I said, 'Before I pray and ask the blessing, I've got to apologize to you. I've prayed and asked God to forgive me, and I want you to forgive me too.' "'Well,' he answered, 'I don't have anything to forgive you for. I really ought to be asking you to forgive me. I'm the one who brought it all on. I was the instigator; I'm the one who caused it all. Will you forgive me?' "I said, 'I'll forgive you, all right. But after all, I'm a Spirit-filled Christian, and I haven't lost my temper in all these seven years. But I lost my temper and said a lot of things I shouldn't have said. I'm wrong, and I want you to forgive me.'

"My husband said, 'All right. I'll forgive you, but I'm to blame for it. You forgive me, too, and go ahead and ask the blessing.' So I stumbled through praying the blessing, and we ate." I said to her, "Sister, you haven't turned in any prayer request. You've told me something." "Well," she said, "here's what I want you to do. I want you to pray that God would give me some kind of a feeling so I'll know He's forgiven me. I've never felt yet on the inside of me like the Lord's forgiven me." "Why," I said, "I'm not going to do any such thing. I'm not going to pray one lick about that. You've already got the answer to your problem. The Bible says, 'If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness'" (1 John 1:9).

"Oh, I know that, Brother Hagin, but. . ." I said, "Sister, do you know what's wrong with you?" She said, "No. Do you?" I said, "I certainly do." She said, "I wished you'd tell me." I said, "You're not willing to forgive yourself — that's where your trouble is. The Lord forgave you or else He lied about it. And I don't believe He lied. Do you think your husband lied when you asked him to forgive you, and he said he would?" "No," she said, "I don't think he lied." "Then you have more faith in an unsaved husband than you do in God. God said, 'If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.'" Then I said, "Do you know what else you're telling me? You're telling me that God may have lied about it, but that your feelings don't lie. Your feelings say God hasn't forgiven you, but God says He has. You can believe your feelings, but you can't believe God."

Friends, you can't help people as long as they're taking sides against the Word. You've got to side in with God's Word if you want it to work for you. A lot of folks don't catch on, but that woman was intelligent enough to get it. And she saw how terrible it was to have more faith in her feelings than in God's Word. (Kenneth Hagin)

PRACTICE LEARNING TO BE CORRECTED EASILY

The first church I pastored was a community church out in the country. I usually went out Saturday night, spent Saturday and Sunday nights, and came back into town on Monday. I stayed quite often in the home of a dear Methodist man. This fine spiritual man, a great man really, was 89 years old. He and I didn't get up as early as the others did on his farm. They would be out doing chores or be out working in the field when this older gentleman and I had breakfast together about 8 o'clock. I didn't drink coffee, but this old gentleman did. Now you could scarcely believe it unless you saw it, but he had one of those old-fashioned coffee pots—this was the mid-30's—sitting on an old-fashioned wood stove with coffee boiling in it. I have seen him take that boiling coffee, pour it into a big thick mug—and when it was still so hot it simmered in that mug—turn it up to his mouth, and drink the whole cup.

The first time I saw him do it, I hollered. I felt like my mouth and throat were burning. How could he do that? I couldn't. The tissues of my lips, the inside of my mouth, my throat and esophagus are so tender, just one teaspoonful would have burned all the way down. But he drank a whole mug without taking it away from his mouth. He couldn't do that to begin with though. Through years of drinking coffee that hot, his lips and mouth, and throat and esophagus became seared. Eventually, he could drink it that hot, and it didn't bother him.

Spiritually, the same thing can happen. Learn to keep a tender conscience. Learn the minute you miss it and your conscience condemns you, to correct it right then. Don't wait until you go to church. Immediately say, "Lord, forgive me. I missed it." If you have to, if someone else saw or heard you, tell that person right away, "I did wrong. Please forgive me. I shouldn't have said that." You will have to keep your spirit tender if you are going to be led by the Spirit. (K. E. Hagin)

BE CAREFUL WITH MONEY

In my ministry as a prophet, God has sometimes used me to foretell certain future events through the word of wisdom — many times privately and occasionally publicly. However, my main ministry as a prophet is to preach and teach the Word of God. As the Spirit wills, these other manifestations occur. But I never seek a vision or seek to hear anything from the Lord; these supernatural manifestations occur spontaneously as the Holy Spirit wills. There are times God will reveal to a prophet something that is going to happen so the prophet can warn the people involved.

For example, in the days of The Voice of Healing, I went to see a minister who had a large tent that seated thousands. A large crowd like that was almost unheard of in those days.

The minister showed me his tent, and when we finished talking, I went to get into my car. As I did, the Spirit of God said to me, "Go tell him he's not going to live much longer unless he judges himself in three areas. Number one, on MONEY."

This man had used the manifestation of spiritual gifts in his ministry to raise MONEY. That's not only not scriptural; it's not ethical. Those who are called to the ministry, including prophets, need to be very careful about MONEY. Ministers shouldn't be out for MONEY. Folks can't use the ministry to raise MONEY for themselves. Some folks in our day are flirting with disaster in this area and are right on the edge of it.

Then the Lord said to me, "Number two, tell him that he needs to judge himself on love. He's not walking in love toward his fellow ministers." This man would cut down fellow ministers without hesitation if they happened to cross him.

Then Jesus said, "Number three, tell him to judge himself on his diet." This minister didn't seem to exercise any self-control in his eating habits. Here again, this was a private manifestation of gifts of the Spirit operating in the office of the prophet. Probably ninety percent of the time, the prophet's ministry is in demonstration privately. Sometimes the Lord will instruct a prophet to go tell the person what the Lord has shown him, and sometimes He won't.

This time the Lord told me to go tell the man what the Lord had said. I started to get out of my car to go talk to the man, but just then someone else began talking to him. I sat back down in my car, and then my human reasoning took over.

I began to think, He's not going to listen to me anyway. As I sat there reasoning to myself, the minister I was supposed to talk to got in his car and drove away. I never had another opportunity to tell him what the Lord had shown me.

About three and a half years later, I was at a Voice of Healing convention. Word came that this minister was dying. Brother Lindsay invited all the ministers who were present to come up on the platform and agree together in prayer for this man's healing. I started to walk up to the platform, but the Spirit of God said to me, "Don't go up there." I stopped dead still, and asked, "Why not?" He said, "Because he's going to die." I asked, "Why is he going to die?" The Holy Spirit said, "Because he wouldn't judge himself and walk in love towards his fellow ministers. I judged him, and turned him over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus" (1 Cor. 5:5). So I just turned around and went to the back of the auditorium. Later that minister died just as the Lord had said he would. (Kenneth Hagin)

JESUS WONT DO IT BECAUSE HE HAS ALREADY DONE IT. NOW BELIEVE, ACT ON IT & RECEIVE IT

I remember I was ministering in the state of Oklahoma several years ago (we lived in Texas at the time). I met some preachers I'd known in Texas who had moved to Oklahoma. They were pastors now. One of the pastors told me: "Brother Hagin, we're going to bring a lady from our church who's crippled and can't walk a step. She's seventy-two years old, and she hasn't walked a step in the last four years. The doctor has said she'll never walk again." They brought her to the meeting, and I was ministering each night with an anointing of healing power.

But we had a lot of people to pray for, and when you're praying for a lot of folks, after a while the anointing will sort of lift from you. So by the time I got to this woman, the anointing was gone. Well, I knew then that I couldn't minister to her with the healing anointing. The people who brought her to the meeting came from a distance and they couldn't bring her back, so this was the only time I could minister to her. So I said, "Just sit her down here, and I'll minister to her." As I began ministering to her, among other things, I said to her, "Sister, did you know that you are healed?" I remember she looked at me, and her eyes got big, because here she was sitting there crippled and hadn't walked a step in four years. Her doctor was a specialist, and he had said, "She'll never walk another step the longest day she lives."

When I said, "Sister, did you know you are healed?" she said, "Oh, am I?" I said, "You sure are. You are healed. You're not going to be healed — you are! And I'll prove that to you by the Bible." I opened my Bible to First Peter 2:24 and laid it on her lap. I said to her, "Would you mind reading verse 24 out loud?" And she read aloud, "Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye WERE healed" (1 Peter 2:24). Then I said, "May I ask you a question?" She said, "You may." I said, "Notice, that last clause said, ". . . by whose stripes ye WERE healed. Is 'were' past tense, future tense, or present tense?" "Why," she said, "it's past tense." Then she said, "If we were healed, then I was healed!" You see, if you're going to believe what God said about healing, this is what you're going to believe: You've got to believe that we were healed and that you were healed.

"Yeah," someone said, "but I'm still sick." Well, you're not believing it then. You've gone back to believing what your head tells you. You see, a minute before, you said from your heart, "I believe God's Word." But then you slipped right back over to what your head told you, and you said, "No, I don't have it." You turned right back around and started walking by sight instead of by faith\

When this elderly woman said, "If we were healed, then I was healed," I said, "That's right! That's right!" Then before her mind could take over, I said to her real quickly, "Will you do what I tell you?" I knew Satan would try to put a doubt in her mind and try to take over and dominate her through her mind. Then she would say, "Well, if I was healed, then how come I can't walk? How come I'm still crippled? How come my healing isn't here?" So I said, "Will you do what I tell you?" She said, "I will if it's easy." (Everybody's always looking for something easy!) I said to her, "It's the easiest thing you ever did in your life." I said, "Just lift both of your hands and begin to praise God because you are healed. You're not going to be — you are!" I wish you could have seen that dear woman. As simply as a little child, she lifted her hands, and her face lit up like a neon sign in the dark. She shut her eyes and turned her head upward to Heaven and said, "Oh, dear Lord, ohhh! I'm so glad I'm healed! Oh! I'm so glad I can walk again." She hadn't walked a step yet. But, you see, she was talking out of her heart. She believed what the Word says. She believed according to that which is written — that which is spoken — that by Jesus' stripes she was healed! This dear woman continued: "Lord, You know how tired I got sitting around those four years, helpless. I'm so glad I'm healed and can walk again." You see, she'd gotten it in the right tense now. God's Word works for you when you get it in the right tense. I turned to the congregation and said, "Let's all lift our hands and praise God with her because she is healed." And we all lifted our hands.

The woman continued to say, "Thank You, Lord. I'm so glad I'm no longer helpless. I'm so glad I don't have to be waited on anymore. I'm so glad I can wait on myself. I'm so glad my knees are well. I'm so glad my limbs are well. I'm so glad I'm no longer crippled." We all praised God with her a few moments, and then I turned to her and said, "Now my Sister, arise and walk!" and I just held my hand out to her. Instantly, God and about five hundred people as my witness, she leapt to her feet! She leapt to her feet, and she sat back down real quickly, and then she jumped up again. She'd sit down, and she'd jump up. She was completely healed! I'll tell you, most seventy-two-year-old folks couldn't have done that if they hadn't been crippled. But this woman was jumping up and down.

Then she ran over a few steps and stood there and danced a little jig for joy. For about ten minutes she'd run, dance for joy, and come back and sit down in the same place. Then she'd jump up again. We all just shouted and laughed and cried with her. This dear woman had been sitting around four years and hadn't walked a step. She was helpless, and the doctor said she'd never walk again. But here she was walking and jumping and leaping like the healed man who went into the temple walking and leaping and praising God (Acts 3:. And then somebody went off and lied on me, saying, "You know, that fellow Hagin healed a crippled woman over there at the church last night." I never had a thing in the world to do with that woman's healing! I never had anymore to do with it than you could have had to do with it. All I did was just bring her the Word, and the Word did it!

That elderly woman just found out what belonged to her — what had been hers all the time. Really, in the mind of God, she was healed all those four years she had been sitting around crippled. But she never believed it before. She didn't get her believing in the right tense. All that time she had been seeking healing. Afterward, another dear woman in the same church came to me afterward and said, "Brother Hagin, that crippled woman got healed. Why won't God heal me?" Bless her heart. I feel so sorry for folks like that because I see they've never caught on to what's going on. I feel so sorry I could cry. Very often I get in my car and drive away from a service weeping because folks have never caught on to what you're talking about. So many of them close their minds and don't continue to meditate on God's Word, and God's Word can't go down on the inside of them because they won't let it. This woman had been prayed for several times. I had prayed for her and laid hands on her more than once myself. And she asked, "Why won't God heal me?" I said, "Now Sister, God's done all He's ever going to do about healing you."
"Oh, you mean God's not going to heal me?" I said, "I didn't say that." I said, "He's done all He's ever going to do about healing you." "You mean He's not going to heal me?" I said, "I didn't say that." I said, "He's already done something about your healing. He's already purchased your healing for you. That scripture — the same verse I gave to that crippled woman — said, '. . . by whose stripes ye WERE healed'" (1 Peter 2:24).

"Well, I'll tell you what I think about it," she said. I said, "I know you will. And that's what's got you in the mess you're in. You're going by what you think about it instead of what God said about it." "Well," she said, "I'm going to keep on praying. I believe that sometime, somewhere, some way, God's going to heal me." I said, "No, He isn't! I know He isn't because He already has Certainly, I know the manifestation will come sometime if you'll believe it. But you've got to believe in the right tense because God already has healed you!" God's Word is! Faith is! Faith is present tense: Now faith is (Heb. 11:1)!.

A TRUE DEMONSTRATION OF FAITH

In 1952, we were planning to hold a tent meeting in Clovis, New Mexico. When I told my mother about our proposed trip, she told me to drive carefully because "there are so many wrecks all the time."

She admitted that when I traveled, she stayed awake all night, praying, afraid a call would come saying I had been in a wreck. I told her that if she had been praying in faith, she could have gone to sleep. (I had to tell my own mother the truth just the same as anyone else.) She said, "Son, I know you have faith. I never had much myself." (She was a member of a Full Gospel church, too, and she was talking herself right out of God's blessings.) She said she knew I probably prayed every minute I was on the road. I told her, "I never do. I never even pray that God will be with me." "What makes you talk that way? What's gotten into you?" she said.

"Nothing but the Word," I told her. I reminded her that Jesus had already promised us, "I will never leave thee nor forsake thee" (Heb. 13:5). I told her I always start out by saying, "Heavenly Father, I'm so thankful for your Word. I am so glad that Jesus is with me." The 34th Psalm says, "The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them." I told my mother that angels, as well as God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, are with me. I go singing and rejoicing. (Kenneth Hagin)

ARE YOU A BUTCHER OR A DOCTOR?

Don’t kill off all the lambs; else you will never have any full-grown sheep. Your congregation can't grow if you're continually killing all the lambs.

You leave the lambs alone. Feed and nurture them, but just leave them to Me. They're going to romp around and run in and out, and sometimes they may run off yonder over the hill because they're little lambs. And you might even think they are gone for good. But before you know it, they'll come back. Just leave them alone.

But if you kill off all the sick sheep in your flock instead of nurturing them and taking care of them. If some of the people in your congregation need a spiritual operation, instead of praying for them and nurturing them, you butcher them up.

"In the natural, if one of your church members had something wrong with him, you might be able to find the problem by taking a butcher knife and opening him up and cutting out the infected area. But what kind of mess would he be in when you got through with him?

You need to nurture sick sheep, not butcher them! You could get most of them healed if you'd give them the Word. And if any of them do need an 'operation,' you just leave that to Me, and let Me operate on them."

PLANS, PURPOSE AND PURSUIT

I bless all of My people as far as I can. But the reason there is not the move of God and the depth of the flow of the Spirit, and the fullness of the manifestation of the Holy Ghost today is because men do not take time to hear from Me. And they do not take time to follow My plan set forth in the scriptures. The more closely you follow My plan, the more My power will be in demonstration and in manifestation.

Go out into the highways and hedges and gather in the lost sheep. It is enough for you to begin to change your vocabulary.
I expect you to walk in the light of what you know. I Am ready to change any condition.

At the present time, churches and spiritual activities are in conflict with what I intended for them. The pastoral leaders and church members worship Me in formality and know Me merely as a written theory. With a burning desire, come and meet Me.

If your joy is in your wallet, you will lose that joy if your wallet is stolen. But if your joy is in Me and not in things, no matter what leaves you, you will still be joyful.

How badly do you want spiritual power? Are you willing to do whatever it costs to get spiritual power?

Where two or three are gathered together in faith in My name, I Am there in the midst of them to do signs and wonders.

Be superior to power instead of been driven by power

If I required you to forgive your brother if he sinned against you 490 times in a day, but I wasn't willing to do the same thing, then I would be unjust.

Spiritual growth is similar to natural growth.

Some ministers live and die and never even enter into the first phase of the ministry I have for them. That's the reason many of them, not all of them, but many of them die young and don't live their full length of time out down here. When you are not in the will of God, then to some extent, you are in disobedience. When you are in disobedience, Satan can attack you. He has a right to attack you when you are in disobedience because you are on his territory.

PRAYING IN TONGUES
Among men a language has never come into existence that carries the vocabularies to express everything I Am in you through Christ Jesus. Since there was no language with such vocabulary, I had to create My own and loan it to you while you are on the earth. I just loan it to you till you come to heaven: meanwhile you know in part and I know everything – My entire redemption plan for all eternity. Whenever the devil comes against you, don’t worry about it. Because of your infirmities, I will start making intercession for you according to My plan for you. And even though you only know in part, I will pray the part that you need.
If you will faithfully continue to get to know Me by My Spirit – and an important part of that process is praying in other tongues – then five years from now, you will never be the same. You wont look back over the years and lament that every day was the same, one month just like the next, until three and four years slipped by, and you ended up just as defeated and unchanged as you were at the beginning of that time period.
You shall be spared of any of these diseases, for you have to go and carry the message of the Lord to all the parts of the earth
You have to learn the vocabulary of silence. If you can’t talk My Word, shut up.

WHAT A WONDERFUL JESUS WE HAVE

I was once at an afternoon meeting. The Lord had been graciously with us and many had been healed by the power of God. Most of the people had gone home and I was left alone, when I saw a young man who was evidently hanging back to have a word. I asked, "What do you want?" He said, "I wonder if I could ask you to pray for me." I said, "What's the trouble?" He said, "Can't you smell?" The young fellow had gone into sin and was suffering the consequences. He said, "I have been turned out of two hospitals. I am broken out all over. I have abscesses all over me." And I could see that he had a bad breaking out at the nose. He said, "I heard you preach, and could not understand about this healing business, and was wondering if there was any hope for me."

I said to him, "Do you know Jesus?" He did not know the first thing about salvation, but I said to him, "Stand still." I placed my hands on his head and then on his loins and cursed that terrible disease in the name of Jesus. He cried out, "I know I'm healed. I can feel a warmth and a glow all over me." I said, "Who did it?" He said, "Your prayers." I said, "No, it was Jesus!" He said, "Was it He? Oh, Jesus! Jesus! Jesus, save me." And that young man went away healed and saved. Oh, what a merciful God we have! What a wonderful Jesus is ours!

Are you oppressed? Cry out to God. It is always good for people to cry out. You may have to cry out. The Holy Ghost and the Word of God will bring to light every hidden, unclean thing that must be revealed. (Smith Wigglesworth)

NEVER SPEAK EVIL ABOUT SOMEONE ELSE

I remember in my home town of McKinney, Texas, there was a fellow by the name of Brother Smith. His church believed in a second definite work of grace and sanctification after the new birth. Their thinking was that it's all right whether or not you speak with tongues. But he was strong in the area of divine healing, because he had been well taught on the subject. He is an example of someone who retained his youth to a great extent, even when he was up in age.

Many years ago I scheduled some meetings to come back to my hometown of McKinney to preach two or three nights in my home church. It was a Full Gospel church. Brother Smith came out to one of my meetings even though he wasn't a member of that church. When the service was over, he said to me, "You know, Brother Hagin, I always liked to hear you preach because you always preach positive — you always preach on faith and healing. I like that." He continued: "Brother Hagin, I'll be ninety years old in three weeks. And you know, I'm just as good a man — just as strong — in every way as I was as a young man." And he looked good.

He said, "God's kept me. You know, I haven't been sick in forty years. I got to reading in the Bible one day where Jesus said, 'The very hairs of your head are numbered' [Matt. 10:30; Luke 12:7]. In other words, He knows just how many hairs you have in your head. "I got to thinking about that years ago. And I said to the Lord, 'Well, Lord, You know how many hairs I have. I'm just going to believe You to keep my hair.'" So at age ninety, this man had all of his hair. Not only that, but Brother Smith at ninety years of age had only a few grey hairs. He believed God to keep his hair from turning grey.

My wife had never met Brother Smith before that night. Later I asked her, "If Brother Smith hadn't told us, how old would you think he is?" She said, "Not a day over fifty-five." Brother Smith was also a man of wealth, yet he'd get out and work every day. In fact, he'd outwork most young men. After Brother Smith shook hands with us, he started to go. But then he came back and said, "Brother Kenneth, I'll tell you something else. I also believed God to keep my teeth." And he opened his mouth and showed me he had every tooth in his head, and there was not a filling in one of them. They were all his own teeth at ninety years of age!

I'd never thought of that! I'd had one or two fillings, but after that, I never had any more! Now you understand that this is beyond just divine healing. But right on the other hand, the Bible says, "According to your faith be it unto you" (Matt. 9:29). Brother Smith believed God would do it according to His Word, and God did it. Brother Smith started to walk away the third time, and then he came back. He said, "Brother Kenneth, I'll tell you the secret of the whole thing. You already know it, but I'll tell you anyway." He said, "I asked God first of all to help me keep this — to help me keep my tongue," and he stuck his tongue out.

That is what I want you to see, and it has everything in the world to do with a person living a long life and staying healthy. You see, the Bible says, ". . . he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile" (1 Peter 3:10). When he said that, I remembered an incident that happened years before when I used to work for Brother Smith.

There was a fellow in our hometown who was a World War I veteran. He'd been gassed in the war, and if you know anything about what happened to some of those fellows, you know the after-effects were devastating. They would have spells from time to time, and they were affected mentally. After this fellow had gotten out of the war, he stayed in the hospital a lot. And when he got out, he took to drinking. He wasn't a Christian man, of course. If he'd been a Christian, he wouldn't have done some of the terrible things he did. But he began drinking, trying to escape from his physical condition because he'd been gassed in the war. And when he'd get drunk, he'd get mean. He'd just run people off the sidewalk and cut them with a knife. He cut two or three people up pretty severely, and they had to be put in the hospital.

McKinney was a small town of about eight or nine thousand people. And in McKinney, there wasn't anybody who could handle this drunk fellow except Ed Blakeman, the chief of police. All the rest of the policemen would just sort of run from this fellow, because if they didn't, they'd either have to shoot him or get cut themselves. But Ed Blakeman would always come and talk to him and put him in jail until he sobered up. Then he'd turn him loose. The whole town sympathized with the fellow because he was a veteran in that condition. They realized he wasn't altogether to blame. In fact, he was the finest, most splendid gentleman you ever saw until he would begin to feel bad physically and have those spells because of the war. Then he'd get drunk, and he'd get mean. One Saturday night he was in a cafe on the east side of the town square, and he was drinking. He pulled his knife on somebody. A policeman was nearby, and he ran out to call Mr. Blakeman. He said, " ____ is on a rampage again. You'd better get down here."

Mr. Blakeman got down there as fast as he could. Meanwhile the owner of the cafe had held the fellow off with a chair and finally pushed him out of the cafe and onto the crowded sidewalk. It was a Saturday night during the Depression Days, and the sidewalk was very crowded. Immediately, everybody got off the sidewalk because they knew this fellow. They knew he was just liable to cut up anybody he met. So Mr. Blakeman finally got there, and he met him right on the corner of the square in front of a variety store. He said to him, "Come on, _____ , we're going to jail. You're going to sleep this off." "No," he said, "I'm not going in this time, Ed." "Yes you are," Mr. Blakeman said.

And this fellow answered, "No, I'm going to cut your throat or you're going to kill me — one of the two." This World War I veteran had just gotten tired of his condition. And in his own mind, I guess he thought, Well, this is it. The man attacked Mr. Blakeman, and there wasn't anything he could do but pull his gun. So Mr. Blakeman shot him, and the fellow died as a result.
Everybody felt bad about it in a way. But then again, the whole town almost sighed a sigh of relief. After all, several people had nearly died from being cut up by this fellow. Yet no one had ever pressed charges against this man because they felt he just wasn't altogether himself. And when he'd go back into the hospital for a while, they'd think he was well enough to get out, and they'd let him out. When he was killed, everybody talked about it. Some people said, "Well, it's a good riddance. We hated for it to happen that way, but it's just a good riddance."

I remember I went on the job that day, and we were talking about it. And everybody was expressing his opinion about this fellow. But Brother Smith wouldn't say one evil thing about him. I remember hearing him say about the fellow, "Well, one thing about him, he did have pretty eyes." When Brother Smith said that, I thought, THAT FELLOW DID HAVE PRETTY EYES. So Brother Smith said something good about this man. He wouldn't say anything bad about him. And at ninety years of age, Brother Smith was just as strong as a younger man in every way because he had asked God to help him keep his tongue. I think some more of us could stand a little of that kind of preaching. "For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile" (1 Peter 3:10). (Kenneth Hagin)

DON’T RETURN EVIL FOR EVIL

One church I pastored had a lot of problems, but somehow or other, God gave me the wisdom to pastor that church, and He solved the problems. When I left that church, the congregation had grown and the church was full and running over. But the fellow who took over the pastorate after me ran into some problems pastoring that church. I was out in the field ministry by then and just happened to be in that area, so I thought I would drop in and visit with this new pastor. I'd heard he was having some troubles in the church, so I'd been praying for him. In fact, many times God would wake me up early in the morning, and I'd pray for him. I had compassion for him. After all, I'd pastored that church, and I knew some of the problems that existed. So when I came into town that particular day, I drove up to the parsonage, and this pastor came out to the car to talk to me. I told him I had some business in town and just wanted to stop by to see how he was doing. I asked him, "How are things going?" He said, "Things aren't right! People aren't paying their tithes."

Then he looked at me and demanded, "Have you been coming around here collecting these people's tithes?" When he asked me that, before I could say a word, he got so mad, he just reached in and grabbed ahold of my necktie. I thought he was going to pull me out of the car! Well, I have the flesh to deal with just like you do. I wanted to knock him in the head, but I knew I couldn't let the flesh dominate me. I could just see the headlines in the local paper, "Full Gospel Minister Knocks Full Gospel Pastor in the Head." But here he was accusing me of stealing the people's tithes! The Bible said not to render evil for evil or railing for railing. The world's way is that when people rail against you, you just retaliate and rail back against them. But the Bible says, "Contrariwise, render blessing, so that you can inherit a blessing." I said to him, "I haven't received a dime from the people in your church! Dear Brother, I've prayed for you more than once. Why, just the day before yesterday at four o'clock in the morning, I was down on my knees on the cold linoleum floor praying for you!" You see, I knew problems existed in that church because I had pastored it. God had told me how to deal with the people in that congregation, but now some of those same problems had surfaced again, and this pastor didn't know how to handle them. When I told this pastor I'd been praying for him, he jumped just like I'd hit him with a whip. Then he started crying, "My God! Brother Hagin, forgive me! I knew what I said wasn't right. I just had to lay off the blame on someone."

Then he admitted, "I've just been such a failure in this church. I haven't handled the situation right, and I've divided the church and run half the people off. You were a success and I wasn't, and I was trying to blame all the trouble off on you. Will you forgive me?" I said, "Sure, I forgive you." And then we hugged one another and fellowshipped awhile. We parted friends instead of enemies. Isn't that better than fighting? However, if I had let my flesh rule me, and I'd returned evil for evil and railing for railing, it wouldn't have turned out that way. But because I didn't allow my flesh to take over, that man is my friend to this day. (Kenneth E Hagin)

many need to be born again again. some gets worse each year in their faith. when they light to be teaching the Word some still need to be BABY-FED. As Christians, you don't pray to make heaven. where else do you want to go?. heaven is your true home.

ONLY ONE THING IS NEEDFUL IN LIFE

All I have been doing against witchcraft prior to 1979 were merely preliminary skirmishes. But from that point onward I was declaring total war against witchcraft. The reason is this – witchcraft has millions of men bound whom I need in My EndTime army. If you will join Me in this war, you will encounter people under curses that has been passed down through families from generation to generation. But you do not need to be afraid because you will be able to release them.

Witchcraft is the attempt to control people & make them do what you want by the use of any spirit which is not the Holy Spirit. If any person has a spirit which he or she uses, it is not the Holy Spirit because the Holy Spirit is God & no one uses God.

If you will realize what I Am leading you into, you will make an agreement with Me so that I can help you financially. Make Me Lord over your finances.

There was no use in My transferring money which you had laid up in heaven to an earthly bank when you didn’t need all of it at the time. When money is on earth, it is vulnerable to Satan and to the world’s system of finance. If I gave you $1,000 today, in nine months’ time, it probably wouldn’t be worth more than $750. You need to learn to exercise your faith in the fact that you have this money on deposit, and when you need it, all you have to do is call for it. Make your deposits with Me according to the rate of exchange which My Word guarantees and operate under My system of finance instead of the world’s system. We can make it work at the current rate of exchange at that time. It won’t matter if it takes a billion dollars to buy a loaf of bread—I can afford it!”

When you give, this deposit will enable you to call for a withdrawal.

PRAYER
Pray more. There are better things to be had in spiritual life, but they must be sought out with faith and prayer.

THE HELPERS LOVE
I will help anyone one who help the helpless. When you love those whom I love, you will always know My help. You will be given the helper by the measure of your love.

THE GREATEST EXPLOSION OF GOD’S POWER

What in your judgment is the greatest explosion of My power? It is not the creation of heaven and the earth. The explosion of the greatest nuclear blast is still just in the natural realm. When I created the heavens and the earth, in the first place that was still in the material natural realm. Nobody was against Me when I created the earth. My greatest explosion of power was when I raised Jesus Christ from the dead. That was a spiritual explosion of My word and My power. All was against Me. There were forces arrayed against Me. There were devils and demons in hell, all the wickedness in the earth, all of the bondage of hell itself. That was the greatest explosion of My power. The very same thing happened to you when you got born again. That’s how much power I have invested in your spirit. Before this will be over with, you will understand the stars, but you have to understand this too.

I do not reveal My power to get men to believe in My power, but to get men to believe in My love. If I had wanted to save the world with My power when I walked the earth, I would have moved mountains by pointing a finger. Then all men would have bowed to Me, but not because they loved Me, or loved the truth, but because they feared My power. I do not want men to obey Me because they feared My power, but because they loved Me, and they loved the truth.

If you do not know My love, then My power will corrupt you. I do not give you love so that you can know My power, but I give you power so that you can know My love. The goal of your life must be love, not power. Then I will give you power to love with. I will give you power to heal the sick because you love them, and I do not want them sick. Healing are the smallest of the gifts; it is but a drop in the bucket in view of what the Father has in store for His children. You shall do greater works than these.

THE DANGER OF WALKING IN GREAT POWER
There is a great danger in walking in great power. It has happened to many of My messengers, and that is part of the message they are to give to My last day church. You must walk in My power, and even much greater power than your predecessors experienced, but if you ever start to think that the power is My endorsing you, or even your message, you will open the door to the same delusion. The Holy Spirit is given to testify only of Me. If you are wise, like Paul, you will learn to glory more in your weakness than in your strengths.

You don't know how I long to do for My children if they would only ask Me and believe Me. Many times they beg and cry and pray, but they don't believe. And I cannot answer their prayers unless they have faith, because I cannot violate My Word. But how often I long to help them if only they would let Me by taking Me at My Word and bringing Me their problems, trusting Me to undertake for them.

Be faithful with money and with your tongue, then I can be able to use you to speak for Me.

As long as you chose this WAY- the way of the cross- you will always have My power and anointing in your life. But if you depart from this WAY, you will lose My power and My anointing in your life.

I love My people so much. Why do people not take Me at My Word? Do they not know that I have all power in heaven and on earth to back up what I said? It is so easy. I made it so simple. If people would just take Me at My Word, I will do what I said.

I do not understand why people say they believe I will do something, but when it does not happen in their time, they begin to doubt My Word. If they will just believe and say with confidence that I will do it, I will do it at the correct time.

I want you to study the lives of My generals in My great army throughout time. Know them like the back of your hand. Know why they were a success. Know why they failed, and you will lack nothing in that area. If you will be faithful in these studies, I will see that you meet the great generals of this day.

If you will be faithful in this thing, I will promote you.

GET PREPARED FOR WHAT’S COMING

I will never forget the meeting I had in England, in a place named Watford. I was asked to preach for three consecutive nights at a Church of God. God said to me, "You will not preach one word." I asked, "Why?" "The people have not come to hear a sermon; they have come to see a sermon. You will sit down and not speak one word and I will heal the whole church."

I clearly remember sitting down in that meeting and I remember my wife, Marina, looking at me as if to say, "Take the microphone, Renny. People are beginning to get nervous." Then the Lord said this to my spirit. "Manifestations are to be invited. When they are invited, then they have to be entertained. If you don't step into it, you'll find the manifestation lifts." The Lord said, "Have them worship."

As we were worshiping the Lord, I saw a cloud come over the meeting and it covered the entire sanctuary. Everyone was worshiping. People in wheelchairs stood up—healed. Bones formed and not a prayer was prayed. Eardrums formed; legs grew out four to five inches, just by being in the presence of the Lord.

The Lord said to me, "Worship is an affirmation of Me being present. That's why when I am affirmed I have to manifest Myself." I sat down and wheel chairs came up one by one. Hearing aids came up. The platform was filled with hearing aids, glasses, canes and crutches. This is what the people said, "When you stood and said, 'The Lord is going to minister,' we knew it could only be God, the way it all happened." I clearly remember that my speech left me and I took my seat. As I sat, the cloud of the Lord came over the congregation. They saw Jesus sitting next to me. He got up and stood before them with His hands raised and people audibly heard Him say, "Rise and be thou healed."

The total congregation stood up and was healed. There was a woman there with twenty-two diseases in her body. She stood up when she saw Jesus stand up and say, "Rise and be thou healed." Later, when she went to the doctor, the test results showed all twenty-two diseases had vanished. The doctors were reporting that cancers were being healed. Twenty-eight cases were healed in one night and not a prayer was prayed. When I went back to my hotel room, the Lord said to me, "Would you like to see that again?" I said, "Lord, I would like to see more than that." He said, "Down through the ages I have given every man and woman a foretaste of the realm that is going to be on the earth, and this is one of them." People want to know if Jesus is in the house. We are approaching a time where we are not concerned whether we hear a message. Our concern is whether or not Jesus in the house.

He said further, "There will no longer be personalities of man. It's going to be the personality of Me in the house. Signs and wonders and miracles will be the norm, but My people will come out of personalities. And they will come into Me."

OVERTIME
We are in overtime! As we broke into January 2001, the Lord showed me seals over the church. One of them is finances. One is creative miracles, and one is revelation knowledge. I'm seeing the plan and cycle of God. This is so different from any other time because now we are in overtime. That's why no one can tell you what is going to happen. We are in overtime. You ask me why? We have almost fulfilled the days according to time. Things are being revealed now. That's why the Bible uses the word dispensation, meaning "a revealed period of time." Knowing the supernatural acts of God is a must for the vessels set in the Glory! The only way we are going to know what is happening on the earth now is by revelation. You're coming to a place where you listen to the prophetic voice, as you never have before. The Bible says in Amos 3:7 (KJV), "Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. If there is an hour when prophets are going to dream, if there is ever an hour when prophets are going to see visions, if there is an hour when prophets are going to have their angels visit them and tell them what is about to come, we are living in that hour.
Just after the fall things were so aligned to the earth. The Spirit world started to walk among men. Now is the hour when angels will begin to come into your churches and sit down with you. You'll have a spirit here and a spirit there. Just know there are angels dispatched for this period of time to help the church to bring in the harvest. This is no time to play games. This is no time for business as usual. This is the hour the church will have her act together. I believe there will be city-wide miracles. I believe there will be statewide miracles. Miracles will literally shake a city and a state. I believe one miracle will bring government officials to their knees calling for an explanation of this move of God. God will hold nothing back in this hour! (Renny Mclean)

HOW CLOSE TO JESUS DO YOU WANT BE?

THE TRAGEDY OF LUKEWARMNESS
These are the times when knowledge increases. Knowledge of My ways is also increasing with My people. Your generation has been given more understanding than any other generation, but few are living by their understanding. The time has come when I will no longer tolerate those who say they believe Me, but do not obey Me. The lukewarm are about to be removed from among My people. Those who do not obey Me do not really believe in Me. By their lives, they teach My people that disobedience is acceptable.

DON’T EVER LOVE SIN

As Solomon wrote, “because the sentence against an evil deed is not executed quickly, therefore the hearts of the sons of men among them are given fully to do evil” (Ecc8:11) this has happened to many of My people, and their love has been growing cold. My judgments are going to come more swiftly as grace to keep My people’s heart from giving themselves fully to evil. They are about to know that the wages of sin is death. They cannot continue to call on Me to deliver them from their troubles when they still love sin. I will give a little more time to judge yourself so that I will not have to judge you, but that time is short.

ALL POWER & MORE

The last day church will not be greater than their generation, even if you do greater works. All that is done is done by My grace. However, I will make more of My grace and more of My power available to the last day church, because she must accomplish more than the church in any age has yet accomplished. The last day believers will work in all of the power that I demonstrated and more, because they will be the final representatives of all who have gone before them. The last day church will demonstrate My nature and My ways as they have never been demonstrated before by men. It is because I Am giving you more grace, and to whom much is given, much will be required.

DO ALL FOR THE SAKE OF THE GOSPEL

You can be distracted the most by those who are most like Me if you do not see through them to see Me. There is also another trap for those who come to know more of My anointing & power than others. They are often distracted by looking at themselves. My savants must become blind so that they can see. Paul is one of My best examples of this. It was because of My grace that I allowed him to persecute My church. When he saw My light he understood that his own reasoning had led him into direct conflict with the very truth he claimed to be serving. Your reasoning will always do that. It will lead you to do that which is exactly contrary to My will. Greater anointing brings greater danger if this happens to you. If you do not learn what Paul did, if you do not take up your cross every day, putting all that you are & all that you have before it, you will fall because of the authority & power that I will give you. Until you learn to do all things for the sake of the gospel, the more influence that you have, the greater the danger that you will be in.

YOUR CLOSENESS WITH JESUS

You are an earthen vessel, and that is all that you will be while you walk the earth. However you can see Me clearly, if you will look with the eyes of your heart. You can be just as close to Me as anyone has ever been closed to Me, and even more so. I have made the way for everyone to be as close to Me as they truly desire to be. If you really desire to be even closer to Me than Paul was, you can. Some will want this, and they will want it badly enough to lay aside anything that hinders their intimacy with Me to give themselves fully to it, and they will have what they seek.

If it is your quest (desire) to walk closely with Me, I will be just as close to you. If you will seek Me, you will find Me. If you draw near to Me, I will draw near to you. It is My desire to set a table for you right in the midst of your enemies. This is not just My desire for My leaders, but for all who call upon My name.

I want to be much closer to you and to everyone who calls upon Me, than I have yet been able to be with anyone who has lived. You determine how close we will be, not I. I will be found by those who seek Me. I love to give My children the good gifts that they ask for. You will only have wisdom and judgment as you abide in Me. Do not even ever stop seeking Me. The more you mature, the less you will seek to hide from Me or others, so that you can always walk in the light.

THE COMMISSION

You are but one of the many who have been prepared for this hour. Preach and write about all I will show you. What I have said to you, say to My brethren. Go and call My captains to the last battle. Go and defend the poor and the oppressed, the widows and the orphans. This is the commission of My captains, and it is on earth you will find them. My children are worth more to Me than the stars in the heavens. Feed My lambs. Watch over My little ones. Give the word of God to them that they may live. Go to the battle. Go and do not retreat. Go for I will come quickly. Obey Me and hasten the day of My coming.

Y SO MANY OLD CHRISTIANS ARE STILL BABIES

Once my wife and I stayed in a certain couple's home while attending a convention. The woman had been in our church before she had married. They asked us to pray for their baby boy, just a few months old, who had a rupture. The doctors wanted to operate on him.

We cursed the rupture and commanded it to wither and die. In a matter of a few days, it had disappeared completely and the baby never had to have the operation. The baby's mother said, "Brother Hagin, I don't mean to be critical, but in our church it seems that we younger people are the only ones who have any faith for healing. I didn't know who to ask to pray for the baby before you came, because no one ever gets healed here."

We ought to grow stronger in faith the older we get, but too often we don't. In her church, as in so many, most of the people were saved when they were younger, and God permitted others to pray for them then. But because of a lack of right teaching, they remained in that babyhood stage of Christian development. They said, "We used to get healed when we were first Christians, but now we don't."

It would make just as much sense for you never to have any clothes of your own—always depending on wearing somebody else's clothes—as it would for you never to exercise your own faith or do your own praying, always depending on somebody else's prayers. What happens to people who never attempt to exercise any faith of their own, but always rely on other people's faith? (Kenneth E. Hagin)

THE REASON FOR THE LACK OF PROPHETS TODAY

There are many people I have called to be My mouthpiece, but they fell by the wayside before they could become what I wanted them to be.

There’s a crown for soulwinners. My people are so careless and indifferent. This crown is for every one of My children. I speak and say, 'Go speak to this one or pray for that one,' but My people are too busy. They put it off, and souls are lost because they will not obey Me.

People selfishly say they are ready for heaven. They talk about their mansions and the glories of heaven while many around them live in darkness and hopelessness. You should share My hope with them and invite them to come to heaven with you.

It is not My desire for one of My creation to go to Hell, not one! I never made Hell for man. Hell was made for the devil and his angels. You have to go and tell them! I've given you a mouth, you go and tell them. It's not your job to convince them. It's the Holy Spirit’s job! You just go and tell them! The devil and demons hate you because you're made in My image, and they hate Me.

I love My people so much that I would go back to earth, preach My three years over again, and die for just one person. If I had not already paid the price for them, and if I thought they wanted to come to heaven, I would do it all over again. I would not have to know they would make it. If I just thought they wanted to come, I would do it for them, even if they were the greatest sinner of all.

Warn men and women about hell. THE TIME OF THE END OF ALL THINGS IS AT HAND. All the gifts of the Spirit will be in operation in the Church in these last days, and the Church will do greater things than even the Early Church did. It will have greater power, signs, and wonders than were recorded in the Acts of the Apostles. You have seen and experienced many healings, but you will now behold amazing miracles that have not been seen before.

More and more miracles will be per-formed in the last days which are just ahead, for it is time for the gift of the working of miracles to be more in prominence. We now have entered into the era of the miraculous. Many of My own people will not accept the moving of My Spirit, and will turn back and will not be ready to meet Me at My coming. Many will be deceived by false prophets and miracles of satanic origin. But follow the Word of God, the Spirit of God, and Me, and you will not be deceived. I Am gathering My own together and Am preparing them, for the time is short.

As it was in the days of Noah, so also shall the coming of the Son of Man be. As I spoke to Noah and said, 'For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth' [Gen. 7:4], so today I Am speaking and giving America her last warning and call to repentance, and the time that is left is comparable to the last seven days of Noah's time.

"Warn this generation, as did Noah his generation, for judgment is about to fall. And these sayings shall be fulfilled shortly, for I Am coming soon. This is the last revival. I Am preparing My people for My coming. Judgment is coming, but I will call My people away, even unto Myself, before the worst shall come. But be thou faithful; watch and pray, for the time of the end of all things is at hand. The coming move of God will be lost unless the people are taught how to move with My Spirit

Don’t let your understanding of a doctrine ever be a reaction to the extremes you see in certain Christians. Get your understanding from My word. Forget the extremes you see in them.


THE MISSION

I Am calling you to a great work. I Am ordaining you to a great work. You will have to run like no one else and preach like no one else. You will have to be different from everyone else. Hard times will come, but take them as stepping stones, not as stumbling blocks. Go with power and with faith. I will be beside you wherever you go. Go, go, go! Go and do as I have done.

When the Word of God is fulfilled, then the end will come. No man knows the day or the hour when I will return to the earth. Not even the Me, for that is known only by the Father. The Word is quickly being fulfilled. Come as a little child, and let Me cleanse you from the works of the flesh. Say to Me, "Lord Jesus, come into my heart and forgive me of my sins. I know that I am a sinner, and I repent of my sins. Wash me in Your blood, and make me clean. I have sinned against heaven and before You and am not worthy to be called a son. I receive You by faith as my Savior." I will give you pastors after My own heart, and I will be your Shepherd. You will be My people, and I will be your God. Read the Word, and do not forsake the assembling of yourselves together. Give your whole life to Me, and I will keep you. I will never leave or forsake you.
