Our school curriculum is highly flawed.

Of what developmental use are these questions to the students.

WAEC does not have other questions for students other than to ask who introduced cultism and when it was introduced in Nigerian Universities .

Who did this to us ?

We keep on condemning cultism in schools and at the same time we willfully glorify it and give it life.

In another thread, the topic is on the way forward after 50 years of the scheme.

I did my youth service when NYSC was 25 years old in Calabar , Cross River State.
That was in 1998.

The orientation period was the shortest yet in the history of NYSC till date - 2 weeks that looked like one month.

The service year too was still the shortest - from February to December.

Leaving the camp then, we were given questionnaires to fill on the way forward for the scheme.

What I suggested then is what I am still going to suggest now on the way forward for this noble scheme.

Presently as it stands , NYSC has outlived its usefulness as originally planned.

A very laudable program that requires modification and twerking to suit the present day Nigeria.

It should not be scrapped but rather restructured.

The scheme should be reduced to six months.

But the mandatory one year (monthly) allowance must be maintained.

The scheme should be broken down into three phases.

Each phase should last just two months.

During this six months every corp member must enjoy his/her monthly allowance.

At the end of the six months every corp member should be disengaged and six months allowance paid in full to prepare them for live in the larger society.

Phase 1- Security Training

Every corp member should be made to undergo two months compulsory security/military training.

The most basic security/military training must be given to every Nigerian graduate.

This is what is obtainable in Israel and the Korea nations.

At the long run, the country will have a pool of youth already endowed with the basics in private and public defence mechanisms who can always and easily be called upon in terms of emergency.

Other nations have military reserves and these can serve the same purpose.

Phase 2 - Food security

For the purpose of food security , depending on the season of call up, all corp member should be engaged in one form of agriculture or the other for the next two months.

Every state as a matter of fact must provide land for farming, facilities for poultry, piggery, fishery etc.

Depending on the season, any batch that comes in, continues from where the last batch ended.

For example, if it is for cropping, if batch A does the planting , batch B or C does the tending, the harvesting and as well the marketing if need be.

Every state must provide silos for storage after harvesting.

The States should as well partner NYSC and NGOs with the procurement and provision of necessary preservation equipments like cold rooms, drying/heating equipments.

Mills should be built in areas where cereals and legumes are foremost.

Hatchery facilities should also be procured .

Phase 3 - National Orientation

This phase that will also last for two months, takes care of the inter cultural and inter religious relationships of the diverse tribes and religions that make up the country.

Here every corp member must be taught all they need to know about their host community, state and tribe.

This is where the seed of "ONE" Nigeria must be sowed.

Integration and assimilation should be the bed rock of this phase.

In my opinion , the era of one who read Literature in the the Higher Institution, having a god father in NNPC and consequently securing a job in NNPC will be a thing of the past.

A History graduate can no longer serve in CBN because he has an oga at top.

With this plan or restructure every corp member will be highly productive to the nation.

Not this idea of CDS, that doesn't have meaning.

To me this is a better way to go

There is this popular saying and belief that any where you travel to or wish to reside , if you do not find an Igbo man , my brother get the hell out of there.
It is not viable and safe.

I remember some time in Benin around 2022 or 2023, a very very friendly and jolly Hausa man visits our company along Agbor road Ikpoba- Hill to collect used and condemned tire tubes.

In fact on one of such his visits , he informed us that his father advised him to make sure he confirms an Igbo man's presence anywhere he goes or wants to settle because the absence of an Igbo man suggests that you can never thrive in such a place no matter your business or engagements.

To put it mildly as he said it, "something is wrong with the place".

Guy, Igbos are everywhere, sentiments apart.

I will be least surprised if you do not find an Igbo man even in sambisa forest.

Politics / Re: When India Wiped Out 86% Of Its Cash Overnight .See Why & What Happened (Photo) by sidney22: 8:23am On Jan 29, 2023
Mr Modi's "shock and awe" declaration meant that 1,000 and 500 rupee notes would no longer be valid.

These may be the largest denomination Indian notes but they are not high value by international standards - 1,000 rupees is only £12. But together the two notes represent 86% of the currency in circulation

Higher denominations are simply useless. Promotes and encourages hoarding. A very wonderful tool for corruption practices.

I continue to wish for the Nigeria of old when N20 was the highest denomination and in note form.
N10 , N5 , N1 and 50 Kobo were all in note form while 10 Kobo, 5 Kobo , 1 Kobo and half Kobo were all in coins.

Even if you are not an economist , you will always agree that having higher denominations is always a format for corruption and destruction of the economy .

Nigeria was great when the rich and the poor had Kobo in their pockets because it was in note form.

Discarding the Kobo and introducing large denominations ruined the country.

We can only get it right when we revert to pre IBB regime when N50 note ( better life) was introduced.

At worst let N200 note be the highest denomination in circulation.

How many $1000 is in circulation or have you ever seen a £1000 note.

Nigeria has been programmed and is being programmed to fail.

A particular generation that benefited greatly from all the good and solid foundation laid before now failed this
country and it shall never be well with them no matter the wealth they amass.

Nigeria we hail thee.

Politics / 2023 Imo Elections - The Hypocrisy And Self Deceits Of Citizen Samuelson by sidney22: 8:44am On Jan 07, 2023
**RE: 2023 IMO ELECTIONS: HYPOCRISY IS AN ORPHAN IN SELF DECEIT**

Our attention has been drawn to a fallacious essay with the above caption written by one Mr Samuelson Ikenna Iwuoha being peddled on social media outlets by Mr. Iwuoha and his cronies.
We would not have dignified such hate ladden essay with a response but to save the innocent reading public from a concocted fallacy laced with bitterness, envy and lies intended to mislead and hoodwink the public.

The GOOD BOOK says in Proverbs 6. 16 -19 "These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:

A proud look,
A lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,

An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, Feet that be swift in running to mischief,

A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

Ironically, Mr Samuelson Ikenna Iwuoha - a self acclaimed sociopolitical crusader and political genius- in the second paragraph of his essay foolishly failed to take cognizance of this beautiful advice from the GOOD BOOK before running amok with hate.
But of course he couldn't have been in the know of such beautiful advice when all he does is offer his pen for hire to all and sundry.

Mr Samuelson Ikenna Iwuoha in his essay of four thousand and forty six words, two hundred and eighty eight words were merely used for his sub plot, writing on friends and party members while a whooping two thousand seven hundred and eighty two words was spent on maligning and disparaging perceived enemies. Distinguished Senator Ezenwa Onyewuchi garnered six hundred and eighty six words to come a distant second while Hon. Ikenna Onyechere Elezieanya was assigned a staggering two thousand and ninety six words.
Well that is not surprising knowing his antecedents. Depending on his perception of you- a friend or a foe. It is always a different pen for a different person for a particular purpose - *MONEY*

Mr. Samuelson Ikenna Iwuoha in his fruitless effort and self serving attempt to blackmail, malign and tarnish the image and personality of
Hon. Ikenna Onyechere Elezieanya, member representing Owerri Federal Constituency at the green chambers of the National Assembly and flag bearer of the PDP in the forth coming elections shows that the writer is not in tune with what the electorates expect from their candidate, gone are the days of blackmail and baseless propaganda.
This unwanton shenanigans by Mr. Samuelson Ikenna Iwuoha only continues to enforce our belief in the proverb that says "only a tree loaded with fruits attract stones from people"

What are the motives behind this witch hunting , if not jealousy and greed. *
Nwata huru onye ka ya ego nwee na-akpo ya onye ogwu ego.

Dedicating two thousand and ninety six words from four thousand and forty six words in his hate filled and envy laced essay says a lot about the bitterness in the writer.

For Mr. Samuelson Iwuoha to say, in his words that "The very good people of Owerri Federal Constituency are presently regretting the abysmal representation of Hon Ikenna Onyechere Elezieanya at the Green Chambers" , shows how naive our self acclaimed political genius is when it comes to political matters.

Having a jaundiced and biased mind towards a person and his aspirations does not make your opinion or views universal.
It is not the prerogative of Mr. Samuelson Iwuoha to declare who the Owerri Federal Constituents should choose during an election.
A man from Nkwerre can not love Owerri Federal Constituency more than the respective indigenes of Owerri Municipal, Owerri North and Owerri West.

It is curiously strange for Mr. Samuelson Iwuoha to come out at this point in time to talk about zoning in Owerri Federal Constituency, we now wonder if he just got this list of representatives from Owerri Federal Constituency since 1999 till date.
A crusader as he claims should have talked about this marginalization of Owerri Municipal in 2019 as a man of Justice and Equity rather he chose to work with "people of like minds" to deliver Hon Ikenna Onyechere Elezieanya.
In his own words "Consequently, a popular Sociopolitical Crusader, who notably is a member of this People of like minds , placed a call to Ikenna Elezieanya and invited him to a place in Ikenegbu Layout Extension Owerri, which he honored.
He was assured he would be delivered at the polls, not only in the Non- indigenous Wards of Owerri Municipal, but in Owerri North and Owerri West of the Federal Constituency" .

What has now changed ?
Why is he now talking about a non existing agreement ?

Oh we know now.

Settlement !!!

Machiavellian principle must always be applied to achieve your aim.

Why not sow discord among Owerri Federal Constituents to force Hon Ikenna Elezieanya to settle me , this he must be thinking.
To him this is pay back time as in his words " In 2002 , the same Ikenna Elezieanya was sponsored into the Imo State House of Assembly by a Group of 32 very young men, in their late twenty"s and thirty's, who contributed Funds, which he used to purchase State House of Assembly Form. Not done , these young men further provided Funds, Men and Materials during the campaign, which inadvertently led to his victory in the 2003 House of Assembly Election. It is on record that Ikenna Elezieanya never came back to Thank and Appreciate his sponsors". Again in his words , "Meanwhile, to ensure he performed optimally, a Blueprint was earlier Ingeniously developed for Ikenna Elezieanya by a Political Genius , and till today, he has refused to pay for those documents, which came in Part 1, Part 2 , Part 3 and Part 4 ".

This allegation stated above by Mr Samuelson Ikenna Iwuoha shows his capacity for falsehood and political chicanery .

For the readers who do not know Hon Ikenna Elezianya very well, a little background check on Hon Ikenna Elezianya will intimate us more on the person in question.
Hon Ikenna Elezianya is the first son of Chief Mark E. Elezianya, a renowned Civil Engineer of repute , the founder and Chairman of Macol Construction Company, an indigenous Civil Engineering firm well known to all Imo State extraction.
How could this 32 young men have raised money for Hon Ikenna Elezianya to purchase his form for House of Assembly.
Mr Samuelson Iwuoha has exhibited his lack of knowledge on Hon Ikenna Elezianya's victorious journey to the State House of Assembly, if he did , he would not have spewed this fallacy.
We challenge Mr Samuelson Ikenna Iwuoha to name just five people from his alleged 32 that donated money in 2002 for Hon Ikenna Elezianya's campaign.
We will reimburse the persons ten fold whatever they contributed.
An angry heart spews only bitterness and hatred.

Even an unborn child will comfortably dictate the bitterness masquerading as an essay written by Mr. Samuelson Iwuoha bothering on the non settlement of his bogus claims.

In his self edifying essay, he told his readers that the essay was written as a patriotic citizen of Imo State and not as one affiliated with any political party and as such, he expects us to weigh his views on a scale of patriotism.
This should have been a commendable and admirable effort and a worthy attempt to open the minds and eyes of Ndi Imo, instead we are faced with a man's delusion that stinks of personal vendetta.

But the question that many readers need an answer to- Is Mr. Samuelson Ikenna Iwuoha a patriot and is this essay truly without bias?
Well it is absolutely impossible for Mr Samuelson Ikenna Iwuoha to be patriotic and Yes, his is biased. Currently Mr. Samuelson Ikenna Iwuoha is the SSA Special duties to the Speaker, Imo State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Emeka Nduka. Prior to that, he was also the SSA Media to his predecessor Rt. Hon. Kennedy Ibeh so it becomes impossible for the neutrals to find this essay patriotic.

Mr. Samuelson Ikenna Iwuoha also strives very well in selective amnesia.
During the celebration of the Egbu Declaration about two years ago or so, the overwhelming reception and love showed towards the People's Governor Rt. Hon. Emeka Nkem Ihedioha sent shivers down the spine of the 3R enclave.
They sent out the likes of Mr. Iwuoha to try and discredit the declaration.
Mr Samuelson Ikenna Iwuoha using his pseudonym Facebook account " Okigwe Unity" threw decorum to the winds and repeatedly accused Rt. Hon Emeka Nkem Ihedioha of cheating Ngor Okpala people by going to the green chambers three consecutive terms.
He lamented in one of his outbursts that the People's Governor has no moral standing to seek for equity and fairness for Owerri Zone crying at every corner that he that must come into equity must come with clean hands but here he is today eulogizing Hon. Chike Okafor, member representing Okigwe South Federal Constituency and seeking for support from the constituents to allow him go for the third consecutive term.
This alone tells you all you need to know about Mr. Samuelson Ikenna Iwuoha, a man who thinks only of self aggrandizement.
Nothing else matters to him.

Going by the self instituted parameters in which Mr. Ikenna Samuelson Iwuoha is using to judge political party candidates in the forthcoming elections, which includes:
*Quality of candidate
*Character of candidate
*Integrity of the candidate
*Dignity of the candidate
*Credibility of the candidate
*Competence of the candidate
*Approachability
*Sociability
*Proven record of previous performance
*And so forth and so forth.

It is note worthy to point out that Hon Ikenna Elezieanya ticks the boxes a hundred and one percent.

For a first timer in the National Assembly who is not a chairman of any committee, not a member of any lucrative committee and also don't forget, a member of the opposition party , his score card of achievements is awesome and mind boggling. Hon Ikenna Elezieanya has fulfilled more than eighty percent of his promises to the good people of Owerri Federal Constituency and these are listed here:

Mr. Samuelson Iwuoha should please go and verify.

If Mr. Samuelson Iwuoha thinks because Hon Ikenna Elezieanya has not been to his house that he is not calling town hall meetings is laughable absurd and very naive of him.Town hall meetings have been the modus operandi of Hon Ikenna Elezieanya.

Mr. Samuelson Ikenna Iwuoha claims that Hon. Ikenna Elezieanya is seeking reelection which is his constitutional rights and hoping to win by recruiting thugs, cultists and other criminal elements indicates that Mr. Iwuoha is not abreast with the new electoral laws unless he is trying so much to be mischievous and very far from reality.

In as much as we understand Mr. Samuelson Ikenna Iwuoha's frustration at the great heights attained by Hon. Ikenna Elezieanya in his political career and life in general, we will not take for granted his serious and dangerous threat to Hon. Elezieanya claiming that all machinery has been put in place to ensure that Hon. Elezieanya is not reelected.

If the electorates decide so then to God be the glory but Mr. Ikenna Samuelson Iwuoha antecedents with cultists and thugs when he was SSA Media to Rt. Hon. Benjamin Uwajimuogu is well known to us.

The good people of Owerri Federal Constituency will hold Mr. Ikenna Samuelson Iwuoha responsible should any harm befall Hon. Ikenna Elezieanya.

Can a man carry fire next to his chest and his clothes not get burnt?

Or can one walk on hot coals and his feet not get scorched?

These are questions that needs answers from Mr. Samuelson Ikenna Iwuoha.

Finally we call on the good people of Owerri Federal Constituency to shun in its entirety, the frivolous, lengthy, envious and self serving write ups by political hatchet men like Mr. Samuelson Ikenna Iwuoha whose desperation and gross bitterness pack their storylines with political chicanery.

We admonish you all to vote wisely.

We want to use this medium to adviice His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma to be wary of the green snake in green grass named Mr Ikenna Iwuoha.

This advice also goes to Distinguished Senator Osita Izunaso, Hon C.B Williams, Rt Hon Emeka Nduka, Rt Hon Chyna Amara Iwuanyanwu, Hon Sam Otuibe, Hon Heclus Cyriacus Okoro and many others that he is presently on their pay roll.

An example of his dealing with late Rt Hon Benjamin Uwajimogu should serve as a lesson to them all.

Any day he feels his imagined due does not get to him, sorry shall be your case.

This also serves as an advice to every other Imolite wishing to interface with Mr Ikenna Iwuoha to beware of this sword of double edge named Mr Samuelson Iwuoha.

To be fore warned is to be fore armed.

Mr Ikenna Samuelson Iwuoha is a proud man with a lying tongue trying to shed innocent blood with his hands by devising wicked plans in his heart and running swiftly to evil.

Happy new year and a prosperous 2023 to Owerri Federal Constituency.

There is always and I say always one King of kings .

The King that is above all kings.

Messi is the football King of kings and no one else can challange that.

No one can dispute that.

No one can question that.

No one can change that.

It is settled.

Doubters and doubters .

Haters and haters.

Wailers and wailers.

Ndi mgbu na ndi mgbu.

Knoweth ye all men that inhabiteth this planet calleth earth .

Today it is undisputably confirmed that there is one and only King of Football.

Knoweth ye thou that your king of football today is no other than Lionel the son of Messi of the descendant of the tribe of Argentina.

Knoweth ye this and knoweth peace.

And to this we all say what ?

Long live the king !
Long live the king !!
Long live the king. !!!

You are all blessed.
