Marc9: U wanna hear another 1? Ok I'll tel u..You are right bro but gone are those days as far as federal universities are concerned. Of a truth there were days when Professors, H.O.D's, Deans do have admission quota/slots. Every professor is entitled to 2 admission slots, same for H.O.D's. there used to be Deans and VC lists but not anymore in federal universities except in pre-degree or part-time programmes. There are general criteria/standard for all federal universities, thanks to NUC. (Some lecturers were abusing that opportunity for money, sex, etc) I knew Prof A.B. Sofoluwe (Former UNILAG VC that died, may his soul rest in peace, ), through someone that introduced me to him. I was in his office one day when Prof Ibidapo Obe (the then UNILAG VC) came in (they were friends), Prof Sofoluwe introduced me to him and Prof Obe said to me "my boy, there is no DISCRETION again in admission, go and start preparing for next year, i'm sure you will make it if you do what i just told you". I later got in through diploma (now called foundation programme). The best thing is to meet the cut off for either merit/catchment area, no sweat. I believe and agree with you that nobody gets anything except God permits such but there are also principles of life given by GOD himself. Show me a man that is diligent in his business, he will not stand before mere men...., a labourer is worthy of his wage, faith without work is dead, etc If everybody goes to help them sweep in admission office or department of choice what will become of the already battered education standard and our educational system. |
@ Olanipekuntomi, fear not, you'll meet up. Go on with other registration processes |
adegab4real007: @Sigolis and @africaflozy thank you so much guys, I went to UI today to confirm/register my transcript, buh I was not asked to attach my O'levels o, I only write d serial no, course applied for and my fone number at the top of d transcript. Josh4JES: plsssssssss.......there should be a solution....there is no problem without a solution.....oh LORD i need Your helpGod will surely intervene and help you out. I do not have any info yet as per penalty for two forms but if what hormolorlah said is true, you'll have to pray that JAMB should have mercy and reverse its decision bcs UI has no capacity to give admission to any candidate whose name is not on JAMB list as applicant to the school. Even if you submitted your Reg No at MIS office in UI, the resolution is from JAMB office (my own opinion anyway). I also remember I advised/warned people against using their own hands to disqualify themselves (buying multiple forms) at the beginning of this thread. The fact that JAMB has not been efficient over the years does not mean there can't be improvement in their system. Let's hope that it's not because of two forms but if it is, let's pray for God's favour |

Remember this is DE not UTME and you didn't write any screening exam. Somebody who already has a B.Sc in Physiotherapy for example and applied to study Medicine will not appreciate any other course less than what he chose either as first or second, you can't give him biochemistry or nursing |

adegab4real007: @africaflozy I want to go to UI on Monday to confirm/register my transcript, my school confirmed that my transcript has been sent to the Registrar, the question I have is will I go to the Registrar's office first or I should go to straight to Undergraduate Admissions? Also what documents do I need to go with?Go straight to the undergraduate admission office, I don't think you need any other document, however you can go with photocopies of your credentials just incase, since it doesn't cost you anything. When you get to Iwo Rd, board a taxi going to Agbowo-Ojoo and alight @ Agbowo, cross to the other side and take a bike/keke to UI gate |

Abike054: Is dere no educationist in dis rumAsk your question, non educationists may have your answer |
He wasn't a jet freak pastor but an heaven focused man of God who never built a single house for himself and never used church money to buy any car for himself, sold his properties to finance church projects. Despite the wealth of his church and his close relationship with all rich and famous true pastors/bishops worldwide, he had not more than a car, a jeep A true man of God, RIP |
He said in the millennium reign, if Apostle Ayo Babalola (his mentor) is appointed by God as the President of a country like Nigeria, He will not be given less than the post of a Governor of a big state like Lagos. He has said many things, I keep pondering on his past statements with my bible, all were biblical |
Till he died he had no single house for himself except the mission house where he stays with some other full time, pastors, he built houses for dedicated and committed pastors, he has no house anywhere including his hometowns Ifon and Imoru. In his word "Mi o nii ba yin ko ile sori akitan yi" meaning "I will not join you to build any house on this dust bin" referring to this world as dust bin |
He was a true man of God to the core. A rare breed and a special prophet full of grace, he was still active till he dies, still attending church services. The only sunday service he missed in his lifetime since he became born again in 1928 was the sunday he died 24th August, 2014 at about 4:30am, a sunday preceeding the monday a 3day revival to celebrate his 114th birthday. May his soul rest in peace |
