There is ALWAYS A WAY OUT! ALWAYS
Tell this to the officers and men that lost their lives this year and last.. it can come in any form.. RPG, IED,AA fire.. and one might not even get to fire a single shot..but last last if the officers and men that have died had the opportunity of running, I believe they’d have taken it

But why is that Nigerian military is not always allowed to be a riffle (gun) when they are not on duty or carry it home with them?
They are only allowed to use it when they are in a special operations or mission.

And as a military personnel is it permitted to have or posses your own personal riffle?
The army is not the police.. you are supposed to check out and check in.. there’s nothing you’ll need an assault riffle that belongs to the army for at home.. if the police adobos this same practice sef, it’ll be a better force

hmmm brother, Its possible alot, first, sequel to your response to a soldier shooting himself, as cadets there is a golden prayer every instructor prays for us "May we never be captured by the enemy", bro plssss NEVER pray to be captured by the enemy, NEVER EVER. As officers of the armed forces death is not a thing we fear, we are prepared, trained for it. Do the brave thing when the chips are down before the enemy.

Secondly, it's very possible that you run out of ammo in battlefield, experiences of officers and soldiers that have being in the frontline have made it glaring to us, presently in battlefield, forget having your "First line scale" I'm sorry I cant explain further what it means for security purpose. Without your first line scale how can you engage an enemy for even 2hrs of intense firing, thanks to armour and artillery though. Without those guys just forget it!

I hope I made little sense, I pray all of you on this list make the forthcoming shortlist really, my prayers are with you. This group made me!
God go help us bro.. we’d finish strong

Alright... What if you run out of rounds? What next? Pray? And hope BH treats you nicely when they mamsa you?
Omo what if when you are captured, you aren’t killed.. what if! You most definitely might but what if.. I’m sorry I won’t kill myself man.. na American film go wan make us off ourselves.. what if the minute you are almost captured is the same minute your boys will launch a counter offensive to save you.. I’ll rather be captured and beheaded than killing myself.... all death na death but it’s what happens after that’s important.. make person no serve him nation con go he’ll go Dey receive torment.. besides if one is captured, he’d have a little bit of time to settle with God before he’s killed.
This is an opinion oooo.. before people go enter me

Honestly, I think the smart ones should be kept from the front lines as much as possible. Unless of course he/she happens to be a tactical genius.

Imagine wasting our very own Henry Moseley
my cousin finished the best overall graduating cadet in his RC, navy has been cruising baba from course to course with very minimal deployments.. his job is just freshness and inshaallah...

Yes and you’d be given one army Hilux.. after 2 years, I’ll become your own so you Can repaint it.. then you’ll start picking wife from the series of babes that army will offer you.. usually like 10-15 babes.. choose the finest ooo, cos officers no Dey marry ugly babes.. you are entitled to one chef that’ll be delivering you food in the frontlines.. They will furnish your apartment from appliances to kitchen utensils..

If the protests heighten!! The only thing I see the army doing is canceling the exams and shortlisting names for screening...so that people can start finding their way to kaduna and Ibadan respectively..

As a Lt you're entitled to two aides(1 driver and one body guard). In addition to that a paid civilian cook and laundry man(wey go dey starch your khaki) will be assigned to you once you're not in a war zone (North east). Even in the northeast if you serve up to 8 months you'll be entitled to one Benz not less that 3 yrs of production from the year of service in the northeast.
Forget passion and all the people wey dey talk say money no dey army my brother enjoyment one kee!! officers you no see like COAS dey shine? Once you reach Captain you be entitled to fine fine Ashy's from Barbados, Thailand and other Asian countries but the army will only pay an all expense trip for two. Let me stop here there are many things I won't like to say when you enter you'll see. Just pick up the HTACOS you go see all the benefits of being an NA officer.

The way I see this entire thing ehn, doe it’s my own personal opinion and it’s different from yours.. This is a military thread.. it’s not far off if somebody comes here to drop military slangs.. if somebody doesn’t understand, what the person should do is ask for a translation..

3.. it’s a avenue for people to learn these things..

Was wondering, thanks.

But why didn't dey use yellow shoulder tags with their ranks inscribe on it? Instead, dey decided to use "red"
Thats how the academy ranking system is.. ranks are on red patches..as long as Ssc cadets are in the academy, they have to do academy things..
