I made UI my Second choice in 2014/2015 Jamb DE Registration Cos at d tym of their advert askin aspirants to register d jamb DE, there was nothin like specification of First choice only. Buh now UI is asking First Choice candidates to apply for the DE Screenin Exercise. Will I be considered if I should proceed with the Screening Exercise?? Thanks.

It's better you send a hard copy. Do you know ui email address, if yes, how active is the e-mail address? Only your school can take that decision after contacting UI. I will advise you to send hardcopy to avoid any unnecessary delay. Remember transcript is a CONFIDENTIAL document from one sch to another, not necessarily through courier service, if you have it you can take it down by yourself or send it through any other reliable means

Maximum of a week depending on the agency policy and the number of available letters going to the same post office. Don't worry you will definitely meet up

When I had my own experience, I started from my school's postal agency, I got the date the transcript left their office and a track number written on the envelope, I used that to trace it to the post office beside UI where they told me to go to the postgraduate admission office after checking the track number. The list even came out before I submitted my own transcript then, though I sent it earlier but was taken to a wrong office.

The greatest delay you should work and pray against is the one from your school (processing). Courier services are much faster if you can pay the bill, within 2days it will get there.

It won't be more than 2 or N3000 payable @ the bank before going to fill the form on UI website. Be careful don't fall a victim, apart from cyber cafe service charge, no any other fee.

Pls my school told me they had sent my transcript but on getting to u.i admission office they told me they had not recieved any transcript from my school,what could be the problem?

Schools do send transcript through postal agency, if your school has sent it and it's yet to get to the admission office, check the post office beside UI may be they have not taken them to admission office, if it is not there, GO TO UI POSTGRADUATE ADMISSION OFFICE, it MUST be there. I posted on this thread earlier that guys should make sure they include UNDERGRADUATE Admission when addressing their transcript

I guess the reason nobody is responding to your post is because you said you won't appreciate/value any response from anyone to your enquiry. I want to believe it was a mistake anyway, whether valuable or invaluable permit me to do the needful.

It is possible, just give all the details your friend might need and let him act as if it belongs to him, or he confides in someone at the office incase they want to act funny. I don't see it as a big deal afterall it's only submission and acknowledgment process which even your school could have done on your behalf, since it's not registration, by the way why do you want to do that if I may ask?

N36m fraud hits Ebonyi University Teaching Hospital, CMD sacked

The Ebonyi State government has uncovered fraud to the tune of N36 million at the state University Teaching Hospital, causing the State Government to sack the Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Dr. Onyebuchi Chukwu.

The Nation gathered that the fraud was padded up in the allowances and arrears to be paid to resident doctors, when government demanded for vouchers to be prepared for the payment of resident doctors’ accumulated allowances and arrears.

Sources revealed that there was additional N36 million naira to the total sum of N200 million, which was the actual amount that was supposed to be the accumulated wage bill causing the state government to suspect that the hospital management did not provide the actual figure for the payment of the allowances and arrears.

In its efforts to carryout investigation into the matter, the State Government decided to relieve the Chief Medical Director, Dr. Onyebuchi Chukwu, of his position for what source described as "genuine investigation of the fraud."

This development, a source said, led to the indefinite industrial action embarked upon by the resident doctors in the state teaching hospital.

A new Chief Medical Director has been appointed. He is Dr. Ekuma Aja, a renowned consultant surgeon and retired rear admiral of the Nigeria Navy.

Hospital sources noted that the new CMD faced a herculian task in his new duty as a lot of needless actions were taken by the CMD in terms of victimization of some medical personnel on tribal grounds.

Reacting to the matter, a public analyst in the state, Mr. George Nwankwo, called on the State Government to establish a general hospital in Abakaliki metropolis, stressing that the absence of a general hospital has made lifre difficult for the people.

Thank God he is one of you guys (doctors), that confirms all allegations of JOHESU against you. But why is this coming at this time since 2008, is it because he understands the system (your greed) so well or because his decisions are no longer favourable to doctors because all other health professionals have taken him to court and won?

calaharry: Shocking, this is d only nation I have seen maltreating people of noble profession. Why wont their public health system be in shambles. This is quite unfortunate, go to Europe and usa to see how well med docs are cared for , so that they can focus their minds on delivering quality healthcare, without having to be worried about their accommodation, family welfare and their work infrastructures etc. I am highly astonished at many anti-doctors and adverse comments on this page without looking in between the lines. Ha! My son will never be allowed to practice meds in Nig.

With due respect sir, all the people that made comments on this thread cannot be having hatred or beef for doctors. Those comments would not have been necessary if doctors had been reasonable in their demands, how much did they pay to study medicine and to undergo residency training in Nigeria compare to what American doctors they are comparing themselves with paid. N100,000 for hazard allowance only every month, how much is total monthly package of a police or a millitary officer inside darkness in the bush everyday? Or is it because they didn't go to sch, how many unemployed graduates do we have in Nigeria or you think those ones are unfortunate university leavers? Myopic reasoning, doctors are not enough in Nigeria, is that why they should take the govt and patients for granted. If all professionals in every sector should make the same demands doctors are making, what will become of this country?

JAMB DE form is still available, no closing date has been announced yet. I once again salute all great minds and brains on this thread. I want to believe you have done your JAMB DE online registration, if no, hurry up buy JAMB DE scratch card and fill on jamb website, print your slip and make a photocopy to be submitted alongside other results i.e waec, ijmb, ond, nce, hnd, b.sc, etc as the case may be. Get your transcript from your former school and submit at UI. The last stage is what everyone is waiting for which is DE ONLINE SUBMISSION OF RESULTS, where all candidates will have to upload their passport, certificates and fill some forms on UI website, that's all. Keep following this thread while you visit UI website religiously, info on DE will be posted this week or next week.

I'd like to know if UI organizes screening tests for her DE applicants and at what stage am I required to submit my transcript?

I have a BSc. and I applied for DE to Medicine.

As at last year, no test. The only screening is verification of credentials. Call for submission of transcript and online submission of results will be made public on UI website any moment from now. Thank God post utme is out of the way, the focus is now on DE. Get your transcript ready, some people have submitted theirs.

It's possible since utme list comes out b4 DE list, they are different qualifications and they know you'll always prefer DE (200L) to utme (100L) but you can only register for one.

Gideonaire: Thank you, sigolisis. I already have the certificate. Only certificate and transcript are being given at my school anyway. But I was told the transcript will only be required when a D.E candidate has already been selected to continue his/her studies at any choice of school. Now, I think schools can only send your transcript once and following this issue of submitting before the screening exam going on here, I am kinda lost. And another important aspect of the transcript is that it is always being addressed to your intending school choice from your initial school. What if after the screening a student would not pass the screening exam? What then will happen if such student would want to try D.E next year, probably this time not UI? Who will address the school such person would be trying out next? And there you have a transcript already addressed to the University of Ibadan i.e if you even have the document file with you.

You raised a good arguement we can all reason and discuss. Firstly, you can always apply for your transcript as many times as possible, provided you can pay the bill. Having said that, you can get your transcript back if your admission didn't work out, I'm talking from experience. The day I went to submit my transcript at the admission office in UI 2yrs ago, I saw my name as number six already on the admission list out of ten people admitted through DE, after the celebration as I made towards the door out of the office, one of them noticed that I had ignorantly submitted two o'level results instead of one as required by my dept of choice. I cried (there was no clue as at that time regarding one sitting for medicine and pharmacy unlike now), I lost the admission, but before I left the admission office that day, I asked if I could take back my transcript that I just submitted and they said why not since the admission did not work out and my transcript with hundreds of others were just starring at me from a carton right in front of them there. I thereafter re-used the same transcript in the same UI though. That is possible with another sch also, only the envelope and address will change, just make sure you don't alter any of your subjects and grades because they will find out sooner or later

Thanks for the info, I know of guys applying for DE with B.Sc degree, if such a person applies for the same course with an NCE holder, will their CGPA be seen as same? Will the same calculation be applied for them? I don't know, but I don't think so. I guess there are other screening methods they apply

I have already registered, submitted my printed copy of the jamb confirmation slip which shows that I registered for D.E at the jamb office, but without my Diploma certificate because it wasn't ready as at the time I went to do the submission. Please, does anyone have any info for me? I finished with distinction, Diploma in Computer Science at Olabisi Onabanjo University but wish to continue at the University of Ibadan.

Nothing to worry about for now, just pray that the result comes out early enough for the screening at UI

Think about your future especially marriage. You can't attract any responsible man when staying alone as a lady. REAL guys won't see you as a responsible lady or wife material. Staying with a relative is far better. Players won't see anything wrong anyway.

Sorry for late response, I'm not in Ibadan @ d moment. Where are you coming from, if you leave early enough from your base you can submit your transcript and still go back on the same day. Nevertheless, if you want to sleep over in Ibadan, you can always talk to any of the students. Good luck

I guess you don't have your statement of results/certificate, meaning you have not totally finished from the school bcs you've not been cleared. Sincerely, it is only your school that can answer that question. Ask them at the Registrar or Record office. Tell them what you need the transcript for and the deadline, if they can help you speed up things.

I don't think so, even if they did and you wrote the exam, they will not process your admission except if there is a provision for a change of institution which I think is even too late now. Post UTME is meant for those who chose it as first or second choice only. Pls go to OAU admission thread you will get more useful and related infos

No. Just online submission of results (on UI website) when it is time.

Yes, provided your school gives it to you. Some schools don't give it to students, they send it directly i.e school to school

akinsanmiobafemi: Are u sure of what u are saying? I was at UI admission office last week. Was told UI doesn't take ND/HND for DE into microbiology dept. I was told they are just planning to start doing so next session. Where is d source of ur info.

I have no objection to what you've said, as long as you got your info from the admission office, it is genuine. I think Ampicillin was just giving a general DE requirement in sciences but each dept also has its own criteria or special consideration
