AMAZING FACT MUSIC & YOUR SOUL (1)

Two experiments were carried out. In the first experiment, growing plants were placed in a secured room where corrupt music saturated the air constantly. In the second experiment, Christian worship songs were played instead. Over time, the first plant withered while the second plant blossomed.

Friends, this is exactly what happens when we subject our souls to music. Some music are not worth listening, they left you worse than you were & you may not be aware. Devil inspired music injects so much deposit himself into ones soul. He seeks to this to prevent us from radiating the deposit of light we have inside. Such music makes one insensitive to God. It destroys sensitivity to God. It injects lusts, strife, hatred, etc into ones soul – something Jesus wants to protect you from.

Saturate your life with anointed worship! You will blossom, triumph, transported into God’s throne Himself & your life will never remain the same. When you make a practice of this, one day you will break-loose & become like Jesus, I tell you, that’s the change you’ve been desiring.

Now think of what will happen if you saturate your soul with Jesus anointed sermon over a long period of time. Your soul will receive much rub-off of the anointing from Jesus Himself. Your soul will be mingled with the anointing. That anointing will saturate your very being, the atmosphere around you & even get on your cloths, furniture and things. Guys, this is what we need in this age & time.

BE A LIVING EXAMPLE BEFORE YOUR WIFE AND KIDS

Often people undo their prayers! They may have prayed and even asked others to pray, but then they nullify their prayers and the faith of those who are praying with them by speaking negatively. Talk faith, not doubt! I once knew a minister who asked me and others to pray for his son.

However, at the same time he was requesting prayer, he would tell his boy, "You'll never amount to anything. I don't know what in the world I'm going to do with you! I have done everything I can do. I have prayed and prayed, but it looks like my prayers don't do any good."

This man was confessing defeat and failure rather than victory and faith. He was building doubt and insecurity into his son. This is why so many people have lost their children. As we pray for our children, we must not do anything in our home that would nullify the effects of our prayers. We must build confidence and trust in our children. We must instill a sense of security in them. Before I was married, I usually stayed in the homes of pastors during revival meetings, and I often felt sorry for their children.

I particularly remember one pastor's 12-year-old son. His parents were impatient and short-tempered with him. They were always telling him he would never amount to anything. Sure enough, he didn't! He broke the hearts of his parents. He was married several times, and he never provided a living for his family.

These parents may have prayed and asked their church to pray. They may have shed many tears and even fasted. But their lives nullified the effects of their prayers. From the spiritual standpoint as well as the natural standpoint, the things that happen to children in their early years are what mold their lives as adults. Let these years be spiritually rich and meaningful for your children. Let your life match your words. Work with God; don't work against Him.

I also have seen pastors' children neglected. The pastors' wives were so busy working in the church that their children were left alone to do as they pleased. That's why I told my wife when we were first married, "I'll run the church and you run the house." In the first church we pastored after we were married, we were told it was their custom for the pastor to teach the adult Bible class of men and the pastor's wife to teach the women.

I told them my wife doesn’t teach Sunday School. They argued, "But it's our custom here. We have been doing this for more than 20 years!"

"Well, I just changed that custom," I replied. "We'll consolidate the two classes and make one big auditorium class, and I will teach it. My wife doesn't teach Sunday School." When they asked me why, I told them, "I am going to preach and pastor the church. My wife is going to stay home and keep house and take care of me and our children, when we have them. I want her to run things there, and I'll run things here. There are many capable people in the church who can work, so let's put them to work."

When they wanted to make Oretha (his wife) president of the women's missionary council, I put my foot down again. "She can attend the meetings," I told them, "but she won't serve in any capacity." This has paid off well for us. (Kenneth E. Hagin)

LIVE CLEAN BEFORE GOD & MEN: DON’T DEFRAUD PEOPLE

My wife and I held a meeting for a certain lady pastor —a very spiritually beautiful woman—who related this story to me herself: An evangelist was coming to town. He got all the
churches he could to cooperate with him in a city-wide meeting. He rented the city auditorium. It is a sorry thing to have to say, but everyone in the ministry is not honest. Because this man had a poor credit rating, the city auditorium demanded payment in advance. So he went through this woman pastor. She was gullible enough to say her church would stand responsible for $3,000 rent and all newspaper advertising. Crowds of 2,000 to 3,000 attended every night. He took up a lot of money, but he left town without paying one bill. This woman's church had to take $5,000 out of their building fund to cover this evangelist's expenses.

This lady pastor told me, "Brother Hagin, if I had listened to my heart, I would never have done that." I said to her, "I heard you recovered your money." She said, "I sure did. I found out where he was holding a meeting in another state. I got an airplane ticket and went there. The service had already started. I waited. Just when they were about to turn the service to him I marched down the aisle and toward the platform. An usher tried to stop me. I said, 'No, I am a minister of the gospel. I want to see this scoundrel.' I walked right up on the platform and plopped myself down beside him. "I said, 'I have come after my $5,000. I will take the offering tonight. I brought my attache case along. We will dump all the offering in there. And I will stay around here every night until my church recovers all of our money.' "He said, 'Well, now we ...' "I said, 'No, if you don't give me back all of my money, when they say they are going to turn the service over to you, I am going to take the pulpit and tell the people what happened. And not only that, I am going to follow you from meeting to meeting. In every meeting, I am going to come up on the platform and make the same announcement and tell the people what you did.' "

Needless to say, in two nights she had her money and she was on her way home. I glory in her spunk. But the point I want to make is this. She said to me, "Brother Hagin, if I had listened to my spirit, this never would have happened. I don't mean if I had listened to a voice; I don't even mean a still, small voice. I just mean if I had listened to the inward witness. I had a check in my
spirit. If I had listened to it, I wouldn't have stood good for his debts." If we as individuals would have listened to our hearts—
to an inward witness, or an inward voice—we would not have done some things we did.

I have lost money by not listening to that inward witness. I knew on the inside that I should not do some things. Why did I do it? Well, why do any of us not listen to the inward witness? But just because you make a mistake, don't quit. You don't quit physically just because you make a mistake. If the phone rings in the middle of the night and you stumble over a stool and fall down trying to answer it, you don't just lie there. You get up and answer the phone. Just because you bust your shins or stub your toe physically, you don't quit. And just because you bust your shins or stub your toe spiritually, you don't quit either. (Kenneth E. Hagin)

BABY DEACON

A deacon, a leader, (who) supposed to be setting an example in the church, got mad and wouldn't come (to church). I knew something happened because his wife kept coming. (SOME MEN WOULD BE IN A MESS IF THEY DIDN'T HAVE GOOD WIVES.) I saw him in town and he would hardly talk to me. He was hard and cold, puffed up like a toad frog. His wife was a sweet person and I asked her, "What's wrong with him?"

She said, "Oh, he's mad about something. He went home from church and went to bed. He wouldn't even talk to me for three days. I finally just asked him what was wrong. I thought maybe it was me. But it wasn't. And it's not exactly you. Somebody sat in his pew (chair). He always sits right here in the second pew, the second seat from the end. When he got here and someone was sitting there, he got so mad he stood up. He wouldn't sit anywhere else." A man like that isn't fit to be a deacon. God never planned that he would remain a spiritual baby. He wants us to grow spiritually. (Hb5:11,12-13) iiTm3:7

How important it is for we as Christians to grow up. That Deacon’s DIAPERS fell off him. That’s what spontaneously happens when one is immature. Whatever the cost, lets strive to be better in our earth-walk. (Kenneth E. Hagin)

There’s still too much carnality in our midst. Our love need to be perfected. We need to walk in love, loving even our enemies. We’re now in a new age, a new season. At the fullness of time there will be God’s greatest move on this earth ever recorded. You either be a part of it or a spectator. Prepare for what is to come. We will shake this world to its very foundation. Sinners will have to relocate to cities where they can freely sin. God’s mighty River of Life will flow from within Him & FLOOD this planet earth. The glory of God will hover on the atmosphere around us. There’s hope for this earth. This earth will be redeemed.

AN INSTRUCTION FROM BIBLE’S JONAH (I)

‘’The judgment of God is about to be revealed on the earth. Even so, Mercy triumphs over judgment. The Lord always extends mercy before judgment. If you will warn the people that His judgments are near, His mercy will save many.”

I did not recognize the one speaking, but it was another man of great stature and nobility, with a brilliance that indicated a high rank.

“I am Jonah,” he said. “When you understand the Lord’s judgments, you understand His ways. However, even if you understand them, it does not mean that you agree with them. Understanding is necessary, but it is not enough. The Lord also wants you to agree with Him. You have often asked for the Lord’s presence to go with you. That is wisdom. I was a prophet, and I knew Him, yet I tried to flee from His presence. That was a great folly, but not as foolish as you may think. I had come to understand the great burning that comes with His presence. I had come to understand the responsibility that comes from being close to Him. In His presence, all wood, hay and stubble is consumed. When you draw close to Him with hidden sin in your heart, it will drive you to insanity. As many have learned through the ages, I was not trying to flee from the will of the Lord as much as I was fleeing from His presence.

“When you ask for the reality of His presence, you are asking for the reality that you have seen here to be with you. Heaven is your true home, and it is right for you to yearn for this. Even so, He is a holy God, and if you will walk closely with Him, you, too, must be holy. The closer that you get to Him, the more deadly hidden sin can be.”

“I understand this,” I replied. “That is why I asked for the Lord’s judgments in my own life.”

“Now I must ask you this,” Jonah continued. “Will you seek Him? Will you come to Him?”
“Of course,” I responded. “I desire His presence more than anything. There is nothing greater than being in His presence. I know that many of my motives for wanting to be with Him are selfish, but being with Him helps to set me free from that kind of selfishness. I do want to be with Him. I will come to Him.”

“Will you?” Jonah continued. “Until now you have been even more foolish than I was. You can come boldly before His Throne of Grace at any time and for any need, but rarely do you come. Yearning for His presence is not enough. You must come to Him. If you draw near to Him, He will draw near to you. Why do you not do it? You are always as close to Him as you want to be.

“Many have come to know and follow His ways, but they do not come to Him. In the times that you will soon enter, they will depart from His ways because they did not come to Him. You have laughed at my folly, which was great, but yours is even greater than mine. However, I do not laugh at your folly—I weep for you. Your Savior weeps for you; He intercedes for you continually. When He weeps, all of heaven weeps. I weep because I know how foolish His people are. I know you because you are just like me, and like me, the church has run to Tarshish, desiring to trade with the world even more than sitting before His glorious throne. At the same time, the sword of God’s judgments are hanging over the earth. I weep for the church because I know you so well.”

“I am guilty!” I pleaded. “What can we do?”
“Great storms are coming upon the earth,” Jonah continued. “I slept when the storm came upon the ship that I was in while running from the Lord. The church is also sleeping. I was the prophet of God, but the heathen had to wake me up. So it is with the church. The heathen have more discernment than the church at this time. They know when the church is going the wrong way, and they are shaking the church, trying to wake you up so that you will call on your God.

“Soon the leaders of the world will cast you overboard, just as the men in that ship had to do to me. They will not let you keep going in the way you are headed. This is the grace of God to you. He will then discipline you with a great beast that comes up out of the sea. It will swallow you for a time, but you will be vomited out of it. Then you will preach His message.”

“Is there no other way?” I asked. “Yes, there is another way,” Jonah replied, “although this has come and is coming. Some are already in the belly of the beast. Some are about to be cast overboard, and some are still sleeping, but almost all have been on the ship going the wrong way, seeking to trade with the world. However, you can judge yourself and He will not have to judge you. If you will wake yourself up, repent and go the way that He sends you, you will not have to be swallowed by the beast.”

“Is the beast to which you are referring the one in Revelation” I asked. “It is the same. As you read in that chapter, this beast is given to make war with the saints and to overcome them. This will happen to all who do not repent. But know that those who are overcome by this first beast will be vomited out of it before the next beast comes, the one that comes up out of the earth. Even so, it will be much easier for you if you repent. It is much better not to be swallowed by the beast.

“Just as Lot’s story is a warning to those who are given over to perversion, my story is a warning to the Lord’s prophet, the church. The church is running from the presence of the Lord. It is running to activity in place of seeking the Lord’s presence. You may call your activity ‘’Ministry,’’ but it is actually running from the presence of the Lord. As I have said, the church is running to Tarshish so that it can trade with the world and seek the treasures of the sea, while the greater treasures—the treasures of heaven—few are seeking.

“The sin of wanting to trade with the world has entangled the church, just as I was entangled in the belly of the beast with the weeds wrapped around my head. The weeds, the cares of the world, have wrapped themselves around the mind of the church. It took me three days to turn to the Lord because I was so entangled. It is taking Christians much longer. Their minds are so entangled with the world, and they have fallen to such depths, that many have no hope of getting free. You must turn to the Lord instead of away from Him. He can untangle any mess, and He can bring you up from the greatest depths. Run from Him no longer! Run to Him!” (Rick Joyner)

DANCING IN THE FLESH VS IN THE SPIRIT

I can illustrate the difference that dancing in the Spirit will have upon a service as opposed to dancing in the flesh by sharing some true stories with you.

Years ago when I was pastoring the church in Farmersville, Texas, we saw a woman from another church virtually raised up from a deathbed in one of our Thursday night services. Doctors had said she would be dead in a matter of a few days, but God healed her. The following Sunday, she attended our church.

I had this sister testify in the Sunday morning service and tell about her miraculous healing. That Sunday night during our evangelistic service, she was back again and there were outsiders and sinners present. I wanted them to hear her testimony, so I said, "Sister, stand up and give us your testimony."

She was sitting over to one side in the congregation, so she stood up and told how her husband had admitted her to three different clinics, but every doctor said the same thing: "We can't do a thing for you. You'll be dead in a matter of a few days." Then she told how God raised her up on Thursday. When she said that, she started dancing. You talk about dancing in the Spirit! I got up and went to the pulpit and preached my sermon. She danced all the way through my sermon. I gave the altar call, and she danced all through the altar call. We didn't have any rugs on the floor—we didn't even have enough money to buy rugs in those days—we just had wooden floors. But that little lady never made a sound as she danced! Sinners who had come to that meeting talked about it for months.

The next Saturday, she told us that she'd had to buy a new pair of shoes, and she showed us the pair of shoes she'd worn when she danced in the church. These shoes had just been bought the day before. She'd danced the 1/4-inch leather heel right off, yet no one ever heard a sound, and she never interrupted the service! I kept right on preaching. I couldn't even tell that she was dancing unless I looked over at her. That's a miracle in itself!

More recently, in one of our crusades, some people in the congregation got up and started what looked like a square dance right in the middle of a special song by the RHEMA singers! It quenched the move of the Holy Spirit immediately. God's Spirit was grieved. He had been moving in a marvelous way in the service, but when those people started square dancing, the congregation quit worshiping God or even listening to the singing. It just threw a damper on the whole service.
The Holy Spirit moved on one of our singers and he began to exhort the crowd that square dancing is not in the Spirit. Then the Holy Spirit came on him and he started dancing in the Spirit, and it brought the anointing back. Again, you see, the people brought brass into the temple of the Lord instead of gold. They substituted brass for gold!

When you look at the two—brass and gold—you can hardly tell the difference, can you? You've got to examine them closely to be able to tell the difference. But God wants pure gold!

During the visitation before Campmeeting when Jesus and I were standing above the crowd, I looked down and saw what would be the Wednesday night service of Campmeeting. I saw Buddy, my son-in-law, dancing in the Spirit, and I saw myself dancing in the Spirit. I also saw someone out of the crowd dancing in the Spirit. I didn't know who it was, except that it was someone who had never danced in the Spirit before but had always wanted to.

The next week at Campmeeting all this came to pass! Buddy danced in the Spirit just like I saw him doing! I simply acted out what I had already seen myself do. Then because I had seen it come to pass in the Spirit, I said to the people, "There's someone who has never danced in the Spirit, but you've always wanted to," and I pointed to the section where I'd seen someone dancing in that visitation.

A young man stood up and I said to him, "When I point my finger at you, the Holy Spirit will come upon you. Just go ahead and yield to Him. When the Holy Spirit comes upon you—you'll dance in the Spirit." I pointed my finger at him, the Holy Spirit came upon him, and he took off dancing in the Spirit!

There is a difference between dancing in the flesh just because you decide to and dancing in the Spirit under His unction. I'm just telling you what the Lord said to me; you can do with it what you want. What you do with it is up to you. Don't come fussing to me about it; all I know is what Jesus, the Head of the Church, said to me: "It is unscriptural to dance before the Lord in the New Testament. But it is scriptural to dance in the Spirit."

I'm speaking by the Spirit of God when I say that bringing brass into the temple grieves Him. Jesus said to me as we watched some people in the Campmeeting services dancing in the flesh, "I'LL BLESS THEM BECAUSE THEY ARE MY CHILDREN AND I LOVE THEM. BUT I CAN ONLY BLESS THEM SO FAR—THEY CANNOT HAVE THE FULL MEASURE OF MY BLESSING.”
I don't know about you, but I'm not satisfied with settling for second best from God! I want the best God has in every service. I want the FULL MEASURE of His blessing. I want the full flow of God's Holy Spirit to be in manifestation, don't you? (Kenneth Hagin)

GOD WAITED ON HIM FOR 30YRS TO PUT AWAY SIN

When my wife and I were still living in Texas, I went to pray for a man who had fluid in his lungs and was having difficulty breathing. The doctors had diagnosed him with cancer of the lungs. They said his lungs could only be drained so many times, and then they wouldn't be able to do anything else for him. I was standing on one side of his bed to pray for this man, and his brother-in-law was standing on the other side. I reached my hand out, laid it on the sick man's forehead, and started praying. As I prayed, I felt a warm hand take ahold of my hand and take it off his head. I opened my eyes and looked at the man. I thought maybe he had pulled my hand off his head because I was pressing too hard on his forehead. So I put my hand on the man again, shut my eyes, and started praying. But the same thing happened again. I felt a warm hand take my hand off his forehead. This time I kept my eyes open. I again laid my hand on his forehead with my eyes wide open. I couldn't see anything, but I felt a warm hand just take my hand off his head. I finally said to the Lord, "Lord, why did You take my hand off him?"

The Lord said, "Because he's going to die." I said, "But, Lord, he's only forty-three years old. You promised us long life. He's not old enough to die. How come he's going to die?" The Lord said, "I've been waiting on him for thirty years to judge himself and put away sin and live right. He was saved when he was thirteen years old. "I healed him one time of a broken back when he left his wife and was living in adultery. I waited on him for thirty years but he wouldn't judge himself, so I judged him and turned him over to Satan for the destruction of his flesh so his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. So you just leave him alone and let him come on home. He's ready now." Well, that was all revelation to me because I didn't know any of that about the man. But I don't just accept something just because it happens. I check up on it. The Bible said, "Prove all things, hold fast that which is good" (1 Thess. 5:21). So I talked to his sister. I told her what the Lord had said to me. She said, "Yes, that's exactly right. He left his wife and was living with another woman. One day he was working on a building, fell off a scaffold, and broke his back." This man's sister told me that the woman he was living with wouldn't take care of him, so he went back to his wife. He got to praying and got back into fellowship with God. Then he told his wife, "I'm healed!" and wanted the doctor to cut that cast off him. The doctor told him, "No, I can't do that. If I take that cast off now, you'll turn black and blue all over and fall dead on the floor." Well, the fellow finally convinced his sister to get the butcher knife and help him cut that cast off. Then he got out of bed, and just like the doctor had said, he turned black and blue and fell on the floor like he was dead. But then suddenly, he rose up completely healed. But he still didn't judge himself. God had told me, "I healed his back and waited on him for thirty years to judge himself and put away sin." Well, standing in that bedroom praying for the man, when the Lord told me not to pray for him, I didn't pray for him. The man asked me to take him down to the hospital so they could drain his lungs. After they drained his lungs, he could breathe better, so he came back home. He wasn't bedfast.

That afternoon my wife and I drove to East Texas to hold a meeting. We started the meeting on Sunday. On Sunday night, the phone rang, and it was this man's sister on the phone. She said, "My brother went home to be with the Lord just a little while ago." Then she told us what happened. She said, "The doctor came out and had Sunday dinner with us." This man's case was terminal, but he wasn't near death at that time. He could still go to the table and eat Sunday dinner with them. She related, "My brother asked the doctor, 'Doc, how much more time do I have?' "'Oh,' the doctor said, you don't have to worry about dying for another six months. We can only drain your lungs so many times. But the doctors are constantly working on a cure for cancer, and we might come up with a cure by then.' "My brother said, 'It may surprise you to know that I'm going home at 10:20 tonight.'" After dinner his sister went on to church. She told the pastor that her brother had said he was going home to be with the Lord at 10:20 that evening. Her brother couldn't go to church because he'd get to coughing and just disrupt the service. So he just stayed at home. After the service, the pastor drove by his house to check up on him. It was in the summertime, so the man was sitting out on the porch. The pastor told his sister, "I drove up to the curb and started talking to him." The house was fairly close to the curb, so the pastor just sat in his car and talked to the fellow. "I said to him, 'How are you doing?' "He said, 'Fine.' "I thought to myself, It's nearly 10 o'clock right now, and he looks fine to me. He's not going to die at 10:20! Here he is sitting on the front porch talking to me. So I came on home. "I had just barely gotten in the front door," this pastor said, "when the telephone rang. It was this man's sister. She told me, 'My brother died at 10:20, just like he said he would.'" Now that wasn't God's best. It wasn't God's perfect will for him to die at forty-three years of age. It was God's will for him to live out his full length of time down here without sickness or disease, but the man wouldn't judge himself and walk in love. The Bible said, "For this cause many are weak and sickly and die prematurely." You see, there are causes why people die prematurely. It's not God's best that His people don't live out their full length of time down here on this earth. But that's why we need to judge ourselves and make sure we walk in love. If you judge yourself, you'll not be judged by the Lord. (Kenneth E Hagin)

FORGET ABOUT PEOPLE’S MESSY PAST

Someone once said to me, "Did you hear what happened? That
preacher had an affair with his secretary." "He did? But it looks like God is really blessing him and his church. When did this happen?" I asked "Oh, about twelve years ago." He replied "Then why are you talking about it now! That shouldn't be told about him. That's a lie the devil told on him because that man repented and got right with God. So that sin has been blotted out by the blood of Jesus. "It's in the sea of forgetfulness. God forgot about it, and if you're going to walk in love, you've got to forget about it, too, and not go around talking about it!"

Did you ever read in the Bible where it said, "And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins" (1 Peter 4:. It also says, "Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins" (Prov. 10:12). Love is not out uncovering sins; love covers sin. I pastored nearly twelve years. I saw certain things about certain church members, but I never told anyone, not even my wife. Why? Because it may have damaged them. You may say, "But they did wrong." But most of the time those folks came to themselves and said, "Dear Lord! How did I get into this? Lord, please forgive me." And they got right back out of it. But if I'd gone and told it, then everyone would know, and every time they looked at the person, they'd think evil about that. And then the devil would try to bring it to their remembrance too. No! Love covers a multitude of sins! (Kenneth E. Hagin)

WE ALL NEED TO LEARN TO YIELD TO THE HOLY SPIRIT

At one time I belonged to a class who believed that they had received the baptism in the Spirit without the speaking in tongues. There are many folks like that today, but if you can go with them to a prayer meeting you will find them asking the Lord again and again to baptize them in the Spirit. Why all this asking if they really have received the baptism? I have never heard anyone who has received the baptism in the Holy Ghost after the original pattern asking the Lord to give them the Holy Ghost. They know of a surety that He has come.


I was once traveling from Belgium to England. As I landed I received a request to stop at a place between Harwich and Colchester. The people were delighted that God had sent me, and told me of a special case they wanted me to pray for. They said, “We have a brother here who believes in the Lord, and he is paralyzed from his loins downward. He cannot stand on his legs and he has been 20 years in this condition.” They took me to this man and as I saw him there in his chair I put the question to him, ‘’what is the greatest desire in your heart?” He said, “Oh, if I could only receive the Holy Ghost!” I was somewhat surprised at this answer, and I laid my hands on his head and said, “Receive ye the Holy Ghost.” Instantly the power of God fell upon him and he began breathing very heavily. He rolled off the chair and there he lay like a bag of potatoes, utterly helpless. I like anything that God does. I like to watch God working. There he was with his great, fat body, and his head was working just as though it was on a swivel. Then to our joy he began speaking in tongues. I had my eyes on every bit of him and as I saw the condition of his legs I said, “Those legs can never carry that body.” Then I looked up and said, “Lord, tell me what to do.”

The Holy Ghost is the executive of Jesus Christ and the Father. If you want to know the mind of God you must have the Holy Ghost to bring God’s latest thought to you and to tell you what to do. The Lord said to me, “Command him in My name to walk.” But I missed it, of course. I said to the people there, “Let’s see if we can lift him up.” But we could not lift him, he was like a ton weight. I cried, “Oh Lord, forgive me.” I repented of doing the wrong thing, and then the Lord said to me again, “Command him to walk.” I said to him, “Arise in the name of Jesus.” His legs were immediately strengthened. Did he walk? He ran all round. A month after this he walked ten miles and back. He has a Pentecostal work now. When the power of the Holy Ghost is present, things will happen. There is more for us all yet, praise the Lord. This is only the beginning. So far we have only touched the fringe of things. There is so much more for us if we will but yield to God. The time for GREATER WORK is approaching. We will command earthquake to stop. The ground will open, the collapsed buildings will reform, all the dead affected will live and be unhurt – this will be done by ordinary Christian brothers and sisters. I cant wait for that HOUR! (Jesus Wordz)

A LESSON ON CASTING OUT DEVILS

Jesus then told me he was going to show me how demons get hold of people, even believers, if they will let them. He showed me a man in a vision. I didn't recognize the man. I saw an evil spirit come and sit on his right shoulder.

(There's no significance to the right shoulder at all. If there had been, the Lord would have told me.) The evil spirit began to whisper in this man's ear, and the man began to entertain its thoughts. Then in the vision the man became as transparent as if he were made of glass. Something seemed to go into his head. It looked like a black dot and it was almost as large as a baseball. Jesus told me that this thing first came from the outside to attack the man, but because he had listened to it and had opened his mind to it, it had entered his thinking. He had become obsessed.

Then I saw this black dot go from the man's head down into his spirit. He told me that it now possessed him wholly. Then I saw a whole group of evil spirits come in. I saw the first spirit holding a door open, as it were, for all these other spirits who were swarming in. There were so many I couldn't count them all. They looked like big flies. The first one looked like a little monkey or elf.

Jesus talked to me about that. He reminded me of the Bible account in Matthew 12:24 which tells how Jesus was accused of casting out devils by Beelzebub, the lord of flies. He said these spirits were lower classes of spirits. The higher class demon got in there first and got control and then let the others in.

Remember the man whose house was swept clean but the evil spirit came back with seven others and they all entered into him (Matt. 12:44,45)? The one spirit knew how to get in, and he took the others with him. Jesus told me this man was possessed of the first spirit which went into him, and then he let the others in. All of them were in there, but only one fully possessed him. He then told me the madman of Gadara had a legion of demons. Jesus told me in the vision to walk up to the man I saw in the vision. I walked up to him, and the Lord told me that from that night on, when I was in the presence of one who was fully possessed, these spirits would recognize me. They would recognize that I had power over them.

He said when a person is fully demon possessed, the demon can use his voice and state that he knows who you are. The demons will know you as much as they knew who Jesus was. He said that through discerning of spirits, which is an inward revelation, I would know what kind of a spirit possesses a person. He told me that if the spirit did not come out when commanded to, I should ask what his name is and how many there are within. Some won't come out until you do this. Then Jesus showed me some things I hadn't understood before. He talked to me about the man who came out of the tombs at Gadara. (Mark 5). Jesus said if I had been there that day I would have heard, with my physical ears, this man talking. But it was really the demon who possessed the man doing the talking. (A person present wouldn't have heard all the demons speaking unless he had discerning of spirits.) This was what Jesus told me. He said because I had this gift, at times I would see and hear into the realm of spirits. That scares some people; I'd be lying if I said it weren't so.

Sometimes I've had spirits speak to me before I've ever said a word. I hear them. People can hear me telling them to leave, but no one else hears them talking. Sometimes they say to me very emphatically, "I don't intend to go." I say, "Yes you do, and out you go in the Name of Jesus." I've seen them go. People will be delivered. I've seen too much of it not to believe it, and I know it works. I don't just run and jump into something. I stop and think it over for a long time before I start using it. The Lord told me one time when He appeared to me in a vision that He would rather I be too slow than too fast. He said some people receive a little revelation, and they grab it and run. They usually end up with everything messed up. It's better to be careful.

I do not believe that God is going to take novices and new Christians who know little or nothing, equip them with these things, and send them out to turn the world upside down. That's out of line with His program. He plainly said, even concerning the office of a deacon, not to put in a novice. Someone who is new in the things of the Spirit might be lifted up in pride. I know ministers who have had gifts of the Spirit operating in their lives and today they are shipwrecked. They tried to build a ministry on spiritual gifts, but you cannot do that. You cannot put a spiritual gift above the Word of God.

Jesus did not tell the disciples to go into all the world and work spiritual gifts. He said for them to go preach the Gospel. We're supposed to preach first. I've been around Pentecostal people for years and I've learned many good things. I think they're the finest people in the world. They're my people. But we miss it sometimes. I've had people say they had a wonderful service and they didn't have any preaching. I like to see God move, but I like to see a little of the Word also. Preaching and teaching had first place in the ministry of Jesus. The Bible plainly says, "Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people" (Matt. 4:23).

Let's get it like it ought to be! Then we'll have the Word confirmed with signs following. We'll have it in right focus. So Jesus told me to walk up to this man. When I walked up to him, the man immediately spoke out loud and said, "I know you; I know who you are." Without thinking I told him to shut up in the Name of Jesus. He hushed. Then on the inside of me I knew what kind of spirit was talking to me. It was a deceiving spirit. I said, "You foul deceiving spirit, I command you to come out of the man in the Name of Jesus!" Nothing happened.

So then I asked the name and how many there were in there. (Deceiving isn't a name, it's just a kind.) He said there were 19 more in there besides him. That was all I needed to know. I then commanded him and all 19 to come out in the Name of Jesus. And they came out. I wanted to know where the spirits who were in this man went. You remember in Mark 5:13 the devils went into the swine and the swine went off the cliff. I asked Jesus where evil spirits go when they're cast out. (I'd heard preachers say they were going to cast them into the abyss or pit.) I asked Jesus if I should have done more than just cast these out — if I should have cast them into the pit, or into hell. He said that I couldn't. Jesus said with the lower class you could, but there wasn't too much accomplished by it.

He said you can't do that with the rulers of the darkness of this world. I asked Him for Scripture. He told me that if we could do this, He would have gotten rid of all of them when He was on earth. In the Scripture we find that evil spirits always would beg Jesus not to torment them: "And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time (Matt. 8:29).

Jesus said these spirits walk through dry places seeking rest (Matt. 12:43). In the vision I saw this main demon walking through a dry place. Jesus said they'll try to get back into the place they came out of if that person will let them. That's why it's so important, when dealing with demons in the lives of Christians, to take time to get the Word of God into people. If we don't, we'll do them a worse injustice than if we hadn't ministered to them at all. They might wind up eight times worse than what they were! I've seen that happen. (Kenneth Hagin)

A MEETING WITH LOT

“God’s judgments are the first step into the heavenly realm,” a voice said that I had not heard before. “When the Judgment Day comes, the King will be known to all, and His judgments will be understood. Then the earth will be set free. You asked for His judgments to come to your own life, now begin asking for them to come to the world.”

I turned to see who had spoken. He was of great stature and brilliance, but a little less than the others I had met in the Hall of Judgment. I assumed that he was an angel, but then he said: “I am Lot. You have been chosen to live in difficult times just as I was chosen. As Abraham lived and interceded for Sodom, you must do the same. During the times when great perversion is released upon the earth, men and women of great faith will also arise. Like Abraham, you must USE YOUR FAITH TO INTERCEDE FOR THE WICKED, and you must also witness the judgment of God coming upon the earth. The Lord cannot abide the increasing evil of mankind much longer. I was silent and many perished. You must not be like me—you must not be silent.”

“Tell me more. How do I warn them?” I asked.

“I thought that I would be a warning just by being different. Being different is not enough! The power of the Holy Spirit to convict of sin is released by the spoken word. What the Lord did to Sodom, He did as an example so that others would not have to be destroyed in this way. You can warn those who are headed for destruction by telling them my story. There are now many cities whose evil He will not abide much longer. If those who know the Lord do not arise, there will be many more like Sodom very soon.

“The Judgment Day is coming. All of creation will then know the wisdom of His judgments, but you must not wait for that day. You must seek His judgments every day, and you must make them known on the earth. If His people will walk in His judgments, many on the earth will know of them before the great Day of Judgment. By this many more will be saved. It is His desire that none should be lost, and that none of His people suffer loss on that day.

“The people of the earth are blind. They will not see if you simply try to be a witness. The message of judgment must go forth in words. The Holy Spirit anoints words, but the words must be spoken in order for Him to anoint them. “Righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. His people have come to know something of His righteousness, but few know His justice. His throne will abide in His house, therefore judgment must begin with His own house.

“You must live by the truth that you have learned here, and you must teach it. His judgments are coming. If His people will walk in His judgment before the Judgment Day, that day will be glorious for them. If they do not live by them, they, too, will know the sorrow that the world is about to know. His judgments would not be true if they were not the same for all. Through you and others, He will entreat His people again to judge themselves lest they be judged. Then you must entreat the world.”

Lot directed me to look at the door before which I was standing. It still seemed dark and uninviting, like the doctrines of God’s judgment, I thought. The glory of the Lord that surrounded us made it seem even more bleak. Even so, I now knew how glorious His judgment really is. I had also come to understand that almost every door through which He leads us looks bleak at first and then becomes glorious. It almost seems that the bleaker the door looks, the more glorious it will be on the other side. Just passing through His doors takes faith, but they always lead to more glory.

Lot continued with my train of thought. As I had already learned, in this place thoughts are broadcast to all.

“Through that door, you will experience more of His glory. His glory is not just the brilliance that you see around Him or in this place, nor is it merely the feelings that you have while abiding in Him. His glory is also revealed through His judgments. This is not the only way that it is revealed, but it is this way that you were called here to understand. Through that door, you will learn of another way to see His glory. It is by seeing His glory that His people will be changed, and He is about to show them His glory. When they see His glory, they will rejoice in all of His ways, even in His judgments.”

WE HAVE ABOUT 227YRS LEFT FOR THIS PLANET EARTH {BEFORE THE GREAT MILLENIAL REIGN -1000YRS} (I)

My Spirit will not always strive with man. During the last days an evil beast will arise out of the earth and deceive many from every nation upon the earth. He will demand that everyone receive his mark, the number 666, placed in their hands or on their foreheads. Anyone who takes the mark will belong to the beast and will be thrown with him into the lake of fire which burns with fire and brimstone.

The beast will arise to the acclamation of the world, for he will bring peace and prosperity such as none can remember. When he has gained world dominion, those without his mark in their foreheads or their hands will not be able to buy food, clothes, cars, houses or anything else that is bought. Neither will they be able to sell anything they own to anyone else unless they have the mark.

The Lord God expressly declares that those who take the mark have affirmed their allegiance to the beast and will be cut off from the Lord God forever. They will have their place with the unbelievers and workers of iniquity. The mark states simply that those who possess it have rejected God and have turned to the beast for sustenance. The beast and his followers will persecute those who refuse the mark and will kill many of them. Whatever pressures they can bring to bear will be used to force believers of the true God to be marked.

Children and infants will be killed before the eyes of the parents who refuse to take the mark. There will be a time of great mourning. "Those who possess the mark will be forced to turn over their possessions to the beast in exchange for a promise that the beast will meet all the needs of his followers. Some of you will weaken and surrender to the beast and receive his mark in your hand or forehead. You will say, 'God will forgive. God will understand.' But I will not repent of My Word. I have warned you repeatedly through the mouths of My prophets and ministers of the gospel. Repent now while it is still day, for the night comes when judgment will be set forever.

If you do not obey the beast and refuse to take his mark, I will take care of you. I do not say that many will not have to die for their faith in these times, for many will be beheaded for trusting the Lord God. But blessed are those who die in the Lord, for great will be their reward. "True, there will be a time of peace and prosperity during which the beast will gain popularity and esteem. He will make the problems of the world as though they were naught-but the peace will end in bloodshed and the prosperity in great famine across the land.

Fear not what man can do to you, but fear him who can cast your soul and body into hell. For though there is great persecution and though tribulations are multiplied, I will deliver you through them all. But before that evil day, I will raise up a mighty army that will worship Me in spirit and in truth. The army of the Lord will do great exploits and wonderful things for Me. Therefore, come together and worship Me in spirit and in truth. Bring in the fruits of righteousness, and give Me what is rightfully Mine, and I will keep you from the evil hour. Repent now and be saved from the terrible things which will befall the rebellious and the unsaved. "The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life. Call on Me while you may, and I will accept you and forgive you. I love you and do not desire that you should be lost. Choose you this day whom you will serve. (PROPHECY)

WE NOW HAVE TO LIVE THE CHRIST-LIFE BEFORE OUR KIDS, DEMONSTRATTING THE LOVE OF JESUS BEFORE THEM SO THAT THEY WILL PASS IT ON TO THEIR KIDS IN OTHER TO HAVE A RUGGED GENERATION WHO WILL RECEIVE THE MESSIAH’S SECOND COMING – A GENERATION WITHOUT SPOT (SIN) & WRINKLE (FLESH). JESUS IS COMING FOR A GLORIOUS CHURCH WITHOUT SPOT (SIN) & WRINKLES (FLESH, CARNALITY ETC). WE ARE NOT THERE YET. BUT BLESS GOD, WE ARE GETTING THERE. THERE'S GOING TO BE THE LAST REVIVAL WHICH WILL BE JEHOVAH'S LAST WARNING. MANY, I MEAN MANY WILL ACCEPT JESUS DURING THE REVIVAL. THE GLORY OF GOD WILL BE REVEALED MUSH. YET, MANY WILL STILL REMAIN ADAMANT - THEN, OUR HERO, OUR BLESSED JESUS WILL COME. GLORY TO GOD. TRAIN YOUR KIDS. PASS ON THE NATURE OF LOVE AND CHRIST TO THEM. TEACH THEM GOD'S WORD. PREPARE FOR HIS COMING. HE'S COMING WITH FIRE SOONEST TO BAPTIZE US WITH THE FIRE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. BE PREPARED FOR WHAT HE'S ABOUT TO DO. HE SAID HE WILL DO SOMETHING NEW. HE'S GOING TO SHOCK THE WHOLE WORLD, ESPECIALLY RELIGIOUS FOLKS. IT WILL BE AMAZING, THOSE HE WILL CHOSE. NOT THE KIND OF PEOPLE YOU EXPECTED, HE'S ALMIGHTY.

YOU CAN RELEASE THE ANOINTING IN YOU ON THINGS

A woman came to me in the city of Liverpool and said, "I would like you to help me. I wish you would join with me in prayer. My husband is a drunkard and every night comes into the home under the influence of drink. Won't you join me in prayer for him?" I said to the woman, "Have you a handkerchief?" She took out a handkerchief and I prayed over it and told her to lay it on the pillow of the drunken man. He came home that night and laid his head on the pillow in which this handkerchief was tucked.

He laid his head on more than the pillow that night. He laid his head on the promise of God. In Mark 11:24, we read, "What things soever ye desire when ye pray, believe that ye receive them and ye shall have them."

The next morning the man got up and called at the first saloon that he had to pass on his way to work and ordered some beer. He tasted it and said to the bartender, "You have put some poison in this beer." He could not drink it, and went on to the next saloon and ordered some more beer. He tasted it and said to the man behind the counter, "You put some poison in this beer, I believe you folks have agreed to poison me." The bartender was indignant at being thus charged. The man said, "I will go somewhere else."

He went to another saloon and the same thing happened as in the two previous saloons. He made such a fuss that they turned him out. After he came out from work he went to another saloon to get some beer, and again he thought he had been poisoned and he made so much disturbance that he was thrown out. He went to his home and told his wife what had happened and said, "It seems as though all the fellows have agreed to poison me." His wife said to him, "CAN'T YOU SEE THE HAND OF THE LORD IN THIS, THAT HE IS MAKING YOU DISLIKE THE STUFF THAT HAS BEEN YOUR RUIN?" This word brought conviction to the man's heart and he came to the meeting and got saved. The Lord still has power to set the captives free.


When I was in Australia a lady came to me who was much troubled about her son who was so lazy. I prayed over a handkerchief, which was placed on the boy's pillow. He slept that night on the handkerchief and the next morning he got up and went out and secured a position and went to work. Oh, praise the Lord, you can't shut God out, but if you will only believe He will shut the devil out. (Smith Wigglesworth)

YOU CAN CLAIM IMMUNITY IN THE NAME OF JESUS

In east Texas, a minister friend of mine and some friends of his were out fishing in one of the rivers, and a cottonmouth moccasin bit him. It frightened the other men because they were not saved. My friend shook it off in the Name of Jesus and went about his business. His friends watched him, and saw that it never had any evil effect on him. This is not extreme because it is Biblical.

The Bible says, "... if they drink any deadly thing [poison], it shall not hurt them..." (Mark 16:18). This means that if you accidentally take poison, you have the right to claim immunity in the Name of Jesus.

Some years ago, the superintendent of the Assemblies of God in the Texas district related this story to a group of ministers: Many years ago, the Texas district had a convention in Corpus Christi, Texas. The ministers did not have a great deal of money to stay in good hotels, so they were occupying about a third-rate hotel. The hotel didn't have running water, but there was a pitcher of water in the room. All the ministers had eaten their meals together in a cook tent. After they had finished eating, some of them began to get sick. Finally, about twenty or thirty of them became desperately ill, so they began praying for one another. As they prayed, someone had a revelation that the water in the hotel was poisoned, so they told the rest of the group not to drink it anymore. Everybody was healed. Then they took the remaining water to a nearby naval station and had it tested. The examining officers told them that there was enough poison in that water to kill a regiment of men.

Someone had tried to play a cruel joke on these ministers because everyone knew that this group believed in miracles and healing. None of the party had to have medical aid! They had a right to claim immunity in the Name of Jesus because they had accidentally been poisoned. This is not extreme teaching, because it is in the Word. The Bible says, "... they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover" (Mark 16:18). (Kenneth Hagin)

A DESTINY MADE IN HEAVEN

This particular event took place in February of 2001 and even though I had been to Heaven many times, this trip will always hold a special place in my heart. It shows the unfathomable mercy of God and how much He cares about us! I will start by explaining the circumstances surrounding this event. My Mother and I had just completed setting up and serving at a four day conference held at our church and we were very tired. The following day we received a call from the church asking for a favor from the pastor‟s wife. She wanted to know if we would clean a woman‟s house (named Esther) who had just hosted out-of-town relatives for several days for a funeral. My Mother received the call and even though we were exhausted, she said we would grant the request.

We had heard that a young person had recently been killed in a skiing accident, but knew nothing else. She did not attend our church, nor was the funeral held there. Apparently, this woman, Esther Zink, was related to that young person. I will now share what happened while cleaning Esther’s house.

We arrived around 2:00 p.m. and I started dusting. After being in the house for just a few minutes, the Holy Spirit started talking to me. This is what He said, “You know, her Great Grandfather met her at the gate when she arrived.” I asked him whom he was talking about and He said, “The young girl who just passed away, the granddaughter of Esther. I want you to tell her mother, Melodee, this message because she is grieving for her. Maurissa is now living with her Great Grandfather because, of course, she is too young to live on her own. He is showing her the time of her life and is taking her somewhere to have lots of fun.”

(A split second later I was in Heaven)
I heard this high, excited laugh, and then I saw her. She had shoulder -length, reddish-blonde hair and was grinning very big. I was not certain of her age, possibly the early teens. She was holding the hand of a young man with brown hair (even though he was her great grandfather, you do not remain old when you go to heaven). He appeared to be in his mid-twenties and quite pleased about their coming adventure. Maurissa, filled with joy, seemed barely able to control herself, knowing where he was taking her. She was also with another young person, a girl, several years older than she was and she had straight, long blonde hair. It was not revealed to me who this third person was, but Maurissa was very happy that she was with them. I saw all of them walking down a beautiful wide pathway. The flowers were breathtaking, every color you could imagine and every petal was perfect. I had never seen anything like them before.

Amazement rushed over me as I realized I was approaching an amusement park. There were very tall trees on both sides of the path and in the distance I could see a huge roller coaster. You could hear the people screaming with laughter as the cars on the roller coaster plummeted down what looked like a 100-foot drop.

(The Holy Spirit later told me the name of that particular roller coaster was “The Rush”). (Just as quickly as I was taken, I returned to earth) Still standing in front of the fireplace mantle, the Holy Spirit said, “Maurissa is a joy to be with. Everyone liked her and she was full of life and energy. She always had a positive attitude and was a blessing to her mother and her friends. They all miss her very much. Please tell her mother that she is now her greatest cheerleader and will cheer her on to the destiny I have planned for her”.

He then let me hear these words previously spoken by her mother, “I can’t believe she is gone. Her life is over and she never got to fulfill her destiny. What will I do without her? I want to know that she is okay. I want her to know I love her!”
Then the Lord said, “Your daughter chose to stay because she knew her greatest contribution would be in Heaven. Please tell everyone that I did not take your daughter, but I knew she would be here early and that her destiny would be made in Heaven. She is now a leader of the youth (age does not matter here, I judge by a person’s heart) and is in charge of organizing the youths‟ contribution to the celebration in the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. It is a high honor for her, but I know she will do a super job. She will not overlook a single detail and will include all the youth so everyone will have a good time and none will be left out. Your daughter has a very BIG heart. Why would I choose anyone else for this assignment? She has embraced the task and is going forward with it, and as usual, giving a 150 % of herself. She loves you dearly and knows that you feel the same about her; but she would ask that you release her now so that she can fulfill her destiny.

She said when she sees you again one day she will kiss you on both cheeks and tell you everything that has happened to her here and will make sure she leaves nothing out. She always enjoyed talking with you and being with her friends.
She was everyone’s friend and is the same way here. Your personality does not change when you come to Heaven; it just blossoms and becomes even more pronounced.

Maurissa dwells in My presence now and I will make sure she is taken care of and not left on her own. I can give you grace to help if you ask Me. I can heal the hurt, if you let Me. I will never take away her memory because she is too precious to you, but you can walk in My peace and I will release it to you right now. Trust Me. Seek Me, for I desire to draw closer to you and tell you of My love for you. Don‟t ever be afraid to say anything to Me; your words are important and I will always take time to hear you. You too have a destiny to complete and now you have a faithful cheerleader here to root you on to fulfill it. I will send other children to you that will desperately need to be loved.

Don’t refuse them, for your love will make a major difference in their lives and destinies. It may be the only Me they ever see. I love you, My daughter”.

After I experienced all of this, I called my mother from the other room and told her what had happened. I then called the church to let someone know what I had heard and they gave me the telephone number for Maurissa‟s mother, Melodee. I made arrangements to meet her and give her the message. After typing it all down, I drove to a local mall and met with her. While reading the message to her, she turned white and looked quite shocked. Following is what she shared with me when I finished giving her the message.

Laughing and crying at the same time she said, “There is no possible way you could have known. No way at all! I have never met you and you were not at the funeral service. When I asked her what she meant, she said, I know that everything you told me is true and I know you saw my daughter in Heaven. I know this, because the day I returned home from the ski resort I was looking through her room and I found something. It was a journal my daughter had kept back in 1995 (she was 13 years old at her death in 2001). As I sat reading, God led me to a journal entry dated October 3, 1995, where she had written about a dream she had had the night before. It said she dreamed she died early and went to Heaven early and that she met her great grandfather, and went on a roller coaster ride.”

After telling me this, she continued to tell me about her daughter Maurissa. She was exactly as l described her —slim, strawberry blonde hair and that she had actually been a cheerleader at her school. She also told me that Maurissa was very popular and had always desired to be a youth leader when she grew up. She had impacted so many lives that they bused students from two different schools to her funeral. Hundreds came and many made decisions for Christ.

Maurissa was a very special young lady! I continued to talk with Melodee and shared some of the other things I knew about heaven. Then I prayed for her and went back home. I was very blessed to know God had used me to help Melodee through a very difficult time. (Kathy Kerr)

YOU DON’T DO SOMETHING BECAUSE SOMEONE ELSE IS DOING IT. FIND OUT WHAT GOD WANTS YOU TO DO.

Years ago at a Voice of Healing Convention, I heard a pastor say something that caught my attention. He was a good pastor and had established a good work. But it was in the days of revival—especially tent revivals. Healing evangelists were everywhere, and tents were everywhere.

This pastor said, "If Roberts [speaking of Oral Roberts] can do it, I can do it." Was that God's plan and purpose for him? Or was it his human ego speaking? As a young man just in my thirties, I made a mental note of it and watched him to see what would happen. He left his church and got a tent. And he did it. For a little while he did it almost as well as Brother Roberts. He had a 5,000-seat tent and finally got up to a 10,000-seat tent. But then he went down, down, down.

During this same time, I was also in "The Voice of Healing," but God said to me, "You stay in the churches." And I stayed in them from 1949 until 1962, until God gave me a different plan. I traveled from church to church, preaching constantly. I was in meetings ninety-five percent of the time. And in practically every meeting—I don't mean it happened occasionally; I don't mean it happened once in a great while; I mean in almost every meeting—someone would stand up and prophesy that I was to get a tent.

"I've got a word for you. God wants you to get a tent."

God no more wanted me to get a tent than He wanted me to fly to Mars. And I didn't get one. Why did they do that? They did it because everyone else was getting a tent. I watched many other ministers get a tent because people prophesied that they should. The tent, the minister, and the ministry folded up.
YOU DON'T DO SOMETHING BECAUSE SOMEONE ELSE IS DOING IT. FIND OUT WHAT GOD WANTS YOU TO DO. Why am I saying all these things? Why did the Lord Jesus visit me when He did and speak to me about plans, purposes, and pursuits? It's because He wants to move again in this day with supernatural manifestations! The move of God does not just belong to the revivals of the past! You see, there was a great revival and outpouring of the Holy Spirit that started in 1906 in the old Azusa Street Mission in Los Angeles. By 1907 that wave of revival began to spread nationally and internationally. Then in 1947, forty years later, the wave of the Healing Revival started. You talk about healing! I got in on it, and to tell you the truth about it, it was the easiest thing in the world to get people healed. I have never seen anything like what we had then; it was easy to get people healed!

A lady evangelist (really, she was more of an exhorter) once told me the same thing. She said, "My husband and I were in the ministry. He would play the piano and we would both sing, but I was the main preacher. We had been in the ministry for more than thirty years, but we had never laid hands on anyone in all that time. We would just hold meetings, get people saved and filled with the Holy Spirit, and exhort them a little. But when this wave of healing came along and everyone was laying hands on folks for healing, we decided we would try it too.

"The first person I laid hands on," she said, "was totally blind and was instantly healed! Dear Lord, it almost scared me to death! It was the easiest thing in the world to get folks healed. It was just like healing was 'in the air.' We had some of the most miraculous things happen you ever saw in your life!"

A healing wave like this is coming to the Body of Christ again. There will be miraculous healings like this in this next move of God! We need to know the wave is coming, and we need to know how to prepare ourselves to be effective in it. That is the reason I have recorded what Jesus said to me in the visitation of 1987. He said that the Body of Christ is to get His plan, His purposes, and pursue that! (Kenneth Hagin)

RIGHT PURPOSE VS WRONG MOTIVE

Did you know you can have the right purpose with the wrong motive and never succeed? Let me illustrate what I mean. In 1947 there came a healing revival here in America which lasted through 1958. Several years before it came, God stirred me up to pray. I didn't know anybody else was praying; however, I am sure they were for this is God's way. God's plans are prayed through first. I was seeking God because the only manifestation of the Spirit we had in our services was tongues and interpretation.

I said, "Lord, here in First Corinthians chapter 12, are all these other manifestations of the Spirit. But about all we ever see manifested are tongues and interpretation." Thank God for tongues and interpretation, but let's not stop there. That is not all of it. I said, "Your Word reveals three power gifts: special faith, working of miracles, and gifts of healings. These should be in manifestation among us." I prayed almost every night about this matter. Sometimes at three or four o'clock in the morning, I'd get up and pray an hour or so. In the winter, I'd go into the living room to pray by the heater. It was too cold to kneel on the bare floor in the bedroom because there was no heat in that room.

On three occasions, I woke up kneeling by the couch in the living room, and I didn't remember going in there. I said to myself, How did I get here? I must have come in here in my sleep. I prayed about nothing other than the manifestation of the power gifts among us. I did not pray that God would use me, because I really preferred that God would use anyone else except me.

Many prayers for the supernatural workings of God are not answered because men's purposes are wrong. Oftentimes men have in mind, God use me. I did not pray that He would use me. I couldn't have cared less whether He used me or not. I wanted people to be blessed and helped, for the Church to be enhanced, and for the glory to be given to God.

At that time, I prayed that these things would come into manifestation as they are revealed in God's Word. I knew they belonged to us. I prayed that we would have a prolific manifestation of these power gifts, and I just persisted in my praying.

One day, I went to my little study in the church to prepare the Sunday sermon. But I was so burdened to pray that I got out of my chair and started praying. I prayed approximately five hours in other tongues. It was the longest I'd ever prayed in tongues at one time. I'd get up only to go next door to the parsonage for a drink of water, or to move around a little because I was on my knees all the time. But I counted only the time when I was actually in prayer.

I said, "Lord, I've been praying about the manifestation of Your Spirit, but I don't know what to pray for as I ought. So I'm praying in tongues, in the Holy Spirit, depending upon You to help me pray this thing through." God wanted to manifest Himself, and I knew how to pray in a measure. But I still didn't know how to pray as I should. Today, we don't know exactly how to pray either. There's a move of God upon us. God is wanting to manifest Himself through signs and wonders to the world. We know to pray, and yet we don't know how to pray as we ought (Rom. 8:26). So we must rely on the Holy Ghost.

After approximately five hours into my prayer, I hit a "gusher." Glory to God! The Holy Ghost gave me a word of wisdom. Some people say, "I don't ever get anything."I know. You never stay long enough in the Presence of God to get anything. By the time it comes, you're gone. When this word of wisdom came, I grabbed my pad and pencil and wrote it down: February 1943. I still have the original note. Here is what it said: AT THE CLOSE OF WORLD WAR II, THERE WILL COME A REVIVAL OF DIVINE HEALING TO AMERICA.

God's plan was revealed four years before it came! The next year, I preached that at a young people's rally in Longview, Texas. I gave the date and told them what God said would happen. When I made this public announcement of God's plan, the power of God fell on the crowd. Every preacher ran to the altar. Every person present—both young and old—hit their knees praying. The glory fell on us.

It happened just as God had said: In 1947 the healing revival started. Eventually, there were 120 ministers in what we called "The Voice of Healing." Every healing evangelist in America of any stature except Brother Oral Roberts was in it. The Voice of Healing magazine edited by Gordon Lindsay reported the revival, and we used this magazine as a medium of advertisement.

Now here is the point I want to get to, and Jesus talked to me about it in the recent visitation. I had to lay a foundation, however, for you to see it. You see, you can get God's plan, but your purpose can be wrong in carrying out His plan.

There was an outstanding healing evangelist in "The Voice of Healing." He was a man called of God and anointed by the Spirit. He had God's plan for the hour and God's plan for his life. He was equipped with supernatural equipment to fulfill the ministry God had given him. As the Spirit willed, the Holy Ghost manifested Himself through this man in some of the most miraculous things I've ever seen.

I saw blind eyes instantly opened through his ministry. I saw a person—the only one I've ever seen with this disease—whose body had begun to petrify. This dear one was carried into a meeting lying like stone on a stretcher, but was instantly delivered and arose and walked. It was a marvelous sight to behold.

Once my wife and I were traveling and we stopped by to visit one of his meetings. A state home for the deaf was nearby, and they had brought in five men who could neither hear nor speak. Each one, right down the line—one, two, three, four, five—was instantly healed before everyone's eyes. The minister immediately got up and started receiving an OFFERING and the anointing left. His purpose was wrong. You can't use God's plan to raise MONEY.

The Lord said to me about that same minister, "You go tell him he is not going to live much longer unless he judges himself." The Lord told me to tell him he must judge himself in three areas. One of those areas was about MONEY. I did not go to this minister, and God dealt with me about that. But this minister never judged himself and within three years, he was dead at a young age. Your purpose has to be God's purpose.

I trust you get the message of Jesus' appearance to me. A mighty move of God's Spirit is coming and we must keep our purposes right. We must pursue God's plan—not man's—with God's purpose.

You cannot use the things of God to raise MONEY. You can only tell people what God has told you and give them an opportunity to be in on it so that fruit may abound to their account (Phil. 4:17). I tell people, "God said to start RHEMA Bible Training Center." But I put no emphasis on MONEY. I tell people what we're doing AND GIVE THEM AN OPPORTUNITY TO HELP IF THEY WANT TO AND IF THEY CAN. You have to be very careful in this area.

Jesus once said to me, "MANY UPON WHOM I HAVE PLACED MY SPIRIT AND HAVE CALLED TO THE MINISTRY HAVE BECOME MONEY-MINDED AND HAVE LOST THE ANOINTING."

Ohhh! I don't want to lose the anointing—not for a second, not for a minute. Every minister, every preacher, every singer, and every person called of God must be careful along these lines. We cannot take God's plan and pursue a different purpose. We have to pursue both His plan and His purpose. Not only do we need to be careful about our motives concerning MONEY, but we must beware of human ego. (Kennth Hagin)

I remember one particular Mother's Day when I was pastoring the church in Farmersville, Texas. I had worked hard on a Mother's Day sermon that year. I mean I worked on it for days. I had quotes of great and famous men of old—I quoted Benjamin Franklin and Abraham Lincoln and men like that. I had all my notes and I worked hard on them. When I was finally finished, I knew that sermon was a good one!

There were four other churches a few miles away that were putting together a special afternoon meeting on Mother's Day. They wanted me to come and preach. Because of that, I missed my morning service, so I told my congregation we'd have our Mother's Day service on Sunday night instead of on Sunday morning.
When I preached that sermon in the afternoon for these other chinches, I knew it was good because everyone just bragged on it! So I thought, I'm going to preach that Sunday night in my church.

I planned my evening service so that everything was about "Mother." There were special songs all about Mother. There was a ladies trio singing about Mother. However, the whole time that the ladies trio was singing, I didn't hear one word they sang because the Lord was dealing with me. There was an argument going on between my heart and my head.

The Lord said to me, "Have a healing service right now. Just as soon as they finish that song, get up and announce a healing service."
"Why, Lord," I said, "You're going to ruin my good sermon. Lord, I worked on this thing for days and weeks. I can't preach a Mother's Day sermon next Sunday—it won't be Mother's Day. The people would think I was crazy! I'll have to wait a whole year before I can preach my sermon." My sermon!

The Lord said again to me, "Pray for the sick just as soon as the singers finish singing."

I said again, "Lord, the people will think I'm crazy." I looked over the crowd. In the Mother's Day program, we were going to have some of the younger children come to the platform to do some recitations, and their fathers had come to see their children perform. I knew some of those men wouldn't be back in church again until the Christmas program!

So I said to the Lord, "Lord, those men will think I'm crazy. I mean, we have everything planned to focus on 'Mother.' I've got this Mother's Day sermon, and it's a good one too. It's all about 'Mother' in the Bible. This crowd will think I'm crazy getting up here announcing a healing meeting and praying for the sick. Nothing is going in that direction, Lord! Everything is directed toward 'Mother.'"

The Lord said again, "Pray for the sick. Minister to the sick." After that ladies trio finished their song, I got up and opened my Bible. I even began reading my text on "Mother." Finally, I just closed my Bible and said, "I'm going to obey God. God said, 'Minister to the sick.'"

I remember in that service there was one fellow who would frequently come by our parsonage. Actually, he would cut through the yard between our parsonage and the church to go to a store up the street.

I don't know what had happened to him, but somehow he had injured his back in such a way that he walked stooped over. He couldn't straighten up and walk normally. When I announced the healing service, he came forward for prayer. I laid hands on him and the power of God hit him and instantly straightened his back and he stood up straight! He was an older man, but after God healed him he could twist around, bend over, and even touch the floor. He went through all kinds of gymnastics right in front of everyone. In that service, a little baby was also miraculously healed. I looked back in the congregation to the men I thought would think I was crazy for having a healing meeting, and they were all crying. They were wiping tears from their eyes!

You see, when we pursue God's purpose rather than our own, the Holy Spirit is free to move in our midst. He can accomplish more in five minutes than we could accomplish in five years! (Kenneth Hagin)

A BRIEF INTERVIEW WITH ONE FAMOUS WRITER

…I saw a man who I considered one of the greatest writers of all time. I had considered his depth of insight into the truth to be possibly the greatest that I had encountered in all of my studies.

"Sir, I have always looked forward to this meeting," I almost blurted out.

"As have I," he replied with genuine sincerity.

"I feel that I know you, and in your writings I almost felt like you somehow knew me. I think that I owe more to you than to anyone else who was not canonized in Scripture," I continued.

"You are very gracious," he replied. "But I am sorry that I did not serve you better. I was a shallow person, and my writings were shallow, and filled with more worldly wisdom than divine truth."

"Since I have been here, and learned all that I have learned, I know that this must be true, but I still think they are some of the best that we have on earth," I answered.

"You are right," this famous writer admitted, with sincerity. "It is so sad. Everyone here, even those who sit closest to the King, would live their lives differently if they had them to live over, but I think that I would live mine even more differently than most. I was honored by kings, but failed the King of kings. I used the great gifts and insights that were given me to draw men more to myself and my wisdom than to Him. Besides, I only knew Him by the hearing of the ear, which is the way I compelled other men to know Him. I made them dependent on me, and others like me. I turned them more to deductive reasoning than to the Holy Spirit, Who I hardly knew. I did not point men to Jesus, but to myself and others like me who pretended to know Him. When I beheld Him here, I wanted to ground my writings into powder, just as Moses did to the golden calf. My mind was my idol, and I wanted everyone to worship my mind with me. Your esteem for me does not cause me to rejoice. IF I HAD SPENT AS MUCH TIME SEEKING TO KNOW HIM AS I DID SEEKING TO KNOW ABOUT HIM IN ORDER TO IMPRESS OTHERS WITH MY KNOWLEDGE, MANY OF THOSE WHO ARE IN THIS LOWEST OF COMPANIES WOULD BE SITTING IN THE THRONE THAT WAS PREPARED FOR THEM, AND MANY OTHERS WOULD BE IN THIS ROOM."

"I know by being here that your appraisal of your work is true, but are you not being a little too hard on yourself?" I questioned. "Your works (on earth) fed me spiritually for many years, as I know they have multitudes of others."

"I am not being too hard on myself. All that I have said is true as it was confirmed when I stood before the throne. I produced a lot, but I was given more talents than almost anyone here, and I buried them beneath my own spiritual pride and ambitions. Just as Adam could have carried the whole human race into a most glorious future, but by his failure led billions of souls into the worst of tragedies, with authority comes responsibility. The more authority you are given, the more potential for both good and evil you will have. Those who will rule with Him for the ages will know responsibility of the most profound kind. No man stands alone, and every human failure, or victory, resonates far beyond our comprehension, even to generations to come. The many thousands who I could have led properly would have resulted in many more millions here. Anyone who understands the true nature of authority would never seek it, but only accept it when they know they are yoked with the Lord, the only One who can carry authority without stumbling. Never seek influence for yourself, but only seek the Lord and be willing to take His yoke. My influence did not feed your heart, but rather your pride in knowledge."

"How can I know that I am not doing the same?" I asked as I began to think of my own writings.

"Study to show yourself approved unto God, not men," he replied as he walked back into the ranks. Before he disappeared he turned and with the slightest smile, offered one last bit of advice: "AND DO NOT FOLLOW ME." (Rick Joyner)

HAVE YOU EVER MET A WOMAN OF REAL PRAYER?

At one time I was so bound that no human power could help me. My wife was looking for me to pass away. There was no help. At that time I had just had a faint glimpse of Jesus as the Healer. For six months I had been suffering from appendicitis, occasionally getting temporary relief. I went to the mission of which I was pastor, but I was brought to the floor in awful agony, and they brought me home to my bed. All night I was praying, pleading for deliverance, but none came. My wife was sure it was my home call and sent for a physician. He said that there was no possible chance for me -- my body was too weak. Having had the appendicitis for six months, my whole system was drained, and, because of that, he thought that it was too late for an operation.

He left my wife in a state of broken-heartedness. After he left, there came to our door a young man and an old lady. I knew that she was a woman of real prayer. They came upstairs to my room. This young man jumped on the bed and commanded the evil spirit to come out of me. He shouted, "Come out, you devil; I command you to come out in the name of Jesus!" There was no chance for an argument, or for me to tell him that I would never believe that there was a devil inside of me. The thing had to go in the name of Jesus, and it went, and I was instantly healed.

I arose and dressed and went downstairs. I was still in the plumbing business, and I asked my wife, "Is there any work in? I am all right now, and I am going to work." I found there was a certain job to be done and I picked up my tools and went off to do it. Just after I left, the doctor came in, put his plug hat down in the hall, and walked up to the bedroom. But the invalid was not there.

"Where is Mr. Wigglesworth? he asked. "O, doctor, he's gone out to work," said my wife. "You'll never see him alive again," said the doctor; "they'll bring him back a corpse."

Well, I'm the corpse. Since that time, in many parts of the world, the Lord has given me the privilege of praying for people with appendicitis; and I have seen a great many people up and dressed within a quarter of an hour from the time I prayed for them. We have a living Christ who is willing to meet people on every line. (Smith Wigglesworth)

THE SECRET OF SUCCESS (I) By Kenneth Hagin

A few years ago, I attended what was called an "Idea Exchange." Ministers from various churches and denominations across the country were invited to that meeting. At that meeting, some of those ministers asked me, "Brother Hagin, what is the secret of your success?" One minister said, "When I first knew you, nobody had ever heard of you. You were preaching in small churches and, once in a while, in a large church. But then, all of a sudden, you became not only a national figure, but in just a matter of a few years—an international figure. Now how did that all come about? What is the secret of your success?"

I answered, "The only secret of success I know is WALKING IN LINE WITH THE WORD OF GOD, and PRAYING AND LISTENING TO THE HOLY SPIRIT. I simply listen to what the Spirit of God says to do, and then do it." Actually, everything I'm doing today is the result of believing the Word, praying in other tongues, and being obedient to what God told me to do. Thank God for the value of praying in other tongues. Sometimes I interpreted my own prayers. In fact, that is how I first started interpreting—by interpreting my own prayers.

To tell you the real truth about the matter, praying in other tongues was instrumental even in showing me about my marriage and my children. I pastored a pentecostal church in Tom Bean, Texas, in 1938 where I met my lovely wife. I was a 21-year-old pastor and I needed a helpmeet.
I was praying up in a barn loft that belonged to one of my deacons. I had been going with Oretha for a while at that point. I began praying in other tongues about my future, and I prayed this all out in other tongues. Then I prayed the interpretation out: I saw in the Spirit that I would marry her and that we'd have two children, and that's what happened! I got that in prayer. I didn't get that because I was standing in the office of the prophet, because I wasn't at that time.

When you get down on your knees and find out for yourself what His plans are—because He will put His approval and His blessings on His plans—it works so much better. It will almost work like clockwork. I remember how God dealt with me before the beginning of what has come to be called the Charismatic Movement.

In December 1962, I was preaching in a Full Gospel church in Houston. Suddenly, I felt a wind blowing upon me. It came with such force that it knocked me flat on the floor and I fell into a trance. (In Acts 10:9,10, the Bible says that Peter went up on the housetop to pray and fell into a trance.) All my physical senses were suspended. I saw a beautiful flower garden surrounded with a white picket fence. In the middle of it was a pavilion or arbor. The garden was full of the most beautiful flowers of every kind. The arbor itself was made up of climbing flower plants. Each flower was in full bloom and was giving off a wonderful aroma. The perfume was visible as it rose into the air. I came up from the east to the gate of the fence. Jesus was standing just inside. When I got there, He unlatched the gate, and pushed it open. He reached out His hand, took my right hand, led me inside, and shut the gate. Then He took my right hand in both of His hands, and led me down the path to the arbor.

Two white marble benches were on either side of the arbor. He sat on the bench to the south and without saying a word, pulled me down beside Him. I looked around. From the west, I saw a river flowing into the garden. It was broad at its beginnings back up in the sky and it narrowed as it flowed into this little garden. As I looked, the river changed. It became people—people of every nationality, people of every dress and station of life. They were flowing into the garden. I said, "Lord, who are these people? What does all this mean?"
Jesus said to me, "These are people from what you call 'denominational' churches and even from other religions of the world. In this day, I am visiting hungry hearts everywhere. I will visit places you never would have thought I would visit—not only what you call 'denominational' churches, but I will visit other religions where hearts are hungry and open to Me. These are people who will come into the light of the new birth and the fullness of being filled with the Holy Spirit. They will flow as one. The aroma that goes up is the praise of these people ascending into heaven, even as the incense of old ascended unto Me.

"You must play a part in this," Jesus said. "I want you to minister to the whole Body." Jesus kept saying that: "I want you to minister to the whole Body," while I watched the following scene run off before me like you'd watch something on television. I saw myself ministering in Baptist churches. I saw myself ministering in Presbyterian churches, in Methodist churches, in Disciples of Christ churches, and even in Roman Catholic churches—and I've done it! I saw people falling under the power and lying all around the front of Methodist, Baptist, Presbyterian, Catholic, and other denominational churches—and it has come to pass! That might not seem so amazing to you now, but it was shocking to Full Gospel circles in those days. I was a Pentecostal preacher who preached strictly in Pentecostal churches……………

BE MINDFUL THAT ONE DAY, YOU’LL STAND BEFORE THE MONARCH OF THE UNIVERSE

My escort told me to stand to one side of the Gates and present my case. He assured me that God would hear and answer my request. As I stood before the Gates, the sense of joy, happiness, and contentment radiated out from Heaven. I could feel the warmth it produced and as I stood there to plead my case. I could feel the awesome power of God. No being could possibly appear before Him, even separated by a gate as I was, without experiencing this awesome power, might and majesty. At first I had a sense of fear, sort of guilty feeling that is always produced in me when I believe I have imposed on others. In my mind’s eye I could just visualize a busy God who was annoyed with me for taking Him away from important things. Then, just as suddenly as this feeling came, it passed. I then found strength or boldness in my belief that I had served my God faithfully for many years. To me, I was convinced that this request of mine would be a snap!

Boldly I came before the throne and started out by reminding God what a great life of love, worship, and sacrifice I had lived for Him. I told Him of all the works I had done reminding Him that I was now in trouble and only He could help by granting me an extension on my physical life.

God was totally silent while I spoke. When I had completed my request, I heard the real, audible voice of God as He answered me. The voice I heard was not like the sweet voice that satan had used to trick me before in the valley. You could put together the noise of all the storms, volcanoes, tornadoes, and hurricanes and they could in no way imitate what I heard. The sound of His voice was in no way like the sweet voice I talked about earlier. The sound of His voice came down on me from over the Gates even before the words hit me. The tone of His anger knocked me on my face as God proceeded to tell me just what kind of life I had really lived. He told me what He really thought of me and even other people who lived as I did. He pointed out that my faith was DEAD, that my works were NOT ACCEPTABLE, and that I had labored in VAIN. He told me that it was an abomination for me to live such a life and then dare call it a life of worship. Furthermore, He said to those who do it, they are in danger of experiencing His everlasting wrath. As God dealt with me, He displayed His wrath to me. Notice, it was not His everlasting wrath. He did say there are some who will experience His everlasting wrath.

I could not believe He was talking to me in this manner! I had served Him for years! I thought I had lived a life pleasing to Him! As He was enumerating my wrongs, I was sure He had me confused with someone else. There was no strength left in me to even move, let alone protest, yet I was panicking within myself. No way He could be talking about me! All of these years I thought I was doing those works for God! Now He was telling me that what I did, I did for myself. Even as I preached and testified about the saving grace of Jesus Christ, I was doing that only for myself in order that my conscience might be soothed. In essence, my first love and first works were for myself. After MY needs and wants were met or satisfied, in order to soothe my conscience I would set out to do the Lord’s work. This made my priorities out of order and unacceptable.

Actually, I had become my own false God. He makes it plain in His teachings that He is a jealous God and will have no other gods before Him; flesh, stone, blood, or whatever. He will have no other gods before Him. God told me that He did not accept this kind of worship in the day of the Pharisees and He certainly was not about to accept it now in this the Laodicean Church Age. He put it to me as plain as words and actions could make it. In order for our works to be acceptable, we must work according to His command in Matthew 6:33 which empathically states, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these other things shall be added to you.” As God told me about my true motives, the verse of scripture in Matthew 16:24-26 and Luke 14:26-33 became so clear to me. In Matthew 16 it states, “Then said Jesus unto His disciples, If any man will come after me, let him DENY himself and take up his cross, and follow me, for whosoever shall save his life shall lose it; and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.” In Luke 14 beginning with verse 26 it is stated, “If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and HIS OWN life also, he cannot be my disciple. And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple. For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?” In verse 23 of this same chapter Jesus makes the following statement which is the cornerstone of the two portions of scripture previously stated: “So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not ALL that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.”

Only now as I was here before Him being chastised did those two portions of scripture become crystal clear to me as to their true meaning. As God told me about my TRUE MOTIVES, I could see plainly for the first time how MY WORKS were DEAD. Because God was displaying His wrath toward me, I could not stand nor could I speak. No strength was left within me as I was nothing more than a wet rag lying there writhing in agony. It indeed, was fortunate for me that this was not God’s everlasting wrath, only temporary wrath. However, at this time I did not know this was only temporary.

It needs to be stated that at no time while God was chastising me did He say I was not saved nor did He say that my name was not in the Lamb’s Book of Life. He never mentioned salvation to me at all but only spoke about the works produced through my life. He told me the type of life I lived was an unacceptable life for a true Christian. As He spoke to me of my dead works, he indicated that there are some people who are not saved but think they are. These people will experience His everlasting wrath. He also made it plain to me that there are others of His children who will find themselves in my present condition on Judgment Day. This revealed to me the true meaning of 1 Corinthians 3:15 which states, “If any man’s works shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.” There are no words that can describe the pain I endured as God’s wrath was upon me for this life of so–called service. The agony was beyond the scope of the imagination and the remorse that I felt produced a very heavy burden similar to a physical weight pinning me down or an enormous stone crushing me. Growing weaker and weaker, my mind was frantically racing in an effort to grasp what the Lord was telling me while recalling each actual incident. God leaves no room for error and that includes whatever is in our minds.

The surprise was so overwhelming in its magnitude that it rendered me senseless. My strength left me immediately, just as though I had been hit by a bolt of lightning. Even if God would have ceased and allowed me to speak on word of protest, I would not have been able to do so. I had absolutely no strength whatsoever to utter anything. In my mind I was constantly DENYING the wrong in my life while acknowledging the fact that I had committed them. My conscience was asleep but my mind was NOT.

Slowly, it all began to be absorbed by me. Remember how the Bible tells us to have no other gods before us? I had thought that the Most High God was the only God of my life, but I was not fulfilling that part of scripture which tells us that if we allow anything to come between us and the Lord, (whatever it may be) it becomes our “God.” I realized that each day of my life was devoted only to MYSELF! My whole life was preoccupied with MY needs FIRST and THEN I was concerned with what the Lord wanted. The money to help the church, the poor, or anything else was secondary because I was my OWN “god.” Naturally, the devil was contented with allowing me to remain in that condition because as long as I was in that condition, I was of no use to the Lord and His kingdom.

I allowed this to occur because I was really indifferent to the things of the Lord. It was too uncomfortable to change and I was convinced I could remain as I was without having to really DO anything (such as following the Lord’s commandment about DENYING myself and picking up my cross daily to follow HIM.) For this reason, my life was wasted and amounted to absolutely nothing in the Lord’s eyes. I hope that you understand what it is that I am saying because it is the whole point of this chapter. The fact is we must prove we are really Christians by first examining our motives behind each deed in our lives, and then repenting and recommitting ourselves to follow the Lord daily. When we decide to serve Him FIRST, this decision must be followed by ACTION or it will be as useless as if we did not decide to do so in the first place.(Pittman Howard)

4-SIMPLE PRINCIPLES ANYBODY CAN APPLY TO ALWAYS RECEIVE FROM GOD (REVELATION)

One night as some friends were preparing to serve refreshments after a service in Phoenix, Arizona, I had an unusually strong urge from the Holy Spirit to pray. "I have to pray. I must pray. I have got to pray now," I told my friends. "Let's just all pray, then," they agreed. My knees had hardly touched the floor until I was in the Spirit. Do you know what it means to be in the Spirit? You become more conscious of spiritual things than you are of your natural surroundings. John was in the Spirit on the Lord's Day (Rev. 1:10). At that moment I didn't know I was in Phoenix, or even in that room. It seemed as if I knelt in a white cloud. For 45 minutes I prayed in tongues, with groanings, as hard and fast as I could. I knew that I was interceding for someone who was lost. At the end of that time of intercession, I had a note of victory.

Then I had a vision. The Lord showed me a detailed vision of a 72-year-old man who was going to be saved in the coming Sunday night service. Then the Lord Jesus Himself appeared to me. I saw Him as clearly as I would see you. He stood within three feet of me. He discussed things concerning my ministry and finances, and He even discussed things concerning our United States government. All of these things came to pass just as He said they would. He concluded by exhorting me, "Be faithful and fulfill thy ministry, my son, for the time is short." This vision took place in December 1953.

Jesus turned around to walk away, and I said, "Dear Lord Jesus, before You go, may I please ask You a question?" He retraced His steps, stood close to where I was kneeling, and said, "You may." I said, "Dear Lord, I have two sermons I preach concerning the woman who touched Your clothes and was healed when You were on earth. I received both of these sermons by inspiration. I preach them everywhere I go. And every time I preach them, I seem to be conscious in my spirit that the Holy Spirit is trying to get another sermon from this fifth chapter of Mark to me—a sermon that would complement the first two.
"Then, at times of prayer when I have a great anointing," I said, "I will come to the place where it seems I am going to receive that message into my spirit, but somehow or other, I fail to. If I am right about this, I wish You would give me that sermon."

He said, "You are correct. My Spirit, the Holy Spirit, has endeavored to get another sermon into your spirit, but you have failed to pick it up. While I am here, I will do what you ask. I will give you that sermon outline. Now get your pencil and paper and write it down." I opened my eyes to ask for paper and pencil. I didn't see Jesus any longer; I saw the people who were praying with me. When I closed my eyes, there Jesus stood as before. This was a spiritual vision. There are three types of visions: (1) a SPIRITUAL VISION, when you see with the eyes of your spirit; (2) a TRANCE, when your physical senses are suspended, and you do not know at that moment that you have a body; and (3) what I call an OPEN VISION, the highest type of vision, when your physical senses are all intact. You are not in a trance. Your eyes are wide open, yet you see into the spirit realm.

I am not smart enough to have figured all of this out. One time when Jesus appeared to me in a vision, He told me there are three kinds of visions. He explained them to me and proved them with Scriptures. But you do not have to accept this just because I said so. Do not accept anything anyone tells you just because they had a vision if it cannot be proved by the Word of God.

If Jesus tells you anything—if the Spirit of God brings any revelation to you—it must be in line with the Bible, or it is not from the Spirit of God. Jesus said, "Write down: 1,2,3,4." With my eyes shut, I wrote down 1,2,3,4. I knew the sermon had four points. He said, "If anybody, anywhere, will take these four steps or put these four principles into operation, he will always receive whatever he wants from Me or from God the Father."

Jesus said, "Step 1: SAY IT."
Jesus asked me this question: "What was the first step the woman with the issue of blood took toward receiving her healing?" (Mark 5:27). She knew about Jesus. She knew He was healing people. The 28th verse tells us, "For SHE SAID, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole." That is the first thing she did: She said.

In my vision, Jesus said, "Positive or negative, it is up to the individual. According to what the individual says, that shall he receive." He said, "This woman could have made a negative confession instead of a positive one, and that would have been what she received. She could have said, 'There's no use for me to go. I've suffered so long. Twelve years I've been sick. All the best doctors have given up on my case. I've spent all of my living upon physicians. I'm not better, but growing worse. I have nothing to live for. I might as well die.'" He said, "If that had been what she said, that would have been what she received. But she did not speak negatively. She spoke positively. For she said, 'If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.' "

Step 2: DO IT.
Jesus dictated to me during my vision, "Your action defeats you or puts you over. According to your action, you receive or you are kept from receiving."

Step 3: RECEIVE IT.
Say it. Do it. Receive it.
Jesus said to me, "Power is always present everywhere."
Step 4: TELL IT.
Jesus said to me, "Tell it so others may believe." In the vision, I said, "Lord, I can see that. I can see if anybody would take these four steps, they would receive healing just like that woman did. "But now You said if anybody anywhere would take those four steps, they would receive from You whatever they wanted. Do You mean that people can receive the infilling of the Holy Spirit that way?" He said, "Most assuredly, yes." Then I said to Him, "Lord, what about Christians? So many believers need victory in various areas of their life. They have the world, the flesh, and the devil to deal with. Some need victory over the flesh. Some need victory over the devil. Some need victory over the world. And some need victory over all of it. Are You telling me that any believer anywhere can write a ticket of victory over the world, the flesh, and the devil? They can do it?" He said emphatically, "Yes!"

He continued, "If they don't do it, it won't be done. It would be a waste of their time to pray for Me to give them the victory. They have to write their own ticket." "But, Lord," I said, "You're going to have to give me some Scripture to prove it. Your Word says, 'In the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established'' (Matt. 18:16). So give me more Scripture having these same four principles in it, and I will believe it. I would not accept any vision, even if I did see You, if You could not prove what You said by the Bible." No, He didn't reprimand me. He smiled and said, "All right." "There is a story from the Old Testament," He said, "that you have known since you were a Sunday School boy." I couldn't think of any story that had these four principles in it, so I said, "You will have to tell me where it is." He said, "In First Samuel, the 17th chapter, the story of David and Goliath."

"Now wait a minute," I said. "You're not going to tell me that is what David did?" He said, "Exactly. Those are the four steps he took. The very first thing David did was he said " (v. 32). David ran and hastened to meet the giant. He cut off the giant's head.
First, David said it. Second, he did it. Third, he received it. And fourth, they told it.

Jesus said to me, "Israel is a type of the people of God. Goliath can be any giant that might be in your life: a type of the devil, demons, the world, the flesh, sickness, or anything else that stands between God's people and victory. Every child of God can write a ticket of victory." (Kenneth Hagin)

THERE IS NO LIMIT TO WHAT OUR LIMITLESS GOD WILL DO IN RESPONSE TO A LIMITLESS FAITH

I was in Ireland at one time, and went to a house and said to the lady who came to the door, “Is Brother Wallace here?” She replied, “Oh, he has gone to Bangor, but God has sent you here for me. I need you. Come in.” She told me her husband was a deacon of the Presbyterian church. She had herself received the baptism while she was a member of the Presbyterian church, but they did not accept it as from God. The people of the church said to her husband, “This thing cannot go on. We don’t want you to be deacon any longer, and your wife is not wanted in the church.” The man was very enraged and he became incensed against his wife. It seemed as though an evil spirit possessed him, and the home that had once been peaceful became very terrible. At last he left home and left no money behind him, and the woman asked me what should she do.

We went to prayer, and before we had prayed five minutes the woman was mightily filled with the Holy Ghost. I said to her, “Sit down and let me talk to you. Are you often in the Spirit like this?” She said, “Yes, and what could I do without the Holy Ghost now?” I said to her, “The situation is yours. The Word of God says that you have power to sanctify your husband. Dare to believe the Word of God. Now the first thing we must do is to pray that your husband comes back tonight.” She said, “I know he won’t.” I said, “If we agree together, it is done.” She said, “I will agree.” I said to her, “When he comes home show him all possible love, lavish everything upon him. If he won’t hear what you have to say, let him go to bed. The situation is yours. Get down before God and claim him for the Lord. Get into the glory just as you have got in today, and as the Spirit of God prays through you, you will find that God will grant all the desires of your heart.”

A month later I saw this sister at a convention. She told how her husband came home that night and that he went to bed, but she prayed right through to victory and then laid hands upon him. He cried out for mercy. The Lord saved him and baptized him in the Holy Spirit. The power of God is beyond all our conception. The trouble is that we do not have the power of God in a full manifestation because of our finite thoughts, but as we go on and let God have His way, there is no limit to what our limitless God will do in response to a limitless faith. But you will never get anywhere except you are in constant pursuit of all the power of God. (Smith Wigglesworth)

LORD, LORD, HAVE WE NOT PROPHESIED IN THY NAME? AND IN THY NAME CAST OUT DEVILS? AND IN THY NAME DONE MANY WONDERFUL WORKS?”

When the angels decided that I had seen enough of the demons at work in this physical world, I was taken back into the Second Heaven just by passing through the dividing, dimension wall. Once back inside the Second Heaven, my escort guided me in the direction of the Third Heaven and I was happy at last. After all, this was where I had wanted to go all the time. Even at this stage, my physical life was still my primary concern. Suddenly we came to a most beautiful place. I know that I’ve already reported how terrible that the Second Heaven was, so you can imagine how surprising it was to find anything beautiful over there. God would not allow me to retain the memory of why this place was so beautiful. I do remember that it was the most beautiful place I’d ever seen. This place looked like a tunnel, a roadway, a valley or some sort of highway. It had a most brilliant light on its own and was completely surrounded with an invisible shield. I knew that the invisible shield was the protection of the Holy Spirit.

Walking in this tunnel, or along that roadway, or valley, or whatever, was what appeared to be human beings. I asked my escort who they were. He told me, “They are saints going home.” These were the departed spirits of Christians who had died on Earth and they were going home. Each of these saints was accompanied by at least one guardian angel and some had a whole host of angels with them. I wondered why some saints were accompanied by only one angel and others had many. I was watching as the saints passed through the way that all saints must take to go home.

Here it was, the passageway from Earth to the Third Heaven. I found that only “authorized” spirits were allowed in that tunnel. No demon was permitted there. When my escort had finished explaining to me about the homeward trip of the saints. I started into the tunnel. The angel stopped me and told me that we had to travel alongside the tunnel and not inside of it. I traveled, therefore parallel with but outside the tunnel where the saints were. While we were traveling alongside the tunnel, we did not move at the “SPEED OF THOUGHT.” Instead, we traveled as if floating on a cloud. In other words, there was no cloud but the mode of traveling felt as if I were floating on a cloud.

I could see the saints at all times moving along inside the tunnel. They were in the form and shape of humans, yet I could not detect any race, age, or sex. They were all clothed alike with the garments appearing to be made up of two pieces. There was a blouse or shirt and a pair of slacks. The color of the garments was a pastel, baby blue with one of the garment pieces being a shade lighter than the other piece. The blue was so light that it was almost white. I realize that these saints I was viewing had not yet received their glorified body because that must wait until the first resurrection.

At first I was disappointed that I was not permitted to travel in the tunnel with the saints, but the disappointment was eased when I was told that we were going to the same place they were going. After all, I knew that if my physical life was going to be extended, I would have to appear before God. Even now, my physical life was still the uppermost thing to me. As we traveled along, I noticed all around me that the demons were beginning to drop behind. The Gates came into view and the closer we got to those Gates, the farther behind fell the demons. When we arrived before the Gates there were no demons in view. Although the Gates of the Third Heaven opened out into the Second Heaven, no demon could come close. Instead of allowing me to enter, the angel stationed me before the Gates, slightly to one side. He instructed me to stay there and watch as the saints were permitted to enter into Heaven. As the saints were allowed into Heaven, I noticed a strange thing. They were permitted to enter only one at a time. No two were permitted to enter those Gates at the same time. I wondered about this but it was never explained to me. I’ve studied about this often since I have returned and now I think I know why. I believe this is a tribute or a salute to the individual. After all, that individual made the choice with his own sovereign will. Remember, it had been pointed out to me specifically that we, as images of the Living God, possess a sovereign will through which we have the right to choose our own destiny.

As the saints were being admitted, I was wondering why I was not being allowed to do what I came to do. I was so impatient to get my request before God that I missed the whole point of what I saw. This point was so important that the Holy Spirit told me Himself. I watched the fifty saints enter Heaven, but the point I missed was the time frame involved. It was explained to me that at the same time those fifty saints died on Earth, 1,950 other humans also died; or only 50 out of 2000 made it into Heaven. That other 1,950 were not there. Where were they? That was only 2 ½ percent going to Heaven! Ninety seven point five percent did not make it! Is that representative of the entire world today? If so, 97 ½ percent of the population of this world today is not ready to meet God. The sad part, my friend, is that it is exactly representative of this Laodicean Church Age in which we live today. We are now in the time when the great majority of church goers are only “mouth–professors” and not “heart–possessors.” At the outset, I stated that I would not try to convince anyone of anything I said. However, I would like to offer as evidence the parable of the sower as told by Jesus in the thirteenth chapter of the book of Matthew. If you read this chapter closely, you will notice that three out of every four people who heard the gospel preached, turned it down. That is seventy–five percent anyway you look at it. I am talking about three out of every four people who bothered to hear the gospel, turned it down! The sad part about this is the overwhelming majority of the people that did turn the gospel down, do not know that they have turned it down! They have bought a lie of satan and have been deceived. They have been led to believe something that is not the truth and they been fooled by satan into rejecting the gospel! Place the seventy–five percent who turned down the gospel with those in the world who made no pretense of hearing the truth and you have the overwhelming ninety seven and one-half percent of the population today! As I contemplate this fact. I now understand the Lord’s disgust with the Laodicean–type Church.

I also clearly understand the verses of scripture in Matthew 7:22-23 that describes how many people will stand before the Throne at the Judgment pleading. “Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy Name? And in thy Name cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works?” only to have the Lord say to them, “I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity…” (Pittman Howard)

YOU THAT ARE SPIRITUAL, RESTORE THE FALLEN

Years ago I asked a leader of a certain denomination, "When ministers miss it and fail, why isn't it handled biblically? The Bible says in Galatians 6:1, '. . . if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.' Why aren't ministers restored like the Bible instructs?" He said, "Brother Hagin, I believe many men who stumble and sin could be restored. If folks want to repent and do right, they ought to be helped. Of course, if they won't listen and won't take biblical counsel, a ministerial association wouldn't have any choice; they would have to revoke their credentials."

I was concerned about this, because I knew that some ministers who failed and made a mistake could have been restored. Some of them never did get back in the ministry because when they missed it, their denomination publicized it, and their reputations were ruined.

Then when everyone knew about their problem, these ministers were told, "Now go prove yourself." But after their downfall was publicized, no one would fellowship with them! And pastors wouldn't allow them to preach in their churches, so the majority of them never got back into the ministry.

Why don't we restore and recover ministers who have made a mistake? Of course, if they don't want to be recovered and don't want to live uprightly before God, that's a different thing entirely. But I'm talking about ministers who want to repent and do what's right. In Galatians 6:1, the Bible says, "consider yourself, lest you also be tempted." After all, in the same circumstances, some of us might not have done as well as some of them did. But we are so quick to criticize and judge others.

I was concerned about this, so I went to the Lord in prayer about it. I said, "Lord, Your Word says, '. . . if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness. . . .' I said, "Lord, it doesn't say to destroy ministers who miss it by broadcasting their problem; it says to restore them. Why don't we restore them?"

The Lord answered and said, "Your answer is in that verse." I didn't see what He was talking about. I said to Him again, "Lord, why don't we restore ministers who stumble and fall?" He said, "Your answer is in that verse. Read it again." I read it again, but I still didn't see it. I asked the Lord the third time, and again He said, "Your answer is in that verse.

Read it again." I said, "Well, if it is, I can't see it." Then again I read, . . ye which are SPIRITUAL __________ " I saw it! The Bible is saying, "If there are any spiritual people among you, they would restore those who have fallen — not judge, criticize, or destroy them." I said to the Lord, "Oh! I got my answer."

One denomination deals with restoring fallen ministers in a way I feel is most scriptural. For example, years ago one of their ministers got into moral difficulty with one of the women in the church. He was married and so was the woman. They both repented and wanted to walk right before the Lord. The supervisor of the district came to counsel the minister and told him, "It would be good for you to change churches.

We are not going to publicize this to anyone because you've repented and straightened it all out among yourselves. We are going to restore you, but it would be good for you to move to another state, and we will give you an opportunity to prove yourself." So after a time of restoration, they gave the minister another church to pastor in another state, and they didn't publicize that he had fallen. But they told the supervisor in that other state about the minister's problem, so he could be of help to this minister. They practiced this scripture and restored the man, and they put him in a situation where he could prove himself.

However, this particular minister did the same thing again; he had an affair with a woman in that church too. The district supervisor went to him the second time and gave him a period of time to restore himself spiritually and make restitution. But this time he told the minister, "We will give you one more chance. But if you get into any moral difficulty the third time, we won't restore you to the pastorate again. You will be immediately dismissed, and you can never renew your papers with us."

The Body of Christ shouldn't publicize everything that happens within its ranks. Things like this shouldn't be brought out in the public. Those of us in the Church should have enough spirituality to deal with these things privately within the confines of the Church. When something happens in your family, do you go out and broadcast it? No. In the same way, the Church is a family. We ought to have enough sense to know how to deal with some of these problems in the Church and help people so their lives can be restored, not ruined, and they can learn how to be a blessing to the Body of Christ.

I know one minister who was used mightily of God years ago. He got into moral trouble, and the superintendent of that denomination told me, "This man's wife admitted to me that she was to blame for it. She admitted she had never been a wife to him, and it caused her husband to stumble. But she repented, and their marriage was restored." That man's ministry was also restored, and he had a fruitful ministry. You see, we ought to save people if we can. The Body of Christ should be in the saving business — restoring folks —not destroying them. You understand it's a different thing entirely if people don't want to repent and do what is right. If they want to keep on doing wrong, they will need to be dealt with scripturally. (Kenneth Hagin)

BE CAREFUL WITH MONEY

In my ministry as a prophet, God has sometimes used me to foretell certain future events through the word of wisdom — many times privately and occasionally publicly. However, my main ministry as a prophet is to preach and teach the Word of God. As the Spirit wills, these other manifestations occur. But I never seek a vision or seek to hear anything from the Lord; these supernatural manifestations occur spontaneously as the Holy Spirit wills. There are times God will reveal to a prophet something that is going to happen so the prophet can warn the people involved.

For example, in the days of The Voice of Healing, I went to see a minister who had a large tent that seated thousands. A large crowd like that was almost unheard of in those days.

The minister showed me his tent, and when we finished talking, I went to get into my car. As I did, the Spirit of God said to me, "Go tell him he's not going to live much longer unless he judges himself in three areas. Number one, on MONEY."

This man had used the manifestation of spiritual gifts in his ministry to raise MONEY. That's not only not scriptural; it's not ethical. Those who are called to the ministry, including prophets, need to be very careful about MONEY. Ministers shouldn't be out for MONEY. Folks can't use the ministry to raise MONEY for themselves. Some folks in our day are flirting with disaster in this area and are right on the edge of it.

Then the Lord said to me, "Number two, tell him that he needs to judge himself on love. He's not walking in love toward his fellow ministers." This man would cut down fellow ministers without hesitation if they happened to cross him.

Then Jesus said, "Number three, tell him to judge himself on his diet." This minister didn't seem to exercise any self-control in his eating habits. Here again, this was a private manifestation of gifts of the Spirit operating in the office of the prophet. Probably ninety percent of the time, the prophet's ministry is in demonstration privately. Sometimes the Lord will instruct a prophet to go tell the person what the Lord has shown him, and sometimes He won't.

This time the Lord told me to go tell the man what the Lord had said. I started to get out of my car to go talk to the man, but just then someone else began talking to him. I sat back down in my car, and then my human reasoning took over.

I began to think, He's not going to listen to me anyway. As I sat there reasoning to myself, the minister I was supposed to talk to got in his car and drove away. I never had another opportunity to tell him what the Lord had shown me.

About three and a half years later, I was at a Voice of Healing convention. Word came that this minister was dying. Brother Lindsay invited all the ministers who were present to come up on the platform and agree together in prayer for this man's healing. I started to walk up to the platform, but the Spirit of God said to me, "Don't go up there." I stopped dead still, and asked, "Why not?" He said, "Because he's going to die." I asked, "Why is he going to die?" The Holy Spirit said, "Because he wouldn't judge himself and walk in love towards his fellow ministers. I judged him, and turned him over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus" (1 Cor. 5:5). So I just turned around and went to the back of the auditorium. Later that minister died just as the Lord had said he would. (Kenneth Hagin)

BECAREFUL HOW YOU RECEIVE MONEY (Zac Poonen)

There was a very wealthy brother in one of our churches. He came one day to my house and gave me an envelope, obviously containing some money. He said, ‘here you are brother Zac, this is for you’ I said, ‘ok, thank you very much’

As soon as he left my house, the Lord said to me, ‘Don’t touch that! Take it to the church office, get a receipt and give it back to that brother. You must not use one Rupee (dime) of that money for any of your needs’

He was a born-again, baptized brother, known in our churches, he was not a stranger. I went to the church office, got a receipt and when I saw him next I gave it to him. He said to me, ‘That wasn’t for the church brother Zac, that was for you’ I said, ‘That’s ok, you gave it to the Lord and it’s gone to the Lord, don’t worry’

3-month’s later, this brother fell into some sins and I had to correct and discipline him. My mouth was open. Now if I had received his money, my mouth would have been so full of his money that I wouldn’t be able to speak. Have you ever tried to speak with your mouth stuffed with money? Try it. Put a lot of currency note in your mouth and try to speak. I would not have been able to speak to that brother.

The Lord knew what would happen 3-months later and protected me earlier so I could speak straight. Why is it some have not been able to correct or discipline some in their congregation whom they know aren’t living right? It is because they have stuffed money into their mouth. They didn’t seek the Lord whether they should receive that or not. (Zac Poonen)

THE UNSEEN BATTLES IN THE SECOND HEAVEN

…If you do not believe in Satan’s existence and demons as being real, individual beings, then you do yourself and the Kingdom of God a great disservice. It stands to reason that you cannot understand or even withstand an enemy if you do not believe he is real.

At the moment I resisted satan, he fled from me. The angels were there and they took my spirit from my body. These angels were present all the time that satan tempted me although I did not know it because I was still in the flesh. The angels did not attempt to help me until I had resisted satan with my own will. The only help I had was the supernatural revelation from the Holy Spirit that the voice I was hearing belonged to satan and not to God. Whether or not to obey that voice was my choice. When the angels lifted my spirit from my body, they carried me immediately to the Second Heaven. We did not have to leave that hospital room in order to enter the Second Heaven. We entered there in that same room where my body was, just by passing through a dimension wall. It is a wall which flesh cannot pass through, only spirit. For you the reader, to understand what was happening, you must understand the separation of the spirit from the flesh. To know how this works, we must know how we, ourselves, are made. The Bible states that we, as humans beings are made in the image of God. To understand this, we must know what God is. The Bible states three immutable things about God: 1st God is Spirit, 2nd God is invisible and 3rd God is immortal. If we are made in His image, then we are spirit, we are invisible, and we are immortal. Therefore, when we look into a mirror we do not see our real selves. We see only the body, or earthen vessel, in which we live. Since we are all made in the image of God, we would all be mirror images of one another without our earthly, physical bodies.

Therefore, we were given a soul to separate us from one another to make us an individual. The animals in this world also have a soul. The only difference between their souls and ours is that our soul belongs to the spirit. Their souls belongs to the body. When their body perishes, their soul perish with it. When our body perishes, the soul remains with the spirit. When the spirit was lifted from my body, my soul came with it. I suppose the simplest way to identify the soul would be to say that it is one’s personality. The entire time I was away from my body I remained an individual, that is, I retained my own personality. I retained all my faculties. In fact, they were greatly enhanced.

As we moved through that dimension wall into the Second Heaven, I found myself in an entirely different world, far different from anything I had ever imagined. This world was a place occupied by spirit beings as vast in number as the sands of the seashore. These beings were demons [devils], or fallen angels, and were in thousands of different shapes and forms. Even those in similar shapes and forms were contrasted by diverse coloring. Many of the demons were in human shapes or forms and many were in forms similar to animals familiar to our present world. Others were in shapes and forms too hideous to imagine. Some of the forms were so morbid and revolting that I was almost to the point of nausea.

When I first arrived in the Second Heaven, I knew immediately in what direction I must go to reach the Third Heaven where God was. I don’t know how I knew that, but I did. I also knew that if I was going to get my prayer answered, I was going to have to appear before God the Father in the Third Heaven. I was aware that I was traveling in that spirit world under the protection of the Holy Spirit, and that the angels who were escorting me were also moving about under the protection of the Holy Spirit. It might seem strange to you, the reader, that the angels needed the protection of the Holy Spirit, but remember where we were, the Second Heaven. The Second Heaven is the place where satan presently has his throne located. satan is not yet in Hell although Hell is to be his final destiny. All the spirits in that world were aware of our presence and were aware of the Holy Spirit’s protection over us. To give you an idea as to why that protection was necessary, let me give a Bible reference to the power of satan as demonstrated in the Second Heaven. The tenth chapter of the book of Daniel tells about God sending one of His angels to deliver a message to Daniel. Because of the importance of that message, satan did not want it delivered. In order for the angel sent from God in the Third Heaven to reach Daniel, he had to pass through the Second Heaven. satan sent one of his princes, or one of his archangels, to stop the angel. The angel had to fight and could not get through alone so he had to call for reinforcements. God had to send one of His princes, or the archangel, to help the messenger and even this took twenty–one days. After the angel delivered the message, he reminded Daniel that he, the angel, would have to fight his way back through the Second Heaven.

As we moved about there in that world, I was greatly disappointed that my escort did not take me in the direction of the Third Heaven where God was. Instead, we moved in the opposite direction. As we moved from place to place in that world, I learned many things about demons. I did things differently in the spirit realm than what we do here in the physical world. FOR INSTANCE, WE DO NOT COMMUNICATE WITH OUR MOUTHS AND EARS, BUT RATHER, WE COMMUNICATED WITH OUR MINDS. IT WAS LIKE PROJECTING OUR WORDS ON THOUGHT WAVES AND RECEIVING THE ANSWER THE SAME WAY. ALTHOUGH I COULD STILL THINK TO MYSELF WITHOUT PROJECTING, I DISCOVERED THAT THIS REALLY DID NOT BENEFIT ME BECAUSE THE ANGELS COULD READ MY MIND. I could hear different sounds in that world, but I did not hear with my ears. I heard with my mind, but I was still able to “hear” those sounds. When we traveled, we traveled mostly at what I call the “SPEED OF THOUGHT.” When we traveled at the “speed of thought,” there was no sensation of movement. The angel would say where we were going and we were there. There were other times when we did not travel in that manner, and I was very much aware of movement while traveling.

One of those times when I was aware of movement was when they brought me back into the physical world and allowed me to see the demons working here. We moved about here somewhat like floating on a cloud. Still, I had the sensation of movement. Make no mistake about demons for they are very real. The Bible makes more statements about demons than it does about angels and it points out in Luke 10:18 that demons are evil. Mark 5:8-9 indicates how numerous they are and Matthew 10:1 shows that they are unclean. Matthew 12:21-30 states that they are under the command of satan and Matthew 8:29 shows that they can possess humans.
In the demon world, there is a division of power much like a military structured chain command with rank and order. Certain demons carry the title of prince, which is always the demon in charge of a principality. A principality is a territory, an area, a place or a group that may range in size from as large as a nation to as small as a person. When satan assigns a prince a task, the prince is given the authority to act in the name of satan and use whatever means necessary or available to him to accomplish his task.

When we started the tour of the Second Heaven, the angels began by showing me the different types of demons. Each demon was revealed to me in a form that indicated his area of expertise, and I soon discovered that there is no such thing as a “general practitioner” in all the demon world. They have only one area of expertise which they do very well. (HOWARD PITTMAN)

WE CAN DO SO MUCH IF WE ONLY KNOW THE WORD

"I never had heard anyone preach on this before. But some eight years before, I'd had an unusual experience with this verse of Scripture. I had stopped to see my mother and she'd told me I should visit my grandmother, who was very ill. I did stop to see her, but I was in a hurry. I wished afterwards I'd had a word of prayer with her.

While I was at my next meeting I learned Granny had become unconscious. After preaching every night, I would go where she was, which was about 35 miles away, and stay up all night with her. The rest of the family would stay with her in the daytime. She was unconscious all the time, so there wasn't much to do except watch her in case she did wake up.

One night I was sitting in the large chair by her bed and began to pray. I said, "Lord, I wish I had prayed with Granny. I'm sorry I didn't have a word of prayer with her. I know she is 77 years of age — and I can sense in my spirit she has lived her life out — but if she could just regain consciousness and I could have a word of prayer with her____"

I said, "I know she never would tell a lie for anything in the world." Yet, sometimes we can see sins of omission in our loved ones. I asked the Lord, "Let me have a word of prayer with her, so I can be sure everything is all right, and I will be willing to let her go."

Sins of omission as well as sins of commission are wrong. Granny had been born again in an old-time Methodist campmeeting in Tennessee when she was 14 years old. But for 40 years she'd had a serious physical condition — she couldn't hear out of her right ear. At one time she'd had an operation, but she still wasn't healed. The right side of her head always hurt, and as kids we never could jump around because she said it felt like something was pounding in her head. One time, however, some Full Gospel people laid hands on her and she was instantly healed.

Three years after that, when I was pastoring a church close by, I stopped and noticed she had cotton in her ear. I asked what was wrong and she said she had lost her healing. She had promised the Lord she would go to a church nearby, and would do more Bible reading and praying. But she hadn't done what she'd promised, so she had lost it.

I was thinking about these things and praying when a voice said, "WHY DON'T YOU ASK ME TO FORGIVE HER?" I was so startled I jumped out of my chair. My Bible and a book by A.B. Simpson went flying across the floor and back under the bed. I must have jumped three feet! I looked, but nobody was behind my chair. I got down, reached under the bed, and got my Bible and book. I sat back down and thought, Well, this is the third night I have sat up with Granny, and my imagination is playing tricks on me. I read a little while longer.

But then I got to thinking about this subject again. I said, "Lord, just bring her out of this coma and let me have a word of prayer with her so I can believe everything is confessed — and everything is all right. And I'll just let her go on home then." Just as plain as if somebody were standing behind me, the voice said, "WHY DON'T YOU ASK ME TO FORGIVE HER?" I jumped again. My Bible went flying one way and my book the other, all the way across the floor. I must have leaped three feet out of that chair again.

I picked up my book and looked behind the chair, but there wasn't anybody there. I said to myself, / know I heard somebody say that! I went back into the next room, which was the kitchen. The door had been closed, so I looked behind the door. I looked all around. And I couldn't find anybody. I went back to the bedroom where Momma was asleep, and I stood at the door and listened. I could tell by her breathing that she was sound asleep. I went back to another room where Grandpa was asleep in the back of the house, and I could tell by his breathing that he was sound asleep. Nobody else was in the house except the two of them.

I checked the back door. I even checked the screens and doors to make sure they were hooked or locked. I said to myself, There couldn't have been anybody in here. I went into the living room and looked behind the couch. I couldn't find anybody. I said to myself, / know it sounded like a man's voice.

I sat back down and decided, Well, this is the third night I have been sitting up with Granny and she is nearly dead. We expect her to die any minute. It's just my nerves. It's just my imagination playing tricks on me. I read a little while longer, and then my mind got back on Granny. I prayed for the third time, "Lord, I'm so sorry — You forgive me — that I didn't pray with Granny. Just let her come out of this coma and let me pray with her, so I'll be sure everything is all right. Then I'll let her go on home."

And the third time that voice said, "WHY DON'T YOU ASK ME TO FORGIVE HER?" This time I didn't jump. I sat there and answered back, "ME ask You to forgive her?" And the voice said, "YES. DID YOU EVER READ IN FIRST JOHN 5:16 WHERE I SAID, 'IF ANY MAN SEE HIS BROTHER SIN A SIN WHICH IS NOT UNTO DEATH, HE SHALL ASK, AND HE SHALL GIVE HIM LIFE FOR THEM THAT SIN NOT UNTO DEATH. THERE IS A SIN UNTO DEATH: I DO NOT SAY THAT HE SHALL PRAY FOR IT'?"
I told Him I still did not know what the verse meant. He said He was referring to the first part of the verse and He told me to ask Him to forgive Granny of every sin of omission.

I did that, and also asked that she be forgiven of any sins of commission. I asked that she be forgiven of every wrong, fault, mistake, and failure. I asked that her homecoming might be glorious. To me, that settled it. There's nothing more sure than the Word of God. I didn't build on an experience; the experience was built in line with faith in God's Word.

Eight years later, when Jesus appeared to me in a vision, He brought this verse up again. I told Him the only time I'd had an encounter with it was the time I was with Granny. He told me she had been in heaven with Him the past eight years. (Kenneth Hagin)
